Cons: When we made the reservation we chose Alamo specifically because it said the pick up would be in the terminal while others said a shuttle would be required. A shuttle was still required, and was packed with people (no social distancing), but the ride and check-in were both very quick. Our vehicle was in excellent shape and there were no hidden charges. I would absolutely rent from Alamo again.

Pros: Alamo customer service addressed my concerns that the employees, including a manager, entirely and rudely dismissed and supplied me with a voucher to be used on a future airport rental.Cons: I was misinformed twice about the requirements to rent a vehicle, over the phone, then in person. This cost me precious time, undue effort and capitol on the most important day of my life. The model that I reserved was not available and the manager of the location tried to casually downgrade my luxury reservation to accommodate what inventory was available instead of locating my reserved vehicle and the employee who went to find it. The vehicle was an suv and not a sedan, as reserved, which made our disabled occupants struggle entering and exiting. The vehicle was rushed through the cleaning process while we waited and was washed on the exterior and brought to us wet. The interior was filthy and had no cleaning done whatsoever, this was a major concern to us during this global pandemic as we were informed that all vehicles underwent an extensive disinfection and cleaning process. Passengers of ours were HIGH RISK candidates for Covid 19 and it took me an extra half an hour to clean and disinfect the vehicle to an acceptable standard, a risk I was forced to take, along with more of my precious time on this day. The associate who presented our vehicle to us gave us no walk around or paperwork to assess prior damage, of which there was some, and literally handed me the paperwork, said "Have a good one" then ran away, back to his station. My associate and I were shocked by the experience and had no option after an hour and a half of this process but to take the vehicle and be on our way. The entire time we were treated like second class customers based on the fact that we used a third party service to reserve the vehicle. My reservation was for noon and we did not leave the lot until 1:30, though our pickup time was entered as one o'clock. I have rented from Alamo many times and have never experienced such a hectic, confused, disgusting, unsettling, overpriced and unprofessional occurrence such as this.

Pros: Nothing at all.Cons: Nutshell Version: Rented a car for a road trip to a Northern State. Nothing in any documentation that I reviewed stated there was a problem with this. I even called to upgrade and paid extra for a class upgrade. Two months later, when I got to the counter I was told that I couldn't drive the vehicle outside of their "regional zone" without extremely expensive penalty fees. Obviously, this meant I couldn't use the vehicle and instead of granting me the full refund right there, I was told that they would open a complaint ticket and it was only "likely" I would receive a refund. Several days later I get a refund that is nowhere near the 650.00 that I paid for the rental nor the extra 140.00 for the upgrade. They are thieves and scammers. DO NOT RENT FROM SIXT.

Pros: The reverse camera.Cons: We caught an Uber from the DFW airport to the Mariott Hotel where Sixt is located. Once we found the sign, it took us to an empty parking garage. We asked the hotel front desk clerk and she walked us to the Sixt office. We told the Sixt agent about the signage leading to the parking garage and she just said "Yea, I don't know why we even have that. It makes no sense". I originally tried to rent a Toyota Camry and somehow ended up renting a Toyota Yaris. Dunno how that got changed. However, I was okay with that since the only reason I was renting the Camry was high gas mileage and the Yaris had comparable gas mileage. The clerk once again made a comment about Sixt not even having a Yaris in their fleet in the first place and doesn't know why it's one the website. I then asked if we could get the Camry that I had originally tried to book as we want a car with good gas mileage. The clerk said she would upgrade up at no charge and give us a Chevy Equinox SUV. I told her we would rather have the Camry, we do not want an SUV due to the poor gas mileage. She told us she doesn't have any Camry's. I asked if she had any other vehicles besides the Equinox. She said she did have others but her boss told her that she could not give out any other vehicle than the Equinox and that the other vehicles were only to be rented to new customers for the Thanksgiving holiday. So we got stuck with the Equinox. We paid double the cost in fuel than we would have with what we originally rented. To us, the upgrade was definitely a downgrade and when we asked to receive what we wanted we were basically told no. Pros: The comfort of the car. The upgrade fro troubles we had with pick up. The politeness and professionalism of the staff.Cons: The third party explaining that the pick up was 30 minutes from the airport. We had to rent an Uber from the airport car rental lot to the hotel where the actual car rental was located. Very unexpected and frustrating.

Cons: Pick up was horrible. Thrifty counter was closed and detected me to the Dollar counter where there was one person working while a second arrived and departed several times. I stood in line for 50 minutes to receive the “suppliers choice” which was the absolute basic of cars a Chevy sonic.

Pros: I was dropped off in Dallas Loves field for pickup. Was upgraded from compact to a new Tacoma pickup. The Drop off in Little Rock was a little confusing due to covid -- there was a small sign at the booth on the return with instructions that took me a while but once figured out the staff was pleasant and my end bill ended up being less than quoted.Cons: A little more detail or larger sing at at the drop off for Thrifty at LIT Airport but very minor.

Cons: We were traveling from Detroit to Houston, but due to bad weather we were forced to take a flight intoHouston then drive down the rest of the trip to Houston. I booked a car with Hertz online as that was my only option and confirmed my pickup time and location. Upon arriving to pick up I found that there was NOBODY THERE. We were told by the nice folks at the collision center where this location resided that they are notorious for just not showing up without warning. Terrible customer service! We promptly found that Enterprise Rental Cars was just down the way and booked a car. Within the hour someone from Enterprise was at Hertz’s door to pick us up and take us to our car. We were on our way in 10 minutes. That’s how it’s done!

Pros: The staff was friendlyCons: When the rental was reserved I planned to drop it off on Saturday before my flight home. When picking it up I was told the location is not open on Saturday, something that should have been disclosed at reservation. Also, there's a fee to drop it off at another location that they can't tell me. Because I wasn't going to agree to an unknown fee, I had to say I would have the car back on Friday. We then had to figure out what to do for the last 1.5 days of the vacation with our sons. When calling customer service, I was told I have to contact the location I want to drop the vehicle off at and then the lady hung up with no other comment or question. I called customer service a couple days later and was able to get the fee for an "extra" day and returning it to another location. That fee was $40 higher than the entire cost of the rental. Overall, it was very inconvenient, put a damper on the whole vacation and I didn't get the impression that anyone at Hertz cared or tried to be helpful.

The seats had some wet spots, which I had to clean off. May have the solvent they used to clean the car that had not dried. But who knows. My real problem started when I went to drop the car off. The designated drop off location was closed. There was no drop box. Spent about an hour on the phone with CS to find me a different location to drop off. Was charged a late fee for going beyond schedule drop off time

All customers were redirected to Avis, and there was a line with about 150 people, and only 3 Avis representatives. DFW is a major airport and this was a busy weekend, don't know why all rental agency counters would close at 9:00. Waited 2 hours in line to get my car.Cons: Counters open, plenty of agents.

Pros: THE drop off was easy. the pick up was not.Cons: From the time I landed hopped on the rental car bus to the time I was on the road was 2 hours (not good as I was on an emergency trip trying to get to the hospital to see a family member) The Payless window was not open. I along with others that rented with 1 of the three companies had to use the avis line. Even though I had reserved my car online I still had to wait in line. What is the point of doing it ahead of time if you still have to wait in the general line. I was asked if i wanted their toll coverage. pay in advance for tolls for a set price. even if you use a toll 1 time they would charge you 12.99 for every day of your rental. if you didn't choose it and used a toll they would charge you 7.99 a day plus the cost of the toll. I declined the coverage. I couldn't get a straight answer about the toll roads in the area or what to look for. I accidently used a toll as it was not clearly marked. The toll was .80! Fortunately I was smart enough to contact the toll agency to pay the toll before the bill was sent to the car rental company. I paid the .80 in lieu of paying $28.80 to payless. Also they offer you gas coverage. I understand it is a higher rate, but even if they only need to fill 2 gallons they will charge you for a whole tank. no thanks. I only used half a tank and there was a very convenient gas station on the exit to the rental return.

Pros: The manager was super nice. They ONLY accept credit cards for van rentals. Wasn't stated anywhere. So we had to go back home and get our credit card. Apparently, the guy at the counter assumed we wouldn't be back? So when we returned, we had to wait for a van to be cleaned. Then the van's front seat didn't move up so we had to wait again to get another van sanitized and cleaned. So the plus side of the rental - the manager knocked a little $$ off because I was waiting for about an hour and a half.Cons: The customer service behind the counter - the India guy was rude!!! OMG rude. And, of course, I got the same one when I returned the vehicle. I had to switch payment from my CC to my debit. He was rude about that. The rental agreement must've been packed because it wasn't in the van. Then he charged me for being late. The nice lady next to him said the time starts when they run the card, not even when you get the vehicle and leave. Mind you, I was waiting an hour and a half for the van to be ready for us. That needs to change. They knocked the hourly rate off, but the guy asked the lady why I was being stingy because we already had $50 knocked off the rental...Ummmm one had nothing to do with the other. So Payless at Dallas Love Field - Ya'll need to get rid of that guy. He's rude AF. Everyone else was nice but him. Also, don't start charging people when the card is ran...charge when they scan the paperwork when you exit. Because that is when the rental period should truly start!

I asked if their shuttle had stopped running and she told me no. Well, I never saw one... "Oh they say Love Connection on them." That is not the name of the company so how on earth would I ever know to get on that shuttle? They certainly never told me that.

Ok BUIT Could Have been BETTER or GREAT!!Pros: The Shuttle Van was the 15 seat we needed and Little extra space. Good on Fuel as well.Cons: The Insurance needed to cover the 15 Passenger Van was not enough to cover so i had to get additional Coverage$$$ Also there was a Safety issue with one of the seats did not have a belt buckle locking clip? Was missing so that had caused some discomfort to couple of passengers due to Sharp edges had caused some cuts and small lacerations on 3 passengers.

Bait and SwitchCons: My interaction felt like a bait and switch. I was told contradictory things by the person at the counter doing the contract, the person who checked car back in upon return, and manager of the lot/return process. It felt like a bait and switch, as my original cost estimate was doubled at the end. I called customer service the next day, and "contract was closed" and they could do nothing due to limitations of "they system". Classic excuses for bait and switch.

She acted like we were bothering her and tried to give us a compact car when we were paying for full size. We had to go back to the counter to get a full size car. The first friendly person we encountered was the lady that checked us in on return. Pros: Yes the staff was friendly. The off airport rental was not fun. We were dropped off at the rental place and they picked us up from the rental place. On our way back We had to uber from their facility.Cons: If we knew it was off airport then we wouldnt go with them.

Pros: We could never get ahold of the company to get our rental. We would like a refund. No where was it mentioned that the company was closed on Sunday and that there would be no way to get ahold of them.Cons: Letting the renters know when the company is closed and when it would days would be best to rent.

Cons: This rental company is off, off, off the DFW terminal property. Getting to their location was a complete mystery. The number to call for shuttle service did not work. I was never able to contact a live person, so I had to walk-up to the Budget counter at the real rental car center at DFW - and got the most amazing van on the spot for an incredible price. Don’t go off-brand, even if you need a van.

Pros: Drop off was easy - we needed to drop at 6PM, which is after hours, so were able to use a different lot close to the airport that had a shuttle service.Cons: Pickup instructions were inaccurate.The instructions said something to the effect of "call the rental company when you pick up your baggage". They should have been "Shuttle to the rental car center, then call for a 2nd shuttle to our location". Our group of 6 was not happy.
