Good price for clean, quiet, modern single King room. Shuttle to airport was a nice convenience. The staff were friendly. Decent place to stay if you just need a room overnight in close proximity to FLL. Only a very slight annoyance: a rail line runs just a block or so west of the hotel, so the occasional train horn in the middle of the night might keep light sleepers from getting a full night rest.
great location to the airport and nice clean facilities. Rooms were a bit noisy, and I felt the staff could've been a bit more accommodating and friendly.
Convenient to the airport, booked at the last minute during an unexpected layover in FLL. Clean, feels very new. A bit sterile; other than the airport, not too much going on
Clean. Well maintained Only downside is no lounge or restaurant and there is not much nearby
Staff is top notch. Free shuttle to the airport. Nothing negative
Quaint, friendly staff. We chose the Rip Tide because we wanted the charm of the classic motel/hotels of years ago & it fit our wants/needs Definitely not their fault, but Mother Nature put a "damper" on our stay!! We made the best of it but could only imagine that nicer weather would've only made the charm & experience that much better!
on the beach bar scene
Towards the end of the board walk Close to several eating places Outside music / bar on property 2 free hrs. bicycle rental Staff very nice and helpful Free WiFi You can only check in until 9 and then office closes Was not given Wi-Fi password and it wasn't in the room so I couldn't work my first night (apology given, and accepted)
Great location & solid WiFi! (Hotel Employee) & staff were very nice & attentive. Even threw party for guests during local parade. Hotel 1 block from beach & boardwalk with restaurants & bars in short walking distance. Washer & Everything was at the very least acceptable.
Location and cleanliness and the fact that I could cook and not have to go out and eat. The price.
Location and room They were not there to check us in- we had to wait an hour in the heat outside. The suite had window unit that was off, therefore the suite was extremely hot. It did not cool down. Florida was in the 90s. We slept hot. Expensive to receive this service.
I am not sure there was a good review for this. I walked into my room to find a used tissue laying on the floor. There was something brown on a toilet seat. First night of two reservations they took my reservation but didn't have a room. The associate overnight name razz seemed like he didn't care. Leah was behind the counter while having headphones on. The general manager was supposed to contact me regarding a follow up. Never did. Overall, I'm going to give this hotel ones Star. It was absolutely the worst experience in a hotel I've ever had. I am a flight attendant. I am in hotels quite frequently. Congratulations Motel 6. You've lost a customer. The senior management staff in this hotel has made it clear they don't really care either. I'm taking money out of my pocket to go to a hotel that I have a reservation with that doesn't have a room for me.
Clean room, comfortable bed Ran out of pillows, when first arrived room smelled heavily of bleach, missing light bulbs
Has a pool n onsite laundry Weird people walking lot at real odd hours making noise out In parking lots people have more than one dog In room have to listen to them bark all the night
Worked for our weekend in south Fl. Small room
It is in a decent location. Not far from the beach. 2 grocery stores nearby and a few decent restaurants. Not too far from Ft. Lauderdale. Small rooms, bathroom was dimly lit. Had a blanket with cigarette burn hole in it. TV was busted. They moved me to a different room and I had a better experience. I would go back if I had to. Not a terrible experience, but not one to jump for joy about.
The staff were very pleasant & helpful. The hotel was in a prime location and we could use two beaches. One was within 5 - 10 minutes walking distance and the 'Fort Lauderdale Beach' was 5 - 10 minutes on the bus. There were a great choice of restaurants in the area too.
I liked the staff, the kinda retro vibe, low keyed. It was right next to the beach, just had to cross the A1A. Bar right there, free breakfast. Lauderdale by the Sea is more relaxed than Ft. Lauderdale and they didn't allow spring breakers in so there was never loud noise. I would highly recommend this hotel. It was all fine. It isn't luxury by any means so if you like super fancy, this isn't the place. Other than that, it was perfect.
It is a "nothing special hotel", next to a very busy road. Luckily my room was not noisy. Maybe the breakfast is a little boring after a few days. Also the wireless had problems in my room.
This hotel was an unexpected treat because has the original architecture, lighting and friendly staff without even trying to market their retro vibe. Reminds me of the hotels in the south florida mysterIes I love to read, Best part, I was a little worried because I was unfamiliar with the area, no problems at all, we even left our car unlocked without knowing. Great bar and fun bartender, make sure you ask the price of the "Skittle" shot offered before you order one or more!!!
The staff was very friendly. I was happy to be close to the beach. For the money I paid, I was very far from the airport and any sort of night life. But that was definitely not the worst. I do not like to give bad reviews, but the room was hot and musty, the mattresses were covered in plastic and worst of all, my friend got BED BUGS. Talk about being embarrassed about booking that room. I would not recommend the hotel to anyone.
I didn't like anything about the place. It's old smell and I found bugs on the sink. The manager offered another room and told me, guest bring the bugs in REALLY! Awful place
Nothing that we liked, my wife wanted to leave immediately and couldn't wait to leave, we travel the world, but this hotel is no three star, may be less than one.
Too far from airport and ship port. Was not clean. Didn't book our shuttle when we requested it. Continental Breakfast was awful.
Staff was was friendly, WIFI was very sporadic....and had to be outside to use it. So bring a long Ethernet cable as the port may not be in an ideal location (mine was hidden behind the TV stand) . Bar was closed (by the state of Florida.....not sure why.) Close to Beach, local stores and restaurants. Not fancy....no frills....but a good value. WIFI isn't strong ....must be outside of room (in patio area) to use. Even then it was sporadic. Parking was a little limited due to the rear parking lot losing about 10 spaces due to being flooded.
Nothing. I could not wait to check out. Nonsmoking room smelled like smoke. the room I was transferred to had the A.C. off. I had the front desk figure out the connection. the room did not cool off until after 3 A.M.
The hotel was located across the street from the beach which was easily accessible. Many restaurants and clubs were nearby. Staff was helpful when we were in need of cab service. The bathroom, although small, had been recently renovated. The hotel is in need of updating. Many things were outdated. We felt the room was overpriced, although we were there during high season.
Customer service was horrible. I damaged by vehicle on the building because there were no signs warning me of a sharp turn. When I asked for help the staff was rude. When I asked for assistance from the manager over the phone he made excuses for his staff and refused to help with expenses to fix my vehicle.
Staff was friendly and location was good. Just a short walk to the beach and shops. Good value. Mattress was basic and pretty firm. The room, in particular the bathroom, was dated and in need of renovations. The pool was right in front and not very private from the street or other rooms. Decorative fountains had green water that needed to be cleaned.
Angel was very cheerful and helpful!
Location proximity to beach Nice patio area with grill but you couldn't have guest . Stayed at ocean drive ville for previous 5 night and were alowed guest and parking was included in room price which was equavalant in cost
This place is a hidden little gem among larger hotels. .its only one block from the beach and small places to eat...has the 50s nostalgia feel to it..stayed here overnight before a cruise and will definitely stay here again....place is spotless. ..doesnt have all the bells and whistles of larger hotels but who cares.....
I loved the clean, crisp look of the decor and tile flooring. The bathroom and bedding were basic but clean and bright. It was in a prime location and walking distance to many retail and, coffee shops, restaurants and bars. We were leaving for a cruise and the port everglades area is just a mile away. For the price it was an excellent place and the staff was friendly, but were a little strict about people smoking by their vehicles on the street. They also had a closed off courtyard/patio around back that had chairs, picnic tables and flowers to relax and enjoy the sunny weather. Definitely recommend. Staff were friendly but seemed strict in my opinion to tell someone they cant stand by their own vehicle to smoke.
The price was good, the staff was very nice, and I also liked that their vending machines rook credit cards. The sheets were very scratchy and the towels were worse. I only had about 1/8 of a toilet paper roll and no extra one.
Cheap, not too far from FL Room smelled of smoke, even though was non-smoking. Could do with a refurb. Had no problems but didn't feel 100% safe. Would personally look elsewhere next time.
(1) I did not like having to pay for internet access when other hotels/motel have internet access free (2) I did not like not having an iron and iron board in my room.
Upon arriving to hotel around 10 PM tired I was told that my room has been reserved for somebody else and that they were sorry but they had no rooms for me until someone walked in behind me and they sold my room to him for a higher rate in front of me and said sorry we have right of first refusal over third party company I booked from!!
Very noisy, shabby looking bedspread, noisy air conditioner. People talking loudly in hallyway at 4:00 AM
The only good thing about this place was their pricing. - Stained sheets in bed. - Not soundproof at all. - Very loud neighbours. - Unfriendly neighbourhood. In general this place felt like the cheapest motel on the street.
Slept night before early air travel I requested non-smoking...I Am very allergic to smells..and the room flat out stunk...of cigarette smoke...and stale smells...horrible......i was disappointed in booking because I requested non-smoking, and hotel staff told me that the reason I was not given priorty was that I booked through you...will not do that again
I wasn't murdered during the hour I spent in the parking lot, waiting for someone to show up to check me in. There was no one in the "24 hour office" to check me in. I spoke with an employee earlier in the day to let her know I'd be a late arrival, and she said she'd be there. She wasn't. I couldn't check in. still haven't been refunded. Also, the location is downright scary! Stay away.
The staff are very courteous, and the rooms were quite clean. The rooms are small, but as prior reviewers have said, it's a budget inn. It's not 24 hours, so if you are going to be late, do call them to let them know you'll be arriving late. Upon check-in, we were given a remote with access to Netflix. I did not take any photos of the room, but the room had a full-size bed and tv on the wall. There is a small rack on the left for hanging clothes. The bathroom was tiny; I wouldn't expect someone significantly overweight to be able to use the facilities with any ease. Countertops are granite. There is a small in-room refrigerator and microwave with ample space to place your food/beverage/extra bags. It wasn't terribly noisy. We heard some news from people outside, who quieted down after a few minutes, and you can hear a lot of the traffic from the street. There were only two electrical outlets that I noticed, so if you need more, I'd suggest bringing along a power strip. There are no in-room hair dryers. We were given exactly two washcloths and two towels, so if you need more, you might request them upon check-in. Bring your own conditioner if you need it, as well as a shower cap. We were asked if we wanted more pillows, which I thought was very considerate of them. The area isn't the best in town, but I didn't feel unsafe either. It's only 5 miles from the casino and if you're looking to save a little money while visiting the casino, you can't go wrong with the Belvedere. There's even continental breakfast in the morning, which I wasn't expecting. Coffee, donuts, bagels, orange juice, and cereal were provided. We stayed for two days, and would certainly come back. Room size/bed size; It's a little cramped but given our short stay, it wasn't really an issue.
The staff is very friendly and gracious and willing to do whatever they can in order to fulfill your requests, when they are there. Keep in mind however that this IS an economy facility, so don't expect the world (for instance, there's no towel rack). The neighborhood doesn't look "nice," but don't be intimidated; it isn't dangerous, it's just tired. The restaurant next door serves dinner until 10 pm. It's convenient if you want to be centrally located to Broward and Dade counties, or to the Hard Rock casino. There is no 24-hour staff - The Belevedere is a small Inn, not a hotel. Once everyone is checked in and their immediate needs are seen to, you're pretty much on your own. Make sure you're not expecting any more than that. You may be able to reach them for emergencies, but it may be difficult. The number posted on the door may not be answered.
Good location for cheep room. Ac worked well we had the room ice cold in no time. Room smells like smoke. Door was really hard to shut.
The hallways have a strong smell of cigarettes. The bed had a dent in the middle. The furniture was stained. The toilet paper was low. There were roaches in bathroom.
Maids were very nice and kept the place clean No complaints
The television, there was a lot of channels There was Cochroaches in the room, people at the front desk had no respect for customer.
Channel on tv Water licking from roof
Comfortable bed, hot shower. Relatively clean room. Lots of ugh lets say lower income folks around, not nasty or anything like that but you definitely get what you pay for here. A solid 2 1/2 star motel.
Big bed and clean bathroom. The front of the hotel but whatever!
Location Dirty rooms, spiders, the hallways smelled like marihuana, weird people walking at 3am. Worst place ever!
This place is a DUMP !!!!
Room and mattress were fine Scary looking people standing around outside late at night on check in. Next morning was nice normal clientele. Breakfast of cereal and toast and juice was disappointing.
Don't waste your money here you might get sick from mold Old photos online are false advertising and you guys are terrible at keeping the property clean and maintain you need to knock this building down
Can't beat the location just off expressway and minutes away from downtown Hollywood. Major upgrade to the rooms cable carpeting and overall arrangement Hallway needs new carpeting needs improvement on outside lot. Needs minor details with touch up painting and chair can be updated.
