9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, stunning home, fabulous room and buckets of character. But most of all, Ethna and Henry the hosts. From the moment we walked in we felt like we were home. Ethna greeted us and we've never been made to feel so welcome, it was like visiting friends or family and we were instantly at ease and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble and we were very well looked after. Our room was something else as well - enormous yet warm and inviting with beautiful furniture and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Bathroom was lovely with lots of nice touches as well. Breakfast was perfect for our needs with fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt and fresh juices, tea and coffee as well as a very tasty cooked breakfast. We will definitely be returning and look forward to seeing Ethna and Henry again when we do.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting and well decorated and furnished.
Cons: All was good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, super clean rooms and a lovely place in general. The gym and spa were fabulous. Breakfast was good and the meal in the The Garden Restaurant was wonderful. The food in the cafe bar above the gym was also extremely good wholesome stuff, with a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: Opening the gym and breakfast up at 6am would be better for business travellers - I could have used the gym and had breakfast before leaving for work. Notices about keeping towels to save the environment from lots of washing were ignored - my towels were replaced daily, in spite of placing them on the towel rail as advised The noise from the wedding on the Thursday night was too much to bear (dance floor was underneath my room) and I had to ask to be moved at 11pm - not ideal. As I had been there all week, I would have expected them to realise and move me much earlier. That said, they were very apologetic and moved me quickly once decided. I woudl recommend asking on check in whether your room is near any party rooms!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location & decor of hotel Room was large Staff were quick to assist me Gardens were lovely Garden restaurant was lovely Large car park Bed was comfy Bed was large Lots of wardrobe space room and comunal areas were clean
Cons: No toothpaste provided, but other things like a sewing kit and shoe sponge shampoo provided but no conditioner window was small so not much natural lighting the bottom portion of the window was frosted glass so you could not enjoy a view from this room I would have liked to book the spa the same time as I booked the hotel but you could not book online so I had to wait until the next day to ring and unfortunatley there was no room
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the Annex which also housed the Spa which was excellent given that it was away from the Wedding Reception that was taking place in the hotels main building.
Cons: The Spa should be opened all day or at least longer than 2-3 hours at a time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds, the staff, the room, everything was perfect.
Cons: Nothing fabulous!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: All the environments and the staff
Cons: The breakfast could be better.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything else no more faults.
Cons: Room smelt funny. Bath wasn't clean room 19 1st floor. But that's all. So use to the rooms being extremely good standard a bit of a let down.
6.7 Good
Cons: Poor bar facility outside dining room.Too small, cold and characterless
7.7 Good
Pros: very comfortable, easy to find, lots of space, quiet as a mouse.
Cons: I'd give the food a miss. the staff are great and really attentive but whoever is in the kitchen needs to learn how to cook. One cremated meal arrived which looked like boil in the bag, just couldnt eat it. There were only a handful of people in the restaraunt now I knwo why.

Pros: Clean and cozy. Late check in. Host was excellent.
Cons: Kitchen knife, tin opener should have been provided. More windows for fresh air would be good.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: No complaints other than was few webs in places.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building and surroundings. The rooms were gorgeous and we appreciated the upgrade to our room for my partners birthday. Dinner was beautifully cooked. The massage was amazing.
Cons: Small details were missing. We were let down by the food- mainly the quality and taste of the breakfast. The spa messed up our booking for a massage. The hotel dining room staff insisted we eat in the bar even though we were guests in the hotel who had also booked a spa break so we felt like second class citizens. The portions were very small and extra side dishes expensive, in fact anything you wanted extra was an added cost. The shower in the room was badly designed - water poured onto the floor. All the water in the spa was scalding hot. We had conditioner in the room but had to ask for shampoo twice. Lots of Niggly things that frankly should have been there for the price you paid and to meet its ‘luxury’ title and price
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Area, spa, the room
Cons: The stairs to get to the spa were not very safe either the ones to get to the swimming pool
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Didn't have any breakfast but the other facilities were perfect

Pros: the food was very good and the grounds are very tranquil .
Cons: the spa pool areas could do with some updating and attention
7.5 Good
Pros: Very relaxing environment.
Cons: No aircon in rooms, food and drink service extremely slow!
4.3 Okay
Pros: The grounds were better kept than the hotel
Cons: The blue bell room needed New carpets and head board they were disgusting overall very bad value for money. I stay in hotel's as part of my job this was one of the worst. I would have been better staying at a premier inn clean comfortable and good value for money
6.3 Good
Pros: Easy free car parking
Cons: No air conditioning in the room so had to sleep with windows open, it was noisy and uncomfortable. The fan in the bathroom runs all night long so it was noisy. There are not enough staff on reception to help with check in or problems.
6.8 Good
Pros: the rooms were a nice size and the spa was lovely, very pretty location
Cons: The room was really hot and gave me a disrupted sleep due to the fan being loud but unfortnately not making much of an impact on the heat in the room. Also due to there being no fridge in the room the water became room temperature/warm. Also no wifi access as the wifi was so temperamental and due to the location my own personal phone signal was extremely poor in the room. The spa should be open until later.

The staff were friendly but it could have been explained as was frustrating.

Cons: Nothing springs to mind. Single room is a little cramped, but compared to other hotels in Ilford the Rosales is definitely a cut above...very good value for money.
7.0 Good
Pros: I.liked that the deposit could be handled in cash where by it was returned the next day , a logistical delight in comparison to others which say they will return it in 7 days but with weekends work out most of 2 weeks

8.0 Excellent
Pros: I like the fact that the staff went beyond to make sure my family found appropriate room, this was due to sudden change in finding childcare. I spoke directly to the staff at holiday inn and they were happy to change my booking to accommodate my husband and my two toddlers

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nothing to not like in the time we were there
Cons: Nothing in the time we were there
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Attentiveness of staff when we advised them of malfunctions of the air-con system and shower. All were attended to and remedied within a few hours of notification. Breakfasts choices and Main Meal menus catered for all tastes. Unlike the competition (Hotel Campanile) this hotel is modern and up to date. Breakfast was included in the room rate.
Cons: Nothing
6.8 Good
Pros: The bed was comfy. That was the only positive here!
Cons: When I called up to change the date. The attitude of the staff was disgusting. They hung up on me when I asked a question, she replied ‘I don’t know’ and hung up! If you don’t know, fair enough, but don’t hang up and give attitude! They need to sort out their manners and customer service!
6.8 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good, the bar area was clean and tidy prices not to bad.
Cons: First night had to find bar staff.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good for a continental buffet, did the job for a group of 5 adults and 6 children!! Location close to Dartford tunnel was very convenient Surroundings was quiet and could appreciate the view of the QE bridge.
Cons: We had booked 3 rooms unfortunately it was the hottest weekend of the year and with all the AC's in the other rooms on full blast I guess that affected our ac's as 2 of the 3 AC's did not cool the rooms. However staff were very understanding and brought in fans as well as offered a discount on our 2 nights stay.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff - very helpful and friendly
Cons: We liked everything!
7.5 Good
Pros: The location of this hotel is great, just off the M25. The staff were great. Breakfast and dinner were good.
Cons: Many hotels charge for parking which you accept, but our friends came to join us for dinner and had to pay to use the car park too. Everything was on a pay first basis, it felt like you almost weren't welcome. Also all the pillows were big and lumpy, there was not the variety you get at other hotels. It made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. The shower was a power shower head, but there wasn't enough presure of water.
7.5 Good
Pros: The outside space. There were pleasant places to sit and relax or have a drink or eat in the garden and terrace.
Cons: The air conditioning was ineffectual
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff. Lovely bar food. Good parking facility. Good Location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice overnight stay visiting friends in Grays clean hotel good bar and even though they had a big wedding on there was enough staff to ensure everyone was happy
Cons: Nothing Apart from paying £3 for parking which is totally unnecessary
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Steak was great in restaurant and the service there and in the bar was very good.
Cons: I booked a double and was given a twin. This partly sorted by my being given a single room with a large bed. A small discount was given on check out.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good location and comfortable
Cons: Reception staff rude and obnoxious
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed , loved decor and all staff very helpful
Cons: Sunday evening our meal was served in bar due to events in the hotel that day, we were told this is normal for a Sunday, whilst I don't have a problem with that the service was so slow on getting starters then for each course. And seating not ideal for number of guests attending or comfort , elderly guests trying to climb up on bar stools where small table to try and hold their meals wasn't big enough . Also sadly lots of cigarette ends around outside on the Sunday probably by inconsiderate guests attending that days events
7.5 Good
Pros: the location, its close enough to London to make savings against the London equiv. and the quietness, the free wifi
6.3 Good
Pros: Location to my work
Cons: The room door does not open well Not comfortable entry to the room Supposed to be free parking, I had to pay £3 for overnight stay

Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about the hotel. I felt sooooooo relaxed after my visit to the spa. Can’t fault the place. Only minor tiny thing was the room was a bit dark as there were only lamps for lighting. But as I said something silly and minor
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Spa and decor lovely staff were amazing specially one that put a food gifts and card I our room for my sister birthday they made it special..
Cons: Wasn’t anything I didn’t like about property I’m glade I went, I wish I did sooner..
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: We had stayed in a wonderful hotel from the same company the night before but this was nothing like it. Free parking was good and a cozy breakfast garden (except for the noise from racing)
Cons: The hotel stinks smoke from the lobby to the rooms. The noice from the racing is disturbing. Only stairs and lots of them to the rooms and nobody that takes up your luggage. There is nothing else around. This is a racing hotel and probably perfect for those guests but not for me. My view from the room was the laundry and a garbage container. Looks terrible and the laundry personnel started making noise very early.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: My room was a family size room which was great as I had a double bed all to myself :-) The bathroom was spacious and there was both a shower cubicle and a bath tub available
Cons: for the size of the room, there could have been a fridge. At breakfast, the staff were a little slow to top up breakfast supplies 9ie milk for cereal and pastries). When I went to help myself , there was nothing there :-(
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Check out was slightly confusing with 2 members of staff changing over mid way
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel! Would definitely stay again, lovely spacious clean rooms, amazing air con! Super comfy bed, only bad thing is that the hotel extras are extremely pricey, and we had to wait an extra hour and half to check in as the room wasn’t clean, they told us to go get a drink as we had to wait, which cost £10.50 for a small glass of wine and a coke! Really it should have been complementary as we were left waiting, lady at reception was very apologetic and polite about the situation,

8.0 Excellent
Pros: friendly staff, very quite, food and drinks good.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Very dated hotel. Bathrooms old, clean but no cleaning can bring them up to date! Hotel needs upgrading. Really not worth the room rate.
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good - great choice and it was hot and freshly cooked. Plenty to eat and could have had more if we had wanted it. Flexible times suited us.
Cons: The wall mounted shower didn't work so we had to hold a shower attachment to wash and shower - this was awkward when washing hair and rinsing off. The lamp on the dressing table has a loose bulb which flickered so didn't seem safe to use. Most hotel rooms have king size beds nowadays. A double bed was a bit too snug, especially as it was a very hot night. The duvet was obviously winter weight & totally unsuitable considering the hot weather. The whole room was a little 'sad' and in need of an update. The curtain edges were badly frayed. The tiles in the bathroom were damaged giving it the look of being dirty. The chair was badly stained and needed a good clean or reupholstered. Another chair would have been helpful. Some of the issues were reported to reception.
7.5 Good
Pros: Everything else. Breakfast was spectacular!
Cons: Having to pay for parking
7.5 Good

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, lovely white linen, together bathroom towels. All staff very professional.

Cons: Our room could have had a fridge
