The sheets were incredible, nuff said!
The hotel was very nice, bed was comfortable, room was clean, check in was easy. The fan on the heater in the room sounded like a vacuum cleaner. It is probably a minor fix.
Good hotel upscale and fun decor, steak place next door and Starbucks nearby The staff member who first checked us in tried to tell us that all King rooms were taken even though my reservation was for a King Deluxe room. He shrugged and said that wasn't his problem what a third party promised. We could have a standard Queen. I spent thirty minutes on hold with hotels.com with no resolution and then checked back when another front desk person arrived. He got us into a King room though not King deluxe. He gave us a drink coupon as well. While the second front desk person was great, the attitude of the first was so bad that it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not sure I'll ever order a hotel through Kayak or it's unknowable network of third parties and fine print that the advertised room is not guaranteed.
Friendly staff and they were able to accommodate my early (8:30 am) check-in request. Breakfast wasn't open until 7:00 am. Pretty late opening for those who want to get breakfast and head out for an early morning meeting or appointment.
great experience. good staff, clean rooms and hotel overall. Good reasonably priced in the restaurant. Stayed 4 days at a seminar on site. Would recommend to anyone visiting the north shore/suburbs.
Staff was great and the bed was wonderful. Great value and was close to family.
Room amenities. Fridge, charging station, room safe, breakfast buffet
The staff was friendly My room was not cleaned and I did not receive clean towels until 11pm that night!
Loved the room! Loved the warm colors, the bed was soft, the room was clean. Plenty of space in the room. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves. Room service was great! The staff at the front desk wasn't very friendly or welcoming. There was a tall blonde man who was a bit odd. Wasn't rude but wasn't friendly or kind either. Hard to explain, just seemed like he was having a bad day and was forcing a smile. The only other complaint I had was the bathtub. Seemed a little old, and had a couple stains. Everything else was great!
I ended up having to bring my dog with me because I couldn't get her on the original flight planned. They were very helpful and accommodating with no extra fee for her! They unfortunately were out of dog beds but they brought up some extra towels for her to lay on.
Overall too many hidden charges
I didn't like how thin the walls were. You could hear what was going on in the adjoining room. On top of that the people in the adjoining room had a party until 1am. Hard to sleep when it seems like you are a part of the party.
Comfortable beds and clean room. You can here everyone in the lobby. Especially during wedding receptions.
Beautiful hotel. Good staff. We didn't have breakfast included so when we went for the buffet I was shocked at the price. Did not expect it would be so much for 2 people. Should have asked first.
Room was very nice. Terrible continental breakfast and terrible bar. Undergoing some lobby and main are construction so hopefully it will be much better.
Everything was very clean and the beds were very comfortable! I didn't like that I had to also pay a $50 deposit and that the hotel cost did not include a continental breakfast. For the cost of stay, we should have been offered breakfast at no charge. I have stayed at a lot cheaper hotels with breakfast.
Likes: mostly quiet, exercise room top floor, decor, Westin was honest and upfront about renovations with possible noise during our stay-not a problem ar all either, beautiful room. Parking lot in poor condition and not ample parking close by. Adjoining rooms - extremely noisy when someone else is staying next door. Lower level exercise room/pool closes early at 9pm.
The front staff was not knowledgeable and helpful. I asked if I could book two more days at the westin in Chicago downtown and she said I had to call the hotel.
We showed up well before check-in, but were immediately checked in to our room. AWESOME bed. Didn't ever want to get out of it! Room was clean and spacious with a nice picture window. 375mL bottle of Grey Goose....$55 plus $3.95 delivery fee plus 21% service charge? Whoa.
Beautiful facilities Comfortable beds Excellent customer service Additional facilities fee
It was close to Schaumburg, IL. You can hear everything, from the person next door to the people in the lobby and we were on the eighth floor! There was also a surprise "facility" fee for each night we stayed. We had to pay $9.95 to be able to use the Internet for 24 hours.
Ease of getting in and out of the area. close to many restaurants and shopping The hotel was very hard to find due to the lack of signage on the outside
I enjoyed the entire stay! Amazing staff and the rooms were impeccable! Will definitely return! I had no complaints!
Very comfortable and nicely appointed. We came for business, but squeezed in a trip to the mall. We didn't use the shuttle, but appreciated there is one and it makes the immediate area very accessible. We'd return and recommend to others who need a place in Schaumburg to stay.
It was clean and comfortable. Good value for the price No refrigerator in room
The rooms are clean and fairly large. All the necessities are included in the bathroom even toothpaste! The bathrooms are clean and the rooms are comfortable and fairly dark at night. The food at this hotel is the worst food I've ever experienced from any hotel. I've stayed here before, about a year and a half ago, and the food was horrible then and it's horrible now. Their yogurt parfaits tasted sour. The food in the restaurant is tasteless and overcooked. It's also pretty expensive for the quality.
Booked a King bed room, but upon arrival was told it was unavailable.
We had family from four states stay here when we all came together for a surprise party weekend. We all loved the décor overall, enjoyed the Sunday brunch, and clean, comfortable rooms. Pleasantly surprised by the saltwater pool! Our ages ranged from four to seventy-five -- all gave thumbs-up! Sam & Harry's got points for a nice brunch and great service on Sunday morning - but not so much Saturday night when the hostess gave some (bad) attitude. Hopefully, just someone having a bad night. Overall -- great facility & staff! Wish the pool hours would be extended - maybe adults only later? (Hard to relax or do laps while someone else's unsupervised kids are throwing footballs all over the place!) Also - WIFI should be a given at a facility like this!
Nice room and helpful staff. In and out easily. Parking is incredibly bad, so far away.
I am in Buffalo Grove area every 3 weeks on personal business. I will not stay at Westin again. WiFi is additional cost and not cheap. Business hotels offer WiFi free of charge or included in room rate. Charged me $7 service fee for a drink from room service. The drink cost around $10. Ridiculous! When I complained, receptionist was not very interested in making a compromise or even removing it from the bill. I will not be staying at Westin again. I certainly will not recommend it.
Proximity to my mom`s home. Very courteous staff.
Hotel was very nice, great swimming pool and whirlpool.Rooms wer'e clean and service was friendly.
the hotel was very nice, and service was excellent. nothing spectacular but perfectly acceptable. the hotel did not have a record of my reservation when I arrived and had to call booking.com to confirm the reservation. I do not know if that was the hotels fault of booking.coms but it was annoying
cleanliness of room check in staff
Wireless Internet, good parking lot, kind services, clean, spacious and two big queen beds. I wish the hotel price includes breakfast without extra charge.
The staff were particularly helpful which is always much appreciated.
Cleanliness. View. Thats about it Didnt like the fact that there was not enough spaces to park my car. The lot was completely filled, and the hotel offers no valet service. I wouldve happily paid $10-$15 for valet, instead of having to drive around the lot in circles for close to half an hour waiting for a spot to eventually open up. The staff didnt offer much helpful suggestions on where to park my car if a spot wouldnt open up. - The room was nice, clean, organized. My only complaint about the room was the bed and pillows. Most umcomfortable bed Ive ever slept on. No pillow top or decent padding on the mattress. You can literally feel the hard springs digging into your back. The pillows offer no neck support, so you pretty much have to bunch the hell out of the pillow so that at least your head and neck are comfortable. I woke up 4x during the night bc the bed was just so damn uncomfortable. -- I never write bad reviews about hotels ever because Ive always had good experiences, but being that this hotel is a Hilton, and your paying the Hilton price, the quality/experience was definitely below average and I wont stay there again. For the same price, there are far better hotels in the Rosemont/O'hare area that Ive stayed at, such as the Marriot Courtyard right next to the very same Hilton I stayed at, or the Springhill Suites less than 5minutes away. -- Overall, I wish I had my $200 back for the one night I stayed the Hilton. Not worth it.
Extremely noisy. The hotel is under renovation, and is both messy and smells terrible.
Courteous, friendly staff Large comfortable rooms Convenient location Nothing
The room was lovely. The people at the desk were helpful and professional. It was easy to find, good location, great parking, fabulous breakfast, lovely indoor pool.
Facilities were clean and modern. Very satisfied with the hotel in general Biggest issue was a VERY noisy heater in the room. It squealed loudly each time it ran, about hourly. By the time we realized it was going to do it all night, it was too late to ask to change rooms. Finally found the switch to cut power to the unit (turning it "off" on the controls just made it cycle on for a minute every half hour). Likely just a room issue and not a hotel issue. We notified front desk of the squeaky fan in the morning. Hotel really could use an Airport shuttle.
The room were larger than expected. I like the clean look of the bedding, all white and washable . Quiet. Overall it was nice. It was well worth the reduced price I paid. It would have been a plus to has at least a small microwave, had pizza that needed reheating. Even a cheaper motel usually has one. The reno of the front lobby wasn't my favorite noise. The carpet area by the bar sink (in the 2 rooms I saw) need cleaned.
Rooms were comfortable. Bed was luxurious. TV is HUGE! Nice to have in-room safe. A LOT of space for the price. Would definitely come back and stay here again. Breakfast was a busy time - it amazed us to see so many people were staying here. We definitely didn't notice that kind of traffic from our room. Wished for blanket for pullout bed, but took comforter off big bed to accommodate.
good price, staff next morning were excellent when we arrived there was no record of our booking and the staff member implied it was our fault. She was civil but not really welcoming. The first room they gave us stank of damp, but the replacement was fine.
Location of the motel being right next to O'Hare is nice. I needed a hotel last minute to cover a couple days in Chicago before heading down south towards St. Louis. I noticed on Kayak that this motel was a pretty good value overall for the location and need of the two nights. I booked the room, proceeded to call the motel and talk to the front desk. I advised them that my girlfriend would be flying in Thursday morning around 2 AM (I booked Wed - Friday morning specifically for that reason). I made sure with the front desk agent that this wouldn't be an issue because of the late check-in, they advised me it would not. I suggested maybe a note on my reservation to ensure it doesn't get removed. I then asked exactly how to get a shuttle from the airport to the motel. They advised me that after 11 PM they no longer do 30 minute interval shuttles, but they do the shuttle based on call from airport only. I detailed all that information to me girlfriend who proceeded to advise me that none of these things worked out properly. Upon arrival at the airport she immediately called the motel number I gave her for the shuttle. After multiple attempted phone calls with no answer, she gave up and grabbed an Uber to the motel. Upon arrival she waited for a front desk agent to help her, finally after about a 30 minute wait someone came out and assisted her. While being assisted she noticed that the front desk agent (a woman) refused to answer the phone to which my girlfriend made the comment "Do you guys answer the phone?" Upon her researching the reservation number I provided for my girlfriend, she advised her the reservation was cancelled due to her not showing up on time for the check-in. They were able to get her a room that worked because of availability, but this was a pain compared to the preparations I purposely made to avoid all this work for us coming in late to the motel.
Quiet and cheap. Staff were very helpful-electricity went out in my room in the morning and they fixed it right away (3min)- must have blown a fuse.
It was clean and cheap, what it says oon the tin bit noisy
There's an free airport transfers
close to ohare I thought the bed was from the Flinstones. It was like a slab of concrete
Staff was polite and friendly. The cleanliness of the room and facility are excellent.
I liked the fact that the hotel was very economical and close to where I needed to conduct business the next day. The hotel room could have been cleaner!
staff from front desk is very friendly. the shuttle had me waited for more than an hour at the airport.
it was nice clean room ...comfortable ..and i do believe that the breakfast was acceptable there aws no staff that can help you in carrying your lugagges ..and i was not so that about the transportation to the down town of chicago
I was in Chicago in transit and wanted an inexpensive place to stay at for the night that was close to the airport and had a free shuttle service. This is a very basic motel with towels, soap, clean beds and wifi. That's all I was looking for and it met my needs perfectly. Ask for a non-smoking room specifically because I think they also have smoking rooms (not sure). There is no microwave, or complimentary breakfast but they do have complimentary coffee. The walls are thin so I would hear people speaking in the adjoining room. Fortunately, they were not loud and didn't bother my sleep.
This is a great value for your money. They offer free 24 hour airport transfer and the rooms are clean. They have a nice television and comfortable beds. Overall it was as expected. Nothing to really change.
The location of the hotel. Rooms are cramped and do not have one comfortable place to sit beside the bed.
clean and had a good breakfast had to wait 40 minutes for a shuttle. calling reception had no impact whatsoever!
Plenty of space and only 2 blocks away from the venue where we were attending a concert. Breakfast buffet was a nice surprise. Room was spacious enough for our needs. Steakhouse next door had good food and service. It was very convenient. Noisy place. Neighbors next door were loud until 2 AM as well as the people downstairs who stayed out on their patio -which made the noise echo. It sounded like we were surrounded by 10 different people. Walls were thin. One of the 2 beds deflated shortly after adjusting the comfort level. Luckily, we had been given a room with 2 beds so we moved to the other one. Unfortunately, the remote for that one did not work which is why we chose the other bed to begin with.
For a small fee we were allowed to leave our car in the parking for 4 days while we were out of town. Instead of having to pay for parking at the airport, which would have been twice as much. There was no Korbel brandy in the bar
Great location for flying in/out of Chicago. Front desk staff gave us a discount for long term parking during our trip, beat the rate at O'Hare. We will likely stay there again in the future. Entertainment in the morning consisted of watching a mouse make his rounds in the dining area.
There wasn't anything horribly wrong, but there's not much to complement either. I guess free parking was the highlight. Price wasn't too bad either. The lobby is under construction. We got placed in a room with two beds, when I asked for a king. In that room my wife tried the sleep number bed with one of the remotes, but both remotes controlled the bed I was sitting on. We requested to be moved to a king room which they did, but they seemed distressed that they might have to touch the previous room up. The hotel doesn't give you a fresh, friendly vibe.
Construction/remodeling work at early hours of day while people still sleeping
The room while somewhat dated was clean. The bed was comfortable! Also the bartender was very friendly and helpful with local directions. I did not realize they were under major Construction when I made my reservation. The front desk clerk also appeared to have some sort of conflict with her counterpart. she was pleasant with me but the tension was very apparent.
The staff and the hotel always make me feel very welcome and the rooms and amenities are perfect and very comfortable and always clean. /the location couldn't be better from shops and restaurants to being only a couple miles from the airport I think it has gotten a bit pricey....for the room.
The rooms were very clean, and smelled clean. Comfortable sleep number bed with nice size TV. Very comfortable stay. The guy at the front desk gave me a lot of attitude when I was checking in. He treated me and my girlfriend very poorly.
How much they knew about the "law". More than the police, apparently Everything
From the first calls made to the front desk arranging room check ins for our large family group to the 4:15 am shuttle driver pick-up wow GREAT SERVICE- most helpful. Friendly shuttle driver!
Hotel close to airport but not too noisy - restaurant on site quite good with grat staff
Old, outdated, way over priced. I was placed in a corner room with attachment room. A gentlemen placed next to me who was very loud and checked the mutual door between us more than a few time that left me uncomfortable and nervous to sleep. I was there for a short night stay of 10 hours total and very displeased by the feel, look, and clenainless of my room for the cost. I stayed downtown Chicago for 30$ more a night at a luxuary hotel, this hotel was not even comparable.
The room is large enough. The A/C is not work well
Warm breakfast The receptionists never show smile; shuttle bus interval too long
Room was quite spacious & comfortable. Room window was of small size.
Very nice young lady at the reception. Very friendly.
good for the price
access to O'Hare airport
The location was convenient for the purposes of my trip. Overall, it had the feel of "cheap" even though the price to stay was night. The clock radio didn't work, even when it was replaced with anotehr one. The business center charged for simple internet access (while the Comfort Inn in Skokie where friends stayed did not; I checked a-mail there!) The breakfast offering was tasteless, and the disposable plates & utensils just plain cheap!
Location Remodeled but very poorly and free breakfast was gross and was discussed with the roaches
Proximity to family and I-294. We'd stay here again. Quiet place
Close to where I was spending Thanksgiving. Quiet considering its distance to O'Hare. The bed was so soft that I had to change rooms. The fake ivy in the room is only a dust colector-get them out especially for those of us who are allergic to dust.
Friendly staff and helpful with good recommendations-honest, accommodations pleasant and clean, good in room coffee.
Staff was very kind and accommodating. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Wish the bathroom was a bit bigger. It had the shower and the toilet, but not much place to move inside the bathroom.
Big room, good breakfast (room service), friendly staff Multiple hairs found in the sheets upon arrival. Refridgerator but no microwave........ Extremely small bathroom setup, the door, toilet, and tub are basically adjacent leaving no room to get in/out
Yes, comfortable, clean and convenient to O'Hare Restuarant was below average
Hospitality was great, outstanding ! No, everything was perfect.
it was a good and convenient hotel. everything was perfect. it is in the suburbs of chicago so anyone who is travelling with a car could choose the hotel as it is also close to the airport. driving to the downtown would take 30 minutes and may be a little more in the rush hours. the staff at the reception was not kind. not all of them but some of them were not polite and were not even able to talk politely . as being a customer, I had expected a much smiling face and a proper talking style.
The comfy bed Over charged my card and when confronted got ignort.
It is nice looking hotel. Room looks nice. When we got breakfast , the waitress was not there to pour the coffee and juice,we were almost done with breakfast when she showed up. Also what is worse I got 3 bites on my leg I am afraid that they have bed bugs there what does not make me happy I hope so I will not contaminate my house with them.
we liked the good service. we had a problem with the a/c in our room and within minutes they had some one up there to fix it.
The hotel was fit for my stay,Well located ,comfortable, and the staff were efficient and friendly. One thing I did miss was complimentary transport to the airport.Otherwise a good experience and I would return again Kind Regards Garry Saul
Helpful staff, checkout at 3pm as our plane departed later was no problem. The children loved the swimming pool. Good way to relax before sitting in an airplane for 10 hours :-) Double beds are exactly that: double. Queens would've been more comfortable sleeping 2.
easy access to the expressways. bigger tub/shower
the location, the pool, the room
Loved the outside atmosphere at the fire pit. The 2 man band was very entertaining and involved the crowd. My girlfriend and I had a great time dancing the night away. Would stay here again.
Style and balconies No room service from main restaurant
How very handy everyone was. Everyone was so eager to be helpful and the maid service was the best. The wake up call wasnt loud enough. I couldnt hear it to wake up
Breakfast room ambiance. Room too small. Double beds inadequate. Rooms are super cluttered and small.
Clean and well decorated.
I absolutely loved everything about the hotel,it was clean, friendly, very nice and relaxing. n/a
Happy hour is nice breakfast toi What I didn't like I book online gave me a total then in the desk got a different price
The breakfast was delicious and offered everything we could have wanted. Pleasant surprise!
The convenience of breakfast. The room didn't get clean, towels were left by the door. The facility was not clean either, the breakfast area had very sticky floors, the table were not very clean, I got syrup on my arm from sitting on a chair. Also it was crazy with noise from other guest, the kids were allow to be screaming on the hall ways in in the stairs I called four time just in one night and nothing was done and it went on to 1 am, waking my toddler twice that night. It was just such an unpleasant stay.
Great place big rooms frigde stove sofa very nice. Bed bit uncomfrtible but very clean.
The bed was really comfortable and the thermostat had a large range for comfort. It was nice that the tv swiveled. The shower curtain had dark dirt spots in a few places. One of the towels also had what looked to be makeup spots all over. Get to my room was always challenge because there would be 4 to 5 house cleaning carts in the hall. The stairways were dingy and disgusting, especially the north west stair way. That was never adequate help at the front desk and always a line. The overall feel of the hotel was gross, outdated, and very poorly maintained. I will definitely not be staying there again!
Location, service, cleanliness, WiFi Speed, Breakfast and evening snack options Very uncomfortable beds, bad placement of beds with respect to the ACs
The suite we had was excellent. It was clean and spacious. Very much worth the money which we got at a very low price. The breakfast was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and will use this hotel again in the future.
I enjoyed the limited time i stayed at the hotel. The staff was really helpful, the continental breakfast was always hot. i always had a clean room w/ clean sheets.i would stay here again the next time i am in chicago
The staybridge suites were excellent for a 3 star hotel. Not only was it very roomy and comfortable but it offered so much. We had a kitchen, living room that separates from the bedroom. The bed was comfortable and perfect size. We really did not want to leave, I could have lived there. And the location was great also, everything was less than 5 minutes away.
Never again. Very disappointing place to stay. Room was very beat up-bugs on floor in kitchen area, red spots on carpet, and couch and chair had tears. Really needs some work.
After spending one night downtown we moved to the Staybridge so we could visit IKEA. My husband (a snorer) and I stayed in one bedroom and my son had the other one. Both bedrooms had their own bath and the living/kitchen area was in between so the rooms were adequately separated and my son wasn't kept awake by his dads snoring. The grounds were great, plenty of free parking and a very nice breakfast. All at a very reasonable cost. Doesn't get much better than that.
This hotel was every thing we were expecting and much more. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and very nice. We will definitely stay again.
I stayed here with my kids and it was a good experience. The manager was nice. The room was clean. I liked having the full kitchen. Good value for the money.
In my quest to find an affordable place to stay while attending classes at the Motorola facility, I found the Staybridge Suites and elected to give them a try. The rooms were comfortable and facilities exceed my expectations. I would highly reccommend and plan to stay again when I again visit the Schaumburg area.
I was very impressed with the staff, clealiness of the entire grounds & the room. The breakfast buffet was great - something for everybody. The room was extremely comfortable & clean. The staff was very attentive to our needs, We were close to everywhere we needed to be. We will definately stay here again next year!! ' FOUR THUMBS UP!!
Very dirty and uncomfortable. Would not recommend.
The floors in our room were very sticky, even the carpet. We didn't even take our shoes off because it was so gross. My parents room had the latch on the frame of their door completely missing. The staff working breakfast didn't even speak English, so you couldn't even ask them anything or explain anything. That was extremely frustrating. To pay that kind of money and have your room be dirty, and not maintained, as well as staff that doesn't speak English? We were extremely disappointed.
Location was good and close to shopping. To start off with, the room had several spiders in it with cob webs everywhere. There was black mold on the wall by the window when we pulled back the curtains. The 2nd day we found an earwig crawling on the bathroom floor. The walls were paper thin, you could hear the entire phone conversation of the guest in the other room including the person on the other line. Not a good stay at all. I brought this to the attention of the front desk attendant and he could of cared less. I would not choose to stay there again and would never recommend this place to anyone based on our stay.
The location was great and staff were responsive when we had an issue with the door jamming and with billing confusion over a prepaid room. It's nice having an all-suite hotel so we don't have to think about which room we want. There were ashtrays in the non-smoking rooms, several cigarette butts in the sink when we arrived, and the whole room stank. We arrived well after bedtime with a cranky toddler and were only staying one night, so we just dealt with it, but it was gross.
The staff was exceptional. They provided needed information with a smile and even provided their own pizza to my hungry children who had been stranded on the highway for a couple of hours due to a car accident. The bed was uncomfortable. We woke with aching backs.
The hotel was very clean, the room design was nice, convenient location, city was very safe. Overall I had a nice experience. There was only one thing that I didn't like, which was that when I booked my room I had free breakfast, but the only way I could have it would be for me to leave my room and go to the lobby.. It would have been nice to have it come to my room.
Room was nice and big. Free breakfast. VERY GOOD VALUE if you are staying near Chicago!
