Built in 2016, the hotel strives to create a luxurious homelike atmosphere within it's 154 rooms and 11 suites. This unique hotel is designed for comfort and luxury and has made deliberate, unique design decisions to reflect dedication to guests relaxation, such as eliminating a typical lobby and check in counter and replacing it with a kitchen counter where guests are welcomed with an espresso or a glass of wine. Equipped to accommodate groups of up to 300 people, the hotel offers luxurious event and banquet spaces. The Halcyon offers three award winning unique dining options, including the Departure Restaurant + Lounge, which features modern Asian cuisine, Elevated, the rooftop bar serving cocktails and small bites, and Quality Italian, a modern Italian-American steakhouse.
The rooftop pool boasts views of the Rocky Mountains and Denver’s skyline, a bar, hot tub, community couches, and private cabanas. Additional amenities include courtesy transportation in the hotel’s Range Rover anywhere in the neighborhood, cruiser bikes, Vespas, Stromer e-bikes, Hamboards, and Kota longboards. Pros (+) The decor is fabulous, food is delicious and the staff are AMAZING. The location is perfect next to everything but the way this lovely hotel is run stands out amongst even the best 5 star hotels. Stay here and you'll be so glad you did!
Pros (+) I thought i checked into an "Alias" themed hotel when i got stuck on the 2nd floor. Apparently the IT guy wasnt paying attention to how elevators use RFID's. Only took 20 min. Just got back from Maui and Chicago. The restaurant Departure is so good here. At check out i slept in, then went and ordered their Best lunch menu items a la carte and got dessert. Pros (+) I thought the place was gorgeous and I loved the idea of the gear garage and the hospitality of the snacks and beverages for the guests. Very nice to provide courtesy rides around town.
Cons (-) To be nitpicky, they should maybe include some instruction cards for things like the coffee maker or the record player. You certainly can figure it out after some time, but might be helpful to have. Comforter was too warm for the summer. Things that were disappointing - door keys kept not working.
