Can't give much of a review. Was there on business for one night. Location was convenient. Exterior was impressive. Room was nice. I was not expecting much, so it met my needs. Would stay again.
Everything, services and everything they did to make us happy The bed a little be, it was like not what I was spected i Think they can have a better mattress
I was very dissatisfied with our stay. I planned a last minute staycation with my daughter. The weather was menacing so I looked for a place in the area with a nice indoor pool. What they don't tell you in any of the descriptions on the Sheraton Paraippany is that the pool is part of the Atlantis Health Club and, evidently, anyone can go for the day (I imagine there's a small fee). We were swimming in the already cramped single lane of the indoor pool. I was already dismayed that, even though there were many little ones swimming with their parents, they still excluded us from the other two roped off lanes--one was reserved for lap swimming, and the other for kiddy swimming lessons (with MANY kiddies, one of them screaming at the top of his lungs for the entirely of his lesson). I noticed pieces of food, cereal and other garbage, laying around the pool, while the life guard sat there, allowing kids to balance themselves on the divider ropes, despite someone trying to swim laps right next to them. What sent me (and my ten year old) over the edge was when an entire group of young children arrived from outside the hotel. A day camp I think. There were now an additional 15 or so kids, plus 3 or 4 adult supervisors. For the first half hour they were there, the outdoor pool was still closed due to bad weather--why they did not open up another of lane to accommodate this group is beyond me. They expected 30+ people to swim comfortably in one lane of a NOT Olympic sized pool?! It was ridiculous so we left and went back to our not very clean room (pubic hair in the bathtub, stains on the carpet and on the bed-skirt) and ordered over priced hamburgers that were hard as hockey pucks and ridiculously over-priced. It was just an all-around very disappointing experience. I will not be returning there.
Breakfast was horrible tv was broke and I set the alarm clock for 8:00 am and bring they cut the power off for a min the alarm didn't go off getaway was awful
Good location. Reasonably clean Hotel needs to be updated. Bathroom was small and cramped. The hotel is in need of repair. The restaurant closes too early.
cleanliness, friendly hotel staff Women's bathroom above my room. You could hear high heels and high power toilet flushing from the 6th floor bathroom every few minutes.
When I order a superior king don't change it to double bed room and tell me that's what I ordered
Room was clean enough, bathroom worked, all the basics were there. I ran the fan all night and thus the room was quiet enough to sleep in. Its main business seems to be weddings and other big parties, so bar and restaurant VERY crowded and not available to guests who want to have a quiet drink. Door to hotel does not have automatic open button -- crucial not only to those with mobility issues, but anyone with a lot of luggage. How is that even legal in 2016? Breakfast included but there's not enough seating, so it gets loud and crowded. They use styrofoam cups for coffee. Again, I must remind the hotel, it's 2016. The decor is **very** outdated. Forest green carpet in the room, vertical strip wallpaper -- from the 80s or 90s. Was fooled by high reviews into thinking this was a nice place to stay when it in fact it is just adequate.
Front desk not accommodating
The rooms are comfortable and clearn and there is a really bar and restaurant connected to the hotel. It's in a subburb and has a completely different feel than the "big box" hotels. Love the nice breakfast spread they put ou the morning which is included in the room price. There's also a very nice pool and courtyard.
The hotel was perfectly located for us, near the train to head to Manhattan and near universities. We were on the back side and our window looked down upon the trash.
Very impressed, felt luxurious not outdated! Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, loved it!
Front desk was very friendly at check in. We attended a wedding here and staff were less friendly after the event (less we had been drinking but not belligerent). Walls are thin. We were woken up at 9am by housekeeping knocking on other peoples doors. There appeared to be water damage in the ceiling and bathroom needed some maintenance.
It is a great location, just a block away from the train station. Went here to get away from distractions and focus on work. Got a nice size room, all the amenities that I need and with room service, I never had to leave my room for anything. Perfect place to get quiet and work done. Not that it bothered me but the decor is a little outdated. But a desk still worked as a desk and furniture didn't break on me. If I was going to the hotel for an actual leisure trip, the tv might need to be upgraded.
I really appreciated the attentive service. Front-desk staff were incredibly nice.
We like the room, continental breakfast & convenience of train to the city. Train is a plus. Sr.'s can buy a SENIOR train ticket at the TRAIN STATION, otherwise buy train ticket at hotel & walk approx. 1/2 block to train. VERY nice older hotel. It is an older hotel but everything is very nice. We like the continental breakfast. Parking. Train to the city is great, can walk 1/2 block & get on the train to the city. We have stayed at this hotel numerous times.
The staff was extremely helpful and courteous in both the hotel and the restaurant. The facilities were clean. The rooms need more noise insulation. Both from outside noises, and interior noises. There should be an exhaust fan in the bathroom.
Doorman was nice. Girls behind desk were not pleasant. Plus, I checked out early. Booking.com told me there would be a cancellation charge but I didn't hear how much. Hotel charged me a cancellation fee of $75; Booking.com's email showed it was supposed to be $35. Same when I checked in--rate higher than Booking.com, but I caught it then.
comfy beds, entire staff bathroom amenities (shampoo, conditioner, lotion)
Price, Location and Staff WiFi didn't work in the room, but not a big deal
The property is modern, sleek, beautiful. Anda well kept facility. Breakfast is not available on the weekend, only through a limited room service menu.
The Strip House restaurant
Very friendly and professional staff.
Clean. Nice looking. No free coffe in lounge. No free breakfast on weekends. Not enough parking. Pool closed at night.
Pleasant and clean No bathroom exhaust
My girlfriend and I spent the night there for a nice getaway from home after we had went to my brother's soccer game at Seton Hall. Everyone and everything was great. The room was perfect, we had requested extra towels before we checked in and the accommodation was made. When we got there, I called the home bar to request a bottle of wine and the bar staff was able to help recommended a good wine for us. Everything was clean and comfortable. Definitely would recommend staying here for any occasion, especially for the price, very good value. We will absolutely keep this hotel in mind for weekend excursions in the future. There was nothing not to like, everything was great.
Very polite and helpful front end staff.I needed directions and they gave me better than my navigation system! I did not enjoy my experience at the breakfast buffet. They sat me a a table very near the entry door and did not cover the table with linen. I thought this was standard until I noticed every table around the room had been covered with linen except mine.
Location & price. Thin walls.
Staff, parking validation Room key was glitchy- didn't always work on first try
The room was HUGE, even with two beds in it. The usable desk/workspace pretty much ran the full length of the window wall, allowing me to spread out some presentations I was working on among the conference materials I had collected. Spacious bathroom...that then goes to the negative category. They do have a white noise machine in the room, which came in handy. I was able to check in an hour early, so that was nice after 14 hours of travel. Validated parking for the underground garage was a plus, too. There was a lot of disappointment. I was on the 11th floor, right near the elevator. While I didn't really hear too many people in the hallway (mostly cleaning staff), the late night ruckus from the street could be heard well into 3 or 4 AM (where the white noise machine comes in handy). Every emergency vehicle going by could be heard loud and clear. To put it mildly, the windows are not sound proof by any means. The bathroom is beyond dated. Old tub, clunky showerhead that sprays everywhere except on you, and shower curtains that leave a gap on one side or the other because they are not wide enough. LOUD flush on the toilet lets everyone on your floor know you just took a poo. My first night I realized that I was missing a mini-fridge, which the front desk though was odd (I think they thought I was lying). They put in a request, but I never saw anyone, so I had to make another request the next afternoon while I was attending a conference. It was there when I came back that evening. The lighting is a miss-match of fluorescent, LED, and halogen bulbs. Some dim properly, others are all or nothing, making it difficult to find a happy medium once the sun goes down. For the price, I might have expected a little more, especially with a Hyatt Regency name on the door in downtown Morristown. I think that a Hyatt House would have been cleaner and more elegant of a stay, which is sad. I would stay here again, but only if my conference is there.
The room was was absolutely the best I've ever stayed in. I would pick this hotel before any of the others.
Literally Everything. Great little room, full kitchen and bath. I have NO complaints. Would recommend to 10/10 people
Clean and cozy Early check in is not a problem Free breakfast and night gatherings with soup and salad I wish they have better ventilation. The room next to us cooks a lot all day everyday. And thr smell was just a bit too overwhelming
Very nice attractive place. Comfortable. Super clean. Really great staff. A bit far from the main interstate for me -- I was passing by on way from Virginia to Boston. Also, wish there were more dinner/meal options in the freezers in the commissary. It was a pretty bare bones selection. And some frozen veggies would have been nice!
Lobby is good. The event we attended is at the same building so staying at this hotel location made sense Got a wrong room. I requested for double queen bed but was given single king. So a family of 4 is sharing a single bed. No effort is made to help the situation. I even tried to ask if there is something she can do. I got a big 'NO'. However, the couple after us the a double queen bed. The door going out into the veranda is broken so we have to turn on the heater.
No breakfast available
The Irish pub in the restaurant was excellent. The staff was very professional, accommodating and friendly. The room was clean other than the issues cited in the other box. The lobby is beautiful and clean. The location is convenient and there was plenty of free parking. I booked for 3 adults and requested 2 doubles, however my email confirmation stated 1 king bed. I called the Marriott and was told there were no rooms left with double beds. I then called hotels.com and was told the room could be changed to 2 doubles, however upon arrival the reservation was still for 1 king. Thankfully the desk clerk noticed the size of our party and immediately changed the reservation 2 doubles without me having to ask her. Don't know why this was an issues when I originally called the Marriott (or why the change made through hotels.com did not change the actual reservation at the hotel). There was some black mold on the ceiling above the tub/shower and the room had a slightly musty smell, like a damp basement. Our room refrigerator was not working upon arrival and the hotel had to send up a maintenance person to get it to work. We discovered there was a big cultural conference (NJ/NY VSNA Indian conference) taking place during our stay. No issues with the cultural conference however with so many people mingling about in the lobby and hallways we felt like we were intruding on a private event and that was uncomfortable. We did not feel like we should walk around the hotel and stayed in our room. It would have been nice if I was told about the conference at the time of booking.
perfect complimentary breakfast
We were provided a room prepared for a handicapped guest but it worked out because it had extra safety precautions and I felt safe that my fiancé would be ok. I only felt guilty that I could not take advantage of the pool because I was trying to finish a project. However, he did! It was noisy on friday night and you could hear the neighbors coughing throughout the night.
Everything was great. Great price and great value. I especially like the shared amenities with the adjoining Hilton.
I stayed there as I was attending a wedding nearby. It was very convenient and the accomodations were top rate location is very good everything is nearby
Scents and cleanliness. I am a new mother and was severely disappointed that after a long day of travel and late arrival, the refrigerator in my room was broken and resolved not by changing my room to one where it was operational so I could store breast milk- instead I was brought a warm one from storage.
Hotel had no record of booking.com booking. Checking took half an hour. In the end they honored the reservation but I need assurance this won't happen again if I use booking.com
I absolutely loved the Heavenly Bed!!!!
Luxury great size room. Easy parking. Quiet area. Very comfortable bed. The bathroom was a bit to the small size.
The staff was great. Helpfull, attentative and very frindly Training of the resturant staff needs improveiments. The bartender reached into the reserve bottle of bar nuts with his bare hands and refilled a guests serving plate. A waiter at breakfast handled bagles to be toasted with his bare hands - in and out of the toaster. Most of the chairs in the bar were soiled and badly in need of cleaning. In the room the cover was falling of the HVAC unit and the window frame fell apart when I opened the window for fresh air
close to my meeting address N/A
After a pleasant stay at the Dolce Basking Ridge, I needed to head back to New York. I asked at the front desk how to get to the train. The gentleman driving the shuttle not only took me there, he took the time to explain that the train had been replaced by a bus, drove me to the train station, and when the machine at the train station didn't take cards, drove me to an ATM to get cash, then back to the train station. Thank you, sir!
it was convenient n/a
Staff curteous but fumbled wrt 10am arrival on day 2 of stay. Room clean. Bed comfortable Room cleaning starts too early - 830am. Breakfast could be included at room rate paid and be fair
Cleanliness of rooms, attentive staff.
The staff are very attentive to their guests. Helpful. Dinner entrées were most enjoyable. The noon buffet lacked refinement in some regards
The gym and pool are among the best in local hotel choices for this area of New Jersey. Covered parking is also a huge plus in the winter or when it is raining.
I returned to the area to attend a High School Reunion which was held at this venue. Everything was very professionally done; a good time was had by all attendees.
Cleanliness of the rooms and the updated decor as well as ameneties in the rooms The staff was somewhat cold.
Food was good Room was awful Sink leaked Fan in Bathroom kept me up Windows did not open
comfort of room. I booked hotel through booking.com which was on Dolce site. I paid more doing it this way then calling hotel directly. I could not get clarification on this from hotel staff as they could not change the price. Never book through booking.com.
The hotel was lovely - however on arrival the Hotel was overbooked and we had to stay at offsite at one of thier annex hotels, The next day we were upgraded due to the inconvienance, however staff were very friendly and the hotel was very nice. The Hotel is far out of NYC therefore it is not close for those wishing to visit NYC.
location, room size and layout, atrium and the grounds One bed was sinking in the middle and the nobs were coming off the chest. Also the coffee maker stopped working and called the front desk twice. They said engineering would come but never came. After 2 hours and multiple times unplugging, replugging and resetting,it finally started but was leaking from the second side.
The breakfast is very good and the lobby is beautiful The pool is dirty. There was hair in my room coffee maker. No linens for the pull out bed. Soap scum throughout the bathroom.
Clean room with breakfast included AC was broken in room, took them 1.5 hours to get us room with working AC. Staff seemed overwhelmed with tasks and wasn't very helpful or responsive to problems. Obviously old hotel with a few cosmetic updates, but still dumpy.
Location was fine Dirty and smelled
I don't have time to list EVERYTHING
The room I asked the front desk to tell the other people to stop smoking weef but they didn't do anything
Clean and Spacious room. Food shops and other stores are where near to hotel
The location was great. The cost was unbelievably low. It was very quiet and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Total time to check in and out was less than 5 minutes. The room was huge. Refrigerator and microwave in the room, also. Conveniently located next to Target, gas station and dunkin donuts for coffee. Gluten Free restaurants, like Luigis and Godfather, were very close. Great place for business travelers like myself. Room was very clean, but the carpets were dirty. There was an a second entrance to the right of the main entry and there were always large groups (10+ people) standing around and smoking and hanging in the parking lot, sitting in running cars... It was a very awkward environment and almost impossible to avoid.
Location Everything. The place was a dump. It smelled bad, the facilities are decaying and poorly maintained, the food was terrible. An all around horrific experience. The place needs to be completely re-furbished and renovated.
-Searched for this hotel on Kayak and it was the cheapest of the ones in the area. I'm surprised that the cost was so low because it really was a great place to stay! -Continental breakfast was great, new food items every day. -The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I called down on the second day of our stay to ask for more towels and washcloths, which they quickly brought up to my room. -There were three entrances with stairs, which was nice if you didn't want to wait for the elevator. Also, if your room was far from the main entrance it was a faster way to get to and from the parking lot. -No password needed for the WIFI (most hotels make you sign in and it's kind of a pain to connect if your password is incorrect or misplaced). -There was a sports bar connected so you could eat there if you so pleased. -They did not have a water fountain on the first floor (or any floor to my knowledge). -The ice machine on the third floor was broken. -No fridge or microwave (I did not ask for either but these would have been nice accommodations).
Everything! Great location, free breakfast with real eggs, very nice room with a kitchenette. All for $106 for a family of four! Nothing
Wonderful studio suite with a kitchenette. Upscale carpeting, wall coverings and furniture. Easy access to all major roadways from a pleasant neighborhood. Queen bed instead of King.
Clean bed sheets Clean bathroom No hot water for showers Just warm water Looks old inside rooms
Confusing charges. Unable to provide receipt for cc charge. Promised to email but no response, yet. Fun sports bar.
Excellent staff. Was charged for a Tylenol, I thought that was kind of cheep.
It was very clean, bathroom was really nice. Room was extremely small.
Location and atmosphere very friendly staff everything seem to be very clean, and comfortable. no
Would have appreciated a breakfast buffet that was included in cost of room. Otherwise, great hotel.
Nice rooms, comfortable bed, staff were pleasant, the shuttle to the train was a nice touch! Hotel wifi was out the first night. Hot water was out the second day I was there. Vanderbilts, the hotel restaurant was ok, food was ok, bar staff were terrific, but there isn't really a system for being seated or getting service.
Hotel is nice on the outside. Good location. Pool and gym are ok but not great Rooms are old and beat up. Beds were not so comfortable. Toilet broke. Ac was leaking water and was so loud. Bad customer service. Promised a crib but never got one. Promised a mini fridge but didn't get one until next day which caused my food to go bad. Will not return to this hotel.
When we arrived at the front desk at 11pm our reservation was not on file. The staff had to scramble to give is a single room. To the staff credit they discounted our stay and comped breakfast. See above.
Very clean. Quiet. Friendly staff. It would have been nice to have a refrigerator in the room.
This hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the included breakfast was far better than we expected. Our stay was comfortable, and we wish all our hotel stays could be this good. There was nothing negative about our stay.
Really bad hotel. Room didnt even come with a coffee machine u had to go downstairs the desk to get it? are you kidding me the breakfast is absolutely nothing i eneded up going out to get my own food. The room was not clean it was well kept.
Everything was nice. no complaints.
Courteous staff. Clean room. Convenient.
Work-out room and pool carpet needed to be vacuumed
I got me a nice piece of strange here some real good 😸! Thanks !

Front desk were exceptional and very friendly Room service was very unprofessional and lazy
Location They allowed people to be as loud as they wanted when we were downstairs having breakfast at the hotel restaurant
Lovely hotel. Welcoming, friendly and accommodating staff..
Room was cozy Elevators seemed dated
Clean, updated rooms. Welcoming friendly staff even though the hotel was full. Great service in the restaurant, too. Location a little challenging. If you miss the entrance, you're stuck looping around on the freeway.
It was clean and quiet far from my location

very nice hotel with fantastic amenities. Lounge and restaurant are fantastic.

Location is perfect--close to our family, convenient to major roads and shopping.
The swimming pool was rather cold. The breakfast not great. The receptionist told me the phone calls were free as long as I stay in 973 area code, but I was charged $20.
room was very large with big screen tv. Price of room very good value for money. Hotel was very close to shops. Swimming pool present. There was some misunderstanding about my reservation through booking.com. For instance about inclusion of breakfast in the price
We got in around midnight and there were one or two wedding parties in the hotel lobby / bar area. While we had more than a few drunk people ahead of us (who remarkably waited until AFTER the reception to check in) the guy at the front desk did a good job moving them along even after the mother of the bridge couldn't find her license or remember her name because she was so drunk. We were checked in within a minute once it was our turn and from there it was smooth sailing. During the check in process the managers looked to be just standing around. I'm not sure if they were keeping an eye on things to make sure people didn't get too rowdy but they could have helped move the check in line along. Also a few times we used them the elevators were wonky. The lights wouldn't stay on and the elevator took forever to show up and only then would it show up when people were exiting. Again, not sure if that was the result of rowdy hotel guests screwing around on the elevators or not but something management should have been aware of and working on instead of just standing around.
