Staff was great and very accommodating. Restaurant menu choices were likited
The hotel itself is great, centrally located etc but what makes this place special is its people. Everyone I interacted with went above and beyond to make my stay a pleasant one. They genuinely wanted to make sure I was happy! I don't have anything bad to say about this place
We were upgraded and we arrived very early into Dubrovnik and the staff allowed us into the room early which was wonderful as it was a very wet and cold day. This has made a great impression on us.
Fantastic hotel and service, great place to visit. Could have more evening entertainment, but not really a problem.
Location Breakfast standard, but not excellent for a Hilton
Old 19th century style hotel with modern conveniences just outside walls of Old City
It was a very convenient position for exploring the city but could do with better lounge facilities - quite expensive and certainly not 5 star quality
The staff was friendly and the location was good (short walk to old town). Our stay was not enjoyable. The hotel caters to over 65's, our room was on the ground floor and had a view of a hedge, the shower was not good, and the price was insane.
the staff the rug
food, staff and all was excellent wish wifi was free
Staff attitude and when checked online and arrived no rooms was available eventhough I Have been charge on may credit card
Its location at the entrance to the old city and close to beaches. We were promised rooms with a view of the sea or the garden, but were given rooms at the back of the hotel with a view of an interior cement courtyard.
Everything was really amazing and beautiful
The hotel was centrally located in the walled city with access to easy parking. Spacious room with included breakfast. The Staff were amazing, friendly and filled with information and recommendations. Super friendly and in a beautiful city. We liked every thing!
Access to nearby tourist attractions were excellent. Hotel staff (receptionists, restaurant staff, cleaning staff, et al) were very friendly. Good quality breakfast was provided at a restaurant facing a square....good ambiance. Suggestions by hotel receptionists on 1) opening times of tourist attractions and 2) restaurant recoccomendation, 3) airport transportation were not accurate. They were all very enthusiastic and friendly, though.
The breakfasts were very good. The value for money was poor in that for a five star hotel there were no facilities, eg lounge, gym, pool, etc. We enjoyed our stay very much but did not think that the price or the five star status were merited.
location..location...location The fact that it was my birthday and I was given a cake and a gift. A la carte breakfast included..Beautiful little Hotel not one complaint
Fantastic location in the Old City. Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful stff. Hard to find and only accessible on foot. Older folk with baggage would find thid hard to do. We arrived about 11 p.m. and had to walk through the Old City with our bags. Someone finally directed us and we did get there.
Very welcoming I arrived late at night and would have had difficulty finding the hotel if I had not been met by the hotel's porter. It is worth noting that there is no car park within 200 metres of the hotel, so it is preferable to be fit and agile, as Dubrovnik Old Town is full of steps and cobble stones.
Beautiful old building, excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. No.
It is elegant but also very friendly and comfortable. The situation in the old town is full of character and the staff could not have been more helpful. I was on a winter break with my husband and I would recommend it highly. We did have to walk (5 mins) from the old town gate as cars cannot drive up to the hotel, but this added to the charm. No
The location. The discretion of the staff. The breakfast. The decor The smell from the sewage
The whole experience.
The hotel is just inside the town, it's a very old building in one of the narrow streets of the town. We had a room with balcony, it was clean and very comfortable. It was just like home in the old city! Thanks for everything.
The position of the apartment we stayed in was excellent inside the old town of Dubrovnik and right near Pile Gate (for local bus to the bus station). On our arrival, the manager collected us from the central bus station, which was very kind. The floor of apartment needed a good clean, a fryinpg pan for the kitchen would be useful, and the is no internetaccess inside the apartment or outside the windows - the only potential access is the city's free WiFi network, that you might be able to pick up in a small outdoor area down the other end of town (We had a usb modem & bought a data sim card from Vip/Vodafone, which worked a little in the apartment). Still, we had a great stay here.
The best things about these apartments were their central location in the middle of the old town, the helpfulness and friendliness of the owners and the value for money they offered I found the breakfast somewhat repetitive with very little choice available however there was enough to eat and the hostess was lovely.
Clean & comfortable. Very welcoming and helpfull staff. None.
The location, value for money and the room was great. Plus the awesome wine bar, D'Vino, a few doors away!!!
No internet eventhough it is written that there is a wireless connection!
Perfect location in the middle of the old walled city. First rate modern accommodations you would expect in the best hotels. The proprietor, Pablo, was very attentive and assisted in arranging tours, airport transport, and recommending the best dining. Our room had a wonderful little balcony overlooking the quiet pedestrian street. Cafe literally right across the street, then becomes a night club. Nothing really. The location is right in the middle of town, so expect crowds and some late night noise.
it's just a fact of life that you don't get much for your money in Dubrovnik very very hard to get to with suitcases - you can't really walk there from the bus stop
The breakfasts were excellent. Vlado was a great assist when asked. He delivered our luggage to our room, situated at the top of 80 steps and arranged to do our laundry in house. The room was spartan and was furnishings sparce. One did have to climb about 80 steps to reach the room from the street level. This is not a place for those having difficulty walking or climbing stairs.
The owner was very kind. He gave us good advice before visiting Dubrovnik. He arranged a guide in order for us to get off at the correct bus stop. In addition, he waited for us at the bus stop and he kindly guided us to the hotel. Thanks for everything !!
close to city center, nice breakfast you have to go up some stairs a small walking path to get from the street to the rooms
The owner of the hotel was very pleasant and willing to help out will all we needed. He even picked us up at the bus station and make us familiar with landmarks of Dubrovnik. The room was clean and the location was 10 minutes' walk from the Old Town. It would have been useful if we could have used kithchen or at least have some place to make a coffee.
It is a simple bed & breakfast near the city centre, a nice walk downhill, very basic but clean, good value for money. Very friendly staff / people. The rooms were in a different house from the breakfast, which is ok in good weather, but can be a pain in bad weather. 69 steps from street property of room (plus another 2 floors to cllimb then) and 19 stpes from street to breakfast. a week there and you'd be fit.
Very close to Old Town (Stari Grad), nice rooms, excellent breakfast. Family run business. Proprierter, Vlado, was eager to share information about attractions, very knowledgeable.
Administrator's kindness and dedication. Location near the Old Town Staircases, 173 stairs to the Old Town, and 70 additional stairs for the first room we occupied (they changed our room the second day). If you need WiFi better ask first if it's available.
Vlado and his wife and kind and helpful proprietors. This is not a hotel but a guest house. It has beautiful views and I didn't mind the walk up from the old town (a fairly gentle climb but about 250 steps although you can walk down via the road). Overall I enjoyed my stay very much. There was little I didn't like about this guest house although the furnishings are simple (alot of IKEA).
The attitude of the staff to us was very good (every possible help, etc.) There are no glasses, no cups, nothing to say - no (electric) tee kettle in the room!
Maja was very easy to get in touch with for questions and checking in. There were simple breakfast items, lots of printed information, fast Wi-Fi, and it was super clean and fresh feeling! There was also a small fridge so that we could store food. The location was AMAZING!! Right in the middle of the old town and up a very cute-plant lined staircase. As a heads up to new visitors to Dubrovnik-there are LOTS of stairs and terreced inclines. If you have mobility issues or loads of luggage this might not be the place for you. If you don't mind, defs give Two Friends a look, we loved it!
We had a nice stay, and the room was comfortable. Travelers should know they have to climb a lot of stairs to get to the house, so if you travel with a lot of luggage, this might not be your best choice. We use backpacks, so it wasn't too bad. The location is great if you want to be on the old city. The host is absolutely delightful. The mini fridge didn't seem to work. Also, the room in small, so if you like to spread out, you will find this a tight fit.
