I had some surprises come up with my travel plans and the management of the hotel was extremely accommodating. They put the customer first.
loud closing room doors
It was very clean and comfortable. I didn't have any issues or concerns.
Comfortable Beds Upgraded amenities Chocolate Chip Cookies, Hot Chocolate and Hot Apple Cider available in lobby 24/7. Surprisingly good breakfast Better than I expected from a Best Western Decor and furniture were average. Breakfast was basic and generic. Staff were not highly trained.
Common areas and lobby wasn't very impressive and a little worn out but the rooms were nice. Bathroom was tiny.
The location is good if you're doing things in Eagle. The room configuration was awkward -- one of the beds only had access on one side, the TV is small and in a strange location, but it is an efficient use of space. The breakfast was mediocre. It was crowded on the Saturday morning we were there, and they tried hard to keep up with demand, but there never seemed to be eggs or sausage available. Other friends stayed at the hotel next door, which was nicer and cheaper, so this wasn't a great value.
Everything great room loved the room with kitchenete Couldn't find anything wrong
I got a refund. It was national house keepers day and I guess they all took it off. There was dirty laundry and trash stacked six ft high in the hallways. This was at ten o'clock at night, and they still hadn't got to it. Then the next morning during breakfast a bunch of the staff were in the breakfast area loudly talking around a table. I don't know a lot of Spanish, but I do know what pinche gringo means. (F#$king white person) I spoke with management about it and she said they were probably referring to her. To sum it up the whole staff seemed to be partying and not doing a thing about there jobs, both days.
It wasn't clean. Dirt had adhered to the bathtub where you could see a dark film. Bleach takes care of that or magic eraser pads... cleanliness is obviously something management doesn't strive for.The towels were no longer white. They had turned yellow. There was dirt on the bed! Dust in the headboard, around hairdryer etc.
Location was excellent. Being a few miles from Beaver Creek ski resort was great as was being co-located to restaurants, a movie theatre, a mid-sized grocery, a liquore store, and shops. The 3rd floor hallways and our room wreaked of room deodorizer and/or freshner. It was so bad our eyes were watering. We had trouble sleeping that night from the overwhelming smell. It made it smell like a really cheap hotel.
Rates continue to climb yet conditions of the facility continue downwards. Dirty rooms (stained sheets and worn carpet). Gone is the free breakfast and friendly vibe. We used to enjoy this place as the location is superb but enough is enough with greedy owners milking the occupants and not plowing a cent to make it more comfortable.
We stayed there many times while on ski vacations. It is less expensive than Vail, but near enough and were able to either drive or take the Eagle County Trans bus to Vail or Beaver Creek. The hotel also will shuttle you to Beaver Creek.
Location was great. Staff was friendly. Nice pool area. Overpriced for what amenities were included. Wi-Fi did not work. Rooms were extremely outdated even though website mislead us and said all rooms were recently renovated. Felt like I was staying in Grandma's house due to decor and dusty smell.
I was there for surgery at the steadman clinic in Vail and we chose to stay out of town from vail and the staff was amazing leaving me notes wishing me welll asking how I was doing while i was in the hospital very sweet and helped us with anything my husband and mother in law needed to help me out! I can't say enough good things with the staff I interacted with.
Lodging in Eagle is expensive. Eagle River Lodge had the best price so my expectations wère not too high. However, they had clean comfortable rooms with a pool and decent breakfast, which was everything my kids hoped for.
