Literally 1 minute walk to shops. First we got there and the staff tried to put us in a room where you could see t hr ought a hole in the door. The inside of the door had been repaired (horribly I might add). They ended up moving us. The pool hadn't been working in ages, nor the hot tub. Free breakfast was cereal that sits there all day. Who knows how old it is. The wifi is so slow it really is useless. No ac! We came back in the middle of the day and our door to our room was wide open. With no one around with our stuff up for grabs for whoever dared. They told us this is common practice. We stood there for 5 minutes, still no maid in sight! Our door was the only one open! We prepaid our whole 6 night stay through kayak. When my husband went to return the key to the office she tried charging him $50 for not flushing the toilet one day (there plumbing was horrible. Had to flush 2 or 3 times each time!) The maid who seen the toilet apparently got sick and had to go home! So we had to pay her! Lol This place is such a joke!
Great location for the price. Very friendly staff and adorable, spacious room!
The management was very accommodating to us. The room was clean and a good deal for the price. There was no air conditioning in the room but there was an adequate fan.
The motel is right across the street from the ski resort which is very convenient! Dirty motel. Buy a fitted mattress sheet for the bed instead of using a plane sheet. Found dirty socks under the bed. Fix your your cable TV so it doesn't cut out every 15 sec. Overall, cheap place to stay but I probably wouldn't stay here again.
Nothing at all Very dirty rooms, had ants and spiders in the bathroom. Carpets were dirty ony thing done by maid services is making beds. Not AC only a fan. And no one was ever in the office.
Dirty and disgusting. The room is dark. Show drain clogged. Won't recommended.
Great location, and great price!
Quite, all day parking, easy check out, great walking distance to the gondola, very dark room, plenty of space. Overall i just need a place to sleep while i wasnt snowboarding and this did the job. Pillows and bedway too hard, shower was very tiny, as well as the curtain for it, remote only did volume and channel control, shower head was ancient found a hair in my bed but not that big of deal really,
Cheap and affordable. Literally right across from Heavenly Gondola, 5 minute walk to restaurants and casinos, 10 minute walk to beach. Manager was super helpful when I asked about Heavenly and other water activities. He gave me a bunch of brochures.. A lot of them had coupons inside. :) overall, it did its purpose. Provided my boyfriend and I with a bed to sleep on and a decent bathroom. We were outdoors most of the day and Tahoe was just a quick stopover during our road trip, didn't want to spend too much, so $60/2 nights was a great deal in my opinion. Not that I would use it anyway, but our room was right in front of the pool. It had chairs in it and was dirty, an eye sore. Nevertheless, it wasn't a big deal at all. Rooms and bathroom could be cleaner, but again, I'm not complaining.. For the location and price I got, I actually expected it to be worse than it really was.
We really enjoyed how spacious the one bedroom suite was. It felt like home away from home.
wonderful staff, beautiful hotel, great location, nice decor and amenities, awesome value! we had a very pleasant stay, thank you!
This hotel will be my only choice for my Tahoe trips! It was soooo clean, everything was tip top, even the utensil drawer was organized! The fireplace was such a nice touch, and there were even two flat screens to watch the world series on! The price was equivalent to motel 8 but this hotel was by far a five star on my list! Loved the kitchenette and dining area! All I can say is amazing, fantastic, wonderful!!!!
The unit was spacious, clean & well laid out. We had a nice nature view. Nice choices of activities to relax: movies for your room, pool table, munchies, etc. Decor was also nice in lobby areas. There is an elevator with covered access from covered parking drop off. Rules, rules, rules. When we walked into the lobby/entry, loud pop music was playing. Obviously for staff & never lowered when we entered.@ aprox. 8pm on Sat. night. Young man at desk was almost rude in his manner of greeting. He proceeded to tell us he had to read us what was on a laminated page (again, sounding like he'd rather be doing something else!). Then we were told we HAD to fill out a review of the facilities when we checked out. What he didn't tell us were the additional rules in the room: Don't use the dishwasher unless full; wash dishes & leave clean on the counter, and to strip linens & put in laundry hamper or you would be charged $35! FYI, we were staying less than 24 hrs! At check out, we addressed with nice lady at counter who told us those were out dated rules that were going to be updated. She also told us that as we were booking.com guests, the rules were for owners-not us....but that they needed to update those too. She said to disregard as they were for owners only & were old. We told her we have been in many timeshares (and mine is associated with this one) + I am a travel agent & never seen rules like those. She said she would bring it up at their staff meeting. I doubt my evaluation card will ever made it to the timeshare exchange for whom it was intended.
Would like to see king beds?
The surroundings were very nice. The hotel was clean, it was very quiet. Yes, the staff upon checking in were rude, also the spa was awkward and not set up for privacy or comfort the sauna was grose. This was some sort of time share and they seemed to set aside rooms for nightly rentels. The coffee pot was broke no cable the screen door fell off the first time we opened it.
The Lodge at Kingsbury Crossing is a little gem, great location, lovely staff, good facilities and lastly beautiful apartment style rooms with top range furniture, lovely bedding and well stocked kitchens. Certainly a place to recommend to anyone NO !!!
Beautiful, relaxing stay. Place was beyond expectations - peaceful, nicely designed, great amenities, and enjoyed view into the woods - away from it all! Staff very courteous and friendly. We enjoyed the outdoor bbq, the woods, the comfy bedroom, the total ambiance and appreciated the covered parking. Really, not a thing we didn't like and had no idea of how wonderful place was. The summer weather a bit warm but we managed by keeping windows dark and closed during day; then opening up everything at night and using fan if needed. The place would be excellent all seasons and especially winter while skiing. The morning show with the blue jays and the evening coyotes plus other wildlife made it even more special.
This was our third stay. We wen for a birthday celebration and introduced the lodge to three other couples. Like us, they will book again I wish the spa was available (not your fault) and when it is complete it will be wonderful
interior. Fact that it has kitchen and living room. It feels like home. Exterior
For the price we paid, the hotel was excellent. It had everything we wanted. The room was great (I think we got the best room in the hotel). We had a balcony on top floor overlooking the forest where we enjoyed watching the wildlife. The hotel was within walking distance of the lake, shops, restaurants, etc Liked everything
The hotel was really good. The staff was very friendly. The pool was out of order.
Location is nice. Close to Heavenly and Safeway It says breakfast included but it was ONLY cheap donuts from Safeway! I chose this motel instead of others just because they had breakfast. Not even continental! This place must be forbidden to advertise as breakfast included.
The room was clean; the office staff was nice and courteous; air conditioning worked very good. i read previous review after i booked and was horrified. However, either the hotel changed drastically or some people don't know what a bad motel is like. The other reviews were unfair i feel. could use better lighting in the room; in room coffee would also be nice since the office did not prepare the complimentary coffee as early as i awake
Stuff was very friendly. far from gondola
Owner was very nice and accommodating. Fridge and micro. Larger rooms. Property is dated and needs some renovation.
Park your VEHICLE..you will not need it ..while you are staying here !!! Staying a Budget Inn on South Lake Tahoe was great! I could walk out my door and walk straight to the water within 2 minutes my feet where wet! The pool is clean and heated..for cool nights! The air works greart and the bed was comfortable for a good night sleep. I rented a bike just a minute away and rode all over, Great location in the middle of town. Fantastic coffee and sandwich shop, cvs, Rent water or ski gear, all is across the street. Italian, sushi, burgers, waffles, every type of food is wking distance. I caught the nifty 50 Trolly and went to the casinos a few times, took about 5ish minutes!
Front desk staff was nice, good location, quiet, ac worked well First room smelled strongly of urine. Asked for a different room, was given one without question. That room was better, but still an odor. Everything is run down and dirty. Cobwebs in bathroom.
Location was excellent, very quiet in the evening with clean rooms good option for the money. You can hear street traffic in the morning not good for a light sleeper no worries if your a heavy sleeper.
Location - Great! Room quality - Good! Price - Fair! Bed comfort - No too good! :(
Easy to find, helpful hotel staff, clean spacious rooms, good bang for your buck! The pool was empty :(
Staff was super helpful and responsive at night
Close to beaches and ski resort. Hotel staff was nice and friendly. Price: Too high for the quality of the room. Maybe because of the location (Other hotels were even more expensive)
The location of the hotel is pretty good, internet WIFI connection is excellent. But that's it. The room was too small, the furniture is very old. The toilet didn't function properly. The towels were dirty. Breakfast even though it's included in the price and shown on their ads, in reality there is nothing you would eat or drink. When I asked about the breakfast in the morning around 8am they told me to come back in 10 minutes and turned the dirty coffee machine on. I wouldn't drink that coffee and there was nothing to eat.
The convenience. Park your car and never have to leave. Free shuttle service to ski lifts which is conveniently located at even walking distance. Free shuttle service dropping off and picking up in town. After a day of boarding/skiing, heated pool, jacuzzi to soak up in. Restaurant and spa. Fully furnished condos with stocked kitchen, everything you can possibly need to cook homemade meals. Cozy fireplace. I look forward to returning There's nothing negative I can think of. Very satisfied with stay
Various on site activities and you don't have to leave if you don't want to. The Ridge has it all from swimming to basketball and on site skiing. Plus, a free shuttle unto Tahoe if you want to get away easily. They don't give you any shampoo or conditioner, so if you forget it the nearest fix is their overpriced store! Also, hate the 4:00 check in which doesn't make sense with the 10 am check out time!
The Tahoe Ridge is our favorite spot in South Lake. It's quiet, very clean and we look forward to our annual trip each year. There isn't anything negative to say about The Tahoe Ridge.
Great price! Great bed, good space in room. Free shuttle down to casinos and back was an awesome perk! Very happy! Only thing I didn't like was 10 AM checkout. Other than that great place to stay for business or leisure.
Beautiful property, nice staff, great views. They didn't honor my preferences for extra pillows. Didn't refill shampoo. Front desk closes at night. We left our room key in the room and had to track down Security who was very nice, to let us in.
The restaurant staff were very pleasant and courteous. There is no AC. This point cannot be stressed enough. Our room also had a hole in the wall and was missing basics like shampoo and coffee for the coffee maker. This "resort" is sort of tired - it is in need of updating all around. Everything looks about 10 years past due for maintenance or replacement.
I don't like this place too much.just stay one night.
The views, locations, the rooms and some staff members. Check in too late and check out too early.
Room was great and comfortable. The day of check out. Room service started knocking on our door at 9 am, knocked again at 930, then at 955 they decided to just walk in without knocking. Very disrespectful
The room was ready on time, very clean, and everything in the room was in great condition. The staff was friendly and courteous and we had a wonderful stay. We didn't use the hot tub or any of the communal facilities because we were too tired from spending all day at Lake Tahoe. When we go back to Tahoe, we would happily stay here again. The thermostat in our room didn't work, but we didn't complain to maintenance as we were just there for a couple of nights and could open the window. The view was pretty terrible because it overlooked the basketball court.
After checking in at the main building, the room was not ready. The house keeper was still cleaning the room. My family had to wait over an hour to get settled in. It was a horrible experience.
Nice view No air conditioning. Cooled down at night with fan and window cracked. Wind comes from resort side and we were on valley side which gets no breeze. They would not move us to other side.
The location and proximity to Harvey's (we went to a concert) is the only decent thing about this place. The room smelled like chemicals/disinfectant, although the room did have a mini fridge it was put it such a weird place that you had to climb on and around one side if the bed to get to it. The shower was so desperately in need of remodeling the tile literally was stained with mold. The beds were in need if new pillows and an updated blanket/bedspread. I was honestly afraid to climb in. All this for $188/night. Wow!!!
The location is great because it's one of the closest motels to the Heavenly downtown. Cheap. Dirty, broken window and furniture, no towels etc, unorganized staff, ANTS!!!!
Walking distance to restaurants, shops and lake No A/C! Was the worst. Our room was extremely dated and had a horrible smell. The on duty attendant was not friendly or welcoming; made us feel like we couldn't approach if needed. Lighting was poor, with exception to the bathroom where there was no counter space. Pool was sketch. Way too much money for what you get. We left a night early because it was so uncomfortable. Definitely won't be back.
Good breakfast. Dirty sheets had to be replaced. Bathroom floor was sticky.
The parking was a little difficult especially when you have 2 cars, but other than that it was good
Breakfast included great No microwave,
Beds are comfortable, breakfast is good, and only a 5 min walk from a large selection of food and entertainment. Definitely recommend staying here
Comfortable bed. Clean room. Good breakfast. Helpful personnel. Nothing
Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, bed was comfy, parking and wifi free, free breakfast, decent coffee. Good in-room amenities- hair dryer, fridge, microwave TV was antiquated, heater was loud, pillows were lumpy.
Great value, two queens, 4 adults for $89 on a Saturday during the ski season. Walking distance to casinos and gondola. Hot breakfast in the morning with eggs, sausage, potatoes, bagels, waffles. Beds were stiff and not comfortable.
Comfortable and great location! Great value.
The place was good for the price I paid. I always look for a place that serves breakfast. The one thing I hope for is the make your own Belgium waffles and this place definitely has it! Facilities were old and needs a lot of updates. It was a step up from motels really. Bathroom is small and old. Tub didn't drain very well and the towels don't dry very well. There's not a fridge but they have a community kitchen. Definitely did not like the pillows. They feel years old because they were clumpy.
We were move after complaining at least but for 25$ upgrade Basically got the guy to admit putting us in that room. The young couples are the ones you really should be trying to impress...
Clean, convenient, includes wireless internet, hbo , and goodie bags (toothpaste, tampons, Motrin), continental breakfast. Small rooms, temperature of shower is hard to control, poor towel quality.
It was convenient for the lake
The front lobby personel were very helpful in answering quetions regarding the various site seeing/activities that were offered in the area. The towels for the guests were very small in size. You needed two per person just to dry off from a shower.
friendly staff, good location to all amenaties no
The breakfast selection was really nice with a good variety.
Convenience and the pleasant and helpful staff
It was roomy, the bed was comfy and plenty of parking!
cost Plastic platesl/cutlery for breakfast!
rooms were comfortable. price too high compared to other simillar hotels.1 mile away fr heavenly village
Convenience ;close to town. Staff helped find good restaurant Room was horribly over priced and very run down.
Great location, great stay Just could of used a microwave
Free breakfast Backed up tub drain
The 24/7 warm pool and hot tub area is amazing especially when swimming late night. :) Servicing was excellent from facility cleaniness to customer care. I thought I paid a lot for the one night value but it worth every penny! Bed sizes were full and not queen. We were a family of 4 tall people and it was not very comfortable for 2 people in one full size bed. Queen size would be good if possible!
Location Dirty rooms, roches , and dirty pillows
great location, breakfast included, comfortable bed unfriendly staff, esp. reception, and throughout our stay, we encountered a few problems
Location, breakfast Small room
Well-located close to the hustle and bustle of the casinos and the Heavenly gondola but far enough away to quiet. Nice rooms but not de luxe. Two-night minimum stay for weekends.
Free full breakfast included in hotel stay was a great perk. Clean, safe, small, inexpensive when you just need a simple place to stay for a night or two.
Price location privacy You get what you pay for nothing to dislike. Would stay again.
The room size was good as was the location, within walking distance to Harrahs. Not a big deal, but the hot water took a few minutes to warm up from freezing cold.
The location was great It has a musty smell, the bottom sheet was not a fitted sheet so if I turned over I would take the sheet with me and be laying on the bare mattress :(. The bathrooms were not super clean.
Great value, very helpful staff, highly recommended.
The location was very close to the casinos We ordered a room with a Jacuzzi tub and the tub was broke but they gave us our money back so that was OK
The management was very accommodating to the few requests we made. Very comfortable 10 days with everything we needed for an inexpensive and pleasant stay. Only steps away from casinos, restaurants, shopping, theater and gondola to top of mountain. Excellent value! Nothing
This was a great stay. The room was close to the parking lot, bed was comfortable, wifi was reliable, and my partner and I got a good night's rest. Of course you can't expect 5 star experience (whatever that is), but for a ton of privacy, clean and comfortable room and bed, and the distance from there to the beach/shopping center, for the price ($70~/night) it was awesome! The continental breakfast was limited (cereal, orange juice, alright cinnamon buns, oatmeal, coffee, tea, apples and bananas). It was probably first-come, first-serve, yet no one told us of this policy or when it started (7am-9am). I recommend staff to tell us when it is available and what is included. I wouldn't pay extra for the breakfast.
Blissfully quiet! Simple breakfast every morning, in room coffee pot, microwave and mini-fridge with freezer was perfect for our stay. Kept our snacks and sodas cool and allowed us to brew our own coffee and tea. Microwave was a bonus to reheat leftovers from the local restaurants. Steps away from Harvey's and Harrah's and Heavenly Village. Cute and delish taco stop next door. Walk to the beach equipped with beach front dinning. Comfy bed! Slept better here than at home - okay, that may have been because we got away from the kids. Excellent wifi, and plenty of TV and HBO. We are telling everyone about this hidden jewel; for the money, its as good as it gets. The motels with numbers in their names charge twice as much for 1/2 the comfort and even less amenities. We are already looking ahead to book again. Still can't get over how wonderfully quiet this corner of the universe was at all hours of the day and night. We would have loved an outdoor hot tub, but not a big deal. They have rooms with spa tubs, and next time we'll book one of those rooms!
It was economical and ideal since we just wanted a place to sleep while visiting. Check-in and check-out were very smooth. Beds were fine. Included a pass to the nearby beach. Only a few things were not good: The window blinds didn't darken the room very much, and the provided breakfast in the morning was very basic: two cereals, some donuts, and coffee, milk, & OJ.
The remodeling is beautiful! It was a great location and the rooms are a great price and great value. We loved our King Suite and the Jacuzzi tub! Such a great place!
excellent room no bath towels in room, went to front desk and none there either.
Best room and hotel I can remember Their free bicycles were a little worn but they still worked and were Free!
I liked the overall design of the room. Did NOT like the lack of shower curtains.
The hot tub in the room! All the mirrors in the room and not enough entrance or exit from the 2nd level! Also fire pit was in an awkward place!
It was a cool room at a decent price The coffee make didn't work very well
There was a wad of hair in the shower and the front desk was unprofessional.
Spa The name is not THE FANTASY INN, couldn't find it!!!
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
The room was a great value for a Newley remodeled room. Would cost 50% more any where else on the lake. Most of the small roadside hotels are dumps, not this one. No elevator. No big deal their are only two floors.
The bed was very comfortable, and the hot tub/shower combo was huge and relaxing. Freshly renovated wooden accents in the room, brand new sink area. Friendly staff, great price. No hooks or racks to hang our towels, the table in the room had only 1 chair, and the carpet didn't look like it got a cleaning in the renovations.
Fantastic Staff. Allowed us to check in early. Location is perfect to many places to eat and drink. Highly RecommendðŸ‘
The reception was very abrupt. The inclusive continental breakfast was poor with some cutlery not available!
Interent signal was very poor.
The motel was within walking distance to the casinos. A free continental breakfast was provided. There wasn't enough parking spaces available. The bed mattress appeared old and sagging. The air conditioner was too loud when turned on.
Quiet location small parking lot
easy to find; good location to wedding on golf course we went to; room was adequate size with good parking. staff very responsive to our needs for an iron and to contact others who were staying at same hotel. location was quiet with minimal traffic, yet we were able to access restaurents, golf, and casinos within a short distance. no newspapers; no remote for the television; no iron in room
It is strategically located and close to shopping, ski, parks, golf courses, factory outlets, casino, gas stations, snowmobilling, restaurants, gift shops and Lake Tahoe. Laundry is free. We had an upgrade with a dedicated spa to our unit. The flush was not working and I had to fix it myself because it was late at night to ask for assistance. The TV in the living area was also not working but didn't bother to call coz we were out most of the time. Should fix them before any guests check in.
Proximity to casinos and Heavenly Valley 11 a.m. checkout
Friendly personell, good location, free breakfast no tea/coffee facilities
We only stayed one night. The carpet was dirty, the first tv didn't work. The bed had sagging spots in the mattress and you couldn't open the bathroom door all the way to get into the bathroom. No coffee machine or any other amenity in the room. Only downstairs. Continental breakfast only offered bagels and toast. No fruit, oatmeal, cereal, no juice.
Free breakfast, going green service where if you requested no housekeeping you got a free gift. Friendly staff. Got discount card for local resturants. Pictures on website looked nothing like the rooms but still ok. Bed wasn't comfortable at all. Bathtub was broken so couldn't take a bath.
Great Location, nice lobby area, game room for kids The rooms were very dark, bad lighting, very outdated kitchen and bathroom.
Breakfast included is real nice Kid activities Staff at front desk were rude Over crowded Checking not till 4 pm is a real hard thing with kids
Best location for your money if your snowboarding Could use more blankets!
Close location to the shopping areas, including grocery-store. Quiet stairways so we were not disturbed by people walking by Room we were first assigned had a "do not disturb" doorhanger on it and the room was obviously unmade. Front desk person said 'sorry about that" and we were issued another room close by. That room was OK
The room was excellent, very inviting and still updated. However the bed was very uncomfortable and springy, and the walls so thin we heard footsteps and creaky noises all throughout the night, As for the employees, the staff was great, yet the front desk could be a little more welcoming and clear with their check ins. I still very much enjoyed my stay, the beds and screechy walls on the other hand will be a factor whether or not we will return .
Checking in was fast and convenient. The inclusion of a full hot breakfast added value. The location was great.
Location is great. We walk to heavely gondola with our 7 year in his ski boots. It is 10 mins walk to the arcade in harrah's casino, my son's favorite after a day of skiing. The front desk staff who helped us check in was friendly and helpful. As I mentioned that we might extend our stay, she made note to match the rate we booked through third party online. When I called the front desk the night before our original departure date to extend our stay, the staff told me over the phone "you have to come down now. You need to pay immediately." I was ready to get in bed. Didn't feel like putting on my jacket to go outside and walk to the lobby in a different building. I ended up extending the our stay in the morning without any problem. The hotel was not busy at all in April. It would be better if the front desk staff that night was the same as the one helped our check in.
Location to the Gondela in Heavenly Plumbing wasn't workking in one room. We were moved to another and the plumbing wasn't working there either then we got a room where it actually worked. Air con was noisey in all room. Bedroom was really cold at night.
Location and size of the suites Rooms could use some updating
We were upgraded to a huge 2br suite with 2 bathrooms, and had a door leading directly to the pool. Very comfortable, great location, opposite excellent shopping centre and walking distance to lake. The spa and jacuzzi was on full all night, no way to turn it off and it kept us awake with furious bubbling, and people loudly splashing at 1am! The pool should have a reasonable closing time such as 10pm.
The suites are absolutely huge. It would be perfect for a group of friends or a small family. The location is perfect - right next to the gondola, and a grocery store where you can stock up the kitchen. Forced air heating is quiet. The rooms are a bit dark and need more lighting. The windows are thin so we heard a lot of traffic, despite being next to a low-traffic area. It got a bit chilly at night, so you have to turn up the heat. A comforter on the bed would help too - they only provide a thin blanket. There's not a lot of parking.
Convenient location, restaurant and sports bar next door. It seemed expensive, until I compared it with other properties. Bathroom and room appeared to be recently remodeled. Poor sound insulation. Noise in hallways was easily noticeable.
Location is nice, pool/hot tub was nice Lake view room is right over the busy road which was very loud. No AC meant a very warm room with opening the siding for the only way to cool down, making it even louder. Overall, it was fine but not sure we would go back and definitely would request a room in the back building of the main road if we did
This inn has a great location and we loved the fact that we could include our dogs on our trip with us however, it was run down, and is in desperate need of renovations. The appliances such as microwaves and mini fridges don't work and the carpets are stained. For the price we expected nicer accomations and were a bit disappointed. Furthermore, dogs can never be left in rooms alone as I understand to not annoy other guests however, the many loud drunk people in the pool area at night past 11 were much more annoying than my dog. Renovate rooms, lock people out of pool area at posted times due to noises disturbing guests around pool area,
excellent value for money, friendly staff, very clean and great hot tub nothing!
Goid proximity to the beach, free bike rental, free parking. Bed seemed clean enough to sleep in for one night and the AC worked well. We didnt like the dirty towels, outdated and smelly hallways, dirty old rundown room, uncomfortable bed.
The bed the wifi cut out and the telephone didn't work
The hot tub and the gym The fridge did not work
Very Nice, Clean and Quiet - big room
The location couldn't have been more perfect for our stay. We walked to dinner every night at MacDuff's, which was recommend by the staff. (Get the mac and cheese!!) We had picnic lunches looking out over the lake, which was directly across the street from the Inn! We really enjoyed being able to walk around, as well as drive to some fun nearby spots for food and took a drive all the way around the lake! We also loved the gorgeous hot tub out back, clean and truly beautiful!! We weren't properly warned about the fact that there wasn't any air conditioning in any of the buildings as it had been shut off for the season. I couldn't sleep at all the first night, and we didn't feel comfortable leaving the porch door open as we had a view out into the less affluent looking community to the back. I think it is probably worth spending extra for the lake view, and requesting extra fans up front if you are going post-AC season. We were more comfortable after the fans were on, but felt a little frustrated that it seemed to have been kept from us as we were told they would move us if anything wasn't working. After we called to ask about the AC not working, we were finally told that it was unavailable. We still had a great stay, and wouldn't put us off of recommending it, but wish we had a bit more warning going in.
Loved being right at the beach! We went midweek and pretty much had the beach to ourselves! The rooms were nice. The staff was great! The only thing I didn't like was the smell of the soap, shampoo, etc. provided. It had a weird medicinal smell.
The staff was very nice and accommodating! Since we decided to not stay there for our vacation they let us cancel without any pay! Our room was next door to house keeping. Washing machines were right next door which were very loud. Outside our door was the delivery dock with lots of confusion. The beach was not as groomed as I was expecting from a resort. Dog poop and cigaret buts. The water there was full of algie which I'm not sure if that is due to the dock? The Ticki bar was full of people which is great for young party kids. But we were looking for a resort with a pleasant, clean and family friendly!!
Great staff and location. Very close to the water and shopping. Clean accomodations overall. Very small rooms, rather cramped spaces, and no complimentary breakfasts. The drinking water carried a $3.00 charge, ridiculous. At night the jacuzzi party was allowed to carry on until very late, noisy.
You can't beat the beach access! With two young sons, having the pier, pool, beach and bar (for mommy & daddy) all within footsteps of our hotel room was amazing. Convenient and SO much fun. The grounds are great. We sat around the fire pits and ordered dessert one night:-) Love everything about this place. Oh, and it's affordable!
Perfect location on the beach and in town. There wasn't sugar or creamer provided for the coffee, and there weren't any wash cloths.
Great location, right on the beach. Great views. centrally located. Very good value for the cost.
I like the location, very clean and exciting, the room setting was nice and comfy, the pool my children loved! and enjoyed and landscaping was very nice maintance plus, the beautiful fire pit in the evening my family and I seat around and talked and enjoyed. Also the walk way to the beach close to the pier! beautiful view! We had our fur baby and he loved it just as much as we did! so happy the retreat is pet friendly great Plus
Due to the staffs clerical errors charging us over $200 in room service fees which were not ours "but looked close to our room number" caused an embarrassing and uncomfortable situation when our credit card was declined at lunch, due to the staffs eronious errors, and also not having access to our money for 2 days which is an extreme inconvenience when you are traveling.
Location on the lake front was excellent. Hammocks to enjoy the views and outdoor. Dock excellent for watching the sunsets. Buildings are old. We stayed on 1st floor and heard every creak and Crack as the people above us walked around. I was aware of their bathroom and showering habits. Our room was not the cleanest. Walls had lots of spots on it, smelled like bug spray but they tried to cover up with lemon scent. Our bed was extremely firm and so we're the pillows. With the noise from above and the uncomfortable bed it was difficult to get a good night's sleep.
The staff made our stsy Rooms were a little small but with the fireplace and deck made up for the room size.
Very quiet rooms. Friendly staff. We went to rent a cabana and chairs to sit on the shore. There was nobody at in the area of the cabanas. Later in the day we again tried to rent a cabana. We were told they had all been rented and the start of renting them was 10 am. We had originally tried to rent one after 10 am and there was no one in the area of the cabanas which were folded up near some tents which had been set up for another occasion. The "beach" had some rocks and the water was very shallow for an extended distance from the shore. The first 100 yards out from the shore was muddy water.
Loved the fireplace in the room. Loved the efforts made to save - with the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, and lotion. Also, loved that we had the option not to have towels and sheets changed to save on water. The staff was very friendly and helpful!
Our room was so nice. In the lake tower on the 14th floor. Great views! There nothing we didnt like.
Cleanliness and Friendliness of the hotel
Room was very outdated and non smoking room smelled like stale smoke
Close to concert. Great room with a view of Lake Tahoe. Starbucks conveniently located close to the elevators. Bed was not very comfortable. We stayed across the street at Harrahs last time and the bed was better. However, we liked the room much better at Harvey's.
I stay here always. Love it. Go warriors
Too many broken down elevators
Cleanliness of the hotel was consistent. I had to stay at two nights in two different rooms in the 18th floor which they gave me a perfect view of the fireworks during the opening of the gold tournament. Especially the cleanliness of both rooms was satisfied. I loved the valet free parking except tips only. The second night I thought the front desk would rush the room to be ready within the time I checked out the first night but they called after fee hours. Also no one ever answered the front desk when I called from the room in the morning.
Room and bed
We liked everything. Rooms were awesome with comfortable beds, very clean and updated bathrooms, food was excellent, gambling was great, and a perfect location for shopping or to do anything around the lake. Can't wait to stay again.
The rooms were very nice; great bathroom, comfortable bed, and the casino was nice as well. Strange arrangement of the electrical outlets. No real easy place to charge your phone and be able to access it in bed unless you happened to bring an extension cord with you.
bathtub and shower feature is good, bathroom counter space is good, two separate vanity/sink areas is good, refrigerator in room is good, chaise was uncomfortable, mattress was uncomfortable, pillows were not comfortable, they were down and they flattened out to nothing, lighting was poor and the drawer space for clothing was poor, dresser is old outdated and banged up. Rooms need updating.
The staff was excellent..the rooms have been upgraded. I have stay at this resrt in the past The cont. breakfast was a bit meager
The beautiful location. The room was very comfotable for the price we paid. Very limited choice at breakfast.
Ideal Location for skiing and casino's
The hot water for shower is not regular, it was switching between very cold to very hot at certain interval. Breakfast variety can be improved, instead of just unhealthy donuts.
The bed's were really hard.
I didn't see any pet's fee charge in either this website nor their website! It should be clearly post how much would they charge during the reservation, it's not very pleasant to find out I need to pay extra for my staying! And the bathroom drain was not working well.
Staff friendly and close to attractions Rooms needed updating and no ac and it was warm
Great location, great price. A/C did not work.
It was nice that the staff let us check in early. location was good, it is close to the beach, have swimming pool. bathroom was too small, table was also small only enough for 2 chairs 1 of the chair was so dirty that we were afraid to sit on it. knob for the shower was loose. maid didnt clean the coffee cups or coffee maker. towel for the swimming pool was too small. some of the donuts was so hard ( probablly left over from previous day). it's hard to find plug for your cells or laptop. we have to push the bed away from the wall to use it. clock not working propertly, keep blinking 12:00.
Staff was courteous. We saw a concert which was great except for the "lounge" style seating at tables. We had a good stay. The facilities were a bit dated. The lack of automatic doors was difficult because we had bikes and it was hard to get them in and out.
Comfy beds Nice shower Good view of lake Maid walked into our room before our checkout time, two hours before checkout time. Check-in customer service was very poor Can hear people walking down the halls from your room Keep rooms very cold when you walk in
swimming pool, gym and gambling tables Poor customer services. I booked two rooms, but their system was showing only one room on my name. It took them two hours for them to confirm my two room reservations. I reserved lake view, but they gave us floor #4 with terrible view of roof with all the air conditions pipes...Also, their jacuzzi was under constructions.
I am single father , I had promised my daughter to take her to Tahoe to play in snow. over the Thanksgiving holidays. I booked a room via get a room It was a good deal,. I have been going to this hotel, since it was Cesar Tahoe, a world class place 28 years ago,.I love their swimming pool and their spa. When , my brother learned about our trip , he also booked in the same hotel. They have a 1 yr old child, they checked in to the 15th floor, In the evening , when they were trying to put the baby to sleep , their hotel room opens up and another group of guest walks in , The Montbleu had double booked their room. When we checked in, the bell person brought our luggage up to our room , I tipped him generously, but he did not even a say simple Thank u. I was in shock. I felt insulted, the bell person , the hispanic guy ,was exercising power and making a statement. following day, when i tried to pay my bill at cafe del sol, after having breakfast, the cashier treated me like a criminal , and outlaw as their computer showed our room 707 is vacant. They want to see my ID. I cried out , my luggage and belongings and ID are still in the room. after 15 minutes argument with embarrassment in front of my daughter and other guest , the Cafe manager , made it sound like as she is doing me a favor by accepting my credit card for the payment.of our breakfast. she said, i am going to this one time. I said , thank u very much After , breakfast , i went to the front desk to inquire about our room showing vacant and they may double book the room with our belongings in the room , but not a simple apology was made. The front desk who was he/she or she/he said sorry very Sarcastically. We checked out that day, making our trip short, i did not feel comfortable and did not feel safe to stay there for another night. sure , things have changed in that place. Never mind the lack of customer service or making u feel welcomed, the presence of prejudice, and employee's ignorance and attitude , lack of management and lack of security screams out. Shame on you and your employees Montbleu. I am forwarding profanity in every language to your establishment for such a horrible and ugly experience. Shame on you. It surely not a family place, It definitely a smoker's place The smell of cigarette is overwhelming. You may walk out of that casino with the lung Cancer. Staff are rude and illiterate and uncivilized with no common sense. When you are at Cafe Del Sol, there is a excessive vibration and Noise surrounding you as there is a 747 Jet is getting ready for take off. While we were there, the Swimming pool was closed. The Steam room is never hot enough ,
The additional service fee for no service
The mountain view from room was amazing
great view, great price pool not open, confusing special in restaurant
If you're looking for a great deal for a solid room in Stateline this is the place. The rooms have been updated and are huge. I stayed here for my wedding and the manager accommodated a late checkout no problem so that I could get ready before the ceremony.
That we checked out early and went somewhere much better!!! This is a poor excuse for a hotel. They claim they've done $25 million in room renovations, but it's more like $25 dollars a room. No microwave, no refrigerator (even in suites from what the operator told me) the hotel had a generalized stench to it, I best described it as it smells like someone was crop dusting the whole time. Very overcrowded! I wouldn't suggest anyone stay here, even for a cheapened room rate we've stayed in much better in the area. AVOID!
the room was fine. The room was nice I wasn't to concerned about the parking lot and roof top view ether. Having No fridge was definitely upsetting you would of thought 25 million in renovations would at least give rooms a mini fridge. The staf should all be fired because they are so rude and don't make you aware of "facility fees" until you check out witch is bullshit. Over bad experience.
I liked the spa No microwave
The rooms were spacious enough for four adults and the location very ideal. The air conditioner and ice machine were broken and the staff moved our room at no extra charge. No upgrade or anything which was disappointing since we couldn't sleep it was so hot but nonetheless we wanted to sleep through the second night. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE BUFFET. Seriously, the most DISGUSTING OVERPRICED food I've ever had, EVER. Eat at the 24hr cafe. The food is great and reasonably priced. The steakhouse was delicious also but pricey which was to be expected.
Staff was friendly. Rude noisy neighbors kept us both up from 2am until 430 am both nights!
My boyfriend and I stayed in a newly renovated room! It was lovely and we loved that it had two bathrooms. They asked for a $50 deposit and I've never had that at a hotel which I thought was odd.
I loved the my stay! Everything is offered right inside the hotel, staff was amazing! Casino was super fun! Dinner at the Forrest buffet was great and the hotel had tons of extras (pool, arcade, bar, etc) I would def recommend this to any family and friends wanting to visit Tahoe
Great room with 2 full bathrooms. No complimentary coffee or water in the rooms.
The room we got was excellent. Twin Queen bed and two full bathrooms. Room was excellent. No breakfast, no kettle in room, no fridge, no complemtary coffee, no free movie channels and above all, NO GREE WIFi
Poor check in service. No comps.
Location Horrible service
Upgraded to an amazing suite had a wonderful dinner at Friday's steakhouse.
