The Plaza was one of Conrad Hilton's first and best-performing hotels at its inception, hosting everyone from locals to politicians to Hollywood stars like Elizabeth Taylor. The iconic building re-opened in June of 2020. Today, the four AAA Diamond-rated hotel exudes luxury with dynamic public spaces, a curated Mexican and Texas artwork collection, and 7,600 sq. ft. of meeting and event space. The Plaza proudly features two of El Paso's most coveted dining experiences. mbar Restaurante features wood-fired modern Mexican cuisine and the largest agave spirit collection in North America. La Perla, El Paso's most notable rooftop bar, features classic and spirit-free cocktails, seafood bites, and design nods to Elizabeth Taylor, who lived in the former penthouse. On the lower level, The Plaza offers an expansive fitness studio with two Peloton bikes, one Mirror, Gym Rax modular bays with multilingual virtual classes, two TechnoGym elliptical machines, three TechnoGym treadmills, and free weights. With health and well-being top of mind, we have developed REST ASSURED, a 5-point program designed to ensure guests and staff may be put at ease while on property. Program standards, including advanced cleaning protocols, physical distancing, and transparent communication, are based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA).
