Architecture and interior design of the building is amazing. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was nice.
There was a private party with a band playing until 10pm and we happened to be very tired from driving a long distance. It wasn’t a major issue but we would have personally liked to have some peace and quiet when we showed up. Also there are many odd, and homeless people who congregate around the building who put on shows like yelling profanities and etc. At first it seemed sketchy but later it was fun to watch the shows from the upstairs window.
I think we has one of the best rooms in hotel - wonderful views! The bed comfort was excellent. Very interesting history, the hotel was built by Finlanders over 100 years ago.
Not the best neighborhood!
My husband and I loved this place. Great location, friendly staff, awesome room. We stayed in the Captain's room and just loved it. Ate at the pub downstairs and listened to local musicians. Breakfast was very nice and quiet. Would recommend for anyone traveling in the area.
Thought it was a little pricey but everything else made up for it.
If you like the experience of old school charm then this is the place for you. It was a cool historic place with large rooms. The breakfast was really good. The staff were great.
If you like new and sparkly...then don’t stay here. It has creaky floors. Bathroom was small. Rooms were big but would have liked a big bed too. The homeless people hanging near the car park were unsavory.
