Cons: Enterprise did not make renting a car easy for me. I received false information from EVERYONE I spoke with. From debit/credit card use, to car availablity, to paying with cash at the end. I have never had so many complications with renting a car

OVERALL GREAT ...FOUND PERFECT JEEP FOR DRIVING IN
Pros: VERY GOOD SERVICE AND ASSISTANCE FROM ENTERPRISE OFFICE.
Cons: DIRECTIONS TO PICK UP CAR WERE VERY WRONG, THEY WERE LISTED AS AIRPORT, BUT THEY DO NOT HAVE A RENTAL OFFICE AT THE AIRPORT, IT IS IN ARCATA. WHEN I CALLED FOR PICKUP THEY DID NOT TELL ME THAT.

Cons: I m traveling with my family with 2 kids (5 and 9 year old).
They picked us up from Eureka airport, sent us to rental car pickup location. We unloaded our luggage, then was told that, because we will return the car at Reno, so the car on this pick up location was not available to us, and need to go to another pick up location for car. So we loaded the luaggage again, and went to 2nd pickup location. When we arrived, they told us, they need time to clean up the car. It delayed our schedule by 1 hour plus due to all those. If I made the booking only at airport, I can understand these last minute changes. But we made the booking few weeks before we arrive, and it still happen. I just don’t understand how a car rental company can operate like this.
3rd day on our trip, we were on our way to Lassen Volcano National Park. The error message showed up in the car’s dash board: Maintenance required, visit the dealer. The error message also showed: Take a break. These two error message showed continuously.
I called Enterprise roadside assistance, they said it may require oil change. Since we were driving in mountain areas without much people traffic, we do not feel comfortable continue driving this car. We have to skip our Lassen Volcano Natuonal Park, and drive to next closest Enterprise location to exchange for a new car. Again, 2nd bad experience on this trip booking with enterprise.

Pros: Very friendly, polite. Internet lines were down so when I found out the car smelled of cigarettes, they couldn't exchange it.
Cons: The car didn't have a full tank if gas, the outside was dirty, and had been smoked in.

Pros: Nice car, ran fine, got a ride and the man was very nice.
Cons: The cars are too expensive per day. It's extremely unaffordable.
Pros: I got a very nice car and it was easy even on a Saturday!

Cons: WAS NOT an AWD OR 4WD like advertised and the counter person says to me after stating I need to drive into the Sierra Nevada, VERY SNOWY, mountains..."Well at least it's not a rear wheel drive car"?
I have rented several times from Hertz. The last time was what I paid for.
This time I paid $391.00 for a 1 day rental of basically a mini van?
A fwd car/mini van thing is NOT even in the same classification as a Toyota 4-Runner AWD SUV...obviously Hertz is trying to BAIT and switch for a lessor vehicle and is basically false advertisement...

rudest counter persons ever
Pros: it's located closest to my home.
Cons: looked up hertz payment info online, and noted that some outlets do not accept debit cards. called the branch to speak with an agent, and was assured they do accept debit cards. got a ride to the airport, and was told they DO accept debit cards, but only on arrival to the airport with a valid flight boarding card.
my ride had already departed. no other local companies had any cars remaining, there is no reception for most cell phone carriers. the agent next door (national, avis) did not have cars available, but at least called the airporter so i could get home ($40). i found a car 2 days later, for $90+ more, so they cost me over $100 because they do not bother to provide accurate payment info.
jacob and melissa were slow, and rude throughout,. other than offering to let me make a local call, they did nothing to make this attempted rent anything other than miserable.

Pros: The car was ready when we needed it; friendly clerk.
Cons: Bummed out that the car was NOT clean. They didn't bother to wash the car or windshield, inside not vacuumed or cleaned out, and even had some granola bar wrapper left in car. When we reported the unclean car (when we returned the car) they said sorry, but they were short staffed.

Could be better
Pros: The Nissan Sentra we drove was fine for our 8hr drive but could have been better on gas mileage. We did use the eco option frequently and it helped some. The car was clean and had a good amount of trunk space.
Cons: Customer service was simply okay at best. We were scheduled to pick up at 8am. We arrived before 8am and there was a line of two customers ahead of us. We waited over 45 minutes to get our vehicle. Really? We needed to get on the road. When returning our vehicle at 9am the next day, the woman that unlocked the door clearly saw us standing directly outside the door, but didn't feel at all obliged to open the door for us. When we showed ourselves inside, she didn't properly acknowledge our presence, say hello, or show any sort of courtesy. She simply took the keys and muttered to herself and walked outside to review the vehicle. I'll go across the street next time to Enterprise.
The vehicle was also covered in scratches. We booked online and Hertz agents were not familiar with kayak.com. Apparently, I paid $7 more for insurance at Kayak than I could have with Hertz. I also was unable to use my AAA discount at pickup because Kayak booking was prepaid.
