10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful hosts, good breakfast, very clean. As other reviewers mentioned, very private and away from everything yet close to town and close to great hiking spots as well as Mt Evans. Very nice property, quiet. The hot tube was nice after a long day of hiking. Hotels and B&B's in the area are very expensive and we were very happy with the value of this location and very glad we stayed.
Cons: No major issues. The bedroom was on the small side and the bathroom is private but separate from the bedroom. I didn't mind this personally - just something to be aware of. The owner also has two large dogs. They were kept upstairs and away from guests. Again, didn't bother us at all but something to be aware of.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very gracious hosts, comfy beds, great breakfasts, ample space for lounging
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 10/10, absolutely exceptional experience. Upon arrival you’ll notice the detail and work the owners have put into the property. From the beautiful birch woods, to carefully placed plants among large boulders and a beautiful meadow (Zoey’s Meadow per Michelle). John and Michelle welcomed us with open arms and did everything they could to make us comfortable. We stayed in a very cozy room that was EXTREMELY clean and was decorated very nicely. There was no AC in the room (we were nervous at first since we’re from the southeast) but the room felt great the entire stay due to the cooler climate. Bathroom was also very nice as well. The owners have 2 adorable dogs that will not bother you during your stay in anyway; they stay separately from guests upstairs. The facilities were excellent, but what really made the experience exceptional was John and Michelle’s kindness and general interest in their guests’ well being. They took extra time to talk to us about local sites, when and how to get there, and the most optimal times to go in order to better our experience. This is a type of service that you cannot buy and it truly made our experience amazing. Thank you so much John and Michelle. P.S. We made it to the summit of Quandary Peak!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very relaxing and comfortable with special touches that make for a memorable stay. The bed is one of the best I have slept in. John and Michelle are wonderful hosts that became like friends.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everyday our breakfast was excellent and the presentation was professional. I consider myself a good cook, but her cooking was delicious. Michelle made sure we were treated like royalty. We were given suggestions on what to see in the area and were supplied with maps and scenic routes. The atmosphere was relaxed and layed back. We saw local wildlife including deer, chipmunks and even a red fox!
Cons: I liked everything!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a lovely, 420 friendly spot! Michelle & John we’re hostess w/the most-ess!!! Breakfast was amazing, we highly recommend✌️
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Michelle was extremely nice and makes the best breakfasts I have ever had. Clean, comfortable and quiet! Ten stars from my wife and I!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and peaceful. Remote.
Cons: Nothing really. It was simply splendid.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was very relaxed and comfortable. Breakfast was a treat Chatting with Michelle and John as well as the other guests was quite nice. And Zoe (greeter dog) was a friendly hostess and made us feel right at home
Cons: If cell phone service is important you may have an issue but don't have to go far to get a signal if you have to. Nice to unplug for a couple days
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great accommodation!! Very clean. There are only two rooms in the B &B, with a private bathroom. Everything you need for the stay is provided. Michelle will cook you anything you want for breakfast at the time you would like. Just a few scenic miles to Evergreen, watch out for the wildlife. Just a short drive to Mt. Evans. Michelle and John Are the perfect hosts. The lodge is beautiful and well appointed. You are provided your own little refrigerator. Coffee is 24/7.
Cons: There is nothing not to like!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every detail was executed with perfection at Elk Run from the lush linens on the super comfortable bed to the fluffy towels and the softest robe we've ever felt used for traveling from bed to bath to hot tub. The wonderful and gracious hosts, John and Michelle made a point of making us a delicious breakfast suited to our dietary needs and it was amazing. The property boasts a gorgeous and very peaceful deck on which to relax and enjoy a soak in the hot tub. This B&B is where you should stay if you visit the area. We will not look elsewhere when we are back in Evergreen. Just far enough away from town to feel secluded and in nature, but close enough to the hustle and bustle of town. The best of both worlds. Highly recommend staying at the Elk Run!
Cons: Only thing that could have been better would be if we could have stayed longer to enjoy the B&B more than just 2 days. Beautiful place to unwind.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lisa and Tommy really went the extra mile for me. I was in a long bike ride and my arrival was well after restaurants were closed. The went and picked up some food for me and left it in the room. Super service!
4.3 Okay
Cons: During our first night, the heater broke and we woke up to a room that was below 50degrees. We informed the manager and they "fixed it" by putting in a new thermostat. Unfortunately the thermostat beeped twice each time the heater came on and once again when it turned off. This beeping noise kept us awake the second night since it was cold outside and the heater kept coming on and turning off. When we made the manager aware of our two poor nights of sleep, we were told that the thermostat has been replaced. I asked if there was anything the owners would like to do to make things "right" with us, and they said they did not feel there was any reason for any "adjustment". Interesting given that we had two nights with very poor sleep. Also interesting that they could not even offer us a discount on a future stay or offer us something else to make up for our poor experience....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location and how convenient it was to get back into downtown Evergreen from the hotel. The couple that runs it are so friendly and treat you like family, which is how the whole town is! This was the perfect spot for a Babymoon getaway!
Cons: Bathroom floor was freezing haha! But that's nothing they can control really, maybe put down a few more rugs?
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was awesome
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, room was quiet and clean and comfortable. Elk was in the parking lot so that was a great surprise! Outdoor space was very serene and lots of areas for peaace and quet.
5.0 Okay
Cons: If booked on line it was a B and No B. Breakfast looked like out of vending machine but on-line bookers didn’t even get that
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed staying at the Alpen. We were there for two nights in July. The place is beautiful and well cared for. Each suite is different and ours was unique and interesting. It has a little bit of a bed and breakfast vibe because it is a small lodge. (but you have your own bathroom and there are 3 buildings). There were nice places to sit outside. Each unit appears to have its own outdoor table or deck. We liked the room, the grounds, and the hot tub. Evergreen has an authentic charm with plenty of places to eat. It accommodates tourists well and is easy to park and get around.
Cons: We really have no complaints.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming, cozy
Cons: Nothibf
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location and outside grounds of property was beautiful. Close enough to walk into town.
Cons: The room we stayed in was a basement room under owner’s house and check in desk. It was very noisy and dark with no air flow. Could do better on hospitality toward guests.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The couple running the inn are very friendly and accommodating. The location to Evergreen business district is very convenient, walkable. The room we stayed in was nice, they put a lot of work in renovating it. However most rooms do not have views. For us this was a little disappointing but not a big deal as we don't spend a lot of time in the room. Also there is not breakfast included which we were a bit surprised about, which was our assumption that it is a BnB but rather an Inn. As such, the room felt a little bit on the pricey side compared to other BnBs we had been staying at through our journey through Colorado when considering adding breakfast outside. Overall, we had a good experience and would recommend it.

6.0 Good
Pros: Location and free breakfast
Cons: There was a leak from the ceiling of our bathroom and there was construction at the hotel. I'm sure it was a fluke but super annoying when my socks got super wet and I couldn't wear them
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room and furniture; clean and nice staff at reception desk when we checked in.
Cons: The heating and a/c unit was a window type older one and it was a bit noisy.
1.0 Poor
Cons: Horrible, Horrible, Horrible front desk staff. Advertised as pet friendly but apparently only for a handful of rooms. Would not allow our 20 lbs Pug who is a therapy dog for my disabled son. But, allowed a wedding party to rage ALL NIGHT.

Cons: Nice but just needs some updating.
6.8 Good
Pros: The location is beautiful. The room was small but adequate.
Cons: Although it was slated as pet friendly, it didn’t feel entirely pet friendly. Parking was limited, too.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The lady was nice when we checked in
Cons: I didn’t like how rude the were to my wedding party after we had asked to hold a rehearsal at their property and was forced to book all their remaining cabins to do so. But, they had no problem with the noise of their repeat guests drunk and loud at 3am. Also when I booked from booking.com I booked a bigger 4bdrm cabin and ended up with a smaller 3bdrm cabin. I had to call the property to find out about my booking since the deposit hadn’t come out and yet I had a confirmation number saying I booked a 4bdrm not a 3bdrm.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: How close it was to the town. Staff did not bother us.
Cons: Not a very good looking place, old furniture, chair in living area fabric was torn.
