Pros: It’s hard to beat the view from the terrace at breakfast and the staff are absolutely fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. Finds a great balance between being fairly refined without tipping over into stuffy. Lovely bar with great bar staff mixing super cocktails. Rooms are well laid out and our kids loved the sliding door between them and us. Easy to pop down into Evian on the funicular. We didn’t use the spa but it looks great.

Cons: If I was really being picky I would say the pool is on the small side for the number of guests. Kids club could also be a bit sportier - we have two boys who just aren’t going to do craft type things) - but i’m being super fussy.

Pros: The spa facilities are superb, nice indoor pool long enough to do a few laps, so clean and overall very comfortable for a day at the spa The room was double aspect with a long balcony, big bed, nice deep bath and a separate shower and separate toilet The gardens are beautiful to walk through with access to the Royal Hotel grounds too with, a rose garden, some amazing trees, tennis courts, pétanque. Didn’t manage to get a chance to use the outdoor pool with looked fab

Cons: It was pricey, the service at evening meal was irritating - fine French cuisine but too much presentation from staff

Pros: High quality hotel. Beautifully decorated and designed to the last detail. Very enjoyable spa with direct lift. Beautiful gardens. We stayed at the low priced room but it was still great. Friendly staff. We went off season. Can't ask for much more.

Cons: Breakfast was somewhat expensive. Gym somewhat small.

Pros: Great staff and great customer service! The entire staff make sure you are happy at all time. We stayed there during the Christmas period and they gave us treats, written notes to make sure we feel at home and we did feel at home! They also have good facilities (Jacuzzi, sauna, spa), the view on the lake is amazing. I really recommend this hotel!

Pros: Location in the city center, comfort bed, very good breakfast. Although hotel parking lot was full, reception lady helped us to find free space in the city. My doggy was welcome in the hotel.

Cons: Since the building is old, you can hear all other guests walking around on the floor above you.

Pros: The location of the hotel is excellent, lots to see and do within walking distance. The staff were extremely helpful, really made you feel welcome and like nothing was too much trouble.

Pros: The location was perfect. The welcome by the lady at reception was exceptional. The room and bathroom were spotless and nicely appointed with a view of the lake. Breakfast was very good, in a room overlooking the garden. Wonderful stay during our cycle trip along the Rhône. Thoroughly recommend!

Pros: The only thing good about this place is the quietness and the lake view and some of the staff are friendly.

Cons: We were deceived by booking.com photos. We booked for a classic lake view room and according to the photos, the room was ok with modern setting and spacious bathroom. But we were NOT given any of the rooms seen on booking, there was just one last photo out of the 14 photos that was an old room with an old bathroom. We were given that one! The sheets are always dirty with stains on them, no matter how many times they change it! Also, inside the sheets were insects everywhere, we couldn’t sleep comfortably. There was no room service except for breakfast. If we want to order lunch or dinner in the room we couldn’t do that. It was difficult especially if you are traveling with kids. At the pool side we waited half an hour for someone to order some snacks, when the lady came she ignored us and helped the couple who came after us, she didnt even bother to ask if we were waiting first. And when it was our time to order she was like” can you give me just 2 minutes” and she left! The rooms are too old, the towels are heavily used and old too. There is no one to help you with your luggages while checking out. We called and request help and no one showed up. I have no idea why this hotel is a 4 star hotel. It would just give it a 3 star hotel. It was basically renting a room in a house with help your self service. We didnt like it at all and we would never go back especially with the room that they gave us it was different than the one we saw at booking.com

Pros: Very nice room after a tough trip with many disappointing hotels. The staff was fabulous. The garden was very nice as well. Did their best to make my 3 year old feel happy. We were so happy that we booked another night.

Cons: Well the town is in an uphill town so prepare to walk up a mountain if you’re walking! :) and mountain view isn’t very mountainous because all you can see is a horse yard and trees - and maybe some mountains waaay in the distance (see picture). After we changed rooms to ‘classic lake view’ it was very nice.

Cons: there is no room service and if you want something to eat you must book at there restaurant and if you want to order the cook will never do it for you even if you will tack it from the kitchen to your room personally.

Pros: It's still retains its old classic furniture and smell. Some renovation is done to it. The staff are super super friendly, always smiling, willing to help, prices are also great. Going to it is also a scenic drive. It is built on its original natural way. The land has not been flattened out. Their breakfast is homemade and yummy.

Cons: The lift is small. If you have a couple of bags or large bags you will need a couple of trips to get to your room.

Pros: Very clean, warmly, and amazing view near to the lake with tube you can go for free in city and come back every 20 minutes which i like, also they know english which is very important for us also the room was amazing furnished and big enough to put our luggage.

Pros: Our kids love this place so much, especially the bouncing trampoline!

Pros: Although there is a slight problem before the arrival, it has been solved. The location is very good. Compared to the noisy Evian-les-bains, it is quiet and comfortable here. The host gave us a lot of mineral water, and also provided breakfast. Thank you very much Le bois rame!

Cons: Room extremely small, bathroom super small, very difficult to move in 2 persons with luggages. Breakfast crazy expensive, no elevatore you should carry the luggage 3 floors by stairs.

Pros: Wonderfully quirky hotel in an excellent location directly on the lake. The food is amazingly good. Just lovely.

Pros: They have complimentary push bikes you can use, which was great for cycling in and out of town. Loved that you could get into the lake directly from the hotel for swimming. Clean swimming pool. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Cons: Food and drinks a bit pricey, but we went out for dinner and breakfast so that wasnt an issue for us.
