Pros: Kazu best host ever!!!! Charming house and so accommodating to some last minute changes to our plans. Stay here!!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Kazu is a very welcoming person and loves to host people, it shows! :) He was kind to come and get us at the train station. The room was Japanese style, clean, with the basic amenities, and even a view of Mount Fuji. You can do laundry, cook your own meal, lounge on the terrace. You can even borrow bikes! The direct area is very residential, but you can go by bike to the coast in 20min. Kazu knows also a lot about hikes in Mount Fuji and is eager to tell you about activities to do in the region. We had a short, but lovely stay!
Cons: It's a very old Japanese house, so don't expect modern soundproofing. Apart from that, everything was fine!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice hosts , speaking english very well, They are too kind!!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kazu is amazing. Helped us out whenever we needed. Always responded quickly and would of been lost without him. Thanks kazu!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We only stayed one night but our stay was great. The owner is the nicest guy & was so helpful with our plans for Fuji, would definitely stay again!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was close to shin-Fuji station a little too far to walk but Kazu offers a pickup/drop off to the station so it's really handy especially if you have come from hiking mount Fuji like we did. Plenty of restaurants around the area if you don't want to use the kitchen facilities .
Cons: Not that this a bad thing but the rooms are separated by traditional screenings so sound travels easily so you have to ready for a real backpacker experience with all the noise of shared living.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice beds, comfortable, silent at night Close to 2 trainstations
Cons: Fuji is a horrible village. Nothing to do there
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Kazu runs everything so well. He is incredibly kind and thoughtful, and he is more than willing to help with anything you need. I would recommend this place to others any day!
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff the room and the price.

Pros: It’s worth to go there even the hostel is far away from Tokyo, the hostel is super clean, and the owner and the staff are friendly, free tour at morning to see the sunrise on Mt. Fuji. and waterfall, I like the town there.
Cons: I should stay at least 2 nights.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place for one day trip to Fuji mountain! Host is providing free ride to the 5th station Fuji in the morning: at this time of year (May) at 7 AM. Great price for this standard - traditional Japanese rooms with futons. Living room and kitchen on the ground floor - a lot of books, DVD’s (you can use tv), board games and Fuji souvenirs. I would recommend this guesthouse to everyone who can feel atmosphere of little Japanese town next to the Fuji mountain.
Cons: -
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Literally everything. From the taditional japanese style of house to the kindness and the good heart of the owner. The guest house has everything you might need and the owner even takes you to mt. Fuji early in the morning, amazing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location! Less than 5 minutes to get to the train station. The owner is super super friendly and extremely helpful. Room are clean and comfy. And you even can see the Mt. Fuji from the balcony. Definitely thank the owner recommended the restaurant, food are amazing! We like it a lot! Definitely come back to this lovely city. Recommend to all of you.
Cons: N/A
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very conveniently located close to the station. Our host was super nice and friendly. He gave us a free tour to two great spots, a free ride to the spa and on top went to a drugstore with us to buy some needed supplies. He really went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Huge plus is also the small poodle Daruma.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very solid, the look and feel is super cozy, and it's a great price! 10/10 would recommend
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This guesthouse had a homey cozy feel. There was a very cute and friendly small dog. The owner does a daily trip to Mt. Fuji for all guests that makes this place an even better value. It is steps from the train station so a perfect location as well!
Cons: Unfortunately when we visited the onsen type bath was not working. The shower was nice though!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love the morning tour. Very impressed by the host's kindness.
7.5 Good
Pros: Lots of helpful info when we arrived, was able to leave luggage before check in and get straight on a bus out to Shiraito falls(stunning). Guest house very close to bus station for transfers or waterfalls/lake sightseeing. Guest house very clean, cosy and comfortable with games and all things Mount Fuji :) The best part... the complimentary drive up to 5th Station in the morning to get close to Mount Fuji! Was really awesome!
Cons: My only complaint was the futon was a little thin and a bit hard on the back for sleeping.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff! Very nice lounge area and opportunity to spend time with other guests

Pros: All staffs were very kind! The space where a bed is located is private, clean, and cozy. The bathroom and the powder room were impressive! Everything I need was prepared: makeup remover, foam cleanser, etc. The locker was affordable for carry-on suitcase. In the robby, there is a wide selection of free drinks including oolong tea, black tea, matcha. Mt. Fuji related souvenirs are also displayed for sale. Location is also very good. This hotel is not far from Fujinomiya train station and Fujikyuko bus station and there are some good restaurants nearby.
Cons: .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are very big and comfortable, almost as a private room I ve never stayed in such a high quality hostel
Cons: There arent many lounges or places to socialise and make friends No kitchen or balcony
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really good stuff. Nice and helpful. The help us to get all the information we needed to Climb mt Fuji.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Massage chair
Cons: They don't have Gents & Ladies bath room every floor
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I've lose my access card, locker key and luggage card on the bus. First, i've knew that's my fault so i must pay for losing the key. But the staff was keep on trying on help me to call bus operator, then they've found it!! It's a rare thing in Indonesia, but it's the best of japanese people, they're very helpful. Thanks for Mikki, and the night shift staff (i'm sorry, if i forgot the name) Saki..
Cons: Nothing at all about the cabin, they're the best.. But unlucky for me, i've climb mount fuji while it was taifun on japan. I'll go there again maybe next year, and i'll be on cabin yado again.. Thanks.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pretty much everything, clean and tidy. Very comfortable overall!
Cons: The extra charges for early shower?! I reckon most the the hiker from Mt Fuji they finish the hike usually early, it would be good if we can access the shower room early rather than later 3pm =(
9.5 Excellent
Pros: good location
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This might as well be one of my best hotel experiences so far! (which include a lot of 5-star hotels). I really like the restful ambience of the dorms, the privacy, love all the facilities in the common rooms (including working stations, the amazing massage chair!, the coffee/tea machines), as well as the shared bathroom and toilet area that honestly feel like a spa with the dressing tables etc. Every corner was squeaky clean and felt new. The place is a walking distance from Fujinomiya Station and the bus station from which you can go to Shiraito Falls, Lake Tanuki, Asagiri Highland, Kawaguchiko, etc.
Cons: If you carry heavy luggage, prepare to carry them up the stairs because the place has no elevator. The hostel only has 2 or perhaps 3 floors, though, so shouldn't be a lot of problems. They have lockers but big luggage won't fit, so you have to carry it to your bed. It wasn't an issue for us because the place was mostly vacant when we went there, so my friend just spread her luggage on the floor in front of her bed. Also, they have bigger rooms that have more space. One lady snored so loudly during the whole 2 nights we were there. Issue was solved when I used the headphone they prepare on each bed to cancel the noise.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very good accomodation with locker, tv, face cleaning, lotion and cream but no toothpaste and toothbrush. There's pyjama and towel for rent. Each 100 JPY, 300 as a set of small and big towel with pyjama t-shirt and pant. There is very yummy u-dong restaurant near this place, just the left opposite side. 7-11 is not too far from this place, walking around 2 minutes.
Cons: Staff are not fluent in english however they are willing to help. The location is not very near train station but not too far, take around 3-4 minutes walking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is good. Especially staff:)

Pros: nice mountain view, good breakfast, perfect cleaning
Cons: location(it takes around 20 min. by walk from near station), no cafe, less restaurant around hotel.
6.3 Good
Pros: Handicap parking 20 steps from the entrance. Everything ok with room and bathroom. Standard Japanese breakfast was ok.
Cons: Only breakfast restaurant in the hotel. No restaurants in close proximity. Had to remove shoes at entrance due to floor mats.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view from the room window of Mount Fuji. Staff very good. Great location near enough to the Shinkansen station and restaurants/ supermarket. Very quiet hotel. Good breakfast.
Cons: All was good except the staff had quite weak English (better than my Japanese though!!!). They did have a portable translation machine that helped and everything was done efficiently.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Room with a view on mount Fuji. Unfortunately it was too cloudy to see Fuji San. Parking for a normal car was free. They had a lot of parking places.
Cons: Double is too small to have a good sleep: 153cm Breakfast is for 99% asian, so if you like that it can be allright. The breakfast was until 8.45am and at 8.42am the employees of the breakfast restaurant looked angry because we did not leave yet. Also this hotel has a lot of Chinese guests, and they make a lot of noise if they are the only guests in the hotel. The price of 2 double rooms for 1 night was €138. This was not worth it.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Business hotel, functional and clean. Big choice of breakfast stuff to eat, also included in the price! Big tv screen in room. Amazing view from our 11th floor room, straight on Mt.Fuji! (ask for a nice view room and hopefully you'll get it)
7.5 Good
Pros: Very clean.
Cons: Very small rooms.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel looks very new and modern. Everything is super clean. Grocery stores and restaurants are minutes of walking away. All bedsheets were replaced daily, which is very nice but also bad for the environment.
Cons: The rooms are very small, even for Japan. There is no room to store away a suite case. The same faucet is used for the shower and the sink in the bathroom. The double room is to small for 2 people, you are constantly in each others way.

Cons: need to take taxi to the train station bed is small if you stay for more than 2 days

5.0 Okay
Pros: Rooftop bath for legs
Cons: Our room was ok, but there were a terrible smell. We were told it is the Tamtami (a kind of traditional Japanese carpet) and that it is a usual smell of Tatami. Well now we are in 3rd accommodation where we sleep on matrices on Tatami and it never smells so bad! The smell woke us up several times.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner hospitalit
Cons: nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice people. Good location 4 minute walk to station.
Cons: Cigarette smoke.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Incredible night with the owners. We even got invited to their dinner and got offered some drinks! Fantastic hospitality in a truely local Japanese atmosphere and experience. Highly recommended!
5.0 Okay
Cons: To start with the obvious: this place is really, really dirty. The room was dusty, with a lot of hair from previous guests and an occasional ant scouting around. The sink in the toilet hasn’t been cleaned in a long time, the towel that came with it was stiff from dirt. No wonder, as no soap was provided. Bathroom and kitchen were in a similar state. My room was next to the owner’s bedroom. After dinner they started watching tv in there and smoked. As the rooms were separated only by a typical Japanese paper door at one end of the room, it was like they were watching tv and smoking in my room. One of the worst places I have ever been. I left after one night, even though I had paid for two, as I didn’t want to spent more time here.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice place, with nice people ;)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the best place I ever stayed. Hosts are so welcoming, generous, funny, comprehensive, always wanting to help you. They brang me to the waterfalls and made me some matcha tea, miso soup and Japanese sake! I wish I will go back again! Thank you for all!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hosts are very welcoming and will go the extra mile to help out. We wanted to climb mt Fuji off season and she sorted it all out for us! They also drove us to nearby attractions. Rooms are spacious and have traditional Japanese futons. Feel like we experienced true Japanese culture! Would highly recommend!

Pros: Breakfest
Cons: Nothing
6.8 Good
Pros: Room small. Bed small. Bath small.
Cons: Hotel location remote from Shin Fuji station.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very clean place
Cons: Hotel was paid for four days and we realised at 9.39am on the first morning of our stay that the Hotels kicks out its guests everyday between 10am and 3pm! Shocking... Not something you’d expect when you pay for your stay but it appears that we had missed this “rule” as it was written in small letters in a section called “important information” instead of having clearly written in the Policy section. The manager kindly allowed us to stay in our room but this nonsense rule needs to change and the hotel should offer the choice to its customers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good
Cons: Good
6.3 Good

Pros: We enjoyed the buffet breakfast--so many Western and Japanese choices. The view of Fuji from our hotel room window was a real bonus. Pros: Lots of space. Very comfortable bedding!
7.5 Good
Pros: Most high tech toilet we encountered in our 4 week tour of Japan. Not sure what the "massage" button did, we were afraid to try it.
Cons: Japanese breakfast was not available due to last minute reservation, Western breakfast was atrocious. Japanese breakfast looked quite ordinary at other tables.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast and good food in general in the hotel restaurant. Room is spacious and clean, even though we had to look directly into the ugly neighboring building. The lobby is nice and the hotel has overall a pretty luxurious feel to it.
Cons: Fuji is an ugly city so I assume most hotel rooms will be looking onto a horrible neighboring structure of one kind or another.

Pros: it is near Shin-Fuji station. Walk 10 min. Very convenient for me. The boss is very nice. It was raining when I checked out and went to Fuji station. She given me an umbrella even I said that I can’t return it. I am very appreciated for it.
7.5 Good
Pros: Near to the Shinkasen station, good value for 6 people. Free parking.
Cons: Very little english.
4.5 Okay
Cons: Horrible smell is in the hotel. Owners on the reception does not speak English. There is no opportunity to stay luggage after check out till train.
6.8 Good
Pros: they got free shuttle from the fuji or shin-fuji station, I called the property when I arrived and she said that the shuttle is not available at that time. But she told me to use the taxi and she will pay for it. So with a group of 6 people we took 2 taxi and when we arrived at the hotel, she paid the taxi. Really good service from the staff
Cons: the hotel is quite old (still got radio AM/FM integrated on the bedside table), but the small room is still comfortable. The reception at night is a really old guy that can't speak english (if you have any question, he will call the woman who work in the morning and you can speak directly to her)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good location with shop around. Very friendly lady boss. Thanks lady boss for sending us to station.
7.0 Good
