In most countries surrounding Botswana, it is possible to get a visa either on arrival or online, depending on the passport holder’s nationality. However, you need to notify the agency when you book, as your vehicle may require specific documentation to cross any borders as well. Make sure you discuss your requirements in detail, as each agency has its own regulations regarding which kinds of vehicles may leave the country, the duration of the period and the insurance cover needed. There may be extra costs involved for border crossings, like taxes and charges.

Verify your booking details, the exact terms of your insurance coverage, and how refunds or charges work in case of a claim. Do a detailed vehicle inspection with the rental agent, for the inside and outside.
