10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the use of antiques, charming cozy atmosphere. Close to high school where attended activities took place. Dinner locations are within walking distance. Breakfast and treats were fantastic!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a classic Bed and Breakfast in an old home that has been carefully restored and is full of period furnishings and decoration. The hosts were exceptional - warm and hostpitable. Breakfast was outstanding as were the evening treats. The bed was very comfortable. We stayed in a room with a private bath that was not attached to the room and that was slightly awkward because there was always a chance you could encounter someone in the hall - although we didn't. Everything was well-equipped.
Cons: Liked almost everything except maybe it would have been nice if the chairs in the bedroom were less period and more comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful stay. The hospitality was warm and helpful and time was taken by the owners to make us feel so comfortable. The mansion is quality plus and much time has been taken by the owners to make it special. The antiques are fabulous. Highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Vic and Anna made us feel so very welcomed, we were blessed and encouraged in so many ways. The special touches added so much to our stay, the chocolate kisses on the bed, and the red velvet cupcakes were delicious. We ate them on the porch and enjoyed a beautiful evening. We stayed in the largest suite, the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious as well and overall this was a great B&B. We have stayed at a few, and this was was by far the best. :)
Cons: We wish we could have stayed longer :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful, authentic home that is very comfortable. You can stay in your suite or sit out on the porch and have a glass of wine and admire the beautiful surroundings. Vic was the consummate host and made our stay very enjoyable from the well appointed suite to the comfortable bed and ended with a lovely omelet, fresh fruit, sausage and muffin served for breakfast the next day. The area around the home is beautiful as well. Good for a nice walk and enjoying the beautiful Michigan summer weather. The home definitely tells a story and for those of us who appreciate the story of a house this is the perfect place to stay. Thank you for your hospitality.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Anna and Vic are wonderful people. They made us feel right at home. The home is beautiful, and they make sure all the guests are comfortable and happy. I enjoyed speaking with Anna and Vic each day at Breakfast. Great people and very caring.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I came to the Baert Baron Mansion B & B and it was a treasure! We loved the building, the antiques and specially wonderful hosts Anna and Vic who told us stories about the mansion and made us a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Anna and Vic are amazing hosts who cater to your every need. When we arrived we were greeted warmly and when we went to our “attic apartment” there were homemade chocolate goodies, mini cakes, water and soda for our all our cravings. The Manson itself is amazing, the antiques and decorating are to die for! The grounds are meticulously maintained and the neighborhood is delightful. We highly recommend the Baert Baron Mansion in Zeeland Michigan and plan on staying there the next time we’re in the area! The homemade breakfast made us feel like royalty and Anna’s room filled with handmade jewelry was a showstopper!
Cons: Can’t think of anything negative to say! 5 stars!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Anna and Vic were so gracious and welcoming that we felt like we had known them for years. The mansion is absolutely beautiful both in ambience and furnishings; and we will recommend the Baert Baron to all of our family and friends. Oh, and did I mention the food? Fabulous! From the homemade sweets to the delicious breakfast, we enjoyed every bite. Thanks again to Anna and Vic for making our 44th anniversary stay so memorable.
Cons: There wasn't a thing we didn't like!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was absolutely delicious. It was a treat for the eyes as well as the stomach. If you want to feel pampered, this B&B will provide. The owners were wonderful-kind and gracious. Our every need was met.
Cons: That we couldn't stay longer!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, safe, new, high-end feeling to it, very quiet in room, excellent breakfast.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Breakfast was AMAZING! Clean and comfy beds!!! Great place to stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely clean overall, wonderfully friendly staff and a great breakfast!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The property was new, clean and relatively close to lots of convenient facilities. We were hoping to stay closer to the lake but wound up staying in Grand Rapids instead. This hotel was still a very convenient, easy drive over to Holland while being much more affordable than lesser hotels, closer to the lake.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were exceptionally friendly. I was warmly greeted when I arrived and when I checked out. Also during breakfast the manager came and inquired about my stay. Also the hostess at breakfast was very friendly as well. The hotel rooms are clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast choices was plentiful and there was a good selection.
Cons: The location is hard to find from the road. It sits back from the road and at night there is not any good signage to direct you there. I did pass it and have to turn around. Also the lighting is not good in these hotel rooms, it is a little dark in the rooms. These were minor inconveniences though.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was probably one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in!!!
Cons: My bed was too firm
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very clean an updated. We would definitely stay there again.
Cons: The HBO didn’t work. The GM said he would discount our room because there was a nice my husband really wanted to watch but it was messed up, but never did.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness of overall hotel not just my room. The comfort like I was home instead of in a hotel.
Cons: Attached restaurant to hotel.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room accommodations allowed for our family of four along with my in-laws to all stay together with still plenty of privacy for all. This allowed for more time for the kids to spend with their grandparents, that’s priceless! We had one bedroom with a bathroom , the in-laws had the other bedroom with a bathroom, while the kids shared the pull out bed. Because we stayed four days, we got tired of eating out, so it was great having the kitchen and buying healthy groceries instead. The free breakfast was nice. They staggered the options daily so you had new options every day. The pool hours are great, kids wanted to swim every day and my in-laws enjoyed the hot tub. Having the tv in both bedrooms and in the living space made it great for everyone who wanted to watch something different which happens when you have an adult/child mix. My in-laws were able to take a shuttle straight from the airport to the hotel while we were still traveling. We didn’t have to worry about them getting there or back! The price is so reasonable if you split the ticket. About the cost of a standard hotel room but with so much more! We loved our stay and would book again.
Cons: The pool temperature was too cold for our younger children. They were shivering after about 20 mins. The beds had firm mattresses which is great for those who prefer that, we usually sleep with a topper. The towels are small and scratchy but clean and did the job. There’s a main shut off electrical switch about at two year old level by the entrance door. She switched it at some point while we weren’t looking and it took us a few hours to figure out what happened. Lol!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, friendly staff and great location to bars and attractions.
Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: We found left over items in our room behind the big chair. Just made us wonder how clean rooms actually are. Toilet paper holder is to easy to hit your elbow on. I have a few bruises.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Had Breakfast at Starbucks
Cons: Hapy hour and snacks were excellent
9.3 Excellent
Cons: Coffee maker was messed up, squirted hot coffee out. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Things are just nice, like you pay for. There is space in the room and great amenities. We also mentioned it was our 10 year wedding anniversary and they sent up a complimentary bottle of prosecco. We originally booked with tou guys at a place in Ludington that turned out to be a huge let down. Even though we didn’t get a full refund there, we were happy to spend extra to stay here.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room was beautiful and comfortable. Great location. Easy access and easy check in check out
Cons: I request two queen bed w reservation but wasn’t available when I checked in. That was disappointing but even more so was the poor view I had. I spent over $500 for one night and had a view of ugly rooftops. I looked and there was availability at the hotel for half the price. For that money, I should have gotten a water view. The male checking me in should have seen my rate and made sure I got a good room. I was really really disappointed. This was a very special occasion and it was such a disappointment.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are beautiful and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is a bit pricey, but the food is fantastic. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is located within a reasonable walking distance to some good restaurants.
Cons: I don't have anything negative to say as my stay was wonderful. It is on the pricey side, but that is what you pay for a bit of luxury I guess.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Room service was very slow.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The entire experience was amazing! We were in town for the color run and stayed on the river view side on the 16th floor. Loved the area and the space. All the guests and staff were super friendly and we will be making another visit! Overall great time!!
Cons: The only complaints I did have was when we asked if they served breakfast they stated yes but didn't make it clear that it was not complimentary. So we sat down to eat and didn't eat a lot because we were racing in an hour. So we paid $85 for maybe $20 in food. There were 5 of us. 3 kids and 2 adults. We also had to ask staff twice to bring up extra blankets. And didn't know about the $32 parking fee for one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful place to stay.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The JW is a nice hotel and since I was staying to celebrate with my significant other, it was one of the best options for Grand Rapids.
Cons: We asked the staff to sweep up glass in our bathroom while we were out, but when we returned the glass was still everywhere. Without apology they also removed and lost our personal celebratory champagne glasses. They never returned emails or calls.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The whole stay was excellent
Cons: Hot tub needed better jets. There weren't any vending machines with drinks.

Cons: Paying for parking
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice if not memorable hotel. Suited our needs.
Cons: Parking charged extra and expensive given it was a fair way out of town. Also we were charged extra tax for ”hotel services” which seemed a little unnecessary as one would have thought this was Included in the room rate. Great meal in restaurant next door. The Meat Market. Breakfast was not included but available in bar. Long wait for it

Pros: We really liked the breakfast with a wide variety of options including some healthy options like turkey sausage, fresh green juice, greek yogurt, and fresh fruit! The room was excellent. Nicest hotel bathroom I've ever seen. There was even a pool and hot tub. Free parking onsite was a bonus too.
Cons: The stairways in the parking structure didn't have signs directing to how to enter hotel so we were a little confused on arrival but then the next time did see the elevator was the way in.

Pros: Courteous Staff, helped me settling in very comfortably after 25 hours flight travel. Quiet and very comfortable room. Very comfortable bed. Very approachable location.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location! The suite was very nice.
Cons: Parking ramp was expensive and was supposed to work on our room key. Twice it didn’t work correctly and was inconvenient. Otherwise we loved it!
7.5 Good
Pros: The rooms are very spacious and clean, and the front desk was quite helpful. Also, the location was very central to local attractions, bars and restaurants.
Cons: My room was on the second floor facing a street. The traffic and other outdoor noise was easily heard throughout the night, and the wood floors were creaky so that guests above me, in the hall and in adjacent rooms could be heard. I don't think there was much done to soundproof the rooms from ambient noise. The free dinner was a very nice idea, but the selection was so unappealing that I skipped it. A lower room rate would have been a better option.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The only thing that was disappointing was the breakfast. Everything else was great.

Pros: The home is gracious and beautiful and the innkeepers are excellent hosts. We loved the kitty but not to worry she is not allowed in the rooms. Great location just far enough away from the hub. We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay.
Cons: The parking was very limited and tight, the coffee tasted like strong mud and the breakfast was somewhat pedestrian but tasty. We were aware beforehand of a shared bathroom, which actually worked out better than expected.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location and skywalk to the arena made all the difference and was the biggest reason we stayed here. We never had to go outside to get to the arena.
Cons: It was quite costly but I am sure that had more to do with location than amenities. The sheets were wonderful but the bed was a little hard.

Cons: The room was small, the bathroom way to small, it was crowded either the 2 of us in there. Extremely expensive for what you get. Location was convenient though
9.3 Excellent
Cons: Room rate was much higher than I thought it should be. GVSU graduation was happening but I booked months, nearly a year, in advance. I pay this rate for unique luxury accommodations on Oregon’s Coast. While the hotel was nice, it doesn’t warrant the rate.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable.
Cons: N/a
7.0 Good
Cons: The parking garage area is not adequate; after a long day (& early morning to come) the front desk didn't know the actual clearance & had to find a lot for our van; for our car only handicapped sites were left. The most aggravating part of our stay.

Cons: The only negative was a chemical smell in the room. Perhaps a strong cleaner or something? Not sure where it was coming from.

Pros: Large rooms and cleanliness of the room.
Cons: Breakfast was not included as a part of the overall price. We would not stay here in the future.

7.0 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: Stayed a few time here and have liked it every time. Only thing that was off this time was a blood spot on the bedding. Like two drops so not a huge thing but not expected either. We didn’t complain to staff as minor.

Pros: Rooms are always great
Cons: Cleaning on the shower tile could have been better
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice spacious hotel
Cons: They seemed short staffed as public areas had overflowing trash bins and bathrooms that could have used a refresh. Charge for breakfast and no AC in the hallways were unexpected things that seemed like cut backs. Overall, the place was very nice though.
4.5 Okay
Cons: The air conditioner was so terribly noisy, we couldn't sleep. Woke up exhausted. Had no idea the unit could be so loud.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The front desk gals were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar was excellent and very clean.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room. Very clean.
Cons: Breakfast was lacking. It seemed there was only 1 person restocking and cleaning up and it was very busy! Egg pot was empty, potatoes were empty. Of the 3 cereals only 1 had cereal in it. Only 1/2 slice of bread available. I feel the person working the breakfast area was overwhelmed and there should have been a second person for this morning.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Updated rooms.
Cons: I stepped on a piece of glass in room 324 by the wet bar with in 30 minutes of checking in. There was also dog hair from other people's pets stuck to the sheets. Breakfast was not good at all.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Seemed new, price was great compared to Grand Rapids & Holland’s prices. Right off highway but close to many restaurants. Clean, comfortable bedding, decent breakfast. Would stay there again. All clerks were super friendly.
Cons: That the evening clerk was only one there, Sat. 7/20/19. She was super nice keeping her warmth & friendliness while checking many people in. There were at least 2 teenage softball leagues & many parents along with other families plus the phone kept ringing. She was great & deserves a pay raise.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was very nice and very clean.
Cons: The bed wasn’t super comfy. The location is pretty strange, but was close to lots of shops. I guess it depends what you’re going to Grand Rapids for. Their breakfast area was under Reno’s so the breakfast option was breakfast burritos or a few other things that you could heat up in the microwave... it was okay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Liked variety of breakfast and hours served. Loved size of room (huge!). Cleanliness was great throughout hotel, staff very nice and accommodating.
Cons: TV in bedroom stopped working last night; pool and spa were closed for mechanical reason and elevator was getting worse (very loud grinding noise when it got to 3rd floor). Bathroom layout clumsy.
7.5 Good
Pros: The size of the room was excellent.
Cons: It was noisy in our room. We didn’t have a shampoo in our room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very filling. Bed was super comfy!!
Cons: We had a king suite, which was beautiful however when the barn style door of the bathroom was closed, guests in our room could see me in the bathroom! There is too big of a gap between the wall and the door causing a privacy issue. We went downstairs to use the toilet if friends were in the room and put a sheet on the end of the door over the gap when we showered, so we had privacy. Room was beautiful though and well thought out, other than the bathroom door
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Customer service. Comfortable accommodations.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Appeared to have been recently remodeled.
Cons: Coffee service area in the breakfast room was very cramped for space, could only accommodate one person at a time.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Font desk girl was super nice and room was very clean!
7.5 Good
Pros: newly built and fixtures are clean. Quiet. Air-conditioning is good
Cons: there was a snack bag left on the floor when we walked in the room. Their stuffs should be more careful when cleaning the guest room.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: I was not happy to find out that I count get credit for this two night stay with Best Western Rewards due to using booking.com
