The price!!!! It was a little to expensive for the time of the season and the type of car I rented and how there is no set price to rent a car. I recommend my nephew to rent a car from there too and he got a smaller car, for fewer days and more expensive than my rental.

Avoid! Mosquitoes in waiting lounge. Spent 1.5 hrs going back and forth with them and getting bit. Did the typical scam where they try to convince you that you need to buy insurance even though it was already in the rental contract. Tried to charge $400 for insurance and a $2500 deductible. Just went to Sixt and got the same car for $10/day and a $300 deductible with no extra insurance.

Luxury SUV

I was not expecting a 700 dollar charge and a 2000 deposit to be asked for. We are traveling with plans so what else do you do but pay for it. This was one sneaky booking and it’s happened twice with Kayak now. You guys need to partner and have better transparency with charges and what to expect! The staff did their best so no knock on them. But just not an ok surprise. Thank goodness that the drop off was fine because I took pictures of everything as the car was damaged but as I heard others in the lobby I was not the only having the same experience.

I book the car rental throughout Kayak. That was quick and easy. Once you get there they make you pay insurance for the car. The lowest insurance they have is $800. Which is ridiculous for 5 days. Then on top of that they make you give at deposit of $1,300. Stay away from this place.

At arrival to car rental location they Didn't respect the price I already paid and wanted to charge me 4 times the price I seen and already paid for online.

Very nice people. They take advantage tourists. Even if you went on priceline to get a price deduction for a car rental they don’t agree to it and give a price hike and make you pay are large amount for car insurance. I’m never renting from them ever again

Cons:

They didn’t have any car available at the time I reached the car rental office. They even told me that my only solution was to go to other car rental companies, however same day reservations are usually more expensive. I found another place nearby from the company Mex Rent a Car, however I had to Pay more than double the price of what I reserved on Payless. I will never choose Payless again.

If I had known they expected a $13,000 security deposit on the car I would’ve never rented from them. I was grateful I didn’t pay in advance that way I can walk away from the rental do not recommend

Cons:

I was not given an option to decline insurance coverage not needed or wanted. My reservation would not have been honored and they would have declined car rental. I had 8 pieces of luggage and 94 and 92 year olds with me. I had no choice but to accept very expensive insurance, not needed as my credit card covers it. Also, no car available on location for me and I had to wait a full hour for the car. I was lied to, being told it was being cleaned. I walked over to the cleaning bay to check and no caravan was there. I asked again and was told it was a few more minutes while they finished cleaning it. I confronted them and explained there was no car there and to give me an honest answer. They finally said it was coming from a different location. They still had to clean it when it arrived. Poor customer service and dishonest.

I have rented cars many times. And this time was the worst I have ever experienced. I had a reservation scheduled with pricing set per email of $300 US dollars and I was not given the price giving on the email. They required their insurance and deposit added. Insurance was over 1000k US dollars Deposit another 1000k US dollars. Told them that I already had insurance that covered international rentals and they said they didn’t accept. How does this even happen and even allowed. Seems more like a scam. Was not the only one there with the same issue.

Cons:

The site we chose to pick up our car had a sign taped to its door instructing us to call a number. We waited for 20 minutes for someone to appear, who brought us to a different location 15 minutes away in the rental car we would be renting. They shouldn’t have made us go out of our way by advertising a false pick up location, it added unnecessary time and confusion to the whole experience. It was very pricy and there was a 4.5% hidden fee for using a credit card when we returned the car.
