10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view looking into the fjord from our living room window was spectacular! The house is located in a private location at the end of a small dead-end road. We liked the goat farm atmosphere. We could easily walk into the small village to visit the small grocery store or cafe. The local goat cheese was delicious! Flåm is only about a 20 min drive away. We liked the private, quiet atmosphere of Undredal better than Flåm. There are great hiking opportunities with several trail heads in the village.
Cons: The toilet in cabin 3 was running all the time, wasting water. Everything else was great!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice house, fully equipped. Nice view over the fjord.
Cons: Too bad we did not get the sauna to work
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location we were lucky to have brilliant weather the whole time and swimming in the fjord after breakfast was a real treat.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Unbelievable location. Just next to fjord. Very spacious place.
Cons: Getting there is hard. But calling host can arrange you a pickup and a drop off. Host and her staff is incredible !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best view in the world! Very quiet and peaceful place. The owners are extremely welcoming and very nice. Would highly recommend !
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing views of the fjord. Very peaceful. Well equiped cabins.
Cons: A bit expensive, but then again offers an exceptional experience.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing typical Norwegian house in an unforgettable view to the fiords. It had everything we needed.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: What a lovely stay at this place, beautiful apartment that can easily fits 6 to 8 persons. Wonderful view on the fjord from the accomodation.
Cons: Cleaning was great but could be even better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Indoor/outdoor casual cafe on the water has excellent food, wine, cheese etc. We had heard about the Undredal Brown Cheese, and they have it for purchase - quite amazing, and a slice of heaven. Our dinners were excellent (salmon and goat stew), and our cabin overlooking the water was a quite large 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath. Picture windows and a deck for all the fjord viewing you could ever wish for. Full kitchen/living room/dining room. Bring your toiletries though as they are not provided. There is also a small grocery store a few doors down from the cafe on your way up to the cabins (a 5 minute walk).
7.0 Good
Pros: Stunning location. Cannot be beaten. Amazing views. Beautifully quiet.
Cons: Beds were not comfortable. Toilet was broken.

6.0 Good
Pros: Great location and outstanding views.
Cons: Staff not that helpful. Cafe overpriced and not that good.
7.5 Good
Pros: Amazing location with a balcony overlooking the fjord. Fantastic shower!
Cons: Comfy seating a little cramped for 4. Bijous bedrooms!
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is excellent.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: location is goo
Cons: if they arrange breakfast is better
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Balcony view of the fiord from our room. Could sit here for hours watching such an magic sight. Clean well equiped kitchen and comfortable beds.
Cons: Double bunk in one room awkward for older people.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is the best location to stay in Flam in my opinion. It is right on the water and each room has a balcony room (I would request 2nd floor) and a short walk on the dock/far enough away from the rest of the ongoings of where the ferry drops everyone off. I stayed a couple nights in Flam at different places and this location is by far the best.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Way more charming than luxury hotels around and very confortable. It seems that it was by far the best place to stay in Flam. The view on the fjord was amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding view.
Cons: Nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: It has the most beautiful view than the other hotels. The fjord is just right in front of our balcony. You get the best view from this property.
Cons: Rocky walk path to the property is killing us who is travelling with huge luggages. Hope the staff could be a bit more friendly.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and beautiful view from balcony
Cons: No tissues, no soaps or shampoos in the bathroom
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The apartment has a perfect view facing to the Fjords. It’s quiet and peaceful to ensure a good sleep overnight. The apartment closes to the train station and cruise terminal within walking distance. You can cook in the kitchen.
Cons: I found a cooking pot in the kitchen has not been cleaned. The receptionist changed a new one for me immediately.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location was great. Same as the room. Other than the unfriendly staff everthing was good.
Flåm Hostel & Cabins - Flåm - Building
3
8.7 Excellent (1,891 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Flam, Flåm Hostel & Cabins is a 1-minute drive from Flam Marina and 6 minutes from Flam Church. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location close to the train station, if you have limited budget, this would be most recommend hostel in Flåm. We brought instant noodles by our own and spent great time in public kitchen.
Cons: Shower is limited 6 minutes with one coin (will give you one free for each person while you check-in, no tower, you have to bring by your own or to rent it) and most terrible thing is no hot water, I guess it's because there're too many people took shower before to run out of hot water, you have to go the shower as early as possible.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very warm and helpful, great location away from the crowds by the dock, interesting mix of people, mainly Chinese tourists, in the comunual kitchen
Cons: Beds were hard, comforters too warm for weathet
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very good place to stay in when visiting Flåm - 3 minutes walk and you're in the center and haven. We stayed in the hostel part of camping - had own kitchen with full equipment, there is also an oven. Beds may be a little short and narrow, but it's traveling/hostel style :) If we were in Flåm next time we will stay there for sure. Takk for det! :) Vi sees neste gang :)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is amazing, very cozy and nice territory, room was very clean.
Cons: Bathroom and WC is located it separate building; you get free access to shower only once per 24h and only 6 mins!! For more you have to pay, I think it is ridiculous.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean Hostel at Flaam Camping, Toilets and showers get checked continously. The Place is family owned and run by the owners, who take care of hostel and camping.
Cons: A guest who dried his clothes in the dorm and didn´1 use the (free provided) bed Linen, but this is not the Hostel´s fault, because whe was told 2 times that it is not allowed.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Having our own room with a private bathroom. Having a table and chairs in our room.
Cons: Having to pay for a towel. It was more difficult than we expected getting up into the top bunks. (We were all women in our sixties and now know to not stay where there are bunk beds.)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: For the value of money, it's the best stay in Flam. The other hotels were so overpriced. Flam Hostel is basic but sufficiently comfortable for a night's stay. Bathroom is clean and modern. Did not expect a hostel to be this high quality probably because we never stayed in a hostel before. All the other hotels in Flam were fully booked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had a twin room with a private bathroom, and it was nicer than I expected. Everything felt clean and new, quiet and comfortable. It's walking distance from the ferry landing, with signs leading the way. I didn't use the shared kitchen, but it appeared clean and accessible.
Cons: They don't offer breakfast, but I knew that in advance, so no big deal. I went to another hotel close by and paid for their buffet, which worked out nicely.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The shared kitchen in the hostel was well stocked and ran smoothly with all the groups of people. Our room was really quiet and well insulated. The location was an easy 5 minute walk from the train station and ferry terminal. The campground was lovely and green and well maintained. It was handy being able to store our suitcases in the campground office while we went for a fjord cruise.
7.0 Good
Pros: We got a room, it worked, we could sleep. Exceptionally clean.
Cons: Extremely basic room for huge amount of money. no soap. no towels. Had to make our own beds.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good environment. Perfect location. Cozy room.
Cons: The valve to control the shower temperature in our room was broken so we could only take a boiling hot shower. It would be better if the hostel could arrange specific bed for everyone. We were free to choose our own bed in a room so I put my stuffs on a bed that I wanted and left the hostel. I came back to realise that my hostel roommate had moved my belongings from the bed to another bed!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: the room and the bathroom are very clean. kitchen is well maintained. the surrounding is so beautiful. distance to ferry and train(bus) very close.
Cons: nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just fine - near to everything in Flam
7.0 Good
Pros: the breakfast is nice, the hotel provides microwave that could cook some easy food by yourself. The staff is friendly, nice view.
Cons: 1. The door in our room is difficult to open, need to push really hard. 2. The lift broke when we were there. 3. Not relevant to the hotel, but Flåm is full of tourists during the daytime. So if you are looking for somewhere quiet with fjord view, probably not Flåm.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location and comfort
Cons: Can’t think of anything!
5.5 Okay
Pros: Excellent location, very close to the fjordsafari
Cons: Sticky floor, expected a cleaner place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Thanks for your kind staff and awesome service.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is great! Property is good if you have a good view to the fjord.
Cons: A little pricey
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and hospitality
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great with many hot and cold choices. The location in Flam was spectacular. Also, we were given an upgraded room which had a balcony with a lovely view over the water, which included a view of the Cruise liner that arrived outside our window in the morning (see photo). The room was very comfortable.
Cons: A staff member accidentally opened our room door after midnight while we were in bed. We received apologies and it was a genuine mix up but a little disturbing at the time.
Vatnahalsen Høyfjellshotell - Myrdal - Building

9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is an exceptional place in a magical location, though off the beaten path. I liked it so much last summer I came back. The staff are unpretentious but totally helpful and accommodating. This has a country ambiance with five star views, excellent hiking and ample, delicious food. A hidden gem on the Flåm railway. You’d be lucky to stay here!!
Cons: I wouldn’t change a thing
7.7 Good
Pros: Very clean. Food was fantastic. Staff were helpful. Also, could not beat the view. If you enjoy small towns and great views, this is the place for you.
Cons: The price was pretty high considering we had to share a bathroom and shower with others on the floor. Since the town is so small, they definitely have you trapped for their $35 dinner, but the food was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and view. Definitely the best stay of my trip at Norway. You can do the Flam zipline right next to the hotel. Nice staff with big smile.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice hotel. I discovered I could rent a bike and ride to Flam which I did and which was one of the highlights of my trip. The hotel staff was very helpful with this.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, great dinner and breakfast, breath taking view from the mountain top of the entire valley.
Cons: The room is small and the entire property is bit old - but I like the style and decoration

8.8 Excellent
Pros: the location and surounding
Cons: the breakfast was simple and not well prepared
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming Inn - small and old fashioned, but very comfortable, in the most beautiful natural setting with great hiking trails steps away. Complimentary waffles, jam, cream, and tea and coffee when we arrived. The most breathtaking view from the large hotel room windows. Newer bathroom. Delicious, extensive breakfast!
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: If i was to plan a wedding, it would be at this location.. it was absolutely magical to be in the fjord, in a beautiful hotel. We loved every minute.
Cons: the bathtub in the historic section was a bit wonky... and i would have appreciated some sort of safety device there as well. The sides of the tub were so high, i had some difficulty maneuvering in and out.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good location and environment
Cons: Old furniture
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect and the balcony and the position of the room on the second floor Breakfast was great!
Cons: Design is a bit old and it is too expensive We didn’t have hot water... lucky for us it was hot enough to get a cold shower
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old hotel in a beautiful location. Great food options!
Cons: Right in front of the train station, no quiet enjoyment what so ever.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The rose in the garden
Cons: It was a bad decision to spend in night in this hotel The room was very hot and there was no privacy at all as the curtain was not closing fully Wich allows every body outside seeing you.. It was a hard night we couldn't sleep peacefully. Also the toilet was smiling very bad and the WiFi signal was very week. The restaurant was not clean and u have to pay for ordering omlete and caputchino. I complained to the Manger who couldn't offer any help. Honestly i am wondering why they charged me 2950 NOK.... Wich is too much for this kind of properties. I am requesting booking.com to claim refunding my money. Not recommended
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient, excellent, excellent breakfast. Friendly and efficient staff, very gracious and accommodating in all regards.
Cons: Was delighted with all aspects of the stay.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: No toiletries in the bathroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Only 150m distance to take railway train and cruise.Breakfast is good.
Cons: The price is much higher.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 1. Early check in is allowed at 11am. 2. Good view from the room 214. 3. An extra bed arranged in a balcony room. 4. Good breakfast included and dinner buffet at a reasonable price
Cons: Would be much better if there is a mini fridge
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: The worst hotel we have ever known in Norway! We were stung with an unreasonable price, for an outdated small room with a shower that is flooded with no air conditioning. We will never return to this hotel.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Near the station, lovely views and pretty grounds. Breakfast was locally sourced. The rooms were clean. Bathroom had underfloor heating.
Cons: The whole hotel is dated. The staff seem to be resting on their laurels as this is the main hotel for the resort so there is no competition. Breakfast was basic, no decaf and pay 45 Krone for a latte. The shower naff and was so low only a child could get under it and the toilet seat was cheap plastic.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, excellent location on the fjord
Cons: A bit bigger room with better sleeping conditions for the third person would've made it perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything perfect!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: - Beautiful location. Our room was right on the water, overlooking the mountains. A short drive away from the Prest and Aurlandsdalen hikes (or, if hiking isn’t your thing, the Stegastein viewpoint). - Some of the best food we had in Norway at their adjacent restaurant for dinner. - Comfortable, spacious room with great amenities. - Good breakfast with lots of options.
Cons: - It was TOO quiet at night. No sound of birds or waves or wind. It was difficult to fall asleep. - Definitely on the pricey side—even for Norway. The restaurant was also very pricey, but the quality for both room and food might be worth the splurge. - Check-out was just a key drop-off on reception’s desk. Could have been a bit more secure.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great view and great placed on the fjord. Apartment was well equiped.
Cons: Value for money could be improved through better services. Prices in the restaurant quite high comparing to other places in Norway.
6.0 Good
Cons: Was hard to find staff for check-in and check-out. Bathroom floor covers with water when using shower.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It’s in excellent location, few minutes walking you will find shops especially grocery shop. Surrounding is peaceful and very beautiful. We stayed in a cottage right to fjord, very lovely layout and cozy. Own parking place included in the price is super nice. The host prepared baby crib for our son which is very thoughtful. Other things are more like self-service.
Cons: The size is compact but manageable. Shower gel would be better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting with gorgeous view of the Fjord
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in one of the waterfront cabins for four people and it was absolutely perfect! Comfy beds, space to relax and our own lovely deck to sit and marvel at the beautiful scenery!
Cons: Nothing!
7.0 Good
Pros: Very nice location, large room and bathroom, very clean, very nice view towards the fjord Nice surroundings Free parking in front of the hotel Breakfast in a nice and familial little house next to the hotel
Cons: Fresh breakfast but limited choice, « Norvegian » style
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel is beautiful location. All staff were super friendly and helpful. Definitely stay in Aurland instead of Flam. We stayed in each town for 1 night and Aurland was so much better.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very wonderful hotel and peaceful place.
7.0 Good
Pros: I liked the great location just on the water, the flavor of tradition and simple, "old style" ways still present there. Excellent hospitality, extremely nice hosts. To the warmth of the place contribued the beautiful, friendly cat of the owners.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely fantastic location, very friendly staff & cottage we stayed in was having good enough facilities.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was great! We stayed so close to the sea that we actually could open the living room window and fish:)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect. Right in the middle of the NiN tour. The hotel is old, but well maintained. The restaurant was excellent! The staff was super friendly. I got extensive emails telling me how to catch the bus to continue the NiN on the next day. And the views!! Seriously the best in the world!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Stalheim was amazing! It felt genuine and historic. I imagine it is just how it has always been. The grounds were beautiful with many nearby hikes. The view was incredible and I felt so at home in the guest lounge. There were multiple fireplaces. The staff was very kind and helpful. There is a buffet that has so many nicely prepared items. My room was the cutest room I've ever stayed in in my life. Straight out of another era. I enjoyed the big antique bathtub.
Cons: At some times the hotel and restaurant became very crowded with tourists that arrived on a bus. I found some of them rude at the buffet. This was not the hotel's fault. Other times, it felt like there were only a few guests. I preferred those times.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located on the top of a hill with an excellent view of the valley. The breakfast is good. The hot menu of the buffet has shifted too much towards oriental food but not original.
6.8 Good
Pros: The view!
Cons: No options to eat except at the hotel's restaurant. Incredibly expensive!
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous views of course, some hiking options nearby, and it's a way to break the NiN trip in two days if you don't want to do it all in one long day. Rooms are old, but clean and quaint. Our large window offered very good view of the valley below. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Cons: Large tourist groups can get loud and ruin the peace. We thought the buffet was okay (both dinner and breakfast). It wasn't necessarily a problem with quality, it just want to our taste. Everything seemed extra salty.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Boiling hot, inadequate ventilation, dated rooms, no warm welcome, courtesy or care from reception staff.
6.8 Good
Pros: Only the fantastic location
Cons: It was at the lowest level of a hotel these days. Not even a ventilator on an exceptional hot day.so we left after one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We travelled to a lot of places in a lot of different countries but we agreed that this was one of the best if not the best location for a hotel ever. The breathtaking view right from the room window towards the valley was worth just all the money. And then the lobby with all the antiques, the old cottage museum outside, the dinner bufet, the excelet service and great staff. The room was great, loved the design; bathroom was nice and even had floor heating, we just discovered that during last day... :)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very very nice view. We can feel nature (Some hiking course they can offer (nice waterfall)). Bus stop in front of hotel.
Cons: For public transportation user, they can inform "hot to get hotel" more. For instance, only public transportation to get hotel is bus, but they have only some per day. So if we don't know this, we can loose time easily (we didn't know it, and waited 3.5hours at Voss station). Also to go to Flaam or Gudvangen, not so many buses. * If we know it, it will not be the problem.
6.8 Good
Pros: Hotel is located on the top of the mountain. There are many trail around the hotel.
Cons: This hotel is little bit old.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Amazing view ! The hotel was fine. Clean room. Dated decoration but that was charming.
Cons: Food was not good. Neither breakfast nor diner. We tried the menu the first night and the cod with risotto was very salty. The second night we had the buffet and frankly NOTHING was even acceptable ! And to add insult to injury it was expensive . So stay away from the restaurant
7.5 Good
Pros: View is amazing
Cons: Doesn't look like its been refurbished since the 60's

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was wonderful. Also the breakfast was excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I arrived at the Flam Train station in the evening time when buses were not running. All of the taxi services refused to pick me up. When I called the Gudvangen Fjordtell, Olaf was quick to offer assistance. He sent one of the hotel workers to come pick me up from the train station, free of charge. The entire staff is very generous and accommodating. Also - the hotel is conveniently located at the Gudvangen port and is surrounded by beautiful landscape! I would highly recommend anyone visiting the Flam/Gudvangen area to stay at this hotel!!!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay at the apartment. The rooms were neat and well equipped. The breakfast is basic. We loved our stay and the kids enjoyed too.we wished we stayed there for a longer time .
Cons: None
7.0 Good
Pros: After all the tourists leave in that evening, you get place top yourself
Cons: No privacy. The accommodation is open for the general public to walk around and even peer into your room. We even had people sitting outside our room on the chairs!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location
Cons: Nothing to dislike
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location ,staff was ok.
Cons: B ‘ fast had very limited choices. Almost nothing for vegetarians
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Far prefer gudvangen to other areas like Flam or Voss. Great location for kayaking, hiking or to do the main fjord four. This is the only hotel there and very small town. Tons of tour groups come through in the morning and afternoon but it is nice and quiet in the evenings. The staff was very accommodating and helpful and all spoke great English. Had a fire going in the dining hall and the euro cup on for everyone to watch. The room itself was superb. Love the Viking decor and grass covered roof.
Cons: Wifi did not work Food available later in the evening (when my boat arrived) was very limited Note that it is light most of the day in Norway in the summer and the window doesn't have a covering
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in one of the apartments which were clean and comfortable, with a lovely terrace. Location is fantastic to go kayaking on the fjord and to the viking village, and gets very peaceful in the evening. Hotel staff were very helpful. Good transport links.
Cons: Breakfast in general was disappointing - limited choice, tables squashed close together and staff not as friendly as hotel staff.
6.8 Good
Pros: Lovely fjord. We did half a day kayaking here, it was wonderful.
Cons: We were in a self catering apt. The three big problems were: - Curtains were not worth having up. They kept out no light at all. Morning comes early in Norway and so I woke up early too. - Inside noise. Terrible noise damping in the building we could hear every footstep the people upstairs took, every door opening or closing. - External noise. The apt was opposite a small hotel. As guests came and left the hotel in the evening / early in the morning we heard every word of their conversations like they were in our room. Bonus - Breakfast was average at best.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location for one night so we could take a day-long kayaking trip. It was an especially nice location after the ferries stopped running for the day.
Cons: It was a warm evening and it was very difficult to ventilate the room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: In the heart of the UNESCO world heritage tasty breakfast
Cons: no table inside the appartement to eat on, only a outdoor wooden table; pray the weather be fine! otherwise, great under the sun!
7.0 Good
Pros: This hotel is set in a sublime location. The journey to and from the hotel, whether it be by boat or bus, is awesome. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The fish café chef and the waitress were a delight, as were the meals prepared for us (they were attempting to close for the day but remained open so that we could have dinner there).
Cons: Norway is an expensive place to visit and we knew the accommodation would be basic (standard room) and the cost high, especially given it was mid-summer. The whole establishment looks to be in need of some serious refurbishment and an injection of funds to do it.

Pros: Over night stay. Cabin was clean and comfortable. The trumble bed was real nice. Plenty of eletric outlets. Price was good.
Cons: Had to pay for shower
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The views out the front door were amazing. The staff was extremely welcoming and we had a great stay and a short drive to Flåm. If you travel to Norway, I recommend the campground experience.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The view, and the cabin were lovely
Cons: Having to hire bed sheets at this price seemed strange!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: lovely cottage and beautiful nature
Cons: it is a long walk. very narrow sidewalk and lots of stones. better go with cars or backpack. not friendly to suitcase with wheels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breathtaking location! Charming, clean, and simple. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Cons: Nothing- perfect for folks who appreciate nature and the simple things in life.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very close to gudvangen, good value for money, stunning location.
Cons: Sometimes there was a wait for the shower and toilet but it's not an issue, just something to be aware of. Similarly there's no running water in the cabins, also not a problem just be aware you need to wash up in a central area if you wish to cook in your cabin.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great cabin for the five of us. Lovely veranda with a nice view. Beds comfortable, although the mattresses on the upper floor were quite thin which wasn’t a problem because we weren’t 6 so we put the mattresses one above the other. We only stayed one night and bed linen/towels/cleaning were paid per stay so it was rather expensive - it just fit better into our travel plans. We were allowed to leave our packed car on the grounds after check-out, which was great because we took the ferry in the late afternoon. We would have loved to stay longer.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cute little cabin with amazing surroundings.
Cons: The wifi was so bad, it didn’t even reach the cabin. Also, for 230 euros for 2 nights I didn’t expect I needed to clean it myself.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The view. One of the best places to wake up and have a coffee and just enjoy what you see!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Close to motorway, friendly owners, clean comfortable large rooms ,food excellent.

7.5 Good
Pros: Sitting areas, view, quiet and peaceful, decor and garden.
Cons: Four power points in room didnt work. No menu for dinner. When l asked what meat was on menu was told pork but clearly some form of poultry .
7.5 Good
Pros: The matress/boxspring was super comfy!! The bed night sleep I have had on this holiday. The Wonderland brand is super and I want to buy one at home as well! The sofa area downstairs with view on the fjord in also super! Great place with tables to play boardgames or just relax with a coffee. Excellent and super friendly staff near reception.
Cons: Our room had the worst view ever. We were in the basement with view on a wall. Luckily we still had light. The food was ok, but not special and the desert was very small. The waitress dropped three times the knives when cleaning the tables and was not very helpful. Butter I ordered never arrived.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Cosy place in quiet street just a few minutes walk from Flåm center. Beautiful view over the fjord. The personnel at the reception very friendly. The dinner was included and even though I forgot to tell beforehand that I am vegetarian, the cook could quickly prepare me a vegetarian dinner.
Cons: Naturally, the room with the view to the fjord would have been better, but you can't always win :) The personnel at the breakfast room could have been more active in cleaning the tables and checking what is missing in the breakfast table (I had to ask for more coffee, bread etc).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel provide the basic requirements with an excellent view to the fjord. Dinner is good with 3 courses. Good wi-fi speed provided. Just a few minutes walk to Flåm pier and railway station. Polite and friendly staff was a bonus.
Cons: No TV provided but the fjord view was worth to see instead.

Pros: - great location in the moutains - cabin was cosy
Cons: - the kitchen could have more mugs for breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We were staying 6 nights from 28 july in cottage (6 pers.) nr.24 and the view from the veranda was amazing with sunny, cloudy and misty weather. The cottage contains a sauna and bath. We also used the washing machine (2,5 week trip through Scandinavia). The people are very friendly and helpfull! Beautifull waterfalls in a 15 min. walk nearby. The trips to Flam, Viksoyri and surroundings, Bakka and the SogneFjord were very nice and the walk to Nali was also super!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The cabin was very clean, beds were comfortable, location was perfect! Bjorn was super sweet and helpful, showed us the best places/hiking trails around the area!
Cons: Wish the shower curtain was longer so the water doesn't go everywhere, but other than that it was perfect!
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Old interior. Only few kitchen utensils. Not very clean.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, location. Outstanding views. Only 30 min from Flåm and Voss. Peaceful and beautiful. Spacious clean cabin, self contained with all facilities and chattels. Friendly informative owner. We arrived at least an hour before check in and Andries opened the cabin for us. If you want some peace and quiet then this is the place for you.
Cons: I liked everything

Pros: Our cabin had a beautiful view. This location really offered us the best of what the region had to offer. Plus the cabin had many comforts like sauna and Jacuzzi tub. Kids loved the swings!
Cons: The cabin lacked kitchen towels and dish soap. Other than that it had everything we could have needed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything else about this place. Wonderful views, amazing owner, perfect layout.
Cons: Just the shower curtain was short and no matter how you directed the shower head you'll always have water leaking into the bathroom space.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was amazing. We loved the surroundings.
Cons: The room was pretty small and unfortunately with no table/shelf. However, for just one night we spent there, it was enough.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location was very nice. The breakfast was good.
Cons: The room was listed as with Air Condition, but it did not have. The bathroom had the shower in the middle with just a curtain to close around you. Obviously all the floor got wet and we had to use the towels to dry the floor. I do not know if all the bathrooms are like this or if we were assigned one room for people with dissabilities, but I do not like to have to clean the floor after I have showered and are ready to sleep.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Just the price. All other hotels in the area are extremely expensive
Cons: Bed matrixes were very bad. Broken springs. All with sore back. They didn’t make the beds neither clean the room. Small variety for breakfast. Cold meat was a little bit dry. Very bad smell of cow dung in the surroundings. It seemed more like a high standing hostel.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room: Comfortable, no more no less Breakfast: Very good, good variety, tasty, clean. Cleanliness: Very clean Value for money: A little bit pricey. Location: Good. Parking: Plenty and free.
Cons: The room is small the bathroom is big...
7.0 Good
Pros: booked this place only because nothing else was available in a close proximity to Flam.
Cons: had to leave very early to Flam, arranged with hotel the night before to have a breakfast box, only to find out that there is nobody at the reception at 6 am when breakfast box was supposed to be ready. restaurant and reception were closed, nobody to talk to. left without breakfast box.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice place to stay. Good cooking facilities.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The staff was nice and friendly although a little overwhelmed handling the large tour group that she seems lost when handling my check in.
Cons: The hotel didn't seem to know that I was coming. When I checked in she seems very surprised and rushed over to set up the room for me. I walked into room while she was putting on the linens for the bed. Maybe because there was a huge tour group but there is nothing much left at breakfast, and the breakfast looks very simple.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Offered to make me a free sandwich when I arrived late
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, convenient location

6.8 Good
Pros: Read below the full story.
Cons: Pay attention when you book this hostel! The images in the pictures on booking (of the white little houses) are only half of the hostel. The other half is located in an old barn 100m away, which are nowhere near as nice as the white houses. My partner and I had a terrible check-in experience with a very rude receptionist, which assigned us one of the other rooms (mouldy, very old, never refurbished), and was extremely unhelpful when I went back to try and discuss it. I was not able to say my issue with the room because she kept interrupting me, saying that she doesn't agree with me and things like: "Do you have a bed? Do you have a bathroom? What is your problem then?". Thankfully ALL of the other members of staff were absolutely lovely; when I went back to my partner to tell him what had happened, another lady working in the hostel at the time asked me what happened, apologised and talked to the owner in order for us to be moved to a better room. The room we got moved to was LOVELY, a true representation of the images on booking.com (which, with this price for a hostel, was a relief to have!). Later on we saw there were other clients in the room we were originally assigned to, and we felt bad for them (the hostel was full by this point). So if you book this place please REQUEST a room in one of the white houses-trust me on this!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The shared house had everything you wanted in a stunning location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The location, the room was lovely and comfortable, the common area was nice, and there were sheep outside! Everything was clean and staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again!
Cons: Just the super small staircase.
6.8 Good
Pros: The location is great - clean bed linen, friendly staff
Cons: There was not much food available, which I understood. The stairs up to the second floor is not terribly safe.
7.4 Good
Pros: Nice staff, beautiful property outside of town, quiet.
Cons: If you have a car, it's no problem, but it's about a half mile walk from the town. Also, they don't provide towels, but you can rent them for an extra fee.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This Hostel is in the most amazing location - just being slightly outside Flam proper and many of the buildings are historic and over a 100 years old. It's a hostel so that is what you need to expect - rooms small, beds comfortable, people around you nice, shared baths for most. A huge benefit for me - was that they had lots of lovely bikes to rent - which allowed me easy access back to the main area of Flam (about a ten minute walk other wise) and the surrounding areas. I was comfortable and grateful to have a comfy bed and going back to my college wandering days was not as hard as it could have been.
Cons: A shared room was all that was available - I was worried I would disturb others - but it all seemed to work out fine!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice white farm buildings about 15 min walk from Flåm. I liked being away from the tourists in Flåm. I wouldn’t recommend it for people that aren’t comfortable with the hostel style accommodations: shared bathroom and kitchen. It looks like they also rent bikes from here.
6.3 Good
Pros: Cute and charming as it is on a farm. House is a traditional Norwegian house.
Cons: Location is not the best and also annoying if you are roomed on the top floor as stairs are narrow so lugging up your luggage can be tricky.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Like a 15 min walk out of town (in direction to the waterfall) which meant you were away from the hustel and bustle of the cruise ships and had a quite place in the middle of a farm with views all around including the waterfall and animals. Kitchens well equipped and free laundry use. Had good quality bikes for hire at good prices
Cons: Not really enough bathrooms for number of people. Made it a bit hard that reception wasn’t open at times (like when you wanted to hire a bike).
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was very good
Cons: The extra bed was very litlle
6.8 Good
Pros: Location, friendly helpful receptionist
Cons: Lack of facilities, shower on a different floor, steep narrow hazardous steps to 2nd floor
4.5 Okay
Pros: Downstairs publc area comfortable. Short 10 min walk to tòwn. Bed and bedding good. Quiet area. Nice bathrooms and showeers
Cons: Everything too sparse. No hooks in bedroom to hang clothes orwet towels. No garbage can in room. No salt and peppeerin kitchen

Pros: Very nice staff
8.5 Excellent
Cons: The dishwasher was out of order and full with dirty dishes
5.0 Okay
Pros: Free parking. Didn’t meet the staff, but was easy to check-in.
Cons: One bathroom shared between 4 bedrooms. The room and beds were extremely small. No hair dryer.
6.8 Good
Pros: The location was wonderful. We made a lovely dinner using facilities and had the dinner outside by the outdoor table. We had a really good time there.
Cons: It was a bit difficult when it came to using toilet and bathroom as there was only one for 7 people. You can imagine we had to wait for each other quite a bit. Also the beds were not the most comfortable but it did work for one night. It wouldnt be ideal for a whole week! We had two houses booked - one was with 2 x double rooms and one with 4 beds room. The double rooms were super tiny and beds were quite small as well. So have that in mind. Both properties had the same one toilet & shower room for the whole house. Also, there was no staff there just keys in the door. :)
4.5 Okay
Pros: Nice waterfalls close by
Cons: It is not for travelers without car. Owner did not offer any help on sorting out local transportation
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The kitchen was really great. Quiet place.
Cons: Only 1 bathroom/toilet but it was large.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location and the cottage.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, close drive to Flam
Cons: The extra charge for towels seemed excessive
4.3 Okay
Pros: Wi-Fi was adequate for email but too slow for videos.
Cons: Pay for towels??? 10 guests for 1 Water Closet??? Water covering 1/3 of Water Closet floor after a showering guest did not clean up. Guest cooking meals at 2130. Bed mattress sliding off bed whenever I rolled over, trying to sleep.
