Room was fine for overnight stay as household was moved. Air was on and functioning versus other places leaving it off in empty rooms. They called as I arrived 15 minutes after booking as they don't rent to local persons without a reason. Seemed odd as many local parents may want to escape or have family in for a short visit.
Very quite and breakfast was really good and fresh. The ladies that worked the breakfast were very helpful and polite. At check in when we arrived it took both clerks at the front desk 10 mins to acknowledge the line that was filling up. They both seemed occupied with one couple that was at the desk. They were a little slow as malasses in assisting. Almost like it was a bother that there were customers. My check in papers said the room would be ready at 2:00pm and the clerk didn't look at me stated my room wasn't ready check in is at 3. Meanwhile it was 2:52pm. Other than the first 20 mins. It was good for the price I payed
They treat their guests very well. Free refreshments/great breakfast. Rooms were very quaint/nice. Because it was an older building, it did get a little bit hot. Our bed broke and they moved us to another room where AC was not working, but they moved us back to our original room after they fixed the bed that afternoon.
Very friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Great breakfast. Wine and cheese every evening. The plumbing and footsteps of guests are loud.
The breakfast was delicious!! Our room was not the best. Bed was old and the room furnishings were not in keeping with the rest of the place.
Hosts were very amiable. Great breakfast. Room not comfortable. Too small for even one person. AC did not work for me although host said it was working. I spent just one night but had no problem getting a refund for 2nd night.
This was the most amazing place I've ever stayed! And that includes Europe!Hotel Employees were the perfect hosts. You felt truly like guests in their home. I didn't want to leave! There was NOTHING I didn't like
Decor, comfort, quiet, attention to every detail a guest would want.
This was an emergency stop due to car trouble on vacation. Rest of Hendersonville sold out due to holiday weekend. This was literally the last room we could find and paid 3 what it was worth. Was dirty. Lazy housekeeping. Found ants and public hair in sheets. No elevator (hard to take a family and luggage upstairs
Clean rooms & pool Parking can cause you a issue after dark.
I liked that the hotel had hardwood floors, which is better than carpet. There were hairs in the bathroom sick and in the bath tub
Breakfast could have been better stocked.
not much at all.... no clock in room. dirty bathroom. mediocre breakfast. NOT recommended.....
The price was ok & the concierge was nice There was a beer bottle in the elevator & the room smelled funny
Dog friendly, Clean, Friendly staff, Basic breakfast (oatmeal, OJ, hot tea...) No receptacle for owners to pick up after their pets. Next to the walk area there was an unseemly line of dog bags stacked against the building. Why is there not a trash can? Encourage people to pick up after their pets and improve the atmosphere for those staying.
Close and convient to restaurants and major roadways! Bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was helpful and check in was quick and easy. Seemed like a lot of people wondering around in the parking lot areas, but this may have been due to maintenance being conducted durning our stay. Appears dingy on the outside, but is rather nice on the inside.
It was a room with a comfortable bed. The promised internet was weak when it worked at all. The breakfast was terrible - cereal and store bought waffles. The microwave in our room did not work well (the plate would not turn. The coffee in the lobby looked and tasted like weak tea.
The lobby was very nice and the staff was very friendly. Our room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Burn marks on carpet. The upholstered chair had a slash in it, and there were large cobb webs in the corner.
Staff was friendly. Place was clean. Great location. Great price
This property is conveniently located just off the interstate near Hendersonville, Flat Rock Playhouse, Carl Sandburg home...not terribly far from Ashville. In other words it is in a lovely location. The staff are delightful and made the stay most enjoyable. It truly is a pleasant place to stay without having to overspend. While our room was clean and had a nice décor, the "bathroom basket" only had a shampoo..no conditioner, etc. Also, was disappointed no pool or exercise room.
About on a par with some of the less expensive national chains - Clean, functional, no frills. I was in it for less than 12 hours. Included breakfast limited but ok. Lighting in room was harsh and glaring. Only one inconveniently located electrical outlet made phone charging awkward. Shower a bit difficult to operate. Tap water tasted and smelled of chlorine but this may not be hotel's fault.
Staff were welcoming and friendly and the room was spacious comfortable and very clean. The atmosphere was quiet and family oriented
king bed room with extra pull out couch, two tvs frig and micro .. staff was great had a great stay will use them again...
Location. Staff atmosphere. Breakfast
This was a great place to stay with clean, well appointed suites. The grounds are well kept and reminiscent of a mountain getaway. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would say this was an excellent value and we enjoyed our stay. This is trifling, but I wish there were napkins or paper towels in the kitchen.
The only thing I didn't like was there wasn't ventilation in the bathroom. Besides that, beautiful place, and great staff!
The breakfast wasn't edible.
Very pretty area, nice outward appearance. Nice grounds, some thoughtful appointments. Some maintenance issues, 'the little things' were off. Everything was fine, but the 'lodge' part was more decoration.
Nothing Rate for value of facility
Staff was awesome. Breakfast was decent. Beds was comfy and quiet Everywhere had to walk up and down steps no elevators. Very noisy . was woke up at 12am loudness in hallways . quality of hotel needs upgrade for the price.
Location I paid for my vehicle to be parked on property until I returned from my short trip. Upon my return, I called the hotel for my pick up, I was told someone would be in the shuttle on the way to get me in minutes. Twenty minutes later, NO ONE has shown up. I WALKED FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL, not one time during my walk did I see a Clarion shuttle pass me. I walked into the lobby and asked them what was going on around there. I told them what happened and the response I got from the ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER was "You only called once?!" HUH??!!! Should I have to call more than once when they are all standing around doing nothing!!!?? NEVER AGAIN!!!
Clean, quiet and convenient. Breakfast was just okay, not good, just okay..
Our stay in Asheville was very pleasant. Room was comfortable and attractive. Loved the shower. Staff was polite and helpful. We had seen on the website that the pool would be closed for renovations, so were pleasantly surprised to find that renovations were complete and it was open. Pool, hot tub and firepit area were very nice.
Room was very nice. Staff maintains it's well. Staff was very nice and well dressed and spoken desk clerk. You could tell they cared about their job and guest. Trash can was overflowing out front of lobby door. Hotel it self was very clean, parking lot too with that one exception.
We have been going to HLI since the 1980's. We always stay in one of the cabins with easy parking and convenient location. The BEST is the included breakfast. Season's is an excellent restaurant and breakfast is not-to-be-missed. No
Best meal we have had in years at Seasons!
Room had character. Wood floors, ceilings, walls, etc It was advertised as having senic mountain views. The only view we had was pine trees. Not a single mountain view anywhere.
There were many activities to do on the grounds. There were a few ants in the cabin, but it could be expected when in a wooded area.
It was clean and there was a fireplace in our room. Water mill entrance scenery pretty. Extremely dated. Walls very thin. The chairs were horrible(sank almost to the floor when we sat in them). Curtains didn't cover the windows and some of the blinds were broke. Front porch deck needed repair work. Winding roads with very little signs.
All staff members were very helpful.
