The vehicles needed service and the service warning lights were a constant cause for concern. Our first vehicle was a diesel that periodically needed a fuel additive called AdBlu. We weren’t familiar with this, nor were the pick up point attendants. We detoured to return the vehicle to Hertz and after turning off the ignition it would not start until AdBlu was added to the fuel. I would think a note in the glove box should be provided the Note should be in English and Italian. Other than that, our experience was very good.
Pros:Good car. Easy drop off.
Cons:A bit slow at pickup.

Nice, helpful staff. Our train was delayed, so we arrived during the siesta (Hertz Bari was closed 1300-1530, then the staff person who could check us out was delayed by his own train until after 1600. We were disappointed to lose ~3 hours at our one night at a “splurge” masseria. Car was great & allowed us to explore Puglia! We got a hybrid, so helped with gas mileage too!
Victoria was very helpful for checking in and out. The process was very quick and efficient!
