room comfort- close to town -complimentry facilities although room was comfortable it was a basement room which we did not really like it felt closed in.
complimentary wine and chocolate - value reasonable at late booking rate, otherwise very overpriced We were promised parking which did not materialise.
Friendly and helpful approach of person in Reception and quiteness of location/hotel. I went there with my husband to chill out and that's what we did. Dirty carpet, too messy shower (splattering everywhere), dirty face flannels/towels. Asked for a luxury room but I'm pretty certain it felt quite standard. Not good value for the £70 paid, in my view. I also requested confirmation of my parking space which wasn't given, although I provided my contact numbers and email because it was a last minute booking. Had to arrive there to verify this. This is the only time I have felt somewhat dissapointed by accommodation selected from your website.
This is merely a guest house than a hotel. Very small rooms and tiny bathrooms. Comfy but rooms can get noisy due to proximity with front door and people talking in the hallway.
Good value; good breakfast; friendly staff; good location for access to Brighton & Hove. Bed a bit too firm; uncomfortable pillows.
very nice breakfast clean and tidy room helpful staff n/a
Clanliness. Location of the Hotel in Hove, near enough to Brighton. Complimentary items in the room Lack of shelves and hanging space in the bathroom
This was our second stay at Seafield House. Rooms are comfortable, clean and well finished. Good choice at breakfast. The little extras in the room are also a very nice bonus, as is the free parking. The ensuite was a little bit cramped.
And the staff is very friendly except the owner how fortunately is not often there. The price is enormous for the prestation. The staff does not speak French. The owner behaved rudely.
complimentary water Felt impersonal. Fittings rather cheap - eg bath tap fell off. Mattress very soft and lumpy. owever, didn't complain, so my own fault!
The staff were excellent and very friendly!! Breackfast was perfect and there was a great choice to enjoy. Our room, was very awkward to get too and we had to walk up so many stairs which is difficult with luggage. It would not be suitable for elderly people or people who struggle with walking. However the room was very clean and modern with the necessary facilities. We would return again to Brighton and stay at The Oriental.
The bed was so comfortable and the staff helped me out with my computer problems; was very clean; excellent breakfast and good location Desks in room could be larger for people who need to do work
Got to Visit Brighton Our TV/DVD player didn't work
The members of staff ( Stephanie in particular) were wonderful & very helpful with places. Had a healthy choice for breakfast, more than i expected. Neat & comfortable. Feels like home away from home.
From the minute we arrived (to a very warm welcome) we elt very much at home. The staff were lovely and even bothered to organise a packed breakfast for us as we had to leave early in the morning. Would definitely stay here again when in Brighton. Nothing at all - great location for the lanes, lovely rooms, lovely staff and gorgeous toiletries (which really help when you're travelling with only and luggage).
The hote is in very good location, closed to the downtown, but still quiet. The room was very nice and it was made with good quality of materilas. Only the view wasnt so good, because windows was looking at a court yard....
long walk from room to bathroom/toilet
Clean, modern and comfortable room. Breakfast was a little haphazard on second morning but food was good.
On the whole it is lovely, tad expensive as my room was tiny, and with a travel cot for my daughter too, there was no spare room. Breakfast was great and I would go there again.
Pleasant casual atmosphere. Clean, well lit room. Nice design. Pretty good breakfast. The windows in our room did not have any lock whatsoever. The maid left the windows open, which added to a feeling of insecurity. Anyone could have accessed our room through such windows from a balcony which ran along the front of the terrace. Breakfast time was accompanied by musak, which we didn't like. When we complained, however, the music was turned off when the other guests also agreed. The fire alarm went off at 4:00am, and no one was around to attend to it.
Excellent and helpful staff. Room is smaller than expected
Really friendly staff, stylish room, comfortable bed and great breakfast!
Very personal freindly staff, well looked after and attentive Nothing
The staff were all friendly and helpful, the room was excellent with a very high standard of design feautures.
All staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. As the hotel was quiet we were upgraded to a superior room which was lovely. Excellent breakfast menu. N/A
Nice location, on Regency Square, by the sea. Very friendly staff.
The staff were fantastically friendly and welcoming and were only too happy to help with recommending places to eat / visit and direct us when we were leaving on the quickest route to the station. The hotel itself was charming, full of character and decorated to a high standard. But what really sets this apart is the people and their attitude and helpfulness. A lovely little find and one I highly recommend to anyone staying in Brighton.
The staff were incredibly helpful and made me feel very welcome. The breakfast was outstanding and the position was excellent.
Nice small hotel with excellent staff. We really enjoyed short stay.
Fab all round.Great location near beach and the shop and sights of Brighton. Super decor in bedrooms and public areas. Staff couldn't do enough-recommended local restaurants and even hadcopiesof menus.Superb breakfast and a well stocked bar. Our room was small with a disappointing view, but decor lovely.Possibly a bit overpriced for the room, although I believe the more expensive rooms were fab.
Saw a show and Shopped
Friendly owner. Good cooked breakfast. The toilet was shared which was not as I expected. The description should have been clearer. I was there for a conference so didn't get back until late every night. I wish the wifi code had been in the room as I never got to use the free wifi.
Very comfortable Parking was a real issue. We managed to find a parking space in the same road but were reluctant to move the car all w/end as there was little chance of finding another space. Traffic wardens were issuing tickets outside the hotel at 09:10 sunday morning.
nice and close to the beach and shops
Room was very clean and comfortable, plenty of tean and milk you don't always find even in large hotels, staff friendly and helpful. Shared toilet, no net curtains at window
location perfect. good breakfast but you cant have any till 9 oclock, i had to be at a conference so I had to eat and be late or don't eat ... my room was to small to have a shower in it but that didnt matter as it didnt work properly and the room was so dirty i only slept there because i had no choice the place had never seen a hoover. There was dirt and dust everywhere , wall paper and paint peeling off the walls. Shared toilet was next to my room i heard everything and it smelt horrid.
Location was good for centre of town, St. James and the seafront No hot water, room was on the small side, bathroom even smaller!
The location was very close to the city centre and the staff were hospitable and friendly. The room was small and whilst everything was provided it did not feel very good value for money, (£102 per night for two) but perhaps that is just Brighton for you.
Most big hotels try to sell you a fantasy about grandness and inevitably a falseness. In contrast, the Marine View Hotel has a warmth and I will remember it. The owner of Marine View and staff were very helpful welcoming and friendly without being intrusive.
Not good value for money, you can stay at the thislte hotel on the sea front for the same price and the breakfast was not good would be a better hotel if it was cheaper.
Staff was friendly and good location for the gay scene but way to expensive for a B&B
