Pros: The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Not overly crowded. Safe
Cons: They were unable to accommodate our early arrival even tho the hotel was obviously not booked to capacity. We waited from 11am to 3:00pm in the lobby to check-in. It's location is not one that accommodates coming and going easily.

6.8 Good
Pros: It was authentic architecture and a beautiful view, with a gorgeous pool area
Cons: It felt badly organized. For example they rarely had enough cash to give change without going looking. The elevator didn’t always work. Most importantly, I was there for work and the Internet didn’t work in my room, and wifi barely worked. In the reception area everything worked but I can’t spend all my time working in that area.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room was modern and comfortable. Restaurant in the evening was good
Cons: Breakfast was poor. The city of Iguala is not interesting at all, good only to pass by for a night while driving.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It is very clean and comfortable, well appointed and maintained. There was no problem with our late check-in. The bar/restaurant upstairs is excellent, with great food and a nice evening view. The hotel provides secured, enclosed parking. This hotel is clearly the best option in Iguala.
Cons: The gritty neighborhood and its distance from Taxco. On the Booking.com listing, it indicates that it's only about 15 miles from Taxco, but it is actually about a 45-minute drive. We chose this hotel only because its listing conveyed that it was closer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean. Staff was friendly
6.8 Good
Pros: A modern & beautifully designed and presented hotel. Staff were really friendly, efficient and helpful. The little restaurant is very good (I had dinner and breakfast there). WiFi was good... choose the right one though. Parking was good.. although there is only one parking spot onsite. (which I got).
Cons: My room was in the first floor overlooking the street... unfortunately lots of streets noise late into the night which prevented a good nights sleep. There was no hot water in the morning for a shower.. although admittedly I was looking to shower at 10:30am.. so there might have been earlier.

Cons: when I made a call weeks before my stay the person who got my call told me they would prepare a room with balcony or at least big windows but it only has a small window with no view. It was not a big deal, though
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, good view from roof
Cons: Hard beds, no AC, window on street
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean. Wifi was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast was available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday but It was difficult to find any healthy choices. (Sweet cereal, pastries, white bread, jam, apples or melon or papya.) Only instant coffee was available.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I arrived between six and seven am and was checked in at 7am, without any extra payment. I also was allowed to use the room directly after the check-in. The room was really nice with a huge bed and even a desk. The shower was very good as well. I was provided a map of the city as well and the receptionists answered all my questions. The included continental breakfast was more than that. There were also fruit and cereals provided.
Cons: There were only instant coffee for breakfast.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely cosy old hotel half way up the hill from the bus station to the town square. Two big comfortable beds, free cakes and fruit and coffee or tea in the evening.
Cons: The hotel lies in the main road up into the town so can be noisy, though the traffic dies away before midnight and it didn’t bother us in a room with a little balcony on the second floor (number nine) overlooking the side street.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My whole experience at La Casa del Laurel was very pleasant.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice big rooms, very clean bathrooms, and wonderful location right in the middle of town. This was an excellent choice for a touristic stay in Taxco.
Cons: The "breakfast" is really bad with cheap instant coffee in styrofoam glasses...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and facilities
Cons: The ground floor rooms were not sound proof and it was a bit noisy next to the reception
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's civilised & relaxed. Having access to coffee & breads,/fruit at mini bar in reception very useful.
Cons: Just very loud noise of cleaning person on stairs in dark about 6am.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: large comfy bed, very good view, Jacuzzi, extra beers offered with guacamole on arrival that was great
Cons: was advised NOT to take a towel for the pool from reception because they say it would rain soon so we did not take one. and did not try the pool ! Poor restaurant, good breakfast although you are going to be asked to pay for it even if it's included in your booking. (a la carte menu actually, quite strange). you have to call reception to empty the jaccuzi which is booring to... so basically advised to use it once which is sad for the price paid

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view is amazing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Quiet, The Peacefulness The Pool and Private jacuzzi
10.0 Excellent
Pros: EXCELLENT customer service
Cons: Needed two soaps - one in bathroom one in shower. I kept forgetting to ask. Bath towels would be better if they were fluffy kind. Slippers would be a nice addition too. These are my ONLY complaints and they’re not even real problems!! Loved the stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has a fantastic view over Taxco, the rooms are enormous, and the facilities well designed and maintained. Excellent service at the front desk.
Cons: The meals service was a bit slow.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, Great location. This is a hotel that the staff ( Bruno, Daniel, Carlos, and the great chef, Antony) make you feel at home. We have never been treated so well, pampered, and spoiled. We loved it! Don't stay anywhere else, while in Taxco. It's beautiful!
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and the staff very helpful
Cons: The bathroom has not a door and there were not good indications to find the place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bruno was a delight as a private host for us after a long all day drive, greeting us with a chilli gin & tonic and going on to serve an excellent five course tasting menu by chef Arturo on our rooms private balcony overlooking the city. The room was amazing, a perfect balance of fine luxury and boutique chic! It was covered in rose petals as it was the final night of our honeymoon and we had Moët Champagne on ice waiting for us. All round is was a magically romantic final night of our fifteen day Mexican adventure.
Cons: The breakfast was good but not amazing like other Mexican breakfasts we had along the adventure at different places. The view however from the small restaurant balcony having breakfast certainly made up for that.

Pros: Very nicely renovated old building in perfect location right at Zócalo
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely fantastic. The location is perfect, despite being right by the zocalo, it was not noisy at all. But just in case, the hotel is thoughtful enough to leave earplugs on the night stand, which was a nice touch. The staff is extremely nice and competent, even after check out, we could leave our bags and use the pool. Super kind and helpful. The building itself is beautiful, the view from the pool and the rooftop is stunning. I wish I stayed longer
Cons: Everything was perfect
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel was in great location, clean and the staff were very friendly but lack of air conditioning was a problem.
Cons: It didn’t have air conditioning which made sleeping very hard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very pretty views of entire town of Taxco from everywhere. In the very center of town right on the Zocalo. Charming.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully located right in the center. Gorgeous multi level terraces with great views over the town on the hill. Comfortable beds and nice breakfast in the hotel

Boutique Pueblo Lindo - Taxco - Restaurant
7
9.0 Excellent (503 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Boutique Pueblo Lindo places you in the heart of Taxco, steps from Guerrero Park and 5 minutes by foot from Guillermo Spratling Museum. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Hotel if beautifully arranged. Typically web sites pictures are taken from "best" angle but when you physically know the place you notice furniture and facilities are not like pictures. In this hotel, reality exceeds pictures. Hotel is so beautiful and clean and enjoyable. Access to the main avenue to visit other places in Taxco is right downhill (though coming back may be a little of a problem as cars drive only one way so you have to go around to come back to the hotel). Food at the restaurant is delicious, although far from money-affordable (in other words, it's expensive, but opposite from expensive hotels of other cities, this food is so delicious... the only reason why I'm not 100% happy with it is because you can find so delicious or even more delicious food at more affordable prices outside of the hotel). Staff exceeds your expectation, and they are superb in attending your needs.
Cons: The room they gave me was absolutely beautiful in its interior, and the location was right next to the swimming pool so that was a plus. Not to mention that it has a beautiful relaxing balcony, the only shortcoming is that the view of that balcony really showed only roofs of old houses. Does not point to the nice views of Taxco rennovated buildings. If you walk upstairs to the restaurant or other hotel roofs at higher heights and oriented to other angles, you do appreciate wonderful views of Taxco city. But not from the balcony of this room (303). That's one of the things I did not like too much. A second thing I disliked, though was not super important for me, was the size of the TV (seems to be a 32 inches flat TV); it would not be that bad if it was installed closer to the floor. They installed it at the very top (almost right below the ceiling) in the opposite corner from where your bed is located so image seems to be small (and for us who have not great eyes sight, movies were difficult to read their sub-tittles). Other than that, a wonderful place.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful outdoor spaces with breathtaking views. Rooms are bright, clean, and beautifully decorated. Bathrooms had nice shower, good lighting, good mirrors, bench and fluffy towels. Beds were comfy. There are safes in the closet and nice hangers with plenty of hanging space. There is an excellent restaurant right on site. Try the chili en nogada. Delicious!
Cons: Hotel is on many levels. Stairs from pool level to lobby should have a railing for safety. Softer, not-so-thick pillows that don’t jack your head up would have been nice as would a small fridge and microwave.
6.8 Good
Pros: View from the top terrace is nice! Our car was parked somewhere else by someone of the hotel
Cons: Bathroom needs an update - after taking a shower the room was full of water. Only window of the room was directly next to the pool. Breakfast was very limited and we needed to pay extra for a hot drink that was not 'included'
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Suite is comfortable and offers a great view of the town. It was cleaned and cozy
Cons: I arrived late evening. Bell Boy helped us to get the room, I wish I had received a list of services and restaurant in the Hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the color of the Hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable.
Cons: I had a facial in the hotel. Though it was very relaxing and good, it lasted 30 minutes as opposed to the full hour advertised. I wouldn’t have minded if it had been advertised as 30 minutes, but when your expectations are not met, it always sets you up for disappointment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was excellent. The staff was friendly. The pool was clean. It was a very nice facility. Would definitely stay there again in my next trip.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, clean, comfortable, quiet, staff extremely helpful, valet handled the car which was a relief with the steep hills and narrow streets, great view from the room, ceiling fan kept temperature comfortable, restaurant excellent
Cons: It was all good
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel is beautiful and the view from the restaurant is breathtaking.
Cons: My room was not clean, and my window faced an interior courtyard. My friends were lucky and they had a balcony facing the nice view for the same price, but I was disappointed with mine. Besides, you could hear everything, the wifi didn't work at all in my room. I expected more for the price.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Unfriendly staff, didn’t respect our booking and it took more than 1 hr to clarify what it seems to be a bad description of the rooms. Despite being one night stay in low season and during the week, at the end I had to pay for an upgrade to get what I booked online.
Hotel Mi Casita - Taxco - Building
8
9.1 Excellent (116 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Mi Casita in Taxco (Centro), you'll be steps from Casa Borda Cultural Center and Silver Museum. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mi Casita is the most beautiful hotel I know. It is elegant and yet cosy. Each room is unique and exceptionally esthetic. It is evident that it was once home to a designer. The small library is beautiful, but my companion and I prefer the suite these days, since we bring work. It has a private terrasse overlooking the central part of amazing Taxco. The staff is friendly and extremely helpfull.
Cons: There is nothing to not like about the hotel. The fact that you need strong legs and knees to get there, is a factor to reckon with most places in Taxco. The climb to the suite entrance is especially rough, but I hope to keep coming through my 70s, which start next year.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and views, congratulations to Adolfo: great service
Cons: Due to location, a lot of noise during the night and early morning from the outside. The room is not dark enough during the night. We stayed in Studio 8.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location cannot be better. Just off the main square from the church with beautiful views of the church and surrounding town. The hotel itself has a lot of charm and really gives you the small town Mexico feel. The staff was extremely gracious and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the room was fantastic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is amazing, staff super friendly, very clean
Cons: At night, because of Taxco regular movement (cars, peoplo, etc), it can get a little noisy
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Such a wonderful and cute property!! The location was fabulous and views absolutely beautiful! Will definitely recommend to anyone heading to Taxco. And the ladies running the hotel were so kind and helpful, all staff were great!
Cons: One croissant with breakfast. For what you pay, should be more of a breakfast!
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Everything , location near the downtown, very informative and courteous. Will book there again.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location, friendly and helpful staff. Close to the Zocalo and actually very quiet at night.
Cons: I had read about lovely views, but our room didn't really have a view and it was a little small, however it was nice. It was a little stuffy as we couldn't have the doors open as it opened right onto the thoroughfare to the other rooms and their was a communal toliet across from the room. But I did choose the cheapest room option so I guess you get what you pay for. It wasn't really a big deal as we didn't spend much time in our room.

Cons: There were quite a few mosquitoes around so you need to use mosquito spray
5.8 Okay
Pros: the location was good, the grounds are beautiful with very well preserved plants and architecture, the staff was pleasant.
Cons: No air conditioning, The windows open to other buildings with windows, so if you want privacy, you will suffocate with no fresh air. the linen were polyester, the room was hot as it is and the linen added to my sweating. No fresh water bottles in the room, only a pitcher with water. No place to have coffee or a drink in the lobby on Tuesday, or breakfast, the kitchen was closed and no coffee machines in the rooms or the lobby. Last, no phone in the room, in case of emergency, oh well, you have to wait. .

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, amazing views to be able to get into hotel Monte taco is the real deal!
Cons: Pool was not working
4.3 Okay
Pros: The views from the area were amazing, though no views from the room.
Cons: There was no hot water for the shower and not even a bottle of water to use (which is common in Mexico because you cannot drink tap water), meaning you have to go to a store and buy it if you want to drink...and the place is quite remote so nothing you can easily find in the area. It was also extremely hot in the room and there was no fan or AC...opening the windows meant welcoming mosquitoes, so it was a very long night for us and we hardly slept. The man at the lobby was arrogant and not very helpful.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The view is amazing!

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is good, we had roofed and secure parking, it's clean and the staff is very nice. Very appropriate to walk all day and just crash to sleep.
Cons: I would have liked it to be near the main square, the breakfast was too basic. The room we got was at the entrance and you could hear everyone coming in and out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We have a room with a balcony. We can see the Cristo Monumental de Taxco. The view on the terrace is awesome.
Cons: The wi fi is not working. You need to take a taxi to the bus terminal. But it's walkable to the zocalo. You can hear people talking in the hallway.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Good location
Cons: Bad breakfast, no hot water, poor hygiene, stiff bedsheets, no toilet paper and noisy room
8.8 Excellent
Pros: great location, easy to move around town, easy access to bus station, taxis you name it!. Excellent staff made us feel at home
Cons: Kind of tricky the shower. . . hot water was warm. . . but that is a minor problem. I will suggest they change the coffee cups, with such beautiful ones they have in the area, theirs look old and not appealing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was as described, the breakfast was simple yet good with a good town sight in the balcony. So everything pretty much was ok. The staff was very kind and very helpful, specially when asked for tips on how to get around the city.
Cons: It is an old hotel so don't expect much of the stuff you'll see on modern hotels, however it's ok for the money you pay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Having parking in a busy town was a definite plus. Our little balcony gave us a nice view of the city.
Cons: It was a bit distant from town center but only a short inexpensive taxi ride away. No way was I going to drive the narrow city streets there lol.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: - close to the zocalo - swimming pool available - nice view - parking place available inside of the area (closed) - was a big and well equipped room (e.g. fridge, kitchen, other furnitures) - hot water and enough power available
Cons: - Breakfast included (it only says continental breakfast means coffee or tea, juice or fruits, toast... very basic - buffet available for upgrade of 120MXN Pesos) - because of the SANTA WEEK (when we arrived downtown was closed so we couldn’t enter to the hotel) .... this fact was not evaluated, just an information
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All of it
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked its colonial beauty, the free-roaming peakcocks and its comfortable "library".
Cons: Being a colonial city, and to keep a "Magic City" status, too much climbing to get to the restaurant located rooftop...I would have prefered an elevator.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is amazing right in the center of Taxco, 8 minutes walk from Zocalo
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This place is an oasis in one of the most beautiful pueblos mágicos we´ve visited so far, the patio with its pool, mango and palm trees and the two peacocks running around freely and boasting their plumage make for an almost surreal "garden of edenish" experience. Our double room on the ground floor was big&bright (letting in enough sunlight without hotting up) built in the typical, rustic Taxco country-style chic. At the check-in you´ll get a coupon for the breakfast, however if you want the more lavish buffet (Mexican desayuno with chilaquiles, frijoles, huevos al gusto, etc.) you can purchase an upgrade, the rooftop terrace where you´ll get served has a great panoramic view on both the Christo figure as well as on the iconic Santa Prisca. Enjoy!
Cons: I´ve noticed 3 minor things (which do not diminish the awesome experience on the whole): the signal of the Wifi is not very stable and in some parts of the building not very strong neither (I guess it´s due to the heavy, multi-layer stone construction which keeps the place cool, classic trade-off situation), the cushions of the sun loungers are plasticized and get dirty quickly (sunbath on a towel) and the beds + bedding could have been more modern and comfortable.

Pros: Views we fantastic. Hotel was quiet. We didn't get to enjoy the cable car ride, nor boating on the lake, because we arrived late and only stayed 1 night, but those were nice options to have.
Cons: The food at the restaurant was average and somewhat pricey. Wi-Fi only in common area.

Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Loved the eclectic decor. Fantastic views over Taxco from the rooftop terrace. Efren was a charming and wonderful host, providing maps and information on sights to see, both in Taxco and nearby locations, and meals as needed. Massages and a Mayan sweat lodge also available. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were kindly received by the owner Efrin. After he had us choose a room, he immediately took us to his roof terrace with Yaccusy and where you have a magnificent view of Taxco that lies up against the mountain. At the same time he started enthusiastically telling about what you can do in Taxco. Because of the beautiful view, he was able to pinpoint everything from where it was. The distance from the hotel to the center is easy to walk. And Efrin knows not only everything about Taxco, but also what there is to do in the nearby area. And not only about Taxco and the surrounding area, but he can give you good tips all over Mexico. Our room was simple, with a nice bed and a good shower. Breakfast is also simple, but with very tasty and different flavors, home-made bread. Efrin also cooks a delicious supper on request that you can enjoy on the roof terrace while enjoying the tranquility and the beautiful view. We have done this every evening. If we ever visit Taxco again we would definitely stay at Efrin again.
Cons: Maybe a slightly more extensive breakfast?
9.5 Excellent
Pros: the owner Efren was an excellent host, the view to the city of Taxco spectacular and the location a half point and close to everything!
Cons: the only thing was to wait a long time for the hot water
7.5 Good

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Efren was so nice, made me feel like home. He explained everything about what to do in Taxco and even in some other places around. They have a delicious home made bread... Definitely would come back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding manager with excellent English. Gave us a visual tour from the mirador so we could get our bearings before heading out. Parked our car for us. Breakfasts were made-to-order and excellent. Ice cold beer and soda on the mirador through the honor system.
Cons: Signage outside. We weren’t sure we were there when we were there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious rooms, friendly staff, and good location.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location , the terrasse had a beautiful view for the city . The two cute dogs who lived there
Cons: The apartment , especially the bathroom is absulutely dirty, the third bed was not made for sleep and there was no bed linen and sheet at all.. I had to ask but it was difficult to get. The equipment was very old torn carpet, ..etc. the bathroom smelt bad and the bigger problem is that you could shower only with hot water or with ice cold water , you could not mix it. The terrasse is not really cleaned after the dogs. There is a toilet but it is really funny that it has not a door at all. We ordered many drinks and dinner as well on the terrasse but I think they recognised that we have our tequila as well. ( I think they did no that we drank only once for a wellcome drink from it because in the beginning we were not sure that the apartmen has bar, who can serve us. )And finally when we got the bill we were told that we were charged because of our tequila. It was not fair at all . They should had told us to take the bottle away, couse it is forbidden. The waiter tried to be so nice to us but finally charged us

Pros: I liked it because it was a quite place and I couldn’t listen to other people in the hotel
Cons: I was really really mad when I realize I didn’t have towels inside the bathroom and it was the first night I stayed there. I had to go for them downstairs, nobody could be in the front desk to ask me for the money of my booking and it is not that close to downtown as some people say in the app
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpful. The good transport connections.
Cons: The room was a bit small, but had a comfy bed
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, beautiful rooms, comfortable bed
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location even that it is not that close to the city centre, a taxi ride cost only 25 pesos or there were plenty of "combis" to La Garita neighbourhood. The staff at the hotel was brilliant! And the chamoyadas next door were amazing!
Cons: Not fault of the hotel, but there are not good options for meals close by... but this is resolved by catching the combi that goes to the Zocalo .
