Location, free breakfast, soft pillows Beds were too small(full size)for my average size family of four.
The location was perfect for my needs. The staff was very nice and the establishment was very clean and inviting. N/A
The staff was friendly when we checked in and out. The lady who was working the breakfast was very nice as well. We got snacks because my sister was a rewards member which was awesome. There was a bad smell in the hallway when we first arrived. Luckily, it went away.
Rooms were clean, friendly staff, convenient location. None

The room was exceptionally clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety to choose from. Good and safe location, with easy access to the interstate. The ice machine was empty one night on our floor.
Odd thing, but I am diabetic and I like to refridgerator to store my personal items. It has a freezer to recharge my travel packs. No downsides to this hotel
The staff .. Very friendly and helpful. How far away the toilet paper holder was from the toilet.
The staff was freindly and very helpful. My first time to the area and they gave me ideas of places to visit, even directions to those places. This was something I had never exprienced at any other hotel.

Hotel is very close to my Daughter's place. It is clean and easy to get to, good breakfast, friendly staff, good price. Pretty much everything I hope a hotel to be No complaints at all.
Friendly staff and exceptional clean room
Affordable, comfy bed, ambience of hotel, decor. Breakfast not free and pricey. We ate somewhere else. Got more for the same price. Mostly clean.
The beds were very comfortable Slamming doors in the hallways loud people talking (sounded like an employee's voice) in the hallways first thing in the morning. And slamming doors. The elevators needed cleaning and carpet in the hallway was not vacuumed.
The bedroom, the cool shower, the free coffee, the 24 hour fitness center, the swimming pool, the food area and the trendy atmosphere. The pool was not open past ten o clock. It would be nice if it was open until 11 pm or 12 am.
The hotel itself was nice When we went to check in the desk lady told is oyr card was declined she failed to tell ua that we actually paid for room and that it was our sec deposit was what was declined so we wasted an hour and a half calling credit card company
Feel presentation and functionality location have to cross heavily travelled intersection highway
Everything Having to leave at check out
Your bartender was so attentive and amazing, her name is Melissa and she deserves it all! The cleaning crew kept knocking on the door before Check out. We had the sign on the door and they knocked three times before check out time.
Spacious room and bath facilities, very comfortable beds Noise seemed to travel from the next room and down the hall.
The staff was friendly and the rooms were relatively spacious. I absolutely dislike that the bathroom door is a sliding partition and there is no fan in it. The walls are relatively thin so if you need to do your business in there you'll be sharing that moment with anyone else in the room.. zero privacy
Nice large rooms. Very clean. Excellent complimentary coffee in lobby, very nice house branded shampoo and soaps in large shower. Very modern decor. Good free wifi. Towels need softening! On check in, young lady was not very friendly. No kind of TV guide
Moderm nick the manager and Christopher his boss are the most unprofessional people I have EVER come across in my 13 yrs of sales and public relations. I called regarding a hold on my account that hadn't been removed yet and before I got to inquire I was slammed on hold by Nick. I called back and he acted like there wasn't anything he did wrong and didn't reall care what I was calling for. I took it a level higher and spoke to his joke of a manager Chris who proceeded to get smart with me and tell me "I'm not gonna sit down and tell you how I am going to discipline my employee" so now we are taking it yet another level higher. Poor management skills lead to poor hiring and therefore a poor customer service experience. Fire them both, they are costing you money because we will NEVER stay at the aloft in WINCHESTER VA or ANY aloft hotel or affiliates. there are lots of people out there that would do a better job and both of them should be ashamed of themselves. We always stayed at the Hilton and this was the first time we branched out. NEVER AGAIN.
Qcomfortable bed Dirty hallways, lobby, and elevators!
Great staff! No hassles. New clean environment.
New hotel very good staff
Very clean, spacious room. No continental breakfast. Breakfast bar looked good, but not free.
Restaurant, Bar, Moderness of hotel Did not fin anything
I loved the fact that when I asked about the movie theatre next door they had taken the time to list both the movies and their times in a binder right on the desk. They also keep a 24hr supply of coffee and cookies which is a nice touch for a late night traveler or someone who has trouble sleeping. Checkout was effortless. If I had to be picky the breakfast didn't look like there was a whole lot of choices to be had but I must admit I flew in and out to grab a coffee.
Rooms was clean Arrived late for check-in and despite notifying the desk that we would be there at that time they were genuinely surprised to have us walk in at 8:30pm. To make matters worse, because we booked through a third party site via kayak, they had no record of our booking. We were told that those bookings come through their email and the manager checks the email but the manager is away. The two front desk employees both stated they were capable of checking the email but yet no one does so while the manager is away? While one of them started to search through what she said out loud was "hundreds of emails" to find the reservation, the other started checking us in. Asking if we were possibly at the wrong hotel and questioning why we were so late (we drove from 4+ hours away and sat in multiple traffic delays) before slowly entering the info into the computer. When we asked her if the restaurant was still open she said no. When we asked her if there were other places we could go to eat, even if it meant driving a bit, we would, as it was our anniversary--she responded by suggesting that we order dominos, "they have good pasta bowls." For our anniversary? I mean, I get that we were late and in a small town things will be closed, but, that seems like a last resort option. Finally, the person checking the emails finds our reservation (and the request to have chocolate covered strawberries added to our room) and says there won't be any strawberries in our room (no surprise there). There was no attempt to rectify the situation and the fact that it took over 20 minutes to check us in because no one checks the email, or that they were notified of our late arrival and still didn't have the room request ready, or that they were aware we were patronizing their hotel for a special occasion and they only served to make the day spent in traffic even more annoying by offering a room upgrade, refund, dining certificate...or even apologizing for any of the above! They were oblivious and had I paid for a one star hotel, none of this would have mattered but at over $250/night in the middle of no where, this place functioned horrifically. Add to that terrible food for room service breakfast and a broken jacuzzi bath and the experience was overall awful. Would not stay there again, and clearly, do not recommend it.
Coffee was weak. Coffee is crucial. Room service coffee was worse. Bringing your own coffee would be good advice, if you care about coffee. Some finishes were run down-tub surrounds, carpets.
The food was amazing. The location was perfect. Lots to see and do in the vicinity. The rooms were very old. The pink tub and shower are in desperate need of an update.
Overall ambience and helpful staff.
A very nice, quiet , well preserved historic town. The George Washington was a great Place to stay. It had the old hotel feel. Unlike the many chain hotels everywhere. I always try to find hotels of this sort in places I visit as I am a history fan. Small room as is usual in a hotel of the era built. None of the modern chrome and plastic feel of others. And it was slightly more expensive than staying at a commercial hotel chain. Recommended to anyone staying in that area !!
The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious as well. The continental breakfast was more than we expected. We would definitely stay at this location again. However, I think the night front desk clerks needs a course in customer service She was not friendly at all.
Overall experience was excellent for the value. Well pleased. Breakfast area was a little cramped.
Terrible place to stay. Crib had chipped paint. They used caulking to make bathroom look clean. I would not recommend or stay here again.
The only problem we had with this motel was the bed, very low and hard as a rock. Really needs new bedding. Everything else was fine, the desk attendant was very pleasant.
This was a great value for the money. I was stopping overnight on my way down to North Carolina, so basically, I needed a nice, clean, place to stay. It was right off the interstate and a good sized room and the most important thing to me, clean, clean, clean. And I was amazed, the bed was really, really comfortable, so I slept really well. No 'staff and service' (it's a Red Roof Inn, people) but my reservation was all set, everything was ready for me, and there were no problems at all in the room, so I am more than happy!
The room was clean, free of Oder. The first time we stayed the internet was hard to get in the room but was fine in the dining area where we had breakfast. Continental breakfast was good simple and free. Area was safe feeling and there was lots of places to eat and shop within a half mile of room. I would stay there again. The price was right
This hotel should be removed from the list.. No internet available, mattress and box spring were terrible. Hard as a rock... We would not stay here again....
stayed march 2012. room was clean and acceptable. con. breakfast was mediocre, nothing exciting, but can get enough food to eat to get you to Miccy Dees later. Lots of restaurants nearby.
everything was fine. met my travel needs very helpful and friendly i will come back.
this Red Roof apparently recently had a 're-fresh' and one could tell. Our room was immaculate, smelled fresh and clean, and had nice fixtures and furnishings. Bathtub was nice glazed metal instead of a cheap plastic enclosure, and even had nice granite-like walls in the shower. Everything worked in the room (a King bedroom) and did not feel cramped. Our only advisement to guests is that the beds tend to be on the firm side, and the pillows are thin. This may be fine for back-sleepers, but if you are a side-sleeper, you might find the firmness not that comfortable, and you will definitely want to request a spare pillow. Thankfully, the staff is very pleasant and accommodating.
room was clean and the staff was very helpful. Pets were welcome at no extra cost. Will stay again
Friendly staff. Pet was welcome no extra cost. Adequate continental breakfast. Rooms in good condition, but the corners needed to be vacuumed.(I left them a note and no tip) Have stayed several times and have always had a good experience. Its is convienent to our trip route.
Good impression of exterior and lobby. Liked having a microwave and refrigerator. Our room seemed old and out dated..(furniture). Both mornings, the shower water was cool at best. TV channell selection was just okay.
The staff was amazing, they really make sure you're as taken care of as possible. The free breakfast was a small selection, but very well executed. The shower never runs out of hot water, and greatly exceeded my expectations. The bathroom was kind of small, but still absolutely functional. The bed could be updated to something a little more comfortable, but I still slept like a baby. Also, the tv was outdated, but it worked like a charm nonetheless. Definitely worth your dollar. I would go again in a heartbeat.
Breakfast was great and the person who checked us in was very funny and kind! The main lobby was very pretty and well set up and decorated. The beds and pillows were very comfortable! Room had a small microwave and fridge as well as a coffe pot. Nice tv, didn't end up using it so I'm not true about the available channels. Over all decent for the price but definitely loser quality than expected. Very convenient and right off the highway and very easy to find! The room was old and out dated. The frames of the pictures were broken, taped back together and then taped to the wall. Very poor outlet accessibility. The light in the bathroom had a fan that turned on with it, the fan was busted and made a very loud grinding and squeaking sound. There were burn marks in the carpet, the bathroom only had one bar of soap, not other toiletries. The sheets appear clean but had some small black scuff marks and the pillow cares were not clean, found hair and a stain on one. The ac/heater was not working properly. It would turn on for about 2 minutes then shut off completely I had to get up multiple times to turn it back on until I was too tires to care, it was also very load and irritating but I need it on because the window didn't open at all and it was extremely hot in the room. The door also did not close all the way. Had to push hard to close it and we'll as pull hard to open in. When it was closed there was a pretty large gap along the top and right side. You could push the door and it would wiggle open and closed even with the dead bolt and top lock on. The wifi was absolutely horrible, very poor connectivity and very slow when connected.
The comfort for the price was a great value! The staff was very attentive and helpful. no problems!
Large well equipped rooms Nicely decorated Breakfast wasn't included but they did have bar and restaurant on site
Staff was very friendly she went out of way to please guest My reservation included a fridge and microwave. First room did not have one. When I brought my reservation to front desk to question as to whether I should have a fridge she told me I should she immediately put me in a room with a fridge then told me they are doing away with fridges as they are trying to become more business hotel. In the second room we had the fridge but no microwave. The fridge failed to keep drinks cold as it the freezer was never defrosted so the fridge was pointless. I brought the attention to staff and they wanted to move me to another room. I didn't as we unpacked twice already. I will not book another room at this hotel as we had to relocate rooms twice then they were trying to relocate us a third time. This hotel also does not provide local area flyers for food establishments. When ask them about places to eat they would push the hotel restrauant on you and the prices were twice as high in their restrauant
Room was clean, bed was great, service was friendly and helpful, had complimentary Internet, BUT... The room lacked a mini fridge. Really?
Excellent value. Relieved at the end of a long day of driving home from family vacation to find a large room with places for all of the baby items. Our child was very pleased, which means we were all happy. The freezer of the refrigerator made unusually loud noises the entire night. Would have unplugged it, but needed it for the child's foodstuff.
Loved that it is pet friendly and we werent placed in a lower grade room because we had a pet Hard to find someone at front desk
Nice options for breakfast The room had an odor maybe like a wet dog smell
The room smelled terrible. We went and bought fabreeze.
Breakfast not included, a expensive rate for not having the breakfast.
Quite both inside and outside. convenient to downtown area. Staff that I spoke with was very friendly and helpful. Shower heads great, with one exception that it was shooting water at the wall, appeaed that the head was not fitted correctly. Safe was way to low. Toilet way to low. I am not a senior citizen and I was not able to even see the numbers on the bottom row of the safe unless I had gotten on the floor. As for the toilet the same with the height, those low things have gone out long ago, it was suitable for a child of 5 or 6 to use without help. I do not think that is the right age to cater to unless it is a family room. Then that should be asked on making the reservation are you traveling with young children. Microwave had sticky stuff on top and side of it. Refrigerator was not plugged in when we got to the room. Carpet was dirty, especially in area of coffee maker, small sink. As well as many stains in both rooms and hallways Room had a stale odor. The maps of the downtown had been copied so many times they where difficult to read. Ice machine one the first floor was not working and no sign posted. Some of these items may seem small and petty, but these are the little things that make the difference. For the room rates improvements/updates need to be made.
LOCATION ONLY FOOD - RM SERVICE - BED THE WORST CIG BUTTS AT ENTRANCES - TRASH CANS FULL BREAKFAST - EMPLOYEES -MANY - EATING SAME TIME NO BANANAS TILL SUN MORNING NO CHEERIO'S- BOUGHT OUR OWN ANTS IN SEATING AREA
Handicapped room was great tho we are used to a king size bed. The acceptance of dogs was so sweet. Staff always ready to help out! Just feel with dogs there and handicapped people some automatic doors would sure help.
The full kitchens were great, staff very friendly and accommodating. Nice breakfast setup. No complaints
Kristin was very pleasant and extremely helpful! The bed was comfortable. Kristin at the front desk was very pleasant and extremely helpful. Josh didn't seem to want to be there, let alone help anyone. He should not work with people or animals! Staff at Sunday's breakfast appeared to be put out, at best. Trash overflowing. Carpet in room was dirty.
Nice beds and bathrooms. Lots of cooking utensils provided. The halls smelled like wet dog. (rooms did not fortunately)
Staff was pleasant, the hot breakfast was well prepared and perk, the room was clean, and they accommodated our last minute reservation. The location was also convenient. The walls are VERY thin, you will be able to hear everything in the hallway and on either side of you including conversations, plumbing, TV, etc.
Continental breakfast was great! I stayed for 3 nights and when I returned to my room everyday the towels, etc hand been replenished. Very quiet. Nice and comfortable beds. I would definitely stay here again. Great area to stay-several restaurants in the area.
Quiet location.Very clean and pleasant staff.
Great breakfast. Somewhat helpful when reservation was wrong. Romm was clean beds very comfortable.

Arrived late. Broken/blocked shower. No staff to repair. Offered to move me to a smoking room (this was at midnight after unpacking etc) Asked for mgr to call me. Called the next day after checkout apologizing. They should have done more. Mgr is a moron
I've stayed at many Hilton Garden hotels and all have been great - nice surroundings, excellent room for the money, etc. Would highly recommend for anyone traveling.
The beds were very comfortable. We had an issue with our toilet before we used it. When the front desk was informed and had assured us someone would come fix it, a room cleaner showed up, handed us a plunger and walked away.
My room was on the second floor right on the corner of the balcony and open lobby so all through the night I heard everyone talking in the lobby talking and it would wake me up.
Big room! It would be nice to have 2 easy chairs and at least one footstool.
