With a stay at The North Hero House in North Hero, you'll be steps from Lake Champlain and Lake Champlain Islands. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beautiful views, pretty interior design, quality food
Pros: Very good
Cons: Mattress was uncomfortable.Shower head poor quality. Room was drenched in scent from fabric softener, had to sleep with the window open to get some fresh air in the room.
Pros: Excellent in house dining.; top menu and well prepared. Nice and lively bar area. Room was perfect; view of Champlain, quiet, very comfortable, nice private veranda/seating area overlooking the above view. Located right on main road down through Champlain; extremely convenient but not noisy (minimal traffic at night). Great travel stop-over. OWuld have liked to rent canoes to explore the shoreline but needed to move on in the mid AM.
Pros: The food was exceptionally good. We ate at their on site restaurant the night we arrived. It was very memorable. The breaksfast provided to us at no cost was the best free breakfast we have ever had. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: I can't think of anything in this category. We now wish we had arranged to stay there longer.
Pros: The view of the lake is magnificent! The continental breakfast was very good as well as dinner.
Cons: The price for dinner was a little high and our service wasn’t great.
Pros: Beautiful location Away from it all Staff friendly and helpful Great cocktails Good breakfast Perfect place to relax and watch the world go by
Pros: Cozy, quaint, well appointed. Nice location and views. Staff is super nice and we appreciated the availability for the holiday. Great summer place with lots to do in the area and at the location,
Cons: It described breakfast as included. It was Christmas so no worry, but it should have been described as a continental breakfast.
Pros: We really enjoyed the restaurant and bar in the evening! Good conversation with the bartender and excellent food! The breakfast was great as well, the quiche was delicious! Our room was pretty small and the bed was not as comfortable as I’d like but overall it was a great stay and I’m sure we will return!
Cons: The small uncomfortable bed was the most disappointing part of our stay.
Pros: We stayed at North Hero House only for one night. We had dinner in the lovely restaurant. We enjoyed the apartment in front of the lake and we had a wonderful breakfast. Everything was perfect.
Cons: Nothing to mention
Pros: Typical Vermont house/furniture and amazing balcony views and jacuzzi following free upgrade
Located on the Isle La Motte, this bed and breakfast boasts scenic views of Lake Champlain and canoes for hire. Free Wi-Fi included in public areas. The Isle La Motte Lighthouse is 8 minutes’ drive away. All simply furnished rooms at Inn at the Isles include carpeted floors, heating and a fan. Select rooms have an en suite bathroom. Guests staying at the traditional Vermont Inn at the Isles can enjoy a country-style breakfast. An outdoor seating area overlooking the lake is also available. The Inn donates all profits to the Vermont based non-profit organization, People Helping People Global. Boat fishing and sunset cruises are offered along Lake Champlain. St Anne’s Shrine is 3 miles away. Alburg Golf Club is 5 miles away.
Pros: Funky nature, higher purpose non profit to help communities in Central America establish lending cooperatives to support entrepreneurs and business on a small scale with seed money. Great breakfast made to order by the host/owner. Great porch and small stone beach to watch sunsets. Quite and laid back.
Cons: Next door guest were smokers...who’s smoke wafted on over to our room.
Cons: Small room small bed and old house that sags everywhere. Needs updating and repairs.
Pros: The view and the food was good
Cons: It was very overpriced, bed was old and we thought it would break. I have stayed it 50 dollar a night motels that where better. The only good things were the location and the food. Not impressive for 150.00 at all. Manager of the Inn laughed at me when I asked if they put out cookies or something for a late night snack. Most bed and breakfast places that are priced similar pay attention to detail which they did not
Pros: Wonderful location, friendly staff. Great to be contributing to charity.
Pros: The view. The breakfast.
Cons: Not clean enough. Bed creaked and groaned. Shabby.
Pros: Breakfast was great!! Staff so pleasant! Comfy beds & good shower head!!
Pros: the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious.
Cons: the room was very warm at night
Pros: The people were very pleasant, the breakfast was home cooked to order and also very good. Thr view of the lake (Champlain). was beautiful.
Cons: The facilities are old, and not quaint, just old. They grow on you after a while, but they need a big facelift. We stayed in the "Cottage" but it is really a plywood building with paint on it, not what I envision when I hear cottage. The Inn serves a meal for dinner for an extra charge, but when we were there they were all booked up so "you're on your own tonight". They need to know by 2:00 if you are dining there - but check in is at 3:00, so how do you do that on the first night? There's not a lot of places to eat on the island, we traveled 13 miles to find a place to eat. When we booked online it said $135 tax included, but they charged an extra $12.xx for tax. As noted above there are positives to the Inn, but for the money it should be in better condition.
Pros: Location was phenomenally beautiful and relaxing yet with plenty to do. Staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful with recommendations. Super family friendly but not at all overrun with kids. Breakfast was delicious!
Pros: Great location and very friendly owners! The accommodations themselves involve down-the-hall bathrooms, but the location makes this place a great bed and breakfast in a wonderful location literally across the street from Lake Champlain. And ordering breakfast involves ordering off a fairly large menu. I would definitely like to visit again.
Pros: The staff was very personable and the food great, the location was perfect for our needs. I would use this property again if I were in the area.
Cons: The first two night it was very hot and we did not have ac however Paul was kind enough to give us a room with ac for the last night which was very helpful.
