Room was not cleaned daily
When we walked in to the first floor, there was a smell of old cigarette smoke and marijuana smoke lingering. Our first room was on 3rd floor. This hallway smelled of marijuana, too. Our first room had a broken AC. The staff encouraged us to wait to see if the temperature would decrease. In 30 minutes, the temperature went from 82 to 84 degrees. Another call, they sent the technician while we were at dinner. Ended up needing to change rooms. Before changing rooms, I found a sock on the floor between beds and bathroom. It didn’t belong to us! They didn’t have a room the same size. Gave us a Bigger room, but had less beds making sleeping arrangements awkward. The desk clerk was upset when we asked for sheets/blankets for pullout couch. We were told by different front desk attendant to ask for these. The second clerk wanted us to go up to the room and look around first. By this point, we had been up and down over 4 times. Our last room was on the 4th floor and this hallway was filled with marijuana smoke along with lemon air freshener to cover the smell.
The location was great..close to freeway and many restaurants. My room was clean and comfortable.
Walking 3 flights. The elevator was broken.
It was in a convenient location for my trip in general.
Front desk clerk said my card was declined. I had to use a different card. I called my credit union and found out she typed in wrong security code. There were no towels in my room. The room was extremely dusty. Carpet wasn't vacuumed. Stove was filthy. The hallway reeked of marijuana. I checked out a day early. I paid for two nights but only slept there one night.
The gentleman at the front desk was lovely. Such a great asset to Best Western. The lady in the morning was really kind too.
It could have been a bit cleaner.
