We were already on our way to pick up the car at one location when we received a call that that location was closed and we had to pick up at a different one that was farther away. We should have been notified much sooner, as we were needing to get on the road for our trip. At this new location, the Kalamazoo airport, they only had one person working and it was "here. here's your keys." We quickly that the car had not been cleaned between rentals, as there were crumbs in the car, dust on the dashboard, two bags of chips in the glove compartment, and the WORST part was that it was very obvious whoever rented it last had smoked something in the car. It STUNK. We did not have time to return to the airport to see about a different car, as we were already behind schedule with having to pick up at a different location, and need to get on the road to make it to our appointment in another state. We also didn't have an employee walk around the car with us, checking it out, so we were concerned we would be charged for the nick in the windshield or other scratches and dents that we noticed right away. What could have been done better? Having more than one person working at the rental counter, having the car cleaned (especially when it STUNK) and finding out we needed to go to a different location sooner. Finding out ten to fifteen minutes before pick up, when you've already left home, is not good enough.4.0 Mediocre

The van was dirty when I picked it up, both inside and outside. I found a used water bottle in the door compartment. I swept hair bands and metal screws and dirt off the floor of the cargo area. The side cargo door rattled the entire time. Because the door did not close properly, the van was cold even when the heater was running full blast. The clerk had told me the vans had been used hard by Amazon. I expected a better vehicle than I received.8.4 Very good

The car that we rented was turned around so quickly, that the cleaning crew missed an obvious spill in the back. As our trip went on & the car sat out in the sun, a rotten milk smell began to consume the car. When we arrived in Wisconsin, we went to an Enterprise there & the kind young man offered to deodorize the car & immediately discovered the spillage spot. He offered to trade the car out the following day, however, when we went back, there were no cars available. He contacted another Enterprise who had a car available, however, we opted to keep the car versus driving to the other rental office as we only had a couple of days left & the odor had decreased.10.0 Wonderful

The car was super clean and had all of the amenities that an out of towner would need. The service in Kalamazoo was super fast and easy. The service professional was very friendly and communicated well. She did however tell me that she was positive driving from Kalamazoo to Detroit would need half a tank of gas so, per her advice, I pre-purchased the half tank of gas. I actually used not even 1/8 of the tank. But the good news is that the professional at drop off in Detroit verified my gas use and refunded me the rest!10.0 Wonderful
