Just a weird hotel. Different type switches for lamps. Some worked, some didn’t. Two elevators, one didn’t work. Took a long time in the morning to catch the elevator. Especially with housekeeping trying to use the same elevator. Front desk staff seemed indifferent.

Pros (+) We had a room with a very large bed. The staff was very friendly. Love that it is pet-friendly.
Cons (-) The “resort fee” is silly. It isn’t a resort. It’s ridiculous.

Pros (+) Really comfortable room and a great sleep. The food was even better than I expected it to be. Quite happy with the location.
Cons (-) Conference rooms are in the basement, making them feel a bit closed-in. Sometimes the elevators are a bit of a wait.

Pros (+) Clean, modern updates to an older building. Friendly and attentive staff. Cool looking bar off the lobby.
Cons (-) Bed is mediocre given the price point and target demographic. Amenities are spartan, bathroom is clean but nothing to write home about & is right on top of the bed. WiFi - free if you join their membership program, o/w $12-14/day?!? What year is this?

Bruce, Jan 2017 - Kimpton Hotel Monaco Seattle By IHG
Pros (+) The staff was great and the hotel was perfect. The only issue was that I purchased the breakfast package for our room. The hotel resturants was being remodeled.
