good breakfast and location the bathrooms were smal and it took a very long time to run a bath. we were also not advised to book parking at the time of booking and so found it very difficult to park as the street was always full.l
Dinner was great, staff pleasant and helpful
Good location, easy to walk to the seaside and shops. Staff was very friendly and parking was available at the hotel.
I like the location which is close to everything & friendly staff & comfortable hotel. Recommend.
preparation of room/bathroom was poor
Friendliness of the staff , the good choice at breakfast and the position of the hotel I ordered a triple bedroom and arrived to a twin the staff were helpful and rectified the problem although i was charged the normal price and my son slept on a matress on the floor first night. The only other grumble was that it took me quite awhile to locate the hotel and the oneway system was frustrating.
I like the location as it is easy to get to the main street and restaurants and is within easy walking distance of the beach and promenade
the location was excellent no air conditioning in the bedrooms
The breakfast was great. I couldn't get warm water in my shower!
Staff were very friendly and helpful with advice about the town. Also appreciated free wifi. Breakfast was good. Room was out of date and the shower didn't work well.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great, in a lovely area. There were free bikes for use. Breakfast was nice. The room was small, and there were no headboards on the bead- difficult to sit up in bed. The bathrooms were clean, but very dated. The room was very hot- and it was a cold Feb. night that we were there.
Very close to the train station
Very friendly, helpful staff. Location was good for most of the amenities and attractions in Knokke-Heist. Booked a no-smoking room, but was given a smoking room!! Parking is free on the adjacent street ,but a bit of a lottery finding a space!
The location and the kindness of the people. The breakfast was just a little bit too poor. Lack of variety of eggs and fruits
Would not recommend a stay in this hotel. Matress old, lumpy, extremely uncomfortable, pillows ditto. Breakfast mediocre, coffee not drinkable, no breakfast tea as an option. Room clean on arrival, during the stay (5 days) room not vaccumed, tub not cleaned and sheet changed.
Parking wasn't easy; we were lucky, but maybe because it was Sunday evening.
Small & quiet. The lack of room bar.
No shower curtains in bathroom. Extractor fan not working inbathroom. No airconditioning
I don4t like the breakfast
close to center clean room small bathroom
The kindness of all staff
central location, nice athmosphere
The room was clean We felt that this hotel was very expensive for the size and fittings of the bedroom.
comfort of the bed (no blanket but a quilt instead) and the central location the room we had (nr 9) too close to the lift and somehow noisy
The location of the hostel the breakfast room
Good location The rooms are in need of re-decorating and modernisation and to include tea and coffee making facilities plus a wider range of television channels.
Everything worked perfect Small toilet
Ideally situated at the heart of Knokke with sea view. Excellent breakfast included in the price. Restaurant and bar available on hotel premises
very good seafood brasserie. good lively bar rooms and accomodation areas a little jaded and well worn
The Hotels position is quite central. Close to the beach and to the shopping area. I didn't like the room at all. It was very oldfashioned, with odd colours!!! We would have changed the hotel, but they told us that it wasn't possible, becaus of the internet-booking.
The location is very good, and we had a nice view from our deluxe room on the beach. The parking facility is very convenient. This is a good 3 star hotel, not a palace. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is large, with fairly average equipment, cheap amenities and small towels. The breakfast room has no windows (a "crime" with such a nice location, and the breakfast itself was mediocre.
As per previous visits, excellence in all aspects, room first class, food wonderfull. staff attentive, owner, could not be better or more helpfull.Surroundings very stylish. In other words fantastic hotel. Not a thing
Good rooms, clean and modern, excellent breakfast, good service no complaints
Helpful staff providing good local information
the hotel is very quietful, located near the countryside. The bedroom is very spacious with a very nice private terrace. the bathroom is correct but is getting old, especially the tub. The toilets should be replaced in a near future.
the location and hospitality no
Friendly open atmosphere; real hospitality.
The hotel has a very nice Scapa-Sport design and a parking. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast close to perfect. The hotel has no airco... this wasn't a problem this time as the weather was not that warm, but it could be a problem during high summer temperatures.
Friendliness, helpfulness of staff
We were received politely, shown to our well equipped room, all very tidy & clean. Breakfast was of a high standard.A number of restaurants for evening meal only a few steps away.
Beautifully clean and well serviced. Very quiet area but only a short walk away from restaurants.
Pure relaxation after a day at the beach or brilliant shopping in Knokke-Heist. Followed by excellent food in the wonderful gourmet brasserie not to mention the fantastic wine list.
Extremely large room - it was a real surprise despite the photos on their web-site. The restaurant - the main purpose of the establishment - was also superb. No.
Fantastic restaurant, superb rooms.
Friendly staff, room
It was just Great we are talking about next vist already my only commennt would is restauarnt was very hot
Up to usual high standard. Fantastic room & great food in a really busy high quality restaurant .
The room was beautiful, very clean, nice spacious room with a giant tv and I loved the bathroom. The dining room was beautiful, though we didn't eat there. We got a special online rate and it was a treat to stay somewhere a bit nicer than what we are used to. The staff was friendly enough at first, but not overly accomodating. We are budget travelers, and they seemed to be a bit snobby. I would not recommend this for families with young children because the room was not child proof in any way. I constantly worried if my 1 year old would break something valuable in the room. There is no elevator as there are only 3 rooms, 1 to each floor. The staff in no way offered to help me get the luggage upstairs, and I had a baby in my arms. Checkout procedure needs to be explained in person at check in, as they only allow for an early departure with prior arrangements.
Surrounding/garden and terras
cost of parking was very high and there was no hot water on the Saturday morning and the hotel did not offer apology or compensation. Also heating was not on at all and although not freezing it would have been nice to have the option. I thought it was expensive for the facilities offered. Sauna was also expensive but we did not use it so cannot comment further. would not recommend this hotel.
near the beach, friendly staff, good breakfast
The hotel is well appointed, the management welcoming, friendly and efficicient. I was made to feel at home. I will certainly stay there again. It is close to the sea, the shopping streets..
friendliness of hotel staff
attentive staff, fine with kids rahter small room
The staff at the Adagio are always very pleasant and relaxed. The breakfast is pretty good compared to others and the location is spot-on for the promenade, as well as shopping. We often go back to the Adagio.
Impressive luxury hotel! Extremly friendly staff. no
One of the finest hotels along the Belgian coast. Impeccable service, multilingual staff, excellent breakfast buffet. A place where one does not have the impression to be just a customer. We decided to stay longer than planned.
Away from the maddening crowds this luxury small hotel is what Knokke was all about....
Peaceful neigbourhood. Radiator was leaking in our room. Bad smell on stairway.
The food was first class! The staff were efficent and friendly, good atmosphere! Keys were left in lobby so anybody could take any key! bit of a security risk.
welcome reception, breakfast, dining room, menu suggestions room a bit cramped, no view due to a big tree touching the window
Food and service were very good the hotel is no longer linked with "Best Western"
Generally pleasant surroundings; good sized double-room, very good value evening meal The single room was rather small and cramped. The bathrooms were a bit old and tired.
fresh fruit in room - balcony overlooking garden- convenience to beach and shops front reception desk very messy with papers and staff not overly friendly
nothing check below yes , the information on the site is totally false . The room in a villa is in fact not at the hotel but in a house 1km away from the hotel . The room did not have any basic facilities working like the phone . The door of the room was in glass which could not guarantee any privacy !!!!!!!! Because of these reasons I decided to go for a regular room inside the hotel ( no discount offered) and I left the hotel after one night even if I had already paid .No discount was offered .
Location, nice garden view, helpful and friendly staff.
convenient, well located, quiet spartan accomodation, uninterested staff
The surrounding area Expensive for type of room supplied, expensive parking, expensive breakfast / dinner.
The Hotel Approach is located at the most glamorous end of Knokke. Near the sand dunes and yacht club, kite surfing location. If I was coming to Knokke again, I would only stay in this area, and I would again stay at Hotel Approach. I left a tip every day, but they refused it. In the end, I hope the cleaning staff received it. They did an impecable job. I did not eat at the hotel but I heard the food is excellent. The management and staff were very respectful and accomodating. Breakfast for two was 60euro. For one it was 35euro. I find that very expensive.
The Hotel sign calls for "luxurious rooms": it is not the case. This is definitively not a 4-star establishment although it carries even five on an old plate. The room was in principle ok, but far from clean (had to request extra cleaning) and in the bathroom the stool offered a filthy look with loose hair of previous guest included.
Staff friendly, hotel well situated, nice room with good TV, fruit courtesy of hotel, good heating, rich breakfast Room smelled of smoking cigarettes, bathroom + floor in room in need of fresh-up, car parking was full with flee market stuff, so no room for car
I loved the decoration of the rooms, the food and the warm receptoin and service. Gregory who works there is delightful and the boss charming, professional and helpful.I recommend it to anyone who likes to feel pampered, restful and to be at home away from home. My unfortunate short period of stay. I will definetely return for a longer stay!
Staff was very friendly; Nice room and good location
Simple and well located with very kind and attentive owners. Will return.
We were treated like friends, the owners are very kind and helpfull. The breakfast was nice in a very cosy diningroom.the rooms had a good heating.we slept very well. Maybe they could put some draws.
Friendly owners, good quality decor and fittings, very close to resort centre but quiet residential location. On site parking very limited, but still better than most in Knokke.
the location the rooms are small and poorly furnished
the hotel is devy well placed : in the center and close to the beach
Good location, nice staff, clean room and good breakfast.
Central location and very nice staff. It was very noisy but there isn't anything that can be done about that unless the rooms are air-conditioned and then the windows could remain closed.
Staff were friendly small room, but this is the nature of these types of hotels
The staff could noy have been more helpful.
It was close to the beach The staff was rude and not welcoming, especially to children. It was no clear during the booking process that infants were to be counted in the number of persons. They refused to let all of us stay and also refused to refund our money. The room was too hot and there was very little ventilation and no air condititioning. Don't stay there if it is warm.
Very good breakfast. It wasn´t as close to beach as told. As well the rooms were tiny and the staff didn´t speak too well english.
Very good location, small and calm hotel. A lot of hair in the bathroom, obviously not vacuum-cleaned. Nonchalant reception. Very thin walls.
Extremely friendly staff. Good location. Good breakfast. Very good value for money. Nothing to complain about.
The location is very good, near the beach and near the main street with all the stores. I booked for two persons. I actually expected a large bed for two persons and not two seperate beds next to each other.
good value, close to beach and amenities. Small hotel but recently refurbished to high standard. Clean and well looked after.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The area was peaceful and the hotel was less than 5minutes walking to the beach. We were unaware that Knokke is suited to older travellers (60+), at least this was our experience staying here in April. Restaurants in the area of the hotel did not serve food after 21:00, which might not be an issue for most people. Expensive shops also a negative for us!
Our stay was only for a night, but the staff was very pleasant and helpful so we enjoyed our very short stay. Its location close to the beach makes it also a good destination for those willing to spend more time at the beach. We had to pay cash for the hotel and there was no mention about that. I think it should be mentioned on the website that for one night you have to be prepared to pay cash (or maybe I did not see it).
Very simple rooms. Very simple breakfast. Very expensive for what it is.
it was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful.
Very nice staff, excellent access to the beach, cheap parking facilities nearby The bathroom was very oldfashioned, the walls were very thin so that you could hear noise from other rooms, the double bed consisted actually of two single matraces
close to the beach - easy accessible
Very comfortable. when booking it stated only two rooms left. In fact it appeared virtually empty, and we were forced to pay for a deluxe room which was more than we needed, and obviously more expensive.
very quiet, cleanest of the room, the modernisme difficult to find
The dinners were really excellent, and the staff was very friendly!
the nice furniture, building, rooms, the overall good admosphere and well-serving people
This newly renovated charming family-run hotel is situated in a beautiful polder-landscape adjacent to a working farm. It enjoys lovely views across the Belgian countryside and its atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. We found the modern design spaceous interior very appealing. Good breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice! The owners and staff are friendly and helpful, yet discreet and unobtrusive. We enjoyed our stay enormously! Something that could be improved: bathroom and room could do with one or two shelves and/or hooks to put down or hang a few items.
The size of the room. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Verry good breakfast. no
It is our second stay at this hotel, which speaks volumes for what it has to offer. The staff couldn't be more helpful and the facilities and location were excellent.
Location - within 2.5 km of a bustling town/shopping area yet situated in the countryside I was disappointed that my universal electrical adapter did not work in the room to charge by ipod, cellphone, curling iron, etc. The new plugs in this hotel just won't accommodate the standard adapter that served me well in other Belgium & Amsterday hotels.
Well designed, quiet location (yet close to Knokke), first rate breakfast. An unqualified recommendation.
The hotel is in a refurbished farm building which has character. The setting is very rural but within bike ride distance of the sea at Knokke. The village of Ramskapelle is a 5 min bike ride away with 2 excellent restaurants. (Try the de Kruier at the windmill!). The hotel has bikes for hire (5EUR per day). The staff were very friendly. The hotel has been open for 12 months. There are a couple of minor areas where the family owners can improve. It seems strange to pay deposits on local area maps.
