We were extremely satisfied with this hotel. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The refrigerator was a nice amenity. We also liked the location next to the minor league baseball park. The pool and hot tub area was pleasant, clean, and in good repair as well. I probably would stay here again without researching any other hotels in the area. If there is any drawback at all, traffic can be slow between this location and the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge attractions, so it takes longer to get there.
Room were clean and neat. Best Hampton Breakfast we have had. Great overall experience.

Clean, updated rooms, friendly, good value We had to change rooms b/c the TV wouldn't work and the NCAA championship game was on, so it was a much watch event. They relocated to another room. They were nice about it. If it weren't for this I would have given a '10' (top score) on everything.
The bed was amazing and the pillows were even better location was not the best to get to
Attitude of staff No
Everyone was extremely nice and attentive. They geniunely cared about us, our needs, and wants. You were always greeted with a smile and customer service was top notch. The free breakfast was amazing and they had different items each day. No indoor pool and some things were in need of repair or replacement.
Clean rooms and a great breakfast.
The cleanliness, the pool and the the breakfast was great. The dining area was beautiful!
Very clean and quite location.
The view of the Smokies ballfield from my room. Location of hotel off the highway was very convenient and quiet. Breakfast was well appointed. 24 hour coffee service is a bonus. Beds and pillows were comfortable, as well as the room being very spacious. No fresh cookies at 5, which is normally a Hampton main staple! Sink height was too high for 3 out of 4 guests.
Breakfast and location. Front desk workers including manager on duty were too busy talking and interacting to make me feel welcome or tell me anything about the hotel. I had to ask later where everything was located.
Friendly floor staff Our room was a king suite. When our air conditioner was broken the first night of arrival we notified staff the following morning as we were leaving to do some activities. When we arrived back to the hotel that afternoon the manager notified us that there were no other rooms available except a 2 queen room on a different floor. Instead of lugging our belongings to another floor we decided to tough it out, that evening we also noticed our shower curtain was taken and not replaced. The toilet seat also remained broken for our entire stay. Our room had a strange odor, luckily we had packed room spray. We booked late, so we didn't have many options. While the hotel was one of the least expensive, I suppose I was expecting a little more from what reviews I had read.
The indoor pool was one of the best features along with the reason for choosing this hotel. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good also. I enjoyed the coffee, course then again, so did my son. Trying to get in to the street that leads to the hotel was rather difficult at one point. It seemed that everyone wanted to be there or was coming from the other direction. There is no light and it is a right turn only onto the main street. For the most part we had no trouble.
Great hotel, clean and easy access to high way. The most impotant part for me on a one night stay is the rest, I lowered my rating because we had double beds and the bed that i slept the base or box spring was probably craked, one side was lower than the other half of the matress and I kept rolling into that side wich was not comfortable at all, It was room 407 I believe, the bed away from the window. Other than this, If i would not had this bed, I would have rated five stars.
The staff were exceptional and always greeted us as we entered and left the facility. The morning coffee was really good. The beds were not that comfortable. I prefer a softer mattress and this one missed the mark. Would have liked healthier choices for breakfast, more fruit. The first day there were only 2 sad oranges and on the second day we were offered over-ripe bananas.
I enjoyed the fact that the rooms have a very modern feel. The shower in itself was wonderful! The added bonuses of the fireplace and balcony was great. Would love to spend a romantic weekend getaway here in the near future. With all the nights we spent eating out, a free breakfast buffet would've made a big difference. We had to travel a ways off the property to eat breakfast.
Everyone was extremely friendly. Good southern hospitality. Queen bed was a little small for two adults.
Pool is on the 2nd floor roof top. It overlooks the light show in the pond at The Island. Bed was not comfortable and it's very pricey to be a hotel.
We loved being able to walk out the hotel door and have live entertainment and fun things for kids. Being able to shop onsite and have great food without driving anywhere is amazing. We could enjoy a drink at hotel bar and then go to watch the dancing water show in rocking chairs provided. We also went to Dollywood and it was great too. Also the staff was very helpful and rooms are amazing. Will definitely come back again. Fun place for all ages!! The only negative thing would be parking away from hotel. We didn't mind the walk and they have valet parking if needed.
All rooms are on second floor. Our room/balcony overlooked village below. Rooms were spacious and beds are very comfortable. Nicely decorated. Nice private pool/bar area for guests on second floor. Great views. So many things to do/places to eat within short walking distance.
Location is perfect for strolling the parkway, dining, shopping, relaxing, and having an awesome time with your friends. The rooms are very comfortable and excellent house keeping. The hotel needs more room for checking in or needs to stagger check in times. We had to wait in our car in line for about 30 minutes to unpack, get valet service and check in. Also, disappointed that the gas to the fireplace was cut off on 4/1. The weather was unusually cold and it would have been very nice to be able to use the fireplace. We normally come in September when its 90 degrees and the fireplace is on but we have never been able to use it. Need to gauge it by the weather and not by a date on the calendar.
Bathroom was awesome
Beautiful rooms. Great pool and atmosphere. Tons to do and see within a short drive. Could offer breakfast for the price. I would love to see the pool balcony open to adults only after the pool closes. Entire island shuts down at 11.
Very nice staff, brand new, lovely setting, family friendly, off the main drag so it is not noisy, plenty of activities Room wasn't ready @4:00 pm...but by 6:00pm after speaking to Curtis...MOD...he took great care of us...shout out to him!
fireworks and smokes every night, pool, shuttles to Dollywood, felt like I was on a cruise, my 8 yr old son loved his bunk beds!
Room was clean and very spacious. In-room whirlpool tub was relaxing. Staff was very pleasant to deal with. Balcony was covered with spider webs. Fireplace in the room didn't work. There was an issue with the elevator as we left out so we resorted to walking down then climbing 5 flights of stairs.
My family didn't like anything about this hotel The hotel was NASTY we walked into the office and there was roaches all over the floor. We thought we would give them a chance and went to the rooms. The beds had blood in the creases of the bed along with bugs. We immediately went to the lady in the office and she called us a liar so we asked for our money back (we booked three rooms for five days) she refused to give us our full refund and charged us for one night per room and was really rude about it. I will never ever recommend this place to anyone.
The food choices were excellent. Th shows were funny and entertaining. Some very good talent. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. Our room was clean. The staff was nice and very helpful. Traffic was very heavy. There are alternative routes.
The rooms was great i took my fińace and my brotherand his girlfriend down for the weekend had no problenms The indoor pool is to small and the outside pool wasn't open small trade though for good rooms
They waited for us to check in before they closed the front desk. Low to no staff, dirty overall, very outdated, the pool was closed due to costruction, the whole facility was under construction. My wife and I pulled up and jusy said " oh no" it was midnight we were tired and we were going to have to go in.
The river view , jacuzzi tub, and fireplace The bottom outside of the toilet wasn't clean and the balcony outside was full of spiders at night. Other than that it was very peaceful
We were really excited to be traveling for the weekend just to get away. The pictures online make the motel look very nice. Once we arrived, we noticed that there was only ONE pool open, although online it seems there are TWO functioning pools. Of course the one that was open was absolutely packed! When we finally made our way to our room, it wasnt too bad; I have stayed in worse, but you could tell it had hardly been actually cleaned in some time now. As far as the price though, guess we just got what we paid for. I personally will probably spend a little bit more money and stay somewhere else next visit!
The Jacuzzi tub Everything was poorly maintained. The door to outside patio didn't latch.
The outdoor pool is shut down and green . Looks like a frog pond!!! The hotel is pet friendly and we had a dog turd on our balcony upon check in and one in the carpet right by the dining table!
Loved the hot tub. Room was bright and for the most part clean. Room was evidently cleaned very fast. Beds were sloppy. found a childs sock under the front of the bed skirt. But everything else was ok.
I didnt pay what the rooms actully go for thank goodness. We read on line it had breakfast, it doesnt and when asked the staff were rude. They advertise 2 pools, there is only one and it is small.
The room was large with two king comfortable beds and jacuzzi in room. I loved the bacony to watch the tubers and the geese in the river. Great location too and very quiet. My pet dog loved it too. The windows were large to view outside activity. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Enjoyed our stay plan on returning here one day. The only thing i didn't like was the elevator smelled of urine r cholrine couldn't decide. Carpets need to go just plain floor would work.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! Breakfast was full and great every morning. The pool and hot tub was warm/hot and we loved that the pool was heated and indoor so you can swim year round regardless of rain or snow!! Rooms were cleaned daily and the river behind the property with the covered gazebo and grill/picnic tables was great along with the duck feeding area! Plenty of parking and not to mention this is right off veterans blvd which is within walking distance to The Christmas Place and many other great places on the strip in pigeon forge! Best location, loved our stay and we will be back!! The only thing we didn't like was that we had to go back home.
Great place to stay. We will definitely be back!
Closeness to everything, being right next to Christmas all year round, clean, easy to get to, easy left turn due to traffic light placement, on the water, storage in room/size of room, being able to change shower from rain to massage/multiple setting shower head, hot shower, good breakfast No ventilation in bathroom, no variety in breakfast (same stuff served every day)
I have stayed in a lot of hotels and am fairly picky. I read the reviews and look at the pictures online. Econolodge exceeded my expectations in every way. Better than some Clarions I have stayed in, for half the price. Beautiful facility, very well maintained. Pretty lobby, excellent breakfast area and I loved the food. Small room but very comfortable, nice decor and everything very clean. A fridge and microwave and coffee maker. Nice flat screen TV and many channels. Pleasant courtyard outside our room. A pretty river next to the rear parking lot. Very friendly staff. Location is right in the middle of Pigeon Forge strip, next door to Christmas Place. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough!
I liked the location and the pool The staff was extremely rude and the rooms don't get cleaned after each person.
Offers a reasonably comfortable bed for an overnight stay. Breakfast was very good. The location was good. The room was electrically challenged. It did not have outlets near enough to the bed for our cpap equipment. Lamps didn't work
The staff was great, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. Even though it's up the hill and off the highway, the road noise travels straight up there. More than you would expect.
Very nice staff. The indoor pool seemed very dirty. The shower curtain was dirty at the bottom. For almost $--- for 1 night, I kind of expected more.
Enjoyed the view of the mountains from our room. Hotel were very clean and the hotel were laid out well for me. Will be coming back here to stay!!
Very clean rooms

gave us a room with two queens and one cot at no extra charge hotel pool was closed and hot tub was filled in
Staff was excellent. Love the location.
It was easy to find, has comfortable beds, and was very clean. WiFi was down the entire time.

We had to check in early that day, so they put us in an available room that had not been used in 24 hours. Later when we told the management about our room problem (terrible odor) we were promptly put in another room. We checked in early initially and noticed that everything seemed to be damp. We thought maybe the maid had just left and perhaps the rugs had been steam-cleaned. The a/c was off and the humidity high. Because we were on our way to a funeral we dropped off our luggage and left. When we got back to the room, the place was still damp and smelled of animal urine. It was too late for us to change rooms and we notified the desk the next morning. They changed our room, did not comp us and were put in a smoking room. They said that the first room was not a pet room and that shouldn't have happened. The staff needs to keep the a/c on or at least check rooms before putting people in them when they've been closed off for awhile w/o a/c.
the staff was friendly and quick to fix problems it has smoking rooms
On check in, the desk lady gave us a free upgrade to a queen room instead of double. She. Was very welcoming and friendly. The morning staff the next morning were cheerful and friendly. We stay here every time we pass by the area (at least 4 times a year.) rooms are clean and comfortable and you can't beat the price!
The location is good. Easy to get to off the interstate. My husband and I felt like there were bugs crawling on us all night. We did check the bedbug website and it said that there were not any. My husband did however see a cockroach in the bathroom. The breakfast we did not want to touch after our friend we found in the bathroom. We will find somewhere else to stay next time.
The Black Fox Lodge is tucked away back from all of the busy traffic of the main "strip" in Pigeon Forge, which we loved. Most hotels there are in the middle of the the flashy lights and constant traffic, but you turn off of the main road and you're greeted by a secluded, gorgeous lodge that feels like it's in its own little world. The details from the moment you drive up are amazing, and walking into the lobby is an incredibly impressive sight. There is a small river behind the hotel, and the rooms that overlook it are a lot of fun. The buffet style breakfast was far above the continental breakfast of most places, and the staff was all extra nice. Easily our favorite non-Disney hotel now, and we will absolutely be back. There was construction on the other side of the river making noise during the day, but that wasn't the hotel's fault and it's just temporary. The parking lot fills up very fast at night, but I think it's just that so many people have found and love this place and stay there.
Location was great have stayed here 2 other times and was great then. Checked in went to room and it hadn't even been cleaned. Then the next day they took all the towels and they never cleaned the room that day nor brought back any towels had to go and get our on towels.
Loved the location, price, free breakfast, and the rooms. Wifi didn't work half the time. Chain broke on door.
Location Bugs in room, duct tape in shower, wash cloths plugging holes in ceiling tiles, staff not friendly or efficient, ice maker not working, no parking due to concert being held in parking lot.
Every one at the front desk was nice and polite After reading some of the reviews thought it was going to be a bad place, ask the front desk if we could see the rooms before we checked in. They gave us the room keys and allowed us to check the rooms out, everything was in good shape.
I like the convenience of everything near by. I didn't like, that a i wasn't able to have internet in the room.
Nothing, I can't imagine a worst hotel room. Non-Smoking room that smelt like people were smoking in it the day before. Matress had springs coming out of it. It was loud all night. The fridge was pulled out of the cabnet to place a microwave on top that clearly had a cigarette burn through the top. Bathroom was wet when we got there and had plaster falling from the ceiling when we showered.
The location is the best you can find for all the attractions! The wifi wasn't that great.
The staff was very friendly, the rooms were great and the location was great also.
I liked that the room was ready earlier than stated. It was quiet during the night and we slept well. I was surprised that they were full to capacity most of our days but still very quiet. For the money, I will book here again. No problems at all. The only thing that we experienced was the free wi-fi was not good. We only got a signal one night. That is usually not a problem but still had some work-related business to check on during the week and could not get a connection.
My husband and I walked to the island and even several shopping centers. It is very centrally located to lots of fun things to do. Perfect for pushing our son in his stroller instead of taking the time to pack him up into the truck. Pool was very nice but needs more shade for little ones. Only two small umbrellas were available. The place was an older hotel but you can tell they were doing updates to it. There were several flat screen tv boxes in the dumpster that was close to our room so you could tell they were in the process of doing some updates.
The fron desk staff were nice. Chemical smell was so bad that We had to change rooms. I have been sick since being in the room. Neither room was even close to clean. We went to another motel and stayed the next night. Breakfast was not good. The staff were nice and that is about all that place has going for it.
i have no idea. i have no idea how kayak got involved but the confirmation came through as hotel.com for 454.00. this booking was for my daughter and her husband for their anniversary. luckily i called the resort the next day to make sure they would be able to check in since it was under my name and not theirs. well they had nothing in reserved! no rooms available. sooo.. i called hotels.com and they were great in correcting the problem and helped me get an even nicer resort and paid the difference. i will never use kayak again. i will directly call book straight thru to hotel.com next time so this never happens again. so glad i called ahead. dont know...didn't get to go!!!
Parking garage and elevator were very convenient. Hard to find luggage carts. Shower didn't work right.
This is our second stay at Clarion Inn Dollywood. The first visit was pleasant and this trip was the same. Our room was clean, the desk staff was very good and the breakfast buffet was amazing. The door closure in our room is not calibrated correctly. Instead of closing slowly it slams as soon as you let go of it. There is no delay. This needs to be repaired before it injures an adult or small child.
The room was spacious and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel staff was nice and helpful.
This hotel was a great bargain. It has 2 hot tubs, a large indoor pool, an outdoor lazy river and a waterside. The continental breakfast was fantastic and they have complimentary cookies and popcorn each night. They also have complimentary water (flavored and regular) available 24/7. There is also a spa located at the hotel with a ton of services. Each staff member was so pleasant and welcoming. Location is great. We have found our new favorite hotel in OF! NOTHING!!!
Cleanliness, breakfast Nothing
Location was good and close to attractions. Very clean. Had a problem with the hair dryer and they fixed immediately Not very quiet, could hear everyone talking loudly as they passed by our room. Curtains didn't close all the way. Pillows were not comfortable
having two queen beds that were very comfortable the air conditioner put out a bad smell
Perhaps the coziest stay that I've had in the area. The staff is wonderful! Very convenient to everything. I will stay here again.
Location Breakfast was great, but had to cross 4 lane highway to get it! Had room by elevator ... noise.
Everyone was nice rooms were amazing. Pool was nice n clean.
pool staff location awesome wifi slow
Comfortable beds and friendly staff. Within close walking distance to restaurants and The Island.
Room, fireplace, bed, location, heated pools and water slides Pricey,
We loved having a 2 bedroom- 2 bath condo. The water parks are great. Wonderful location for all the fun events. Helpful staff. WE ALL HAD A GREAT VACATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All was good.
The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was also nice to have cups of a usable size and the ability to make ice in the room. The "queen" size bed was anything but that. The water flow in the shower was weak and spotty and the bathroom supplies provided left a lot to be desired. We were staying for two nights, but our keycards were deactivated at check-out time the morning after we arrived, which wouldn't have been so big a deal except that the front desk was in another building so we had to drive over, get new keys, then drive back just to get something out of the room we forgot.
Over a six night stay, we were able to get very comfortable. Loved having a washer and dryer in my unit. Loved the lazy river, that was salt water and not chlorine. Met many unhappy families at 6pm waiting long hours trying to check their families in. This is a normal problem here and we saw families waiting in lobby on other days of our trip as well. Apparently they have a long term shortage of housekeeping staff for their two huge buildings. Bring your own towels, dish detergent and clothes detergent...and coffee. Maid will come in to take trash and wet towels, but that is it. Have your own towels on hand in case she does not arrive by the time you need more towels Unit had had a smoker in it previously. All of our clothes smell like smoke. We worked hard on trying to air out our unit during our stay. Bad WiFi kept kicking the kids phones off. Only lobby has fast wi fi.
I loved the staff and how well maintained the property was. That I couldn't say another night. I had a great time.
We love the pool and the room was very spacious and hotel staff was so nice The shower but told the staff and they said it would be took care of
Location is second to none. Away from the busy road, but within five minutes of several attractions, eateries, and the interstate. The facility itself is in need of updating. Carpets are stained, air conditioner is wall unit and older, bathrooms are very small and need remodeling.
The bed was comfortable staff was rude room had a smell remote for tv didn't work.
The price was good. Hmmm, well, the first thing we noticed is the very outdated furniture and bedding. Looks like it's from the 70s, cobwebs in the bathrooms, the outlet in the bathroom wouldn't run a hair dryer. The lap plug- in was held in the socket by a piece of scotch tape. Towels felt like sandpaper and the ice machine was on the other side of the hotel. It's half the price as others though..... it was bearable for me, not sure my girlfriend appreciated it though.
Blood in elevator, rooms not ready, sheets appeared dirty. Couldn't stay there. Went somewhere else.
The bed are great... you just want to stay all day in these bed.
It was cool to check out float tubes for free and float down the creek beside the hotel. Go cart track, arcade, and restaurants are all within walking distance. The pictures made it look like we would have more space in the rooms but It was essentially a regular hotel room with the bathroom in between the beds. The AC unit was on the wall at the entry door so the bed area by the balcony didn't get very cool. The AC unit also leaked and made the carpet by the bed sopping wet. The Wi Fi signal was HORRIBLE, and was useless! There is only one elevator and was very slow and small. You have to walk across a public street/road to get to the office and to the pool. The mattresses were so worn out it felt like they would break in half. I'm usually not so negative but it really was disappointing for our family on vacation!
Good room for the money. Love the River view and location. Chairs on balcony needed cleaning but were not so bad that we could not use them.
The view was great. Balcony was nice over looking stream. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Our room was big with two Kings and the view of the creek outside was nice. Air was cold and there was a microwave and mini fridge in the room which was helpful. It seemed very family oriented as there were kids playing outside a good bit of the time we were there. It is in Pigeon Forge, but closer to the Gatlinburg side, so it's easy to maneuver to each location. Staff was very helpful when we needed them. No one cleaned our room our first day there so we had to contact the staff late at night for towels and toilet paper, but they helped us out quickly. They did clean our room the second day, but they also took one of my daughter's pillows...which we never saw again. The room is big, but it's laid out in a strange Jack and Jill bathroom format. The toilet and shower are in a bathroom, with a door. The sink and mirror are in between the two Kings, so it's nice to have some separation, but the way it's divided is odd.
Staff at desk were great. Cleaning staff were another story. Chargers for my electric items were stolen. They cost close to $20.00 a piece and there were 4 of them. One being to my cell phone and I don't know how much it will cost.
I like the location, the price and everyone was very friendly. I also like the way the room was setup beds far apart with vanity in the middle. The view of the trailer/RV park and breakfast was just okay, not great.
My room was never cleaned and no clean towels.
Very nice and friendly staff. Easily accessible, close to everything. Great view of the river. Good stay overall. Balconies, not very private. There is a mesh metal between each balcony, you can see right through.
I liked being by the creek. Parking!
The divider of the room which is the bathroom. Limited parking under the building but it has a parking lot near the front office. Thanks for a pleasant stay, we had two rooms for our invited friends to stay.
