Pros: The receptionists served us very fast and efficiently. The cleaning ladies, were very kind and accommodating. The room was very clean and quite, and also fully equipped. The amenities were more than sufficient. Plenty of bottled water, tea, american coffee etc. The phone operator for room service responded very adequately and very quickly, every time we had a request. The location is downtown with many restaurants, shops etc. next door.
Cons: Sometimes, we could not find our room WiFi connection.
Pros: I had a wonderful stay at the Golden Eagle Summit Hotel. It was a very clean and comfortable room and the staff was very helpful
Cons: Room was hot , air con didn’t work even after they tried to fix, for five star you would expect better
Pros: Disponibility of the staff during this difficult period
Cons: Failures precision’s for a five stars hotel. Heater doesn’t work. They don’t change rooms or surclassement and only propose a mobile trolley heater. First day, breakfast wasn’t already in the restaurant, that we order the last day. We must wait in the room during the preparation. The second day, twenty minutes later breakfast, 8:50 am in place of 8:30. Reception don’t call us. It was our Honey Moon, announced before, without intention from the hotel
Pros: Central location, nice and spacious rooms
Cons: Some of the staff need some training on English language for international guests; reheated stale food often served in the otherwise sumptuous buffet, you would not expect that from a supposed 5-star hotel
Pros: The location was ideal and it was one of best kept hotel I've managed to stay in, (most of my hotels are 5 star). Meticulous attention to detail.
Cons: All was excellent. Keep up the great work.
Cons: Hotel is not really apt for international travellers as the staff's English speaking capacity was limited. Also, they had problems finding our reservation

Pros: Very good & comfort hotel
Pros: The Spa was wonderful
Cons: The air conditioning was only providing heating in November, but last Sunday , the temperature reached 29/30 C during the day. The room was like a oven. Called the management, and the answer was , the cooling system is off since the beginning of November. Terrible for a 5 stars hotel . Why switched off the cooling system in Nov , so early?
Pros: Room was spacious and clean, the beds and sofa were very comfy too, Check in was swift and service of staff was generally quite good. For the price we paid, it's worth it.
Cons: The property is quite huge and signage wasn't the clearest. Had some difficulty locating the fitness centre and breakfast venue. Also as this property has many different blocks, the walk from the hotel lobby to your room might take some time. If you have many/heavy bags, it will be quite tiring to drag it across the different blocks. For convenience, you might want to request for a room nearer to hotel lobby (think it's block 5 and below). Hotel is not conveniently located near any malls or restaurants, hence will need to get a taxi to get out of hotel.
Pros: always get mislead by staff that we cannot eat breakfast and cannot use the executive lounge
Cons: some of the eating place staff are not friendly

Pros: I got upgraded to a suite, very nice!

Cons: It needs a refreshment with a more modern style.
Cons: 1. Room had mosquitoes and they attacked me at night. 2. Non-smoking room but had smoke smell. 3. Very noises.
Pros: Check in and check out was very efficient, foods in the Chinese restaurant was good, house keeping staffs done a very good job, executive lounge provided kind services, last but not least, head cook and all the cooks cook an excellent egg omelette during ours five days stay.
Cons: Air conditioning in the room could not get lower than 23 degrees centigrade, but by opening the window to let the cold breeze from outside in, temperature can get lower a few degrees.

Cons: The variety of the room service could be improved a bit especially the 7/24 one; The window of the room were a bit dirty and also the sofa

Pros: Breakfast was good but more Western food would be nice.
Cons: The toilet in the room did smell bad.
Pros: Their room was super clean and very comfortable!
Cons: Location could be the only negative point if I were to choose because subway/bus stations were not very close (but they seemed to be creating a new subway line right now). Taxis in China are very cheap using DiDi though!
Pros: The room and the grounds of the resort were beautiful!!! Would highly recommend!!!!
Pros: Everything!!! Service from staff is beyond exceptional. Attend to every concern and need. Room was gorgeous. Buffet spread was amazing!! Scenic view of mountains!
Pros: Location, walking distance to shopping center and there are lots of food store around there. Near MRT station. 40 mins to airport by taxi around RMB90. Room , good enough for 2Adults and 2 small kids. 2 beds (1350w) . Both room and bathroom are very clean. Food, breakfast is a combine eastern and western. Very nice local food provided during breakfast.
Cons: The breakfast was strictly for Chinese, there was no food made for international travelers
Pros: I'm like the breakfast, variant choice, cleanliness of the room, nice location which nearest to the mall
Cons: Any changes thru booking was not notice by the staff, I'm would like to bring up to your attention Base to my booking list under pin no 8837 for 2 room & pin 9535 for 1 room, both was charge as CNY 484.73 x 6% x 10% = CNY565.20 including breakfast the room charge should be CNY565.20 but why Horizon Hotel is provide room for me which is CNY655.20 which is different with my booking details It mean that any amendment via booking was not aware by the hotel staff
With a stay at Fairyland Hotel Kunming Nanping Pedestrian Street Baida in Kunming (Kunming City Centre), you'll be within a 10-minute walk of East Pagoda and West Pagoda. This hotel is 1.4 mi (2.3 km) from Tuodong Stadium and 1.5 mi (2.4 km) from Cuihu Park.
Cons: The spa, gym, and pool had already been under construction for 5 months and no date for reopening was set. So, it would have been fair not to advertise with these facilities.
Pros: Very clean with no cigarette odour, nice breakfast, nice food at Chinese restaurant, room bigger than other hotels, friendly staff.
Pros: It felt like a luxurious, high quality, well equipped establishment. It was a mere five minutes walk to a subway station on line 2 and within walking distance of a beautiful Daoist temple and city museum. We had a great view of the city by night from the 30th floor and a huge bathroom that included a bath and shower. A lovely comfortable bed from where we could watch Singapore CNN or America CNN, and as satellite TV is not always available, I felt pampered and extremely comfortable. There was even an electric socket that didn’t require an adapter! Staff were really helpful and arranged a driver to take us to the Stone Forest where we spent a fantastic morning.
Cons: Nothing negative to say about this place.
Cons: few things
Pros: Staff very helpful, breakfast was better than I expected. Location of hotel is ideal for getting around. Old style of hotel is modernised to a very high standard. Would stay again, and recommend the hotel.
Cons: The walk up the up to the front of the hotel.
Pros: Walking distance to train station, clean room and comfortable sheets
Cons: Surrounding area wasn’t that great, basic food and amenities. But stayed here to be close to the station as I had a morning train to catch
Pros: People speak poor English, no possibility to get money from ATM machine with European credit cards
Cons: They check room before guests check out
Pros: 15mins drive to the Kunming Flower Market, we were there on business trip. So it was convenient for us.
Cons: WIFI is not that good.
Pros: Good clean & comfortable bed. There was no toilet roll available when we arrived. This was soon rectified. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Public transport was easily available. Staffs were friendly & highly professional.

Pros: The whole service, the rooms, the bed, the breakfast on the club floor. Just great. Next visit to Kunming - this will be my place.
Cons: There was nothing to complain
Pros: Very close to Kunming South Train station(10mins by taxi) so it was convenient transit night for my wife & daughter who stayed there for the night on their way to Shilin. The staff at concierge, especially Mark so very helpful. He tried to help my wife &daughter book highspeed train ticket to Shilin on his mobile but when it was fully booked (holiday season) he gave them very clear instructions on how to get the bus.
Cons: When they arrived late at night & requested room service, quite a few dishes on the menu weren't available. Then we the meal was delivered , they were expected to pay upon delivery and not able to charge it to the room account. Odd for a hotel of that calibre.
Pros: Facility well maintained and staff are very friendly and helpful even during an extremely busy breakfast time. Location is perfect for us as we need to go to Kunming south for high speed train.
Cons: Sometimes the elevators can be super smoky because of some guests smoking indoors even that’s strictly forbidden by the hotel.
Pros: We had problems on arrival - room too hot and not what we had asked for. However, staff tried their best to change our room and look after us. We stayed three times over xmas new year period. The staff learned fromnour requests and improved their service. It seems they are not used to foreigners and their requests. The main advantage of this hotel is the proximity to Kunming South station - and the shuttle bus pick ups. Breakfast served in Executive Lounge on 17th floor was excellent - and staff were helpful and kind.
Cons: There is very poor communucation between staff generally. Our request for some tea cups and milk involved five different visits to our room. Also, despite mistakes being made with our room booking we were charged more than room service prices for a beer (this should have been complinentary). Overall, staff seemed to learn from our misfortunes (!)and improved each time we stayed. However, we had to work hard to train them - even though we were the guests. The food served for dinner buffet on first floor was awful. I would not recommend eating here.
Cons: The hotel staff did not speack english
Pros: everything else
Cons: the staff don't speak English very good it is very hard to Communicate with the staff
Pros: Location was a little out of the city centre but it was closer to Kunming South Train Station. Room and bathroom were both a nice size. Very clean with nice bathtub. Staff were very nice, polite and tried to help. Subway station close by.
Cons: Staff could speak better English for an international, business class hotel. Communication was difficult. Location was not very central to city centre.
Pros: Good personnel, high quality beds, clean rooms
The hotel is next to Kunming Golden Eagle Shopping Center and dongfeng plaza, it takes only a few minutes to walk to nanping pedestrian street and jinma biji square. Hotel not only hopes to bring comfort and convenience to guests by showing modernity, intelligent room control system, smart toilet, top mattress, linen, bluetooth multi-function telephone and wireless network, but also wanna provides a unique and personalized experience to guests.
Pros: This was a great hotel! Really close to the metro and within walking distance of the park and temple - perfect location. The room was really spacious, clean with an excellent bathroom. Staff were lovely. Highly recommend!
Pros: Clean and friendly staff
Cons: Comp Breakfast
Pros: The super clean white bed sheet n towel. Great matress too
Cons: If U R looking htl with excellent location, then U got the right one. This htl located walking distance to all your shopping destination, also near to greenlake
Pros: Convenient location. Easy access to the shopping street.
Cons: Floor around the bed area could be carpeted. We travelled during winter and it was cold on the ceramic tiles flooring.
Pros: The room is big , confortable and clean. I really appreciate all the girls at the reception , they have been so nice and helfull, one of them take me to the bank because I have had trouble to get some cash ... they don't speak english but we managed very well with the mobile phone. Don't hesitate, it is a good address !

Located in Kunming (Kunming City Centre), Green Lake Hotel is within a 5-minute drive of Cuihu Park and Yunnan University. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The general staff attitude is good. The room service is very good. Provide different types of pillow to make the customer rest well. Fruit basket to welcome customer is greate.
Cons: The service of the breakfast restaruant should be improved.
Pros: The hotel location is absolutely perfect, you cannot be more central, and the view on the lake is great. The breakfast is amazing, fresh and abundant. The rooms are very comfortable, the gym is nice and well equipped, and there is a pool. The staff of the hotel is considerate and nice.
Cons: During one day, there was no hot water in the hotel from noon to 8pm, and there was no compensation at all for that, just a notice received beforehand, and a very polite attitude of the staff, but considering the standards and price of the hotel, I find it a bit surprising.
Pros: Excellent location, near Green Lake (cuihe) Park, where people so tai chi in the morning and dance at night. Staff very helpful in every respect Hotel has very nice pool.
Cons: In-room tea not free. Lobby coffee/tea overpriced. More of a large business hotel
Pros: The concierge whose English name is Frank, was particularly helpful. He recommended the "Expedetionary Force" Museum on the other side of Green Lake Park from the Hotel. The museum shows WWII in Kunming in which US and China fought side by side. When we returned to the hotel, he served us tea in WWII American military white tin cups with the blue edging which now had the Hotel Logo also imprinted on the cups. In Kunming, at the bus station, I saw police officers with "Flying Tigers" on the back of their uniforms. The Park is a wonderful place to stroll and see particularly elderly residents of Kunming enjoying exercise-dancing. The weather was pleasant and sunny for our trip in early January. Bill & Noblet Danks, USA
Pros: Excellent services! Definitely the best hotel in Kunming.
Pros: Very clean and enjoyable.
Cons: Conference area has smoking areas inside(2nd floor). Lobby and the room I stayed in was non-smoking.
Pros: Staff was nice. Spa was great.
Cons: Wifi was terrible.
Pros: Location, service, facility
Pros: Opposite the amazing Green Lake Park and my room overlooked this. Magnificent views. Breakfast was excellent and room was comfortable. It is a very local style hotel so be prepared for that.
Cons: Don't bother with the massage as the lady I had didn't have any idea what she was doing - complete waste of time!

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
Pros: Very good location near lake. Great terrace. Good coffee. Friendly and helpful staff. Tasteful decor. Loved the bathroom and underfloor heating. Would definitely recommend.
Cons: Nothing, though I would have liked the food to be a tad cheaper.
Pros: I stayed in the female dorm room. It was perfect for my needs.
Cons: No guest kitchen facilities. They have a great restaurant though.
Pros: Close to the park, shops and restaurants. Helpful staff who spoke English well. Super comfy beds.
Cons: It was nice to have a private bathroom for the 6 bed female dorm, but there wasn't much privacy. The toilet door didn't lock, or even close all the way.
Pros: Nice location and friendly, English speaking staff. Room was quite cold as didn’t have (or we couldn’t find) the heating.
Pros: The comfortable room, the location and the staff all made for a pleasant stay
Cons: Nothing really.
Pros: Underfloor central heating the warmest place in China best comfy beds in china

Pros: Loved the cleanliness and promptness of staff
Pros: Nice clean hotel at competitive price in a great location, at walking distance of Green lake and close to an MRT station
Pros: Clean, spacious, new/updated/modern, comfortable, within walking distance of Cuihu
Pros: Great area near the lake and close to a lot of landmarks
Cons: The staff took long for check-in.
Cons: A/C did not work properly. One night Could not sleep well due to malfunction of AC.
Pros: Room spacious
Cons: Hotel can't call taxi, have to take luggage n go outside main road to hail taxi.
Pros: The room was perfect, the location is amazing and we walk everywhere by foot
Cons: The stuff doesn't speak English and it was a little hard to contact with them
With a stay at Upland International Youth Hostel in Kunming (Kunming City Centre), you'll be within a 15-minute walk of Cuihu Park and Yunnan University. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and express check-in. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The location it’s really good just take the metro form the airport and continue take the bus . Good view for the decoration and the food in the lobby it’s really nice . Stuff it’s very hard working to clean everything I always seem that . But it’s a little bit cold in the common area cause didn’t open the air conditioner to keep warm or any other central heating to used . Stayed here a little bit cold but just personal feeling. Anyway it’s nice place to stay!
Pros: The hostel has an elevator, very cool :). Was clean and the stuff was very nice and helped me with the food delivery.
Cons: The bedroom has an electronic blanket that they didn't told me and it was hidden, I was sweating all the night until the next morning, when I removed the blankets and I saw it. Could be nice if they notice about this. The kitchen should close at 11pm and at 10.30pm was already closed so I needed to order food.
Pros: Nice staff and room.
Cons: Food and drinks a little expensive compare to the outside. The hostel booked train tickets for us but they did a mistake with our name, so we have been refused to the train : - we had to book and pay again an other one - The hostel which have received the refund of the first train is not ot able to give us back, they are not answering anymore to our emails.
Pros: I liked the building and the rooms. The staff on reception were pretty good.
Cons: Unfortunately the staff in the restaurant/cafe/bar leave a lot to be desired. The man is professional but the small girl with pigtails who acts like a 13-year-old cartoon character seems to throroughly dislike white foreigners. It was almost comical to see her being extremely friendly and laughing around Chinese and Korean guests and then her face instantly change to miserable and moody when she had to serve Westerners. Her behavior made me feel very uncomfortable indeed, and she needs to learn how to be professional. It's an "international" hostel - don't like Westerners (or can't at least pretend to treat everyone the same because you are there being paid to do your job)? Don't work there!
Pros: environment, decoration, people staying there
Cons: the room is too small
Pros: Good communication with staff. All are happy to help you and welcome.
Cons: Don't think so
Pros: The common areas and bar are very cozy and the vibe is very welcoming, you can either sit down and read on a nice sofa or play pool with more travelers. The shared rooms are also quite decent (with lockers, bed curtains, one outlet per person...). But he best thing is the staff, they are always very wiling to help.
Cons: There was only one shower for an entire floor and two toilets. Plus, the shower was in the patio, so it's not very convenient in winter. Some hostels in China include sleepers, shampoo, bath soap and free water but that's not the case here.
