Anonymous, Feb 2016 - La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ft. Myers-Sanibel Gateway
Pros (+) It was my goal to find affordable lodging near the beaches for a last minute get-a-way. The pool (heated, large) turned out to be a main attraction for my teens and they preferred to be at the hotel. Staff was friendly, helpful. Breakfast each morning was convenient and enough to satisfy the family. Rooms were quiet, dark and comfortable for sleeping.
Cons (-) Bathroom was damp, musty. Maids neglected floors with daily service and missed our room completely one day.

Anonymous, Jan 2016 - La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ft. Myers-Sanibel Gateway
Pros (+) The pre-check in service allowed me to have in the room things, such as extra pillows and towels, that I would have otherwise needed to ask for after checking in. The hotel location was good and the outside was kept up well. The bathroom was roomy and had a lot of counter space and room for 2 people in it at once, if necessary.
Cons (-) The room looked and felt old and needed some renovation. The mattresses were softer and a bit misshapen, indicating they were old. And the bathroom faucets, etc., had pitting and corrosion on the surface. It just seemed like it really needed some renovation considering the price we paid, which wasn't terribly expensive for a place so close to Sanibel, but we still expected an updated facility. The...
