There were cops all over the lobby trying to defuse a situation. It’s a weird spot, fortunately the game of telephone of booking from kayak via Expedia via getaroom.com got so screwed up there we never even wound up staying. They’d given my reservation away without notifying us, so we just had to go try to sleep in the airport. The Carpet next to our gate was probably better than sleeping at this ...

The breakfast was terrible. Powdered eggs microwaved sausage, cold hash browns. Plastic in the orange juice dispenser. Homeless woman in the lobby.

Pros (+) Quiet, clean.
Cons (-) Some staff were a little rude and not helpful. There was no bedding available for our sofa bed and staff wouldn’t give us any.

Pros (+) This hotel has the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in away from home. I brought my own pillow (everyone knows hotel pillows are awful) and slept 9 hours straight--unusual for me as I've suffered from insomnia for over two decades. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and spacious.

Pros (+) The room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for our purposes. The elevator near the lobby is not accessible due to renovations but the other near the rear of the building worked well and was very near our room and parking. Breakfast was very adequate and ALL of the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Cons (-) How many pets were around. Room had old-smoke or animal smell. Smoke odor in stairwell.

Pros (+) Long story short, AirBnB host and another hotel ruined the first two days of our long weekend. La Quinta Inn and the staff turned our trip right around to something we can recall fondly. The complimentary breakfast was great and the hot tub changed my mood.
Cons (-) The only slightly negative thing I can say is that the tv remote was a little wore out and I had to push the buttons hard. Other than that, everything was excellent.
