Was a good stay and decent free breakfast! Nice covered, heated pool! Would stay again. Only problem was the Elevator would not go down from the 3rd floor the morning we were to check out. They said someone was called to work on it. The Elevator didn't sound very healthy to begin with.
Enjoyed my stay...clean, comfortable and friendly. We are definitely coming back.
I had a good stay at the Best Western in Ladson. The Staff was very pleasant and welcoming. The rooms were clean. I didn't like the fact that checkout was at 11am.
Bathroom was old. Room furnishings was incomplete. Breakfast was just ok.
Very friendly! Very clean...would stay again. All was great
Easy access from interstate The staff attitude from reception onwards was very very bad. Whilst trying to book in I was ignored by 2 members of staff. On the 2nd day by 3pm the room still had not been replenished but the cleaner was watching out tv in our room while we had to wait in reception and then she only emptied the bins. There were wedding events on 2 nights and the guests were extremely noisy but the staff said it was not a problem. The party eventually moved into the bedrooms on either side of us and the noise continued until 6am. Do not stay here on a Friday and Saturday night if you want a good night sleep.
Close to pretty much everything The room was like staying in an ashtray. I bought my own deodorizer/ neutralizer spray for my stay, it made a bit more tolerable. Next time I will ask for a non-smoking room, I'll know better next time around. I'll keep my spray on standby. Breakfast was OK, at least it was offered and much more to offer than other places would have.
Decent breakfast included, friendly staff, location near highway, room layout, bedding was comfortable Air conditioning unit in room was extremely noisy and woke me up 3-4 times at night. Had I not had a sleeping toddler I would've asked for another room.
Staff was very accommodating. We checked in but our room wasn't ready (we were early). However, knowing we had two young and very cranky (sleepy) children, the staff member offered to call us as soon as a room was ready, which she did. I was impressed that she kept to her word. The breakfast was great, had more options for the low carb dieters. Room was extremely nice and beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. The TV in the gym didn't work very well. That's it though!
It felt like a suite Next door placed trash in the hall
Loved having two queen beds and a sleeper sofa! Very nice for a reasonable price!
Very clean and spacious suite! Absolutely would stay there again. Hotel was also clean and staff was nice for the most part. Checkout time was noon which was great because we stayed out late the night before!!
Hotel is very nice with great lighting and spacious. Breakfast is very good and light! King room are very nice with great sitting area. Room has a full mirror as well!! You will not be disappointed with your stay! The only thing I didn't like was the location of the hotel. Although you can see it from the interstate, it's in the cut once you get off the interstate.
Clean, well-taken care of hotel. Courteous, friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet that was continually stocked throughout morning.
I love the room that had a side living room, beds were comfortable but I love the shampoo and conditioner! Paul Mitchell- made my hair super soft! Nothing
The staff was incredibly polite and the room one of the cleanest I've seen. The beds were very comfortable as well. Really great experience! I'd highly recommend SpringHill Suites based on this stay. Having packets of instant grits available at the breakfast would be nice (and easy since there is already hot water).
The cleanliness and how friendly the staff was Everything was excellent
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Good bed. Quiet. Placement of tv was awkward.
The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. I had high expectations from the reviews. When we checked in the woman who helped us was not friendly at all. She basically just handed me a key and said your room number is in the packet. I had to ask to confirm if the room was a king or not. The room was nice when we got there. In the morning there were cock roaches in the bathroom in the floor and in the bathtub. I went to let the front desk know and the man working didn't seem surprised and just said he would let the manager know. I wasn't looking for anything off the bill, I just was hoping for them to say they were so sorry and that they would take care of it!
There was no restaurant in the hotel or even near this hotel.
The staff and room were first rate. Good breakfast, Had to go to lobby for a wi-fi signal, and the remote, even with good batteries, would operate the TV.
Couldn't even stay here because I was under 21. Staff was really rude about it and didn't even tell me how to go about getting a refund.
There's absolutely nothing to like about this hotel !!!!! The hotel is very old . It smells like a whole pack of cigarettes. I checked in around 4 am because I was traveling with my family .(husband,2 small kids) We checked in went up to our room and the sheets and pillow case were filthy! I called down stairs she apologized and said we could switch rooms. Guess what ? Those sheet and pillow cases were filthy as well . Long story we got our money back and didn't stay. Apparently they don't switch out sheets they just make the bed .
The staff wasn't too unfriendly. It's located in a seedy section of North Charleston. Sirens ran most of the night , as well as the trains, and it was right by the highway, so you can constantly hear the cars fly by. At 1am the power went out and the heat finally drove me out of the hotel, back into my car, and a two hour trip home in the middle of the night, Not happy.
Very nice helpful staff. Clean up to date rooms over all good value. No complaints.
It was anything BUT grand! Even though we'd already paid for our stay, we left 10 minutes after our arrival and stayed elsewhere. The hotel smelled heavily of smoked. And we were concerned about the cleanliness of our room.
The hotel is right by the highway and it took us about 10 minutes to get to the main part of King Street in downtown Charleston. The hotel is obviously a little old, but it has been renovated. I read reviews before I went. It seemed fine for a cheap, last-minute weekend getaway. One stated that the towels were "beige", and I assumed that person just got a bad set of towels. Nope. The ones in our room were old, stained, and rough. It wasn't that big of a problem, I just assumed that they bleach them.
Bed and bathroom was clean also the staff members are very friendly and helpful for the most part. Sirens up and down the road all night were a bit disturbing... Carpets in the room looked pretty gross and could definitely use some renovation
Nice people at counter Dirty and not well maintained
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nothing.
Room and hotel overall were very clean. Staff were very friendly and accomodated our requests no problem. Property was very quiet and set back off the road. Noise level overall was low even though some families with younger children were staying there as well. Very good value. Would definitely stay again. House keeping got started pretty early and on our first morning, after a 2am arrival, we woke to them trying to access the room- although the staff was very sweet and apologetic, I ended up having to stand in the hallway to sign a paper in order to decline the service (a bit awkward). Put up do not disturb sign after that and had no other issues. Refrigerator didn't work (forgot to report it!).
Overall upscale decor and cleanliness. Very helpful and courteous staff. Large rooms that are well furnished
Front desk personnel were great. Housekeeping was great. An excellent weekend rate. Wish property had a cafe/bar
At this point there are 3 pending charges to my credit card for this hotel. While I understand the standard room charge, it should not be on there twice. And at no point did I agree to a $134 charge to my card...over $300 total for a one night stay locked up on my credit card right now.
K ayak hooked me up with a vendor that isnt associated with Wyndham. my confirmation by Ka yak wasnt valid. luckily, the hotel accomodated at a cheaper price than advertised. getaroom is not associated with Wyndham, looks like Ka yak doesnt care who they share your info with.
The hotel overall was great. The room was excellent! The breakfast was pretty traditional. The customer service at check in was lackluster. The young lady that checked me in acted as though I was a hindrance to her.
Very convenient. Breakfast left quite a bit of room for improvement...Yes, it was free, but what was there wasn't appetizing. We always look for bfast included so we dont have to get dressed and rush out in the mornings.
Staff was wonderful.
Comfortable bed Refrain and microwave in room Friendly dining room staff Right across from Trident Medical Center Carpet stains $2 bottled water Breakfast was not great
I was only staying one night, but the location is close to food and the highway. They also give you the daily paper in the morning, which is a nice touch.
Great rooms clean and very modern. We got there late afternoon and decided to eat in there restaurant. The waitress hadn't the first clue. It all started with the drinks, she brought me out a bottled soda no glass at all. Then she brought out two cans for my wife and son they got glasses but no ice. Would have expected this for a low cost meal at a small swanky restaurant but $100 dollars + for burnt hamburgers which is a whole nother story. If there was a choice to leave a tip there shouldn't have been one left. But they automatically took a 20% gratuity. Breakfast is $15 for everyone no matter age or what they get. Great place to stay JUST DON'T PLAN TO EAT THERE.
Friendly service - cordial staff There was a mix-up, on our first night, with my companion's credit card which had not yet been settled by the time we checked out.
Breakfast was amazing. Nothing
this hotel was up to date with the latest luxuries in a minute T. The hotel was quiet staff was helpful and very clean! oh and the breakfast was out of this world great! I honestly loved everything there wasn't anything I didn't like
Nice room, clean linens. Great assortment for breakfast. Friendly staff. Daughter enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool. Couch with the pull out bed in the room was pretty old and worn. Didn't really want to sit on it.
Location made it easy to get around the city. The staff was wonderful.
once I finally got a room that was unoccupied and dodging drunks and the fighting trashy girls in the parking lot...the upgraded room was surprisingly good. Arrived late at night 10-11pm. It was in a bad neighborhood it was packed with many low life people in the parking lot drinking. Many were construction workers. Shouting/cursing and then a fight broke out between two trashy girls that looked like the Jerry Springer Show. I found a parking place and carried all of my gear and went to open the door and it was occupied. So I repacked and drove back to the desk and complained. She upgraded my room (suite w/ full kitchen) ..I drove/unpacked and went to the room (very tired driving 5 hrs) dodging drunks and the 2 girls fighting and of course the key card did not work. I called her and she came over and it was the battery in the door. Room was OK ...the floor was dirty. I had the room for 2 nights but checked out that morning...so the 2nd night I lost $. I will never go back here and would rather have my eyes gouged out with a rusty fork. I would like a full refund but I am sure that won't happen.
Very long check-in process.
Lots of room, full kitchen. Dirty floors and walls
The star rating and pictures on the advertisement were very misleading of the actual conditions of the Hawthorne. The rooms have been poorly remodeled and were not very clean, in fact a dirty towel was in the trash which appeared to have been used to "mop" the floors. Speaking of the floors they were soaking wet with water and hair not a place that you would want to walk around without shoes. When we complained about the cleanliness of the room another room was offered, this room was in worse condition with large sections of the ceiling falling down. To say the the neighborhood felt unsafe would be an understatement. My family and I stayed there only long enough to book another room in a safe clean hotel.
Room was beautiful and definitely had long term guest in mind. The location was hard for our taxi driver and two Uber drivers to find while we were there with their GPS on phones. Looked like they were do remodeling / repairs, so front desk/lobby was in a little disarray. Staff wasn't unfriendly, but wasn't friendly either (if you know what I mean). Room was beautiful and definitely had long term guest in mind (except bathroom which was missing lighting cover exposing electrical, with one of two lights burned out). Would probably stay again, just cause of the nicdneness of room & affordability, outweighted any negatives.
The area was convenient Floors were NASTY. I took a shower and walked across the floor and my socks were black.
The staff was ok. Bug infestation.
Location is excellent for business travel Facility was dirty and "old"...
Staff was initially nice but somehow forgot we existed. Had to ask on multiple occasions for clean towels and were even told we might have to bring the dirty one to the front desk. Not impressed with the staff!
everything else was fine for the money i was honestly shocked how nice it was The floor was somewhat dirty upstairs
I like that front desk was so nice I be in there almost a year ago and I come back last week just for one day business the beds are so comfortable but when I was ready to check out in the morning I would looking for something that I dropped make sure I don't forget anything and I found a women underwear on the back of the bed they have to be more careful on how they clean the rooms and make sure to check everything other than that I like that hotel is great and I will be back I have to
Everything about the hotel was nice. The decor inside was very nice and rooms were great. Breakfast was really good as well. Nothing.
staff friendly and professional, very clean and convenient to both airport and downtown Charleston nothing of note
Proximity to airport was convenient Bed was comfortable It was nice they offered a continental + hot breakfast Room smelled moldy Extremely bright lights from outdoor sign shined in room all night Room was just a little shabby and crowded Not a recommended location if you are vacationing in Charleston
Wonderful place to stay!! Great staff, rooms and breakfast!
I enjoyed my stay abeit brief
Hotel staff was friendly and everything was convenient. Nothing we did not like. Just the pool was not as inviting, by that I mean I could not tell if it was bad lighting or just different chemicals.
10 min before we got there, their elevator went out. They originally had us on the 3rd floor. Because of the inconvenience, the moved us to the 2nd floor and upgraded our room at no charge. We did not ask for that, they simply did it out of great customer service! The bed was a typical hotel bed...hard and not very comfy. But, that was to be expected. It was very clean, though!
Restaurant not good
Delicious Breakfast and Complimentary Drinks Beds were uncomfortable
Very friendly and helpful staff. Went out of their way to assist.
The room, the facilities, the breakfast, and the evening social were good. People in the courtyard were much too loud at 11pm. Their laughter echoes throughout the place.
Very clean, complimentary breakfast and happy hour both very nice. Great breakfast buffet, more choices than expected. The room was very nice and spacious. No fish in the water ponds. No one came in to replace the towels or fix the bed.
The room was clean & comfortable. Check in & out was easy. Breakfast varied from day to day & was really good. Nothing. Great stay.
Rooms were clean and bathroom was big! Great breakfast!!
Not too far from historical Charleston. Room was clean, bed was comfy, breakfast was great!
The staff was great and friendly. Nice change over some of the other hotels I stay in. Was my first stay in a HIlton2 and wont be my last. Love the room size!!
Courteous, accommodating staff Dirty sheets on bed when we arrived
Not much. Where to start. The website photos are very misleading. Instead of the two room suite we were expecting, we were given a single room with a curtain separating our sleeping area from the sofa bed. Our 8 yr old granddaughter spent two nights with us and house keeping didn't even make up the sofa bed. My wife and I slept several nights on the same bedding, and small pieces of trash on the floor when we checked in were still there after 7 days. I can only assume we were given sub par service and a lesser room because we booked at a discount rate. Will never stay here again!
I was there for a Conference and I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Tom was awesome - very friendly and helpful!! Breakfast was good and the coffee was wonderful!! I did not have any problems.
we enjoyed all the features offered by the comfort suite at this location.
Nice and quiet. Great breakfast bar.
Hotel is close to lots of restaurants,shopping..Staff were all very friendly.
Staff was friendly The bed was ridiculously hard. The air conditioner rattled all night .
Friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, quick check-in and check-out.
Appreciated everything about the Hilton after bad experience at another hotel the night before! Friendly, spotlessly clean, quiet, etc. Stayed in another Hilton the next night on our trip we were so impressed! Adjustable level of soft/hard on the mattress was nice!
Recent stay at this hotel. Good, clean room, good breakfast. truly a good value for the money Some airport noise, which was to be expected.
Everything was absolutely the best! The beds were super comfy, the decor was updated and soooo nice looking, and the whole hotel was very clean. I really didn't expect to be this impressed with this hotel but it blew me away. I would highly recommend staying here. None!
The staff was extraordinary! So nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious!
Very kind and helpful staff. One night stay for drive to Ohio. I would definitely stay again.
Extremely clean room ran out of toilet paper
It is a new and/or very well maintained facility with excellent breakfast, adequate parking, and a friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are proportionately large for the price, and they are nicely decorated, comfortable, with a great bed, adequate desk and work area, and nice bathrooms. It located well away from the downtown area, and it is a little hard to get out to the street if you are going back to the interstate. Taking a closer look, one can go out on a side street which meets the main street at a light. But coming straight out of the parking lot is difficult.
Strange bedroom/bathroom layout. I only recommend the type of room I stayed in to couples only. The shower has a wall connected to the bathroom only separated with opaque glass. When my fiancé was taking a shower and I was getting ready in the bedroom, I could definitely look into the shower and see her silhouette and her every move. You should only share this room with someone who you are very comfortable with.
Modern styling, unique layout Floor was wet by one of the beds, shades didn't fully close, busted window, strange ozone machine was running in the middle of the floor when we arrived, no breakfast included which is a big minus when you consider this was an upscale hotel and virtually every other chain offers breakfast these days.
We woke up to hammering and construction in all surrounding rooms. Minutes later a housekeeper knocked on our door, with a do not disturb sign hanging, to ask when we were leaving even though check out was not for three more hours. With the hotel maybe fifty percent full, it was unbelievable that they would place us in a room on a floor with so much construction going on. There was no sign of any construction when we checked in, but we had a hard time navigating the construction debris in the hallway on the way out. We will not be back.
The hdmi box did not work properly with the cord e brought and on the box it says you can get a cord from the front desk. Upon requesting a cord, we were told flatly they do not have them and that they do not have many issues with them. There was no offer to replace the box or remedy the situation. We requested the shuttle take us to a location (not the airport) & was told it would be ok by the bar (who spoke to the driver) but the front desk staff refused. Overall ehhh. Not the best, not the worst.
Location Needs upgrading In rooms
The hotel was located in the heart of north Charleston next to Tanger Outlet and the expressway. I also enjoyed the bar even though the drinks were extremely over price. The bartender was very professional with her skills. Well, for one the room that I purchase had holes in the shower section of the room. It looked like someone ripped something off the wall and lefted holes there. Its very big eye sore to see that. Im just saying, If I was running the hotel I would want all of my rooms flawless and if its not flawless don't use it until it is. The house keeping crew is VERY VERY LOUD in the morning time making it sound like your inside some school because of the talking, laughing and banging....
cool room bar is noisy and very active
Staff Bar Easy in/out & facilities
