I received a phone call 2 hours before my reservation advising me that there would not be a car available. The person on the phone said they were expecting a truck in 4 hours but didn’t want to promise anything. Also said I should call back later when she was off. I called at 5:45pm to get an update. Was left on hold for 21 minutes and then hung up on. I drove over there and saw at least 10 cars in the C slots. Once I got to the counter, there was no one there and they said “it was first come first served” When I pointed out that I WAS FIRST - my reservation was an hour earlier and no one else was there, all of a sudden there was a car available.

Flight arrived after rental car office was closed. No refund and reservation was cancelled because I wasn't there on time. Booked through Travelocity. Will never do that again.

Cons:

Car was dirty with food on steering wheel and center counsel windows were so dirty I had to pull over and wife a circle so I could see out of it. Vehicle was supposed to be Covid-19 safety sanitized with a sticker and no such thing. Also I reserved a SUV and ended up in an Nissan Altima and told “oh well it’s all we have”

Employee didn't know how to process my reservation with Apple Card. They were out of the type of car I reserved so gave me something very different and I didn't even know how to operate it and they didn't explain anything. I had to call Hertz to request a no-show refund because the employee just made a new transaction when he couldn't figure out how to use my actual reservation. Then all those delays with the card caused us to miss the event we were renting the car to go to so we had to waste a couple hours to do the event at a different time. It was really dissappointing.

The girl in Lafayette where I rented the car was extremely nice. The Hertz people in Nashvlle when dropping the car off were extremely RUDE. The car was ok not super comfortable but ok. The rAtes are outrageous. Also, I paI’d ahead for the car with a major credit card. You guy putting another $200 hold on my acct for days is unacceptable. I had already paid for the car. Ridiculous and I don’t like being told that AFTER I’ve already rented the car. I have insurance. No reason to do that.

They are scam artist behind the counter at LFT. They literally had the audacity to try to charge me for a broken windshield that I did not break. They have no cameras around the rental car area yet claimed it was my fault. Absolute trash employees and trash company, I will never rent from hertz ever again.

Cons:

My pickup was scheduled and confirmed for 2:00 on a Saturday. I arrived at 1:55 and the business was closed for the day. I took a cab back to the airport and rented from a different agency.

I've rented cars several times from several locations, my best experience ever. In and out very quickly.

Cons:

Location is very hard to get in and out of, traffic in Lafayette is horrible, but it was worth it.

Pros:

Because my flight was late they had to move my reservation to the airport branch instead of the off the airport branch and I ended up having to pay about $50 more bucks. The counter clerk was nice, he tried to get me some discounts. But their drop off location is in a weird lot that has you walk through the side of the airport and there is no one there to hand the keys to. So you go to the same counter you got the car from and of course they ask what your mileage was, like I know?

I was upgraded to a nicer vehicle so that was nice. I was charged more than the price i was given in my quote, a 4 percent credit card fee was added and an additional 21 dollars. The check engine light came on and went off twice on the drive . The front sensors went inoperable for part of the drive causing the cruise control to not work. Overall the ride was good and comfortable.

Upon arriving at the Alamo counterat Lafayette regional there was a sign that said 'no cars available'. I waited for the clerk to surface thinking since I had a reservation they would have one left. She told me that all cars were gone. I asked her what the purpose of. Reservation was if there was. no car upon my arrival. She said I could take a cab and request reimbursement I then had to rent a Ford Focus for $63/ per day from a competitor

Pros:

I experienced total loss with the flood in Louisiana, including 2 cars. Insurance is moving along incredibly slowly and apparently there was not rental included in our coverage. Therefore, I have to pay for everything myself. As a Realtor, a care us essential! While I will eventually be able to write it on taxes as a business expense I STILL have to pay for it. Not sure why no one seems to get that part! The affordability of the car and it's overall good condition is the KEY to my survival as a mom if busy children and an REALTOR trying to provide for my family.

Cons:

I reserved a convertible because we needed a parade car for my daughter. They confirmed the car in advance, but once I got there, NO CONVERTIBLE. The person working the counter was not the friendliest and acted as if it was not their problem. Very Disappointed with the whole experience.
