Pros: Loved the location, bed was nice and room was furnished well. Overall, a nice place to stay.
Cons: Bathroom a little tight. Door appeared to have been shaved so it would open pass the toilet. Door was not as clean as I would have liked...covered with hairspray or something, but everything else appeared clean. Breakfast could be improved. Not much selection. There was a party in a meeting room next to us that was a bit noisy, but not a problem at all. After returning from dinner is was over and the rest of the evening was quiet.
Pros: This is a great location -- on the water, within walking distance of restaurants (choose Duke's). Rooms are nice, very clean, have huge TVs, comfy beds, and offer views. I've always been treated well here and only stay elsewhere if they don't have room or if the price is too high. A decent free Breakfast is also served in a great little dining area.
Pros: Don't stay on the south end of the building. Parking lot and train tracks are super loud. You'll get no sleep. The north end of the building is over the water and much quieter.
Pros: The setting was beautiful with view of the water from the room. The room was comfortable.
The breakfast had quality food with a good variety of options.
The parking was excellent.
Pros: The atmosphere was the best. Cool breeze off Pugent Sound,
Jacuzzi tub facing the bay, fireplace to take the chill off when you get out of tub, high quality bedding, spectacular view. Enough said. Hot breakfast was above average, staff helpful and friendly.
If you are the Tacoma area do not miss this hotel. It is well worth it.
Cons: Only wish we could have stayed a second night.
Silver Cloud Inn Tacoma is located on the waterfront of Tacomas Commencement Bay. Every room offers panoramic views of mountains, various sea life, oceanbound shipping as well as pleasure craft. All guest rooms have high-speed internet access.
Cons: It's a little far from Seattle, but I'm assuming that's why it was so cheap. Traffic wasn't bad at all, and there were no issues.
Pros: - Indoor hot tub, pool, & cleanliness of the facility
- Next to Freeway & mall shopping
Cons: Distance from city center & a bit hidden away
Pros: The facility itself was just average but the staff....primarily the front desk staff made all the difference. The service there was world class.

It was hard to find the entrance from the street out front.

Pros: Nice hotel with high end look and feel. Comfortable beds and clean room with friendly and professional staff.
Cons: Cafe in the hotel had very limited breakfast menu, and kitchen was shut down for breakfast when we went there at 10AM. Found a breakfast place about 3 blocks away, but would be nice to have breakfast at the hotel.

Pros: This was our best B&B during our vacation tour over 3 weeks.Friendly homeowners, all what we promised. Thanks to hotel employees.
I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. All of the rooms are lovely with private bathrooms, owners are very cool, good restaurants and grocery store in walking distance, close to downtown, great neighborhood with awesome historic architecture, the B&B has lots of outdoor areas and indoor areas to sit, relax, play games, etc. I will definitely stay here again every time I come to Tacoma. Breakfasts were different each day, and extremely tasty, they will cater to your preferences for dietary restrictions etc. and will serve breakfast at the time of your choosing. Very friendly, clean, comfortable, I felt very at home, it couldn't have been a better experience.
Pros: So glad I stayed there! Owners Toni & Martin were so welcoming and hospitable, home cooked breakfasts were absolutely delicious, and the house itself is gorgeous, historic, and very unique, in an awesome neighborhood with great views from the many patios
Good location in a quiet street
Pros: Breakfast was great. Internet worked very well.
Cons: Shower water pressure was bordeline
Located in the Stadium-Seminary Historic District, the McCormack Mansion, built in the Italian Renaissance Style, was constructed in 1925 for James McCormack, an early Tacoma merchant and owner of the McCormack Brothers Department Store.
Pros: The breakfast was great, and made to order. The neighborhood was quiet and safe.
At The Villa Bed & Breakfast, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Museum of Glass and Tacoma Dome. Guests can visit the fitness center for a workout, and free perks include WiFi, self parking, and full breakfast daily. Also, this bed & breakfast is 5.2 mi (8.3 km) from Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium.
Cons: its like a 10 years old room...and still using glass cup...unbelieveable
Cons: During checking in and checking out staff was rude and impersonal. I felt like I was inconveniencing the front desk staff by simply checking in/out. I had no special instructions or request either. Two diffrent front desk staff, same experience. Beds were uncomfortable, loud tv's in both the rooms next to mine. Over all terrible experience.
Cons: My room requirements specified in advance, twice, were not met.
The room assigned to me had broken AC. I had to change rooms. Travelers are ifte TIRED by the time we arrive. Toi mych hassle.
Cons: I was 45 minutes away when I received a call that my room was not available. Had driven 4 hours at this point. Then they had nothing in the area comparable.
Pros: For the price I was pleasantly surprised with the convenient location, up to date rooms and decor, responsiveness of staff and the ultra clean appearance.
Cons: Can be tough to exit the parking lot to the west.
Pros: All were friendly and helpfull. Good free breakfast. Had snacks and papers out during the day. The fireside bistro was nice. Firepits, pool gym. Coffee always available. Luxury rooms and great bed. Anything you needed. Loved it.
Cons: Nothing. If I really had to come up with something the internet. It was fast enough but it would say offline but if you just waited about 3 minutes it would be running again. I still managed to stream a movie with just a few times it froze and then started running again.

Pros: Value - quality for the price.
Cons: Location wasn't easy to find among othet apartment buildings.
Pros: Super staff!
Cons: I called the staff about a noise I heard in my room; they investigated my complaint, discovered a defective refrigerator. It was immediately replaced and all was good to go.
Pros: Nice safe area, nice staff, good breakfast, although would have appreciated fresh fruit, big clean room, overall good experience
Cons: would've liked fresh fruit in breakfast
Pros: The location
Cons: The motel staff said my credit card had been rejected!  This room was prepaid! We were placed in a room with one bed even though I reserved a 2 bed room. We were placed in a room next to an exit and heard walking and slamming door all night!
Pros: Overall I was very pleased.
Cons: Breakfast was not as expected, no pastry.
Pros: large, clean room; free movie rentals with popcorn; great breakfast
Pros: I thought the room was the right size for us. TV, fridge, microwave, nice desk. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Had a nice office area for guest use.

Pros: A good place to stay while visiting my son and his family over the Christmas holiday.
Pros: rooms were nice
Cons: never received wake up call and breakfast to go as requested. The staff was nice but didn't follow through.
Pros: I appreciated the friendly and dedicated staff. The night clerk (I think his name was Charles) was very helpful and an credit to the hotel. He made our experience very pleasant. I also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast!
Cons: The bed wasn't the greatest. The mattress didn't seem to be very good and I didn't sleep particularly well. Other than that I was very pleased with this hotel.

Pros: Overall it was great. Very safe, nice staff, clean and comfy beds and rooms. Really liked the parking situation.
Cons: Only a couple of downsides: tv channel selection was mediocre. The breakfast was also limited. Slightly overpriced honestly.
Pros: Hotel is very clean staff was very helpful breakfast was awesome
Cons: Location was a little hard to find and the security while feeling safe made you nervous that they needed so much
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the desk people were really sweet. Check in was friendly, check out was perfect. Very polite, professional and happy to help.
Cons: There was hair in the shower, the room smelled like smoke and despite the do not disturb sign on the door, housekeeping entered the room four times in one morning. I had to yell, I am still in here while clutching blankets around my, ahem, birthday pajamas. Also, all but one entrance was gated and chained when I arrived after my event, which no one warned me about. I drove around in a bit of a circle until I found the one open and honestly felt a bit shaken walking from my car into the hotel. Despite the obvious need for strict security, I did feel that my car would be safe, since I could barely figure out how to get to the lot.
Pros: This is one of the best hotels I have ever used. The staff could not have been more helpful, friendly and eager to make us feel welcome. Everything was clean and comfortable. The location was convenient. No security concerns. I would absolutely stay here again.

Pros: The feel, the professionalism of the staff, the beauty of the hotel. I enjoyed the artwork.
Cons: I'd really prefer not to pay for parking, but it wasn't a horribly high rate either.
Pros: Rooms nicely furnished. Nice view. Quiet
Cons: Personal in restaurant could have been a bit more attentive. Waited a long time for second cup of coffee. Busy talking with each other. Not many people in restaurant so they had time to check on us.
Pros: Artwork, amenities, atmosphere, and food
Pros: Clean comfortable and they had bath robes. Pleasant staff.
Cons: Had to pay for parking but only a couple of bucks.
Cons: Thought we were getting a King but was two double beds. And the doubles were the same price as King. You would think for the price you pay it would at least have been two Queens. If we had not prepaid we would have gone to Best Western down the road. At least you would get King or Queen there. The faucet handle was sticky so must not have been cleaned properly and light bulb in lamp was burned out.
Pros: The unique glass art on each floor. We were on the 7th :).
Cons: The elevators.
Pros: Cleanliness of hotel, and the room service food was good, until it upset my stomach, then I did not like it so munch.
Cons: Cheap amenities. I have stayed at lesser hotels that had better beds, pillows, coffee makers, bathrooms and TVs.
This hotel is far too overpriced. I think I paid for all the art work instead of a quality room. I don't mind paying $300 for a room, but it should include good quality bedding at the least.
I will not stay at this hotel in the future.
Pros: The rooms were nice and clean, with nice views of Mt. Rainier.
Cons: The water didn't work either morning, so I was unable to shower.. only a small discount was given for this huge inconvenience. The oysters were served warm, so I had to send them back for fear of food poisoning. The elevators were broken and/or insufficient for a hotel with so many rooms. No one offered to help me with my bags. The refrigerator didn't work. I was surprisingly disappointed!

Cons: Arrived at the hotel on time at 2 am and learned they had given our room away.
The plan was to spend time with family at the hotel before my sisters funeral the next day.
We were told, that if a card holder...regular customer needs a room the hotel will bump someone who was reservations.
And there were no rooms in the area.
They wanted to put us in a hotel 10 minites away (really 20), it was a good thing we didn't do that because due to work on the freeway people coming to the funeral from that direction were an hour late.
We ended up waking up my grieving parents at 2:30 AM and sleeping on the floor at their house.
They did comp one night the next day, so what! I didnt want a free room, I wanted a room.
When my wife asked, " if had we not shown up would we have been charged for our room?" the woman behind the desk turned red and would not answer.

Our experience was a good one we would definitely look into staying here again. Our room was super clean, the girls working up front were very friendly.
Cons: First room we were put in the toilet was malfunctioning, which they had it fix while we were touring out in Seattle. After one flush it was clog again. They end up moving us to another room. Overall our stay was a good one.

Pros: TV not working. Desk attendant at 11pm switched TVs so we could use movie ordering menu.
Pros: We stayed on the first floor so I enjoyed the high ceilings and spacious room. We didn't get to have the breakfast but it looked really good. The room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable.
Cons: We stayed on the first floor at the end of the hall. We could hear anyone come in or out of their rooms. It made our room seem very noisy.
Pros: Friendly staff. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Free breakfast. Plenty of parking. Near shopping. Reasonable rates.
Cons: You can hear your neighbors. Rooms not sound proofed. I was awoken in the morning with loud conversation. The next night it was a dig barking. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

Cons: The room was extremely ugly and poorly set up. It was so bad that I never wanted to be in my room. The breakfast was below average. The entire hotel needs to be updated. Looking out the hotel window I saw a man PEEING in the public area behind the hotel!
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Pros: Location was fine, room was clean and well laid out, breakfast was very good and plentiful, price was right, staff (for the most part) was helpful, parking was free.
Cons: Special offer on door tag was not honored until I pointed out discrepancy to higher staff. I was told door tag was not correct but they would give me the points anyway. Seems very unprofessional to not work out offer before putting it on door tag.
Pros: The staff was kind, greeted us with a smile and was helpful.
Cons: This hotel is in shady part of Tacoma, the parking lot is shared with pawn shop, check cashing and other businesses that attract loitering of desperate people. I felt scared in fear of leaving ANYTHING in my car, coming back late or being alone outside.
Pros: Hotel Employee at the front desk was amazing! What a compliment to the staff at Holiday Inn Express. The room was wonderful, the bed was comfortable and everything was up to expectations. Definitely stay there again.
Pros: Friendly staff, good breakfast choices, and convenient location.
Cons: the room keys didn't work very well. Had to swipe them many times to get the door open.
Pros: Great location just a short drive from the Puget Sound and downtown.
Pros: Room was quiet, comfortable, and clean.
Cons: Location was very sketchy. Pool area had no towels and was not too clean.
Pros: The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We love staying where we can get breakfast included.

Pros: The beds were comfy, everything was clean, the staff was friendly, CHEAP, loved it (and I'm picky)
Pros: Liked that breakfast was included. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice quiet location. Seemed like a safe area.
Cons: The cleaning staff came into room at 10:00 am sharp wanting to start cleaning the room while we were still getting ready to leave for day. However we asked them to wait 15 min so we could leave. no problem
Pros: Clean room, plenty of space, very quiet, good continental breakfast, and friendly staff.
Cons: The wireless internet they offer was useless. It couldn't load anything.
Pros: The staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I slept better in this hotel than I have in many others.
Cons: The walls are a little thin and the Internet didn't connect for us.
Pros: The facility was very clean both inside and out. Quiet location away from the freeway.
Pros: Staff was very friendly.
Cons: Paid way to much thru Kayak....if I had booked thru the hotels website I would have paid $40 less. When I called kayaks customer service I got the run around about rates changing from day to day. I booked hotel on the same day we checked in, so rates wouldn't have changed. When I pointed this out I was given the same verbatim response. Felt like he was reading it from a card..... Will not use kayak again.
Pros: Clean and quiet.
Cons: Outdated saggy carpet.
