Pros. Location location location!!! Right on Freemont Street, minutes from restaurants and all the action! Will definitely stay again!
Cons. Don't forget that resort fees will be added to your final account, but we only paid $42AUD per night for the room so the resort fees weren't an issue.
Cons. Staff at the counter wasn’t helpful Door key would not work. Toilet was almost overflowing. Forgot some of our items in the car. Can’t get to the car.
Pros. this was our first time staying here and it was nice, clean and the best is the registration desk is across from the elevators, other casino's you have to walk a mile and hunt down the elevators. Staff is friendly and approachable. The casino is not so spread out, finding the eating facilities are easy to and all together. the only thing is they do not have a pool, which is one of he things we wanted to do is hang out by the water. i would stay here again.
Pros. Location, price
Cons. Cigarette smoke
Pros. Right off Fremont Street. Very affordable.
Cons. Very old furniture in rooms. Very few electrical outlets. Room smelled Musty.
Pros. I liked that it was right on the fremont experience, also. The prices of all the gaming was great! The staff I did talk to were great. No resort fees!! The reason I picked this hotel.
Cons. Well, first of all once I walked in my room I smelled old lingering cigarette smoke! I was on the no smoking floor. The bed the pillows and even the A/C was spuing that awful smell. I found a old pair of underwear behind a chair. The ice machine on my floor was broken so I had to go up stairs to get ice. The noise of Fremont didnt bother me, but may for others.
Pros. Nothing
Cons. At check-in one Asian guy had a guest he was check-in . While waiting in line the other employee was on computer shopping and paid no attention to us need to checking , when Asian guy finished with guest he politely asked may I help you and started the our check-in , the girl raised her head up and asked the white couple standing do they need help. I felt she didn't give us the same respect since we were not white. We were check-in 1424 the a.c. didn't work !!!! I reported it . Maintenance couldn't fix it , went front desk for update because we were out and was going to be out the remainder of the day. The front agent told me I have to move by 2pm if I won't to change rooms . I asked can I just move when I get back , she told me "No" by 2pm if not they want be able move me because housekeeping need to clean the room I am in to sell it . I told her I work in engineering 15 yrs and that is clogged/dirty line on chill water and it won't be fix when you have paper with all the rooms on 14 floor with a.c. not cooling . She said will sell those rooms regards of repaired or not , I told her this ridiculous and to give me my new keys. We were move 318 a.c. didn't work there either , only worked because the lower you room the cool the chill water , meaning there possibly a circulating pump broken and that the case there will be hot for a while. So taking people money and and selling them product that you know before is not working is very unlawful.
Cons. Room was next to strip way to noisy
Pros. Low nightly rates. Convenience to the attractions. Free valet parking at Fremont. No self parking at Fremont. Free self parking at California Hotel. Get the voucher at Fremont but present it to California for a refund of any fee paid at California. No Resort Fee. Depending on the resort reservation, you can even get a $10 voucher towards the restaurants, etc. We reserved a "2 double/1 King room" and ended up with the 1King bed. There's 4 of us (2 adults + 2 teens). Front desk gave us a foldabed for free.
Cons. For the price? No complaints on the older room and austere bathroom (e.g., shower head about eye level of a 5'8" person). $9.99 wifi per day per device. If you have 2 devices (ipad, iphone with limited data plan, etc), you pay $20 per day. ---> Resort fee of $20 per day would be better when it includes wifi for any number of devices. Website only indicated "wifi". I think this racket is even worse than the resort fee, which, at least is shown in the reservation page of travel websites. The payable wifi for our stay was not shown anywhere in our reservation details. We reserved through a website called Amoma, which was one of the sites referred to by Kayak I did not bother to check if they have a swimming pool. I think they don't.
Cons. The hotel room is very cheap. The bathroom was small and disgusting. Very out dated. The only up to date thing in the room was the T.V. Also plumbing was bad as well. Took water forever to drain out of the sink and tub. Would not recommend.
