9.6 Excellent
Pros: A novel, comfortable, friendly, convenient and personal place to stay in Lille. The rooms with a spa (jacuzzi and hammam) are incredible, the decoration tasteful, the TVs huge - it’s a super relaxing place to stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The apartment is very nice, the bed is very comfortable and the owner is very kind.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The apartment is well appointed, conveniently situated, clean, spacious and equipped with a hot tub and sauna which we were so busy sightseeing we didn't get to use. The two bedrooms have ensuite showers & hand basins. There are many bars and restaurants in close proximity and a patisserie on the ground floor. The covered & screened terrace was a great area to relax after a day of sight seeing.
Cons: Because there were two couples sharing this apartment it was a little disappointing to find that there was only the one toilet considering the bedrooms each had washing facilities.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The appartment was impeccably clean. We enjoyed the modern and smart interior. Above all the bed was one of the best we ever slept in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our suite was bright, airy, stylish and clean!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is excellent and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: Difficult to park and understand parking charges but once we worked it out it was ok , I think a clearer description of this would benefit future clients .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the property was perfect and the staff were really helpful and friendly.
Cons: Check in wasn't until 5pm.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, modern and clean interior
Cons: Front security door did not close automatically - had to push shut!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were friendly and helpful. The property was immaculate and a treat to go back to each evening. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and the steam room each night. We couldnt recommend it more highly.
Cons: The apartment was perfect. The neighborhood was very quiet though but it just may have been the time of year that we were there.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love it here and stay every year whilst visiting my family Beautiful building with huge rooms and close to everything
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice historic 'hotel particulier' (townhouse) with high ceilings that has been renovated to a high specification while keeping period details such as coving, and with some edgy contemporary art in the public areas. Location next to the city park / citadelle reasonably quiet and good for accessing restaurants etc. Good breakfast, friendly anbd professional staff, good value for money.
Cons: Location next to the citadelle and a few minutes away from the centre of the old town is good - but slightly less ideal for access to the stations (Eurostar and Gare de Flandres), esp. if pulling a suitcase through the cobbled streets of the old town. We did it on the way there and back, and it took about 20 minutes so it was perfectly fine, but perhaps next time we would consider taking a taxi or public transport.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really nice host, very helpful with giving us wonderful restaurant recommendations.

Pros: Bed quality is perfect, the italian shower great, kettle for coffee and tea. Very calm
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean comfortable and friendly plus great location
Cons: The room we had was spotless and very comfortable bed. But the terrace and garden though small was a real bonus. It is just one stop on metro from Euro Gare and dead opposite the station. Our room was on the side away from the busy road so very peaceful. The young lady who dealt with us could not have been nicer or more helpful. We will certainly visit again

Pros: “Romeo & Juliet” room: Bathroom was clean, double sink was spacious. Staff was very hospitable and helpful, providing maps etc. Exterior was lovely and full of character. Wardrobe was attractive and spacious. Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast, while tasty, was spare even for continental breakfast. In room facilities were limited to an electric kettle. Chairs were a poor fit for the tables and bits of period furniture.

Pros: Everything about this property was just perfect. We were blessed to have met Marie at the front desk who was so nice to us throughout our stay. She made our stay at this beautiful hotel just fantastic located right downtown surrounded by so many good restaurants. We hope to one day have the opportunity to return to this hotel and to see Marie again would the cherry on the cake.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, secure parking space available to book, very good value for money for overnight stay in the city.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is wonderful. The staff was terrific and very attentive. The location was great, as were the breakfast offerings. Would definitely stay here again or recommend to someone else visiting the area.
Cons: There were no international news channels offered on the TV. Usually there is at least one station that you can watch to get caught up on international news. At a quick glance it looked like there were some, but when you clicked on it, the channel wan't available. Disappointing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bathtub was huge and deep. I was in town for sports and it was nice to be able to take a bath after a long day on the field. The bed was also very fluffy and comfortable. The location was perfect and the staff were all incredibly helpful as well.
Cons: Room service was very limited and not very good quality. The bar downstairs can get very loud which makes it tough to sleep if you're there over the weekend. The climate control in the room was locked and the set temperature was a bit too high for my tastes. The rooms are also quite small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The quality of the facilities. Excellent coffee machine. Free mini bar. Brilliant bed.
Cons: The was nothing didn't like
8.3 Excellent
Pros: FRONT DESK THEY ARE FRIENDLY AND ALWAYS TRY TO HELP, LOCATION AND ROOM CLEANING
Cons: HOUSEKEEPING THEY FORGET TO CLEAN MY BATHROOM ON SUNDAY I DID NOT ENJOY MY BREHFAST BECAUSE THE STAFF DONT CLEAN TABLES IMMEDIATELY WHEN GUESTS LEFT AND NO ONE WILL GUID YOU WHER I SHOULD SIT

Pros: Friendly staff and very comfortable bed, right in the center of the city. Everything is within a walking distance from the hotel. Also, the parking garage is easy and convenient. Breakfast was pretty good too. I definitely recommend to stay here.
Cons: The room and bathroom was clean, however they were some spots with mold in the ceiling (on top of the bed) and in some corners of the shower.

Pros: Staff were really helpful. Great location of the hotel. Hotel and room really comfortable and well equipped.
Cons: The breakfast was a little expensive at €16 each.
Hôtel Barrière Lille - Lille - Building

8.9 Excellent (2,000 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hôtel Barrière Lille, you'll be centrally located in Lille, within a 10-minute walk of Zenith Arena Concert Hall and L'Aeronef. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Planning an event in Lille? This hotel has facilities measuring 9472 square feet (880 square meters), including conference space. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The reception were welcoming, informative .
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fast wifi, clean, modern bathroom, very comfortable bed. Nice service in the hotel restaurant. One of the front desk staff , Nicolas, was very nice. And two of the other gentleman as well though I did not catch their names.
Cons: the location is the biggest drawback. it is quite a walk from the eurostar station, especially if you have large suitcases. The uneven, decorative paving of the sidewalks do not help either. The area around the hotel is truly industrial looking and not very pleasant. The men at the front desk did not help us bring in our baggage and I was surprised since this is supposed to be a 5 star hotel. Even though the hotel is modern, it feels and looks more like an office building than a hotel. The food in the restaurant is ok, nothing really special if I am honest.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good room and great location
Cons: Was told breakfast was included but they charged me twenty euros each so not happy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, very spacious rooms and numerous amenities such as as a theatre, excellent location, park, train station and huge mall right in front of the hotel. Simply perfect.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and modern hotel.. I was surprised they made the room twice day. Casino on site was a bonus entertainment, loved it although lost money.
Cons: None I can think of
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The reception staff were amazing, they were so friendly and helpful. Made our stay really enjoyable. We were unexpectedly upgraded and our suite was outstanding. We will definitely be returning. So good to have such a fabulous pet friendly hotel.
Cons: The brasserie was average. Food was good but the management/ service was practically non existent. Had to get up from our table after sitting for about 10 minutes to ask the staff what the format was... Buffet or ordering from menu as no one had explained anything to us! Had to get up from table after another 10 minutes to ask to order drinks. Same again when we asked for the bill... Waited 15 minutes and asked 3 times. Waitresses did their jobs but felt the manager was weak. Boked a session in the spa for 10am, sat there for 15 minutes waiting but no one turned up. Husband rang reception from our room and was told that the beautician was off sick, had not been informed. Poor communication between departments.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Good location, short walk to city centre. Bed was comfy.
Cons: We complained about several things but got ignored which is really not okay for a 5-star hotel. Service should be most important! We stayed at many hotels but this was so disappointing. Also breakfast choice is poor.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location at first seemed out of the way, however once we got our bearings, I thought the location was perfect, close to enough to the town centre and also close to the major shopping mall as well as being right on top of the casino which I do not recommend as there was long queue to get in and nothing to rave about.
Cons: nothing to complain about :)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spacious, clean and modern room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable with large room and good range of facilities. Fairly central and private parking made access into Lille very easy.
Cons: No dislikes.

Pros: Great location . Very comfortable room . Beautiful bed linen and towels . Fab shower . Tea and coffee making facilities in the room . We didn’t have breakfast but breakfast room looked lovely . Cons: The air con in our room wasn’t very good but the staff provided an extra fan, certainly wouldn’t stop us staying again
7.1 Good
Cons: Waiting half an hour to be served a drink in the garden before and excellent dinner
7.1 Good
Cons: I had two wifi codes given to me - neither worked My colleagues said they got access but signal was terribly poor. Water pressure in the shower was so weak that it made little sense.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We loved the hotel the moment we stepped in, it has a nice history to it. Very clean, comfortable bed. Friendly staff.
Cons: The restaurant was closed. Limited food for breakfast. Price was overrated. Didn't like that the toilet was not connected to the bathroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and awesome staff. Very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was a true French delight! Only 5 steps away from the central city area and still a very quiet spot. The best stay in Lille!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly. We had room service and the good was very good. Make sure you book ahead of time to eat at the restaurant
Cons: The carpet in the room took a little something away from the character of the house but it is a beautiful hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing atmosphere of a small but beautiful hotel, but perhaps the most enjoyable part of the stay was the fact that all the staff were so friendly and tried really hard to assist us in everything we needed. At one point we were wanting to have a beer from the bar but the barman was on his break, despite this one of the receptionists took the time to bring us a selection of local beers and give us an overview of each when she wasn’t exactly sure what each were. Nothing was too much hassle and every member of staff tried their hardest to communicate with us despite the fact at times there may have been a language barrier. Chilled, relaxed and high class establishment and the staff members are absolutely exceptional. Amazing breakfast as well!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely building with an ideal and relaxing small garden to the rear. Location ideal and peaceful despite being near town. Sights were within easy walking distance.
Cons: Although bathroom pleasing to the eye not all that functional. Despite immediate attention by staff still could not get plug to function in basin/sink and water just drained out. Would have appreciated a nonslip surface in shower. Breakfast far too expensive for food offered.

Pros: Close to the. Centre but only a short walk. Very comfortable and loved the spa
10.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast, friendly staff, swimming pool, spa
Cons: nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: Very comfortable large bed
Cons: Extortionate bar prices - €8 for a tonic water!
6.3 Good
Pros: The room was quiet and comfortable; everything, including the pool area, very clean. Wonderful inner-city garden, where one can read a book and drink tea. The breakfast was good but not excellent. The hotel is fine and with the historic and fantastic space a lot of potential... for the moment not fully used.
Cons: This is a very good 4* hotel; not worth its 5*. Staff was polite enough, but just not up to the standard of a 5* establishment. The hotel must get a designer - the lobby area but also the room are furnished without taste, as if with leftover pieces. The pool is very noisy - the water evacuation is not well designed so anytime one swims, the pool literally... makes noise! Again, should not happen in a 5* hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, beautiful building and very clean. Helpful staff.
Cons: the car park was very expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful conversion of an old hospital with lots of character and beautiful artifacts. There are many peaceful and interesting places to sit inside and outside. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We were shown to our room by a charming young man via the lovely old Chapel. The room was spacious and very comfortable with a clever eclectic mix of old and new decor tastefully executed. I am disabled and use a mobility scooter. This hotel was an ideal place to stay as I could get around everywhere easily. Parking was no problem opposite the hotel after dropping off luggage at the front. An exceptional experience in this special city centre hotel. We will return again next year for our first night after our Eurotunnel crossing. Absolutely highly recommend.
Cons: The Brasserie restaurant was somewhat disappointing and had a limited menu for my husband to choose from as he is gluten intolerant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was extremely comfortable in the Staff was terrific
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love this hotel, stayed here a couple of times before. There is something very special about it - the mixture of old and new. The staff are wonderful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything , it was an old hospital so has history and art and gorgeous rooms. Staff were super friendly and took us on a tour of the hotel. The SPA is relaxing and adding a beauty treatment is well worth it.
Cons: Everything was lovely, although our room was underneath the loading bay so a bit noisy but they even give you earplugs so it was not a big deal

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was superb with a lot of choice- both continental and cooked, and a lot from a local source. A good choice of fruit purees, yoghurt, jams, bread (including a lovely sugar infused brioche,), cold meat, cheese, fruit, We nearly went out for breakfast, but I'm glad we didn't, as this surpassed anything for choice and cost.
Cons: There were a few people begging on the pavements opposite, but they didn't bother any tourists, and seemed to be more as if they were asking for payment for helping find car park spaces
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, great and very friendly personnel, nice and clean rooms, great breakfast buffet, very close to center and walking distance of shopping centers.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: friendly staff, nice interior, clean and cozy room
Cons: room facing to the street very loud during the night

Cons: Leaving
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff Clean, comfortable with quality towels and toiletries.
Cons: There is nothing not to like
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent, room very good and the shower excellent
Cons: As it was a very small hotel it did very well
5.4 Okay
Pros: We booked 2 rooms for 3 nights. Beds were comfortable and rooms were nice. Staff was courteous and responsive as they could be.
Cons: While the location was just steps away from the center of Lille, the street it is located on is night and day compared to the street over. Kids and other beggars confronted you as you entered and exited the hotel. It was located by a popular restaurant, that was open until the early hours of the morning, which makes it difficult when you have to sleep with the windows open. A/C did not cool rooms at all. When questioned staff, was told that it was normal. Mosquitoes were horrible. Worst two nights of sleep I have had on my trip in France thus far. Don’t book here in the summer unless you are used to sleeping in the heat! Would probably stay here again if it was cooler outside and AC wasn’t needed.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The location as it’s in the centre but the area does not look nice, very dirty and smelly.
Cons: Room very small once the sofa bed for the children is open. Breakfast is not good, poor quality food. We asked for a cappuccino and fried eggs but they were not able to do them because there is no kitchen in the hotel! The area is not nice at all and smelly.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Pleasant hotel in downtown Lille. The staff was very nice, good breakfast, comfy bed, decent shower; all good! Rooms are small, but that is mentioned before you book, so to be expected. The room didnt feel cramped though, just don't bring huge suitcases ;) We much enjoyed our stay and the location couldnt be better.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel in the city center friendly staff. Great for a short stay
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The kindness of the guys at the front desk Moreover they accepted our little dog though it was not accepted on the site
Cons: The noise of people in the street during the night and also at breakfast to be seated just next to another couple while all the other tables were free
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff. Comfy bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In general it was excellent all round and the breakfast was superb.
Cons: A small complaint was that we booked a suite for 4 adults and the sleeper couch, although comfortable for one, was not really big enough for two. Also, a fan in the room would be good for summer because the aircon doesn't reach that room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location and service are both stellar. The rooms were very fairly priced for the city (and especially considering I went during a very busy festival in September). The breakfast features locally produced products and is really tasty.
Cons: The rooms, as advertised,, are quite small. There are no screens on the windows and so as much as I wanted to keep the windows open all day, there probably would have been too many bugs.
4.2 Okay
Pros: nothing
Cons: i could not use wi-fi, small room, NO transparent curtains, only opaque curtains (so NO daylight if u want some intimacy). old fashion windows so all noise from the street directly in your head .... not to mention the building does not have elevator.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It is right in the heart of Lille, everything you need is just a few steps away. The staff was super kind, they really want you to feel like it’s home.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. I was travelling with an elderly person, and the staff were as helpful and accommodating as they could be. We were always greeted with smiles and friendliness. Breakfast was great, filled with local bakery, cheese, meats, honey, hot bacon and eggs. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with beds so cosy it was hard to get out of them. The best thing about this place was the location. It was a 2 minute walk from the main square, and it was within walking distance of everything to see in Lille. Thank you, Hotel Kanaï, for giving us a wonderful stay in Lille!
Cons: There was not a thing to criticise about this hotel. It is a perfect place to stay while visiting Lille.

With a stay at La Valiz, you'll be centrally located in Lille, steps from Euralille and 5 minutes by foot from Old Stock Exchange. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Mostly very tasteful decor and not the usual bland hotel chain style. Friendly and helpful staff at check in and check out. The room was fairly small, but I knew this would be the case and only had one small bag with me. Space to hang clothes. All very clean. Comfortable bed. Bathroom with nice rain shower and toiletries. Tea and coffee making facilities. With the windows shut there was no noise from outside at all. I didn't have breakfast here, so can't comment on that.
Cons: Pillows were a bit saggy/lumpy. Only instant coffee and no black tea available in the room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, across from the metro. Nice room and bathroom!
7.9 Good
Pros: Rooms together, staff very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable. Incentive to be green. Situated close to Eurostar. Lovely breakfast, perhaps more fruit, maybe some tomato and cucumber with the cheese and meats but that’s being picky. However the drinks, yoghurt, bread, cheese, meats, croissants, eggs and bacon etc are lovely. Air conditioning welcome, although instructions to use the unit programmer would be appreciated. Body wash available but not hair shampoo in our room and a refresh of coffee capsules on the second day would be nice but these are minor details. Free WiFi appreciated. Any requests were dealt with immediately and with manners and a smile.
Cons: The more open plan layout of room 116 is a concern. The bathroom and walk in shower is in full view of the entrance door. A door for privacy would be preferable. The entrance door cannot be opened if someone is in the toilet or shower.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location so close to the station and the old town. The room was tastefully decorated and it was great having a coffee machine in our room. The staff was helpful and friendly. Big bonus is the lift.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The biggest asset of the hotel are the stuff! Moreover, clean and fine room, French breakfast and tiny elevator & corridor :) Everything creates a nice atmosphere!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was great location! Room was clean, stylish and with amazing view ! Breakfast area was very cosy and seemed freshly decorated. Breakfast was very good quality, freshly baked bread, scrambled eggs, bacon, french variation of cheese, juice, coffee - everything was delicious :) I would recommend this place highly. All main attractions just 5-15min walking distance away!
Cons: There was no parking place available, but that was not a problem. You can park at Opera underground parking for €14,5 per 24hours, walking distance to hotel approx 5-10min right through the heart of Lille.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean, contemporary, friendly. Great location - 5/10 min walk to the old town. Just 15 min walk to the international Eurostar station.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, restaurants, old Town, shops, cafes and tourist attractions all within 20 minutes walk. The rooms are comfortable, with air conditioning, great showers and coffee machines.
Cons: The lift is small.....but at least there is a lift :)
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good! Nice toiletries!
Cons: Not enough pillows. But the hotel was full!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning hotel, friendly owner, amazing location. Coming back next year!
Cons: Bigger cups in the room! Great for coffee but not for tea! Lol!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best croissants, pain chocolate, and bread I have ever had in France. The owner makes her own jams, yogurt and panna cotta.
Cons: Coffee could have been better
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. Quietness at the heart of old town. Super host.
Cons: Too high perched bed and toilets.
7.9 Good
Pros: A quiet family run hotel that is also the family home. The house has lots of quality, antique furniture and is in a nice quiet side street and ideal for my needs after long days in meetings. All my requests were met and fresh water and towels were provided in my room each day. The home made fruit jam was excellent.
Cons: The stairs, but apart from that everything else fitted my personal requirements, so no issues.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location was excellent. Although in a quiet residential area, it was within walking distance of public transport, and an attractive square with bistros. The continental breakfast set us up for the day. Fascinating large town house steeped in history.
Cons: For us nothing to dislike.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A warm welcome nice friendly staff. Super location!! EXCELLENT!!!!!!!
7.1 Good
Pros: This a beautiful home with a lovely family
Cons: There is no real checking in area and once in your room you have no way of getting in touch with the owner unless calling down or up the stairs? Have no idea where they where ? I emailed a request for dinner for my daughter and i . It was a little uncomfortable as we where given food and drinks with no explanation as to what it was? I dont drink alcohol and had no idea what i was given. No chance to ask what or even how much it was going to cost as no reception desk area . Really lovely children that live there but felt more like you where using someones spare room . The phots of the beautiful zen garden gives the idea of space but you just have your room and a very small room to eat in. Was charged for drinks I didn’t order and far to much for dinner. Was given my bill in there living room with the family there and felt very uncomfortable. If they used the ground floor for customers then this place would be great but to much like Air B&B for me
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We liked the quirky furnishings and ornaments of this period property as it had character and a sense of history. Close enough to walk into the centre of Lille.
Cons: We could hear the guest in the room next door, so would have preferred more privacy.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The house was beautiful and the host was extremely attentive. We especially loved the room and the breakfast
Cons: We managed to travel during one of the hottest weeks of the year, so air conditioning would have been great! The towels could do with replacing.

Pros: A very large self catering space in an excellent location. We did not take breakfast as there were self catering facilities.
Cons: Kettle would be a useful addition to the kitchen
7.1 Good
Pros: Lovely hotel by the river, however, our room was very dark and warm. Breakfast was great and the lady serving was very helpful. Location close to park and not too far from the town centre.
Cons: Very dark room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything! Loved the styling. It was comfortable and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Best continental breakfast I’ve ever had. Lovely staff and beautiful building and setting. Great value for money too.
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like. It’s a bit of a hike to get into the centre but that has nothing to do with the excellence of the hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fine, plenty of it and rather fancy from the Michelin chef!
7.1 Good
Pros: Clean, river location, easy access to the city of Lille by car. Hipster chic decor.
Cons: Not quite the welcome we had had elsewhere on our toad trip through France. Had called ahead to ask about local places to eat and told we could eat at the hotel restaurant only to find this was fully booked when we arrived. This was disappointing after a long journey and we had to walk for 30 minutes to find an open restaurant. We found a fantastic restaurant called Chez Lauren ran by two lovely ladies (regionally sourced fresh food) where we were greeted with smiles and great food and ambience. At breakfast (which was average; hard croissants and bread with meats etc) we were told there was no hot water and on a public holiday (assent-ion of Mary to heaven) that no one was available to repair this. We were disappointed as needed to shower before our journey home. On checking out an hour later at 11 we were not offered a discount for the lack of a shower. This was disappointing as we would never have booked a room without a shower! We asked for a reduction in room rate and got told no at first. The waitress was very nice but the manager a little stand off-fish. We said this was not really acceptable and finally our bill was reduced to €80 for one night instead of €96, we paid this as needed to continue our journey. The manager said the water was now back on so could not see a problem. However at 11am this was to late to take bags back up two flights of stairs to shower! There was a phone in the bedroom so one questions why no one called us to inform us. We also got absolutely eaten by mosquitos in the room and had to go find a pharmacy for anti histamines, which We have never had to do before! Generally not a great stay after five superb stays in France.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and nice airy and decorated rooms
Cons: Bathroom was too dark
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I can't fault this place. Beautifully decorated. Good sized room, comfortable bed. Good shower! Staff were really friendly and made a real effort to communicate with us in English. The breakfast spread was awesome! Great location. Not much noise from the road and not far away from the centre.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, great apartment.
Cons: Nothing, amazing place to stay for a night.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel is situated outside the centre, but if you travel to Lille by car, this is a relaxed place, because you can park your car for free. The surrounding of the hotel was a little bit messy, (because of constructions), but the building is an bit of an eye-catcher. Our room was big, very stylish decorated and we got a warm welcome. Via a nice walk (20 mins) through the park you reach the old part of the city. Breakfast was served in the restaurant part of the hotel, looks nice and it tasted nice as well.
Cons: There was a strange smell outside the room and in the hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Small hotel with few rooms and very warm treament. Excellent staf. Ver good breakfast with excellent wellcoming staf... home made bread on site and natural juice and excellent coffe. Hotel on theriver.. ery quet enviroment..
Cons: No elevator

Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: The location is great. The city center is right there, and it gives you the opportunity to experience the city to the fullest. Everything is close-by. You have a great mall right next to the hotel (where you can buy groceries and go shopping). This is closed on Sundays but it's open the other days of the week. The Train Central Station is also 5 minutes away if you walk it. It is a very good choice if you are traveling by car since the hotel offers you the possibility to park at their private parking lot. The view from the hotel is also something that you would wanna wake up to.
Cons: The only thing that I didn't like was the surprising fact that while I was in my room, some people entered in it. These people seem to have gotten the same room as me at the front desk. Also there was a strange sound of water flow whenever someone flushed in the room next door.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location for us, and although the area around train station is not that nice of an evening, this building and car park very secure. We had 2 studios and a 1 bed apartment, all were superb, with good linen and comfortable beds. Fans in room and plenty of towels and toiletries Also took our dog
Cons: Nothing

Cons: The kitchen in the room was not in a working condition.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location. Nice to have a small kitchen. We could leave our luggage at the hotel after checking out. The room was very clean.
Cons: Not all the employees who work at the reception speak English.

7.5 Good
Pros: Good location. Clean sheets. The reception was helpful especially when I left the hotel in the first day with my keys on the door of my room :)
Cons: Bed was not so comfortable. The room was ok for 1 pers, but will be small for 2. No AC in the rooms. Too narrow and steep stairs. Keep in mind that it might be a problem if you have a large suitcase with you.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location couldn’t be more central
Cons: Rooms stunk of stale smoke and the inside is 1970’s kitch.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice room and friendly staff. All for a really good price.
Cons: The tv lost its signal all the time, which was a bit annoying since it was the womens world cup!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location near station and center, cleaness, room which suited 4 people.

Pros: Nice location, easy to get everywhere in the city.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location in the heart of Lille.
Cons: You could hear early morning announcements from nearby Flanders Station.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great and reasonably priced breakfast. Very central, a short walk from both main train stations and all the sights, bars and restaurants. Clean, modern, friendly and helpful staff, clear instructions to find and use the reserved parking.
Cons: The wifi signal was intermittent, but we had good 4G coverage so not really an issue.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, comfy, old-fashioned hotel (i.e. the rooms are accessible by one or two flights of stairs). Solo bike tourists can ask for permission to leave their bike tucked at the end of the downstairs hallway, but I think two bikes would be too much. A hop, skip and a jump from the train station.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, friendly staff, very clean and comfortable, good room facilities such as the tv, coffee maker and quantity of plug sockets. Parking facility is very secure, excellent price (12 Euro a day) and close to the hotel, but must be booked in advance.
Cons: The WiFi was poor, had to log back in (which could take 4-5 minutes) every 10-15 minutes, so couldn’t really watch anything.
