Cons: the location is the biggest drawback. it is quite a walk from the eurostar station, especially if you have large suitcases. The uneven, decorative paving of the sidewalks do not help either. The area around the hotel is truly industrial looking and not very pleasant. The men at the front desk did not help us bring in our baggage and I was surprised since this is supposed to be a 5 star hotel. Even though the hotel is modern, it feels and looks more like an office building than a hotel. The food in the restaurant is ok, nothing really special if I am honest.

Cons: The brasserie was average. Food was good but the management/ service was practically non existent. Had to get up from our table after sitting for about 10 minutes to ask the staff what the format was... Buffet or ordering from menu as no one had explained anything to us! Had to get up from table after another 10 minutes to ask to order drinks. Same again when we asked for the bill... Waited 15 minutes and asked 3 times. Waitresses did their jobs but felt the manager was weak. Boked a session in the spa for 10am, sat there for 15 minutes waiting but no one turned up. Husband rang reception from our room and was told that the beautician was off sick, had not been informed. Poor communication between departments.

Staff were very helpful and accommodating. They only small negative for us was we faced into a small courtyard area with a huge a fire escape . However as we spent so little time in our room it didn’t impact on our enjoyment. Would certainly recommend this hotel for a stay in Lille

Pros: A wonderful conversion of an old hospital with lots of character and beautiful artifacts. There are many peaceful and interesting places to sit inside and outside. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We were shown to our room by a charming young man via the lovely old Chapel. The room was spacious and very comfortable with a clever eclectic mix of old and new decor tastefully executed. I am disabled and use a mobility scooter. This hotel was an ideal place to stay as I could get around everywhere easily. Parking was no problem opposite the hotel after dropping off luggage at the front. An exceptional experience in this special city centre hotel. We will return again next year for our first night after our Eurotunnel crossing. Absolutely highly recommend.

Cons: This is a very good 4* hotel; not worth its 5*. Staff was polite enough, but just not up to the standard of a 5* establishment. The hotel must get a designer - the lobby area but also the room are furnished without taste, as if with leftover pieces. The pool is very noisy - the water evacuation is not well designed so anytime one swims, the pool literally... makes noise! Again, should not happen in a 5* hotel.

Pros: The location is great. The city center is right there, and it gives you the opportunity to experience the city to the fullest. Everything is close-by. You have a great mall right next to the hotel (where you can buy groceries and go shopping). This is closed on Sundays but it's open the other days of the week. The Train Central Station is also 5 minutes away if you walk it. It is a very good choice if you are traveling by car since the hotel offers you the possibility to park at their private parking lot. The view from the hotel is also something that you would wanna wake up to.

The Train Central Station is also 5 minutes away if you walk it. It is a very good choice if you are traveling by car since the hotel offers you the possibility to park at their private parking lot. The view from the hotel is also something that you would wanna wake up to.
Cons: The only thing that I didn't like was the surprising fact that while I was in my room, some people entered in it. These people seem to have gotten the same room as me at the front desk. Also there was a strange sound of water flow whenever someone flushed in the room next door.

Staff were very attentive and helpful. Had issues with the first 2 rooms i was assigned to and they took that onboard and helped me secure a different room that was comfortable for me.

We did not have breakfast at the hotel because there were so many restaurants in the neigbourhood. Even at sundays when all the shops were closed. You will find a brasserie/ restaurant. We had a pleasant stay.

Cons: Situated opposite a sex cruising shop which meant shady characters hanging about until the early hours of the morning who caused a nuisance and I felt unsafe. Apart from today 28/8/19, when we had a more friendly and smiley staff, the breakfast staff on duty on our first couple days was not really friendly. Also, she had to be called to refill the juice which ran out as soon as people started coming in for breakfast around 8am. This morning, one of the receptionists came to our table at breakfast to ask us whether we were staying in one or two rooms, without giving us any reason and making us feel we had done something wrong.

The lounge area is drab and depressing. This is a soulless hotel to which we will never return.

Pros: The hotel is located in the heart of Lille - only a few minutes from the Grande Place. That is its only saving grace! There is nothing else TO like, unless of course you are a fan of 60s decor. For the price I paid, I could have had a modern room in any top tier city in the world. My room was styled in the 1960s - if not before. It was dark and oppressive with dreadful bedding and an equally poor bed. The 'over the bath' shower and the general style of the facilities made the place look run-down and impoverished. For 136 Euros - $150 I stayed in a room at the intercontinental in Saigon two weeks ago. Air conditioned, walk-in shower, choice of pillows, 42" television with film channels, wonderful breakfast etc. The room I had here, I would have 'valued' at $40 - MAXIMUM. It made me so sad, because I couldn't help but think of all those international travellers who come to france expecting a wonderful experience - something stylish and truly 'French' - and are then offered such a room. Dark, dingy, no air-con, stuffy, old style, a 14"TV perched on top of a cupboard... Frankly, the Hotel, Lille and France ought to feel ashamed. Yes, it's the market price - supply and demand - caveat emptor etc etc - but honestly - my stay here was appalling. Even now, a day later, I can't get over what I paid for the room... Oh, and I haven't yet mentioned the party in the house behind the hotel which went on until 1:30 a.m. Honestly, if you can't find a cheap chain hotel (Premiere classe, Mr Bed etc) or a proper international hotel group for your stay in this city - I would avoid it until it joins the rest of the hotel world in the 21st century.

Pros: The hotel is located in the heart of Lille - only a few minutes from the Grande Place. That is its only saving grace! There is nothing else TO like, unless of course you are a fan of 60s decor. For the price I paid, I could have had a modern room in any top tier city in the world. My room was styled in the 1960s - if not before. It was dark and oppressive with dreadful bedding and an equally poor bed. The 'over the bath' shower and the general style of the facilities made the place look run-down and impoverished. For 136 Euros - $150 I stayed in a room at the intercontinental in Saigon two weeks ago. Air conditioned, walk-in shower, choice of pillows, 42" television with film channels, wonderful breakfast etc. The room I had here, I would have 'valued' at $40 - MAXIMUM. It made me so sad, because I couldn't help but think of all those international travellers who come to france expecting a wonderful experience - something stylish and truly 'French' - and are then offered such a room. Dark, dingy, no air-con, stuffy, old style, a 14"TV perched on top of a cupboard... Frankly, the Hotel, Lille and France ought to feel ashamed. Yes, it's the market price - supply and demand - caveat emptor etc etc - but honestly - my stay here was appalling. Even now, a day later, I can't get over what I paid for the room... Oh, and I haven't yet mentioned the party in the house behind the hotel which went on until 1:30 a.m. Honestly, if you can't find a cheap chain hotel (Premiere classe, Mr Bed etc) or a proper international hotel group for your stay in this city - I would avoid it until it joins the rest of the hotel world in the 21st century.

The location is brilliant, just a short walk to the central area e.g. Place de la Gaulle. The staff were helpful. Cons: My only slight grievance was that I was expecting the room to be ready on arrival as I indicated our arrival time beforehand. They did attend to this almost immediately so this is a minor issue.

Cons: The name suggests that the hotel is in the centre of Lille, it is actually quite a long walk from it. It was fine for one night, but I wouldn’t walk in that neighbourhood by myself at night. With my partner it was fine though.

Cons: It seemed like everything technology related didn’t work. The Aircon wouldn’t turn off. The safety deposit boxes didn’t function despite moving rooms. The TV didn’t work. Our frustration was exacerbated because we repeatedly asked for these matters to be addressed but to no avail. There is a seemingly odd charge of €18 euros to use the hot tub when the rest of the Spa facilities are included. This could be a really nice boutique hotel if only these quibbles could be rectified.

It is next to the highway, though the noise insulation is good with the windows closed, the room was very worm and if we opened a window it became very noisy. We paid for parking but on the second day we came back to the hotel at 11 in the evening and all the parking spots of the hotel were taken. The cleaning lady didn't make our room.

Cons: In the room there were a ton of mosquitos. I have no idea from where they were comming but even with closed window I had to fight with a new insect visitor approx every hour. So after each night I woke up with many bites from those mosquitos. Also the air conditioning was not working so it was really hot in the room when I wanted to protect somehow from the insects, but it didnt help either. In the night there was heard from above the room ceiling that the rats were having a race.

Cons: The guy at the reception was the most impolite guy I have ever seen in a hotel ! He should be fired right away... He was super rude, snapped at us a couple of times, didnt want to help out with anything, told us we could not use the parking (even tho we were parked already) and gave us the wrong code for our room. His “helper” or friend was a dodgy looking guy roaming around the parking, spying at us but not saying anything. We only found out he worked at the hotel after check in, so we thought he was following us. You have to book the parking upfront, despite what it says on booking, but i would advice againt it, as the parking is so small you will for sure damange your car there. Reception area of the hotel is really old & scruffy. We did not feel safe in this place!

Cons: It was most expensive of my stays in Lille, unfortunatelly I didn't have other options at the moment of booking. Only cold simple breakfast was available. For high room price I was not able to get iron in the room, so I had to go into some meeting room on first floor to iron my shirt.

Pros: The hotel was central.
Cons: The hotel was central but too close to the main railway station which meant there was a very mixed group staying in the hotel. The area where the hotel is was not the nicest of areas and a very mixed group hanging around in the street and in front of the hotel. We didn't feel threatened but had no interest in spending any more time than was necessary at or around the hotel. Getting to the hotel by car was a great adventure even with GPS. Parking was only available with luck on our side!!

Pros: Within a short walking distance, between the TGV and local metro stations, yet tucked down a side street that shielded the noise from the square. Plenty of dining options just a few steps away. We were there for the Paris-Roubaix bicycle race, but would return to explore Lille.
Cons: Nothing to dislike. We arrived early- -8:00 am- -and were not able to check-in. The property stored our bags in a safe location until we returned later to check-in.

Cons: Staff was confused about using booking.com and charging. Check in and out took about 20 mins a piece. Rooms are very small and weird layout. Also riots from protestors happen almost every Saturday (making it slightly unsafe)

Pros: The location in Lille is great, super central and very close to train station. The hotel is a bit outdated but very well maintained, very clean and comfortable. Good beds and quiet to sleep. Perfect for short business stay of one night.

Pros: Breakfast was better than I expected, wih alot of variety. I was looking for a good hotel very close to the rail station, this hotel was perfect. This is the most important point for me and is the reason i chose this hotel.
Cons: If there was air conditioning, or a fan, it would have been perfect for me. I found the room to be very hot due to the humidity.

Cons: The neighbourhood seemed a bit rough but we felt safe. Unfortunately a guest in the room next door played their TV loudly until the small hours of the morning. We approached the reception staff member who sorted it quickly.
