Pros: If you are going to Greenfield Village or Hery Ford Museum, you couldn’t find a better location for your stay. We loved the historical charm of the inn. The decor has been updated but is still elegant without being stuffy. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the pillows and linens were luxurious. We enjoyed both meals we had in the Edison dining room. We particularly loved the omelets and pastries on the breakfast bar. Overall an excellent value for the money.

Excellent food in Tavern one night and enjoyed buffet breakfast in Edison one morning. Interesting history to hotel. Attentive staff. Didn’t realize they had a pool as info not prominently evident; just discovered it when walking the grounds.

Pros: The Room was clean and well stocked. The staff was very friendly and professional. There’s a place in the lobby to buy drinks which are cheaper than most gas stations in the area.

Cons: The door of one of the bedrooms was broken and slightly off its hinges. It also had a broken panel. This meant shutting the door was harder than normal. While one person was shutting the door a very large picture fell down on my head and then onto my daughter’s as we were sitting on the sofa. This was heavy and ringed with metal. While it sounds quite comical it was very painful and hurt for the next day. We filled out an incident form but there was no follow up from the staff, the room wasn’t looked at by anyone. An unsafe room.

Cons: We liked using the shuttle to get to the Henry Ford Museum and Dearborn Village. The two rides over were fine. In each case we confirmed with the driver as to when and where to be picked up. The two rides coming back we were forgotten and had to call to be picked up. The first day the returning driver did not know where we were. The second driver was thirty five minutes late. I'm not sure but he acted like he was called from home to come and get us when he was the one who dropped us off. He should have know we would need a ride back.

Upon arrival I noticed the pool was smaller than expected and there were a bunch of un supervised children all over the place jumping in and out of the pool which made my stay very difficult since I have toddlers. The tv wouldn’t work properly had to call the front desk to get step by step directions on how to get it to work.

Cons: Some of the desk staff weren’t very friendly, and one never stopped talking on her phone while assisting me which I thought was rude. Also I wasn’t made aware on check-in that there is no housekeeping staff on the weekends unless it is requested before noon so we never got the bed made or trash taken out. Also when we called for towels we were told “housekeeping is already gone you’ll have to come down if you want towels”. For the price of this hotel I was expecting a bit more.

Pros: Excellent stay (we stayed for 3 nights)! Room was ready and clean. Beds were very comfortable. The staff treated us like they knew us for years. Pool and hot tub were really nice. Temperature was perfect. Towels provided and the area was clean. We had breakfast at Urban Steak (the restaurant located in the hotel) Pineapple was fresh and ripe, eggs were cooked perfectly as was the toast. Nice whole grain bread. The coffee was pretty good ( and I am a bit of a coffee snob). Loved the pepper and salt grinders on the table. Food was not over salted which is typically a problem at many restaurants. Our server readily substituted the fresh pineapple for the meat without a fuss or an extra charge. We would absolutely stay at this Holiday Inn again and next time may try another meal at the Urban Steak.

Pros: The hotel was close to the airport and had a free shuttle - I did wait ~45 min for the shuttle from the airport, but the shuttle to the airport got us there on time. The hotel restaurant, although a little overpriced, was both convenient and the food quality above average relative to similar hotel restaurants in that price range. Also, the restaurant staff was great and very attentive. The hotel staff was friendly. The free WiFi was adequate.
Cons: The hotel was exceptionally overpriced for what it is, and I would strongly recommend a better hotel if you are going to be putting down that amount of money for a room. I paid around $200 for one night, but I have had stayed in nicer airport hotels for less than half that amount. The photos used for advertisement are exceptionally misleading, and the phrase "recently renovated" needs to be taken with a grain of salt; the hotel still has the look and feel of a rundown 1980s Holiday Inn despite an updated color scheme and bathroom fixtures. These renovations were cheaply done and building maintenance is subpar. The bathroom was a bit dirty and the shower had some mildew in it. The bed was no where near as comfortable as one you would expect for this price range both in terms of the mattress quality and pillows (they were flat). Because of noise from both outside and the hallway I had a horrendous night's sleep.

Pros: Breakfast was fine and the staff was very friendly. Location was great for our trips to the Henry Ford Complex.
Cons: We had a leaky toilet, it was fixed right away but housekeeping had already been to our room so the bathroom was not cleaned up until the next day including any mess left by maintenance. The air conditioner was very loud and looked like it was falling out of the wall. I expected better. The staff was very friendly and the location was perfect for our plans.

Cons: After seeing the positive reviews on this motel, I was expecting a great stay. I was sadly disappointed. After checking our first room, I found that the lounge chair was really dirty, and there were blood spots on the bedspread. I asked for a different room and the front desk staff was very nice in giving me a different room. Second room wasn’t much better. The lounge chair in the second room was a bit cleaner, but not much. It looks like the motel needs a good cleaning - dingy, dirty hallway carpets, dirty fabric furniture, and a fresh coat of paint. The room was clean but there was no way I was going to sit in those chairs - they need to be replaced. I didn’t consider it to be up to the standards that I expect from La Quinta.

Pros: The eggs were too hard for my personal taste; sausage links were a bit salty. But overall, breakfast was fine and plentiful each of our 8 days.
Cons: I understand trying to save the environment and schedule every other day for fresh towels and other room refreshing; however, our first few days the room was refreshed daily, which we began to expect, but y mid week there was no room service and I had to go to the front desk for towels and toilet paper. And because we cooked some days in the room or brought in food, we accumulated lots of trash, which overloaded the small trash cans. Thankful that we brought our own plastic trash bags. However, all of the front desk staff were very accommodating.

Pros: We were there for a wedding. We had a total if 4 rooms.
Cons: We arrived to a warm room and mold on the wall. We had to leave to a rehersal dinner. We returned late that night and a/c was not cooling the room the sinus acted up. We had to go down for another room. At 11pm we were moving to another room. No mold much better
