Friendly service; nice smells as soon as you walk in the lobby; updated and stylish decor in lobby and rooms; comfortable beds; coffee and amenities in the lobby area with computer and printer/copier; free breakfast and buffet has a really nice selection. Where the hotel is set, is just beautiful! Not alot
The location is in a very nice area of Campbell. You can walk to Downtown Campbell with ease and there are good dining options around. The breakfast is very good; it proved beyond expectations. This place is shady and dirty. The jacuzzi wasn't officially closed during our stay....but the grey grime floating in it did not entice a dip. The walkways were covered in trash and bird feces. Cobwebs adorned the railings throughout the complex. Some of the doors DO NOT latch completely; in your carelessness it could be very easy to leave the door completely ajar. The shades and curtains do not cover the windows entirely, leaving late sleepers suffering through sunlite.
Location. Great breakfast. Quiet. Broken door lock.
Room carpet very stained, couldn't tell if it had been cleaned. No matresss pad. Faucets loose, black mold in shower.....
Rate was good Access to room was fine Room was clean Newer in-wall AC unit Quiet (mostly) Parking was free (and had enough spaces) WiFi was working, but barely It's a little tricky to get in/out of (have to be traveling in the right direction on Campbell Ave, not the easiest freeway access despite being next to the freeway) It's quite loud when people walk outside your room (upstairs)
Very friendly, professional front desk staff, clean room, great location. Even complimentary breakfast. Definitely great value! Nothing!
Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Excellent location for our purposes. Clean and comfortable rooms.
Friendly front desk, clean room, extensive breakfast that ends 10am Monday thru Friday and 11am weekends and holidays.
Breakfast was free Rom was dirty asked to be move to another room. Guy at the desk acted like I was putting him out to do his job. Did feel like I was a valued customer. Rooms out dated and the price was not worth it.
Very friendly staff, overall the rooms are nice, clean. Bed was comfortable. Close to where I needed to be for meetings. Breakfast room was large, clean, good selection, good coffee. Would return for work trips, especially for the price! Took >10 minutes for the hot water to get warm...so much so that the first day I showered I didn't even notice the water getting very warm at all even after letting the water run and run for several minutes. My room must have been the farthest from the water heater! Additionally, the room coffee maker had ~1cm of stagnant looking water sitting at the bottom of the reservoir (gross), though because of the free coffee with breakfast it did not matter.
location. I use to put all my clients at this hotel and conduct meetings there because of their proximity to us. The customer loved it because of what was around the hotel and the hotel was in very good condition. Run down, needs a total overhaul. Has lots of competition in the surrounding area, but they could be so attractive, plus they are known because they have been there for so long. Their price was lower than hotels right around them, but that is because they are so run down (by today's standards). They should go for it and update the whole hotel and then advertise the hell out of it. It could be considered a boutique hotel which would differentiate it from other brand name hotels.
There is no lock to the restroom in the room.
I liked how decent it looked for the price we payed it was a nice place. Clean enough for us as in no blood or insects crawling around like other hotels reviews I had read. Nice little studio type of rooms with nice wood floors and a big enough queen bed for two The shower was a one person shower so it wasn't very spacious. The beds were not very comfy but if staying over night it's not a big deal and lastly the locations of the staircases were a bit confusing.
Close to the airport. Outside: -Obvious drug deals visible from the check-in office. -Prostitutes and their escorts in the halls. -Various men with dogs wandering the parking lot. Inside: -Plastic covered mattresses. -Noisy AC unit. -Broken refrigerator. -Cigarette burns on furniture and shower. -Thin walls.
Quiet No access to sodas after certain time
The worst experience ever. I'll never stay again.
Value-for-money, clean and quiet Very limited facilities Basic Wi-Fi could be included in the room package; daily charges for paid Wi-Fi access on the higher side
Nothing It's vert old and dirty, so smelly. I couldn't tell what was in the sink!
Location It was loud, dirty and had lot's of "suspicious" customers. Definitely not recommended.
Staff Not secure quite a lot of police activity and window of my truck was smashed in and my stuff was stolen. Room was cheap till you figure cost of repairs to truck. Not safe
There was nothing good about this motel The building is falling apart. The stairs are held up by boards...very unsafe!!! Very scared. Lots of yelling, slamming doors, kicking and beating on walls. People digging in the dumpster. Couldn't stay another night. Had our money refunded.
Dirty and noisy. I was there for five days and had to get new key cards twice because they stopped working.
Easy access to 101 freeway and San Jose airport Very slow wifi and lack of open electrical plugs.
Location was convenient to my work. No shampoo provided
Place looked nasty, sure sheets seemed clean but old, run down, and flat pillows. Nasty green carpet from the 70's, and just reminded me and my wife of the rich motel. Everything really, especially the uncomfortable beds!
May not be the swankiest place around, but bed was warm and comfortable, and shower hot. Staff very helpful. Wi-Fi, cable, refrigerator, and airport shuttle. Wi-Fi was a bit spotty at location of table in room
It was clean. Very very old facility. Uncomfortable. Cheap as hell. Three little tiny pillows. Couldn't even get a big pillow. They claim to have breakfast but it's a few muffins and some cereal. No plastic plates or silverware. And you can't take anything back to your room. Overall it was just a terrible experience.
The whole thing felt dirty, nothing in the room feels inviting. Also, that was the worst bed to sleep in, my neck is still killing me.
Usually stay at Hilton properties (every Hilton/Mariott was sold out the week I was in town) so that's what I have to base my review on. They were remodeling and trying to improve cleanliness. The staff was friendly. Close to airport, $10 uber ride to downtown. Property was older, somewhat dirty, motel like with parking lot in front of rooms...
I liked the fact they don't use that bug spray in the room most hotels in that price class use. The furniture in the room is newish and the bedsheets didn't have any faint skidmarks that didn't get washed out. What do you expect?? This is a cheap place (even though you sold it to me for $80+ when it's worth $65 after taxes). Hotel staff does not place a hold on the credit card for incidentals but charges the credit card after the guest arrives for $100. This means I have to monitor that those $100 are returned and this is extra work I do not appreciate. I think $80+ whatever I paid is totally overpriced for this hotel, what the hell are you people thinking? The place is also loud and the blinds in the room afford little privacy.
Staff was friendly. Fairly close to shops and attractions if you have a car. This hotel was very old, doors open to parking lot with large windows that were not very secure, the bathrooms had rusty features, the tub was stained, spiderwebs in windows, thin towels, and minimal toiletries, the rooms were stuffy, the thermostat didn't work. I would not choose to stay here alone.
The location was close to downtown and the airport. It was a $90 room vs $200 for a Hampton Inn or similar close by. It was definitely an Inn and not a hotel but the location was safe and rooms were clean and retail was close for dinner. For the price and expectations it was fine. Being a smaller inn and independent you get what you pay for. It was clean and everything worked but it was a bit noisy being next to a busy road and it was raining and the rain flowing through the gutters was quite loud.
Leaving early Feeling like I might be robbed or killed at any moment.
comfortable bed sheets weren't clean neither were some of the towels tv was static no pool or hot tub kayak says there is supposed to be
The room was big and roomy Location and overall appearance of the hotel. It's a rundown place that had a half ass face lift. I also didn't like the fact that the front desk accusede of smoking and denied me from ever booking there again. I wouldn't stay here even if they paid me.
Service was friendly, quick and simple. Happy to help with directions. The water temperature in the sink was didn't get cold.
The room was very clean, the whole property was well kept. The staff was very helpful and friendly. they went out of their way to make sure I was happy. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. The price was steep, but it seems they all are in this area.
We found the room to be very nice and uber clean. Given that there were some negative comments about cleanliness we found that to not be the case, We would stay there again with no concerns.
Leisurely 1.2mi walk to SJCC, partly along trail.
Friendly staff, clean room. Literally the most uncomfortable bed and pillows ever. I didn't expect memory foam obviously but it was like sleeping on a thin layer of springs. My back hurt all day after.
Modern rooms The man at the front desk when I checked in was rude .
Walking distance to SAP Center Room was very small, no closet, no Kleenex , TV was bad and morning coffee had only powdered creamer. Color of the room was awful, bright orange.
Good location, reasonably well maintained, recentlich remodeled rooms. Horrible beds, very noisy A/C, very noisy fridge. Clientel is mostly construction workers travelling on behalf of their employers. Low education, low manners folks. I understand that the have to rise at 5:00 a.m., yet that does not mean that they have to holler and slam doors. Unfortunately the opposite also comes into play. Late-shift guys drinking in the parking lot and on the corridors late into the night with TV blaring.
Location of hotel was near downtown San Jose.
One of the best Motel 6 motels I've experienced. Above average staff, very clean, excellent location for public transportation and very good local cafes and restaurants. I'll be back.
Price, location all excellent. Quality of room compared to advertisement photo accurately. Some street noise, perhaps remodel which was good could have installed sound reducing windows. I was ok however I live with people who would have been annoyed. Outside of room, facility was a bit plain; however, much cheaper than other hotels in area. In my opinion you're getting a champagne light room in a beer facility on a beer budget.
The staff was very friendly and Made genuine efforts to recommend restaurants in the surrounding area.
There was a fridge and a microwave, a couch, many pillows etc standard room nothing extraordinary Remote did not work had to go change it, carpet was so filthy that when I walked barefoot for a few minutes my feet were black it's disgusting
Dried poop on toilet bowl from who knows when. Dirt everywhere. Uncomfortable pillows. TV did not work properly. Water bottle dispenser outside out of order for 4 days. It goes on an on. Nothing
Our room was very clean and the extras were great! Small Parking area and limited Handicap
It was close to plenty of places. It was affordable. It really reeked of cigarettes and smoke. :-/ The smell penetrated our clothes and luggage.
Smelled like smoke. Wireless didn't work all week. Found cockroach in sink one morning.
The phone in my room did not work and only one outlet worked. The people next door were loud, enjoying each other too much on a night I needed rest for the next day. Safety was a concern of mine.
I was there just for 3 day convention and the location was a five dollar Uber ride away. Older building and dirty surrounding.
The front desk worker was very nice. She asked why we were there and was able to carry on a conversation with a smile. There were a few workers on the grounds who also were plesant and said good morning to us. The room was not very clean. There was grime and spills on all of the drawer fronts. The sheets were clean and the bed soft but we were afraid to take our shoes off and walk on the carpet. The location was horrible. It did not appear to be a very nice part of town. Everything in the hotel seemed old and dingy. It needs a good updating. The breakfast was mediocre at best and there was no place to sit. It seemed like it was an after thought. We will never return and would not suggest this hotel to anyone.
The AC stank like someone with necrotic body odour. And there was nothing they could do about it. I couldn't sleep well because of it (and I even tried keeping it off but it got too warm). Checked out a few days early, I couldn't stand it any longer.
The condition of my room was not good at all. Their was a water leak in the bathroom that created a large bubble in the paint above the shower. Also it was missing patches of carpet.
Would never go back again. Police patrol on a regular drive by Scary, children are not safe.
Roaches, drug activity,I woke up to a fight outside my room door. Two females, this was at 2 am. No security I went to the front and nobody at the front desk 10 minutes I waited. The next morning at 10a the cable went out.I called front desk he said it happens alot. Couldn't tell me wen it would be fixed.I left for the whole day back that night alot of activity in the parking lot, people hanging outside rooms and on stairs.I would not stay here again and do not recommend this place to anyone.
Nothing. I felt i was in a war torn country. Below human standard. Doesn't belong in San Jose. Everything. No shampoo. Reeked of smoke. Dirty. Prostitute house. Lousy beds. Lousy TVs. Worst ever. Dont have it in Search list.
customer service not good smoke dector buzzed all night couldnt get help at desk refrigerator didnt work the only positive didnt have bugs Everything will never stay again
Security guard 24/7 watching the cars in the parking lot and nice guy at front desk who moved us to a different room with less cockroaches..... COCKROACHES EVERYWHERE, and really shady ghetto people. Beds were also very uncomfortable, pillows felt like cardboard and the blanket was basically a sheet.
NOTHING! Disgusting motel!
Nothing Our bed was rockhard, her room reeked of cigarettes even that was a non-smoking room. It were people " living" in the hotel who would stare at you as you walk in and out of your room and to your vehicle. We first arrive at the hotel there were four police officers looking for certain person was living in the hotel. There was a security guy that was very useless after hours who would always questioning you and give you a dirty look when you wanted into the hotel. I would never stay here again know what I recommend this motel anybody pay a couple more dollars and stay at any other hotel if you know what's good for you.
I thought it was interesting that police was searching one of the rooms two doors away from me that was in shambles when I first went to my room. This place needs to be demolished and rebuilt and taken off the hotel search engines. If you want to check off surviving the night in a rough looking area? this your place and an added bonus of roaches, bed bugs, high probability is where the prostitutes check in because they got to go somewhere. I give this place no stars and if anyone give this place a good rating is because they work there or have a friend that work there or lives like place.
My staya unfortunatelyk was only fo rone night, but the room was very comfortale, and the staff were courteous and friendly. No there long enough to form an opinion
Cleanliness, excellent staff, good location
Kind staff always smiling and helpful. The location in the middle of El Camino Real in San Jose. The room was clean and comfortable. The price value is excellent.
yeah, the hotel was fine and good. We stayed there for 6 nights, it was all perfect, though we use to get up early in the morning and getback in the eveing for a comfortable sleep. Every thing was available as mentioned on the website, the location was perfect as near to light rail station, there was denny's resturant 7/24 open. The staff was also very cooperative, there was a continental breakfast every morning, i think in this price it was good then just OK. The wifi was a little bit shaky, it didnt work proparly, i had mentioned this problem to the staff over there.
Room well equipped (refrigerator, microwave, WiFi, TV, Iron, ...). A rail service station is located very close to the hotel. A Dennis restaurant (24 hours) is next to the hotel entrance and there is a small grocery store (7/11) some steps away. The hotel personal was always kind and prompt to help. The carpet in the room was not in a very good condition and not very clean. This may cause problems to allergic people. The breakfast is not what one may expect. There are packed muffins, juice and some fruits that can be picked up, but the hotel does not have facilities to serve a breakfast.
Front desk support. Parking lot close to the apartment, many people flow in/out and than to much car noises and people talking.
Very close to public transportation and 7/11 nearby. Continental Breakfast is not good. Wifi does not work when too many people staying at the hotel. It is a motel rather than a Hotel.
I've stayed here every fifth week for business. The owner Danny cares about his hotel. He is friendly as well as the staff. The room is always perfectly cleaned. Since I always request a room way in the back and upstairs, I feel especially safe there and it is quiet with the exception of airport noise in morning. During the week they are a lot of construction workers who overnight there. Basically, they are quiet since they have to get up early to work. There are 2 freeways nearby which is very convenient and also a Denny"s right in the parking lot!
Many long stay customers. Construction workers? Had the atmosphere of a truckstop.
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Location was convenient with public transportation available right in front of the office and major freeways within a few blocks. Outside noise was non-existent. Parking was easy and even with a 24 hour restaurant sharing the same parking lot there was always a spot near the room. I would stay here again. Shower rod was rusty and should be replaced or painted. Ironing board was broken and had to be replaced but staff attended to it quickly. Motion sensor for light shut off was located behind a curtain so it could not sense movement in the room and would plunge us into darkness without warning. Shaking the curtain remedied the problem. Sound of water from upstairs shower was loud.
Location was easy to find and access from freeway, light rail right across the street, free parking, free wireless, quiet. Restaurant and 7/11 very handy.
Resting No milk in the fridge, no coffee made it inconvient for us we had to go to the office to make coffee and have our breakfast, whereas we could just make it in our room.
Free parking, easy to find, fast to take local transportation. Breakfast.
The staff was nice to me, other guests checking in around me were kinda jerks, so when I wasn't they treated me nicer. I got what I paid for, an inexpensive place to crash, and I had no delusions about this place being a five star joint. It was an affordable, not filthy place to stay for less $$ than nearby competitors. I was a little weirded out by the need to have razor wire up between this motel and the next one over. How rough are the pricing wars between motels that you'd need razor wire up between the two? And the fact that I had to run the shower a good 30-45 seconds to flush out the brown/rust water from the shower before getting in was a bit off-putting.
