Pros: Brand new hotel, modern and hip. Loved the decor. Super comfy beds. Great breakfast buffet.

Cons: Not a thing. It was fabulous. And fun!
Pros: Very clean room, comfortable bed;the entire facility was clean & new. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Close proximity to everywhere we wanted to visit, like downtown Austin. Complementary fresh breakfast and fast Internet. Excellent hotel!

Cons: Hotel & pool area are overcrowded with 20-30 yr olds partying in Austin for the weekend. Spa is very disappointing. It was very obviously an afterthought. Bed linens were not what JW brand is supposed to provide - they were Courtyard level (check the tags!)
Pros: The location was awesome, the staff was super friendly and very accommodating, the room was clean and had an amazing view of downtown. Overall it was perfect for a couple of girlfriends and I to getaway and explore austin.
Cons: One thing that I didn't like was that the pool was extremely crowded every day and night that we were there. There was barely room to get IN the pool (you were pretty much shoulder to shoulder in there) let alone find a chair to relax on because they were all taken. We were really excited about the pool too but turns out it wasn't so relaxing. That's my only complaint tho, this hotel was amazing so I can't blame everyone wanting to be there and to enjoy the pool as well.
Pros: I liked how friendly the staff was. The entire place is super clean and nice. Accessible to many great restaurants and 6th st. Also there's a lake only two blocks away!
Cons: The only reason why I didn't give it a five stars rating is because the entrance to the parking lot is so busy. They only had one entrance and unless you valet you were waiting to get into the garage. On the upside the wait was less than 7 minutes. Also the pool bar needs more kore bartenders. The pool attendees were really nice once you flag them down for attention.
Pros: Everything! Beautiful room, beautiful city, excellent location.
Pros: Very new and nice hotel. Very big hotel that has hundreds of people in the lobby at a given time. Never had a bad stay there and service is good. But always feel like I am a convention when I stay there.
Cons: Rooms very average...In addition it was very noisy, could hear everything going on opening/closing of doors.. etc.
Pros: The JW is centrally located to the Austin downtown area and many trendy restaurants and bars were within walking distance. In addition, the room, staff and on-site restaurants were excellent.
Cons: When I spend that amount of money for a nightly accommodation, WiFi and Internet need to be a part of the package.
Pros: Great gym/workout facility
Very comfortable room
Love the full length windows and light
Cons: Charge $$$ for wifi
Noise from the street was surprisingly loud, even on the 30th floor
Pros: When we checked in there was a candy wrapper on floor, pieces of trash in closet and a small piece on bathroom floor. I had to call housekeeping to clean our room Saturday after 4:30 pm. They didn't wipe the tops of bedside tables that needed it.
Cons: Parking service was a nightmare. Long wait times.

Pros: Nice property - well located - helpful staff
Cons: We stayed in room 7025. Elevator noise was loud all night. Not people getting in/out - it was mechanical clunking - loud and random
Pros: Staff very responsive to needs
Pros: Great value for the money in terms of the room, service, amenities, and especially the location. We don't stay anywhere else when we come to Austin.
Pros: Centrally located, nice & clean
Cons: Currently the construction in town is a bit challenging.
Pros: Walk ability around campus to attend commencement, sleek yet warm.
Cons: No complementary earplugs, People's conversations passing by would echo down hallway throughout the night.
Pros: Efficient, nicely appointed rooms, friendly people.
Pros: Location and friendliness of staff
Cons: Very pricey.
Pros: VERY comfortable bed and pillows! The staff was very nice and professional. I was visiting my daughter who lives on campus so it was great to be so close.
Pros: This was my first time to Austin and it was amazing! Hotel was very nice and clean, the staff were very helpful with everything! I arrived late in the evening and loved that I got an email from the Hotel Concierge to confirm my arrival!

Cons: The valet was torn up with construction.
The lobby and hallways literally smelt like a sewer.
The mezzanine was stacked with old furniture.
The once famous bar was loud noisy and also smelt like a sewer.
The bathroom had chipped paint and a cracked floor length mirror. There was no counter space in the bathroom.
The glass top furniture had dried paint drops on top from lack of a drop cloth.
Pros: Beautiful historic hotel. Great staff. Great central location. Food was amazing in Cafe and at the Grill. Dog friendly (they have doggie concierge kits with bed, bowls, treats and poop bags).
Cons: The petite rooms really are petite, so be aware of that when you book, but in all honestly, you're only there to sleep and shower so it's definitely not a deal breaker.
Pros: Had massive character and charm. Gorgeous lobby. Bar always always had a nice vibe.
Cons: There was an old musty odor in the bar and lobby. Reminded me of an old basement. Parking was $40/day.
Pros: Great food menu with healthy choices. Friendly staff. Nice tall ceilings in room. Great location. Nice decor for the holidays.
Pros: What a great stay! The staff was helpful and friendly from start to finish. It was like taking a step back in time without having to give up any modern conveniences. The price is worth all the little details.
Pros: The staff, at every level, were responsive and had amazing attitudes. Very well done.
Pros: The hotel decor and ambiance is very nicely done, makes you feel like you are in the midst of royalty.
The bed is very comfortable.
The service is excellent, we needed a few extra things since my wife wanted to celebrate my birthday.
The bakery downstairs made a real good cake.
The location of the hotel is great, it is right in the middle of the nightlife of Austin and makes going bar hopping or clubbing that much easier, cant imagine a better location.
Cons: The elevator floor tiles were duck taped on which was odd.
The room is a little small by texas standards but ok by NY standards.
There is a surprising number fo bums on the streets outside, just ignore them and be on your own way, if you are from NYC you'll be fine but even otherwise nothing to be alarmed of.
A bit pricey.
Pros: beautiful location in the middle of the city. Rooms are beautiful and very romantic.
Pros: We had a wonderful stay at the driskill. The staff was very helpful with suggestions on what to do in the area. We were staying for my birthday and web we arrived they had chocolate covered strawberries and champagne delivered to the room.
Pros: Bed was amazing, architecture was beautiful, right in the heart of 6th street entertainment district
Cons: Had issues with Valet parking service on two separate occasions. Normally I wouldn't mind, but when I have to pay for parking at a nightly rate then I expect service to match.
Pros: Location on 6th street was unmatched, excellent service as should be expected
Cons: The room i was in wasnt worth the price paid, even though location couldnt be better.
The Driskill remains a landmark of legendary Texas hospitality. Located on Sixth Street in the heart of downtown Austin, the luxurious, historic hotel is convenient to all that the city has to offer, including the Texas State Capitol, convention center, opera, symphony, fine dining, shopping, and Austin's 6th Street music scene. Known as the "Live Music Capital of the World,®" Austin is home to nearly 200 music venues, many within walking distance of The Driskill.
Cons: Terrible water pressure in the shower (On the top floor)
Pros: Can't beat the location. The staff were on top of it. Rooms were comfy and clean. All in all, I'd definitely stay again.
Cons: Our room, 1927, was directly under the gym, and we could hear the dropping of weights. The pool area was a really nice rooftop pool but was super crowded- a little too small for a hotel this size.
Pros: The Westin is in a great location especially if you're thinking of partaking in Austin's nightlife. Accommodations were top-notch. Alessandra at the front desk was extremely helpful and polite.

Pros: The people are wonderful. The hotel is beautiful with a perfect location. We enjoy staying here everytime we visit.
Cons: No room service. They have a restaraunt but refuse to deliver to rooms
Pros: The bed was real nice.
Cons: Elevator problems, floors close at certain times, breakfest was not good, and expensive. Room was not worth as much as payed
Pros: Great check in and room.
Pros: location and ambiance
Pros: Loved the ambiance and decor of the hotel. Wish we had spent more time at the hotel but we had a packed agenda our entire trip.
Pros: It's located away from the city close to a lot of different hiking trails.
Pros: Very clean rooms and great location
Cons: I left my clothes in that hotel, But the house keep person didn't turn it in to lost department.I like my pant really much, and it's not a cheap pant.
Cons: We parked in the parking garage early but left to visit and eat dinner with our family. When we returned at 10:45 PM, the hotel parking garage was full, and we had to park in another parking garage over a block away.
Pros: Excellent hotel, beautiful lobby, very nice room, super clean room, very helpful staff, k cup coffee in room. I travel a lot. Haven't seen this nice hotel.
A hearty welcome awaits you deep in the heart of Texas at the new Sonesta Bee Cave Austin. Convenient to the businesses and vibrant music scene and culture of Austin - just 20 minutes away - the newest member of the Sonesta Collection enjoys views of the Texas Hill Country. The hotel's earthen palette and energy reflect these beautiful surroundings, enhanced with hand-crafted woods and rich textures of stones and other natural materials. It's contemporary chic, with a touch of Austin's laid-back vibe.
Pros: Great beds, room sizes, clean bathrooms, great breakfast, nice staff
Cons: The heating unit in 302 never regulated. You had to turn the whole unit off or the room would get very hot. The heating unit in 304 would spit out about 2 minutes of hot air then the air would turn cold. It would shut off in its own and the whole night stayed at about 65 degrees, we needed to use extra blankets provided.
Pros: The room was spacious, the bed comfortable. It was quiet. Close proximity to dining and a convenience store.
Cons: The breakfast was not ready at the scheduled time. It was however, the typical hit breakfast iI was expecting when it was finally ready.
Pros: Staff were great, breakfast was a great variety, nothing in the room was broken or loose. Nice hotel!!
Cons: Floors not insulated very well. Had a problem with noise from room above us.

Pros: I loved the cleanliness and how quiet the hotel was.
Cons: I had an issue with the front desk. When I arrived, no one was at the front desk. It was about a minute before an employee arrived. The lobby was empty. As I stood at the check-in desk, an older white man came in And also stood in line. When the employee finally showed up, he greeted and assisted the man that was behind me. He didn't acknowledge or greet me until he was done assisting the man that was clearly behind me. What ever happened to waiting in line and waiting your turn? I truly feel as though it was racial. I'm a dark skin latino and I've had many other situations like this happen to me throughout my life.
Pros: Pancakes for breakfast, computer and printer availability
Cons: breakfast ending at 9:30, pillows were WAY too soft, could hear normal conversation from adjoining room, internet was not working one evening, exit signs in hallways were not placed properly

Pros: Staff was very helpful, place was clean, well located across the street from the Driskill and at the start of dirty sixth. Pretty easy to get around with walking, bus or taxi.
Overall I would strongly recommend this place for single travelers looking for a hostel experience in Austin, cant imagine they will find anything better
Cons: Would be nice if there were drapes that covered the bed like I have had at other hostels and power outlets next to each bed so when you are on the top bunk it's easier to charge your phone. Also, the lockers could be a tiny bit bigger, not that they were small, but my bag was a regular airline bag and if the locker was just a tiny bit bigger I could have fit the entire thing in there (thats what she said)
Firehouse Hostel offers a great location, putting you within a 15-minute walk of Austin City Limits and Governor's Mansion. Free perks include continental breakfast and WiFi. Also, Texas State Capitol and Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum are within a short drive.
Pros: The hotel is right in the middle of Austin. Perfect for walking to the Capitol, downtown bars and restaurants, and South Congress. Great staff. Lovely room.
Pros: Cleanliness, and friendly staff. Downtown location is great for exploring 6th st area. South Congress is a long walk (esp. in hot sun), but was still do-able.
Cons: Parking at the hotel is $40 / night by valet. We ended up at a nearby garage @ $24 / night.
Pros: Location was great and the staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful.
Pros: In "nice" hotels like this, one oftentimes encounters staff workers that are acerbic and demeaning w/o realizing it because the culture of the environment encourages that behavior.
The staff in this case was excellent and down to earth. They smiled and laughed when I joked around w/ them (and I am funny .... and cute!).
Most notably was our concierge, "Chenisse Johns," OUTSTANDING!. She was so helpful w/ many of our questions whether giving us directions for local restaurants or providing us w/ an upgrade in our room - which we took advantage of on the last night of our stay!
The rooms on the 16th floor were fantastic and grand. They were quiet, allowing us to really SLEEP & wake up refreshed.
I definitely would stay here again.
OH, it's right in the heart of downtown, thus one can walk anywhere from the hotel.
Pros: Everything except the valet parking (that service was good & prompt, though); self park would have been preferable.
Staff-ALL staff-was excellent, highly competent & knowledgeable, courteous, professional and friendly. I believe that the SFA hotel staff could compare favorably with hotels ANYWHERE.
Cons: Only indoor pool; outdoor pool would have been preferable.
Would have rather had self-parking available than valet parking
The Hotel finished a multimillion dollar renovation of all guestrooms suites and public areas in March of 2013. Affectionately known as the ‘Stephen F ’ this Austin luxury hotel is ideally placed on Congress Avenue. The unique Art Deco façade is a famous Austin landmark and has been part of the city scene for more than 60 years. At the heart of the culture capital of Texas this Austin luxury hotel is just blocks from art museums the state capitol and right next door to Paramount Theatre.
Pros: Whether you are staying one night or one month, Drifter Jacks is the most affordable and comfortable place you can stay! Perfect for solo travelers and groups, the location is close enough to attractions and sits right on a major bus route. I stayed for a week and was comfortable the entire trip. Ethan and Jaime were especially wonderful hosts, however the entire staff was friendly and courteous. Coffee and tea were available 24 hours and breakfast was available every morning which was a huge bonus, especially since the nightly rate was so low! Can't wait to stay again, I will be recommending Drifter Jack's to all my friends traveling to Austin!
Drifter Jack's Hostel puts you in a great location, within a 15-minute walk of University of Texas Tower and University of Texas at Austin. Guests will have free perks like breakfast, WiFi, and self parking. Also, Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum and Blanton Museum of Art are just a 5-minute drive away.

Pros: Updated, excellent room with mini kitchen (microwave, fridge, sink) room had two areas: a sitting room with hid-a-bed , kitchenette, desk and tv; and bedroom with tv and big bed and closet.
Cons: Pool was a bit unattended and not very clean.
Pros: We like this location. It's a nice set up because the rooms are true suite in the sense of being two separate room, with two tv, and pull out couch. Bed is very comfortable. Great deal for the price.
Cons: The sink did not drain properly. The toilet seat was lose.
Pros: Location is great and breakfast was decent.
Cons: Internet wasn't working
Pros: The hotel is modern and bright. Room was large. The front staff gave us additional towels when we asked for them.
Cons: Breakfast was average. They forgot to clean our room, but since we were only there 2 nights, it wasn't a big deal. At check out, the management was apologetic.
Pros: Cleanliness, Room Size and location
Pros: great room!
Cons: Breakfast was lacking and would actually like to have REAL butter, better syrup (not the sugar free kind), and whole milk!
Pros: Location and price
Cons: The powder eggs for the free continential breakfast
Pros: bed was comfortable and AC worked great
Cons: No wifi to speak of. did not exist Saturday when I arrived and worked sporadically Sunday and Monday!
Pros: Comfortable bed and nice appearance are a definite plus.
Cons: There were a number of deferred maintenance items that disrupted our stay. First, on the second of five nights, the air conditioning went out, and I had to move. The bath faucet was extremely loose, the TP holder was falling off and the carpet was stained
Pros: Easy access to I35. Free breakfast was decent.
Cons: TV didn't work in the bedroom. TV system did not have CNBC. Not good for business travelers. Workout room was basically an exercise bike and two machines that didn't work. No weights. Stayed at a 3-star the night before and this was nowhere that.
Pros: Comfortable beds, room was clean, free breakfast was great
Cons: Shower handle in bathroom was broken off, could not turn on hot water. A light in the bathroom was missing it's covering. Coffee maker in room was broken.
Pros: Desk staff checking us in and woman from the office are superior. The hotel is very clean and new. Breakfast was great. Suite was very very nice. Severla fast food places and gas stations within a few steps. Quick on and off the interstate.
Each Guest Room is a One Bedroom Suite featuring a king or two queen beds with a separate living room which includes a sleeper sofa, kitchenette with wet bar, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Each room is equipped with two flat panel televisions. Each morning the hotel offers a complimentary hot Be Our Guest Breakfast buffet. Wireless internet access throughout the hotel is complimentary as are the Business Center and Fitness Center. A large outdoor pool and a cozy back patio provide fun and relaxation.
Pros: The staff is very courteous and welcoming. The location is great if you want to enjoy a night on the town without having to drive. The rooms look nice and were clean.
Cons: Parking says $29 a day for guests (actually $37.89 after all fees). I was charged for valet parking, which I never used so I had to call and dispute it.
There was a party going on down the hall which did not bother us, until we got a voicemail saying we were going to get kicked out if we get another noise complaint in the morning from management on the first night. We decided to stay away from the hotel for as long as possible to be safe.
We asked for a specific room type. Just in case, called the hotel before we arrived to make sure it was ready. They confirmed everything was ready. Once we arrived, they put us in a different room than requested and said it was the best they could do.
Pros: I was able to book the room right before KW Mega Camp at a great rate. It's right next to the Convention center and close enough to 6th Street.
Cons: It could have come with a fridge instead of having to request it and bottled water.
Pros: Location, Staff, and Comfy
Cons: Expensive Valet.
Pros: Helpful, friendly staff. Sundries shop open 24 hours.
Cons: Housekeeping sometimes didn't supply enough shampoo for 2 people.
Pros: Double charged me.

Pros: Close to where I needed to be. Room was fine.
Cons: It advertised as pet friendly but never mentioned the additional $50 non refundable fee. I had no choice but to pay it, but if I had known, I would have stayed at a different hotel such as la Quinta who does not charge extra for pets and is an equally nice hotel.

Cons: Concierge staff and bellmen are terribly rude. They were having personal conversations and disregarded guests.
The double beds were not queen size beds so they're small and uncodortable.
Pros: Woke up at 2 am to find the hallway full of cops evicting the couple opposite our room. Manager wasn't very apologetic for the disturbance.
Room service (quick)
Cons: Heater did not work they gave us a portable heater and could not fix the heater. The days we stayed were cold so the portable heater was used but really didnt like having to do that extra work have having to make sure to turn it off before heading out.
Pros: I enjoyed the scenery with all the extra amenities! We were grateful for not having to go out on the town and place ourselves in a precarious situation! The local restaurant and bar greatly satisfied our pleasures! The comfort and relaxing atmosphere of our room made it for a romantic night! We highly recommend your facility and plan to make more future stays at your location! Thank you for exceeding our expectations !
Pros: Good if you're traveling for business.
Cons: Facilities are just okay.
Cons: Our shower flooded and my husband's side of the mattress had what seemed like a broken spring or hole that sank down very deep. Our mini fridge was warm, nothing inside was cold or even cool. The light was on but it wasn't working. The Internet was $9.99 a day and then it didn't even work! I called for help twice, the first time they transferred my call to an offsite wifi support line - not helpful. The second time they were very rude and said they would be sending up engineers. We waited for 1.5 hours before giving up as they never showed up. If you can't help us that would be one thing, but don't say you'll help and then not show up! We left the next morning for another hotel that didn't feel outdated and had better service, better mattresses, and free internet.
Pros: Miguel Dubose was very accommodating when I called needing to let my fiancé check in before I myself was able to arrive. Our cleaning lady was very friendly and when I asked for a fan for the room she made it happen. Our server Fransico was very personable and friendly.
Cons: Hmmm where do I start? Pictures online associated with the Omni downtown are pretty deceiving. The television in our room had a terrible picture. None of the hdmi ports worked or would even register that anything had been plugged into them.
The AC in our room was useless. The coldest the room would get was 74 degrees. The unit would allow you to go as low as 60 degrees but the room never got below 74 and that was at 2-4am by the time it would cool to 74. We couldn't sleep or was so hot in the room. I called the front desk twice and they told me they would send an engineer to access the problem. He never arrived. Once I asked our cleaning lady she brought me a small fan. But at that point something was better than nothing. We could hear the entire conversation of the guests in the room next to us. The mattress are quite firm. Not that big of a deal. But the fact of not being able to sleep due to being sweaty and sticky was very annoying. Not once did anyone ask us if we would like to move to a different room. Maybe one where the AC actually worked worth a flip. The safe in our room was malfunicationing and would not open. Spent ten minutes trying to get into our room safe to remove my belongings. We live in Dallas and have never had an issue at the omni Dallas. But I will say that I will not stay at the omni in Austin again!
Pros: Convenient location, great room, comfortable bed, good restaurant for breakfast, nice bar. Would stay again!
Cons: You can hear the music from sixth street on Friday nights-but you're in Austin right?
Pros: Great staff, location, and layout!!
Cons: The shower was our only issue. The temperature was either scolding hot or ice cold. Made showering very uncomfortable.
Pros: The pool is nice, the service was good, the location is ok.
Cons: Way too loud and I was told that I should have expected the noisy drunk people outside my door for 2 hours every morning when the bars let out because it's the weekend.
I wouldn't stay here unless you like frat parties.
Pros: Nice place. Great rooftop pool!
Cons: Some things in this place didn't quite work as intended. However management was quick to resolve the issue.
Cons: It was extremely loud with guests partying until all hours and loudness outside.
