Pros: Updated rooms, nice decor, friendly staff and an overall great value.
Cons: There is an outdoor fire pit that looks great but is open too late and attracts a crowd that can be heard from your room if you are on the back side of the hotel. People where out there until after midnight making it a rough night when your up at 5:00am.
7.1 Good
Pros: The room was clean.
Cons: We thought it was affordable then the front counter said we still owed $5, even after we prepaid online. Then after we checked out the charged my card an additional $10, along with the $20 hold they put on the account t at check in. So a grand total of $35 additional dollars ($20 of which Im SUPPOSED to get back). After we paid online it should of been paid in full. False advertising.....
7.5 Good
Pros: It was a nice outdoor patio, big rooms, comfortable bed
Cons: Elevator is loud and shaky, no microwave in the room, need more insulation the ceiling and walls.( could not sleep first night somebody up above us running back and forth in the room and jumping) until about 1: 30 -2. Can hear people talking. And we booked our room early like in February and got charged for our stay for two nights and then got charged another fee when we checked in. (Second hotel in Battle Creek that has issues with billing) very disappointed we got charged another 41 something when we checked in on Friday. I called and was told it is in case we damage or use something or calls like that was told will be removed Sunday but still there today on Tuesday. Feel we should get credit for first night not much sleep with our granddaughters graduation party the next day we were djing for. Thank You, Brenda and Mike Gokey

Manager Douglas T. never came out of the "back room" to speak us, also after the power was restored a "stink bug" was discovered in the bed. Placed bug in plastic bag and gave to Glenda at the front desk. My wife had a difficult time getting to sleep after the bug. Personally I slept like a baby.

5.5 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was good.

Cons: Rooms could be updated and I would rather not have a bedspread. We like duvets covered with 2 sheets like in comfort in. Not sure how often the bedspreads are cleaned

5.8 Okay
Pros: The bathrooms were nice but a little small, and the rooms were pretty big. The staff were very friendly and remembered my name and what room I was in.
Cons: The hotel needs updated. The pool was freezing. We asked if they could turn the heat on for the pool and the staff response was, “the water is regulated by the body temperature.” Not exactly sure how that works. I am definitely glad we weren’t on the second floor because there isn’t an elevator.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Other than the odor that was present in the room the, room was clean and neat.
Cons: The rooms have a foul odor. We were with a large group. More than one family mentioned it. I believe it came from the old rugs and air vents. There was a lot of visible dust in the air vent in the bathroom.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect. It was close to Binder Park Zoo and Firekeepers Casino. I loved that it was close to a variety of restaurants. We ate at Red Lobster for dinner and Bob Evans for breakfast.

4.3 Okay
Cons: The pool and hot tub were gross. The staff didn't want to give extra towels. Breakfast was gone before the cut off time. The location wasn't what was expected. Looked more like an apartment complex than a hotel. Disappointing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: My room was very clean. Close the Bedford Valley golf course (10minutes). Prices are very reasonable. Close to a couple downtown good restaurants and within 6-8 minutes from a large grocery store etc.
Cons: Neighborhood is a little “sketchy” but have now stayed here 4 times without any issues. Never felt unsafe but the surroundings may give the wrong impression.
4.5 Okay
Pros: . The location was nice
Cons: I requested a handicap room if not avaible then lower level. There were handicap avaible that they gave to other people who I talked to and they didn't need the room or even have resverations It was hard to get around the room with my walker. Didn't have enough towels or coffee had to keep requesting. They ran out of food at breakfast also.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Any positive was quickly overshadowed by 1 employee, the owner’s son. The rest of our complaint: Other employees were visibly afraid of him. Perhaps there is more entitlement going on? Perhaps the on site inspection that is “corporate policy” may help resolve that issue? Perhaps listen to what corporate has told you and attempt a resolution instead of ignoring the situation?
Cons: Exactly how unsafe is your parking lot for guests? Per a male employee, “my parents own this establishment and I park there (handicap parking) so my car doesn’t get dinged.” He followed up with, “I can move it if someone needs the spot”. The attached picture is from July 12-13. After his disgusting entitled attitude, we were then harassed by this employee. He had seen our handicap placard and my husband in his wheelchair many times, yet felt the need to send another employee over to ask me if I’m disabled and if I have a handicap placard? Then hang up calls to our room later that evening, to the point I had to take the phone off the hook? After my first call to corporate (before the harassment), I received a disrespectful email from the owner. The ONLY resolution I requested was for him to move his car and not take a handicap spot from a person with disabilities. Corporate stated, since it’s an ADA violation it’s corporate policy to send someone to the site. After the hang up calls, the harassment was bad enough I called corporate again. At this point, I was given no choice than to let them know it was affecting my husband’s PTSD and the need for him to use more medication. I’m disgusted by the behaviors and entitlement of the owner’s son. 2 resolution dates have since come and passed with no contact on your part. Mommy and daddy owning the establishment does NOT trump Federal law! The Americans with Disabilities Act does NOT have an entitlement clause! NO, we were not going to search for you and ask you to move your illegally parked vehicle each day when returning to the hotel! There is a reason for these LAWS and it definitely isn’t entitlement. July 14, as he saw us driving away (knowing we had checked out) he was backing into .... the exact handicap spot we pulled out of. I stopped my vehicle, he moved and created his own parking spot. The entitlement is still there and the OWNERS are responsible.

7.0 Good
Pros: Front desk check in man was super friendly
Cons: It was over 82 degrees everywhere in the main areas of hotel. My air conditioning unit in my hotel room was turned to OFF so it took it a long time to cool off and I was ready for bed! We had big group and congregated in common area at 82 degrees!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pool and hot tub was great Staff was friendly and helpful jam not from a bigger city so they were more than helpful to show us how to get from place to place .
Cons: Got stuck in the elevator for a minute so 3 flights of stairs for 2 days made it a workout .think it was fixed before we went home
4.0 Okay
Pros: The staff was very nice.
Cons: Seemed like only 2 or 3 people working at hotel. Checked in on Monday and had to deal with toilet that was backing up and wasn't until Wednesday that they decided to have someone come in to run a snake. Taste of breakfast was not good.
5.0 Okay
Pros: leaving
Cons: tv did not work right, bathroom door squeeks, air conditioner very loud.doors unlocked everywhere!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It’s a nice middle of the road older property with good staff and clean environment
6.3 Good
Pros: Room was clean and liked that it had a microwave and refrigerator!
Cons: We didn’t like the bathroom....very small and the light had a fan that would drive you crazy.... it was so noisy!
5.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast area was decent.
Cons: The room is in need of an update. The air conditioning unit in the room was leaking water and the carpet was soaked. One of the walls was dirty. Looked like someone may have wiped blood on the wall. A pillow in the bed had a blood stain that could be seen thru the white pillow case. All of this just made the room not feel clean. A couple more towels were requested and I was told they didn't have any more. One of the chairs in the room had stains all over it. I had to stop by the desk each time that I was coming and going to get my room key swiped again or it didn't work. Also, one time when I stopped by the desk to get my key swiped a few of the staff were outside smoking. No one was at the desk. I have never given a review like this before. I just feel that when I pay $ for a room I have a higher expectation.
5.5 Okay
Pros: the breakfast staff person was friendly, the windows opened, our location was quiet, beds comfy, maintanence staff person attended to poorly flushing toilet immediatly
Cons: key carder was not working, filthy air conditioner filter, sheets looked like they had been slept in, internet did not work, ice machine broken, the spa destroyed 2 swimsuits and irritated our skin (due to extremely high chlorine/bromine)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, I was disappointed there was no meat included.
Cons: The bathroom walls by the toilet left alot to be desired, broken plaster and tiles missing and disrepair.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I don't vacation AT hotels so I don't like to spend $150+ per night for a bed to sleep in and don't care much about heated towels racks and large luxurious bathrooms etc. I like a clean room and safe location. This room was clean and the bathroom was too although it was small. The air conditioner was quiet. Not a fancy room but it met our needs perfectly. I was a little concerned after reading other reviews but our stay was comfortable. The free breakfast was good. Fruit, eggs, sausage gravy, biscuits, sausage patties, cereal, waffles, etc. The eating area was small but it's not a banquet hall...it's a hotel! The breakfast area worker was 82 years old and just the sweetest lady, super friendly! She was full of information about the area shopping and was constantly wiping down tables and counters and tidying up. The area didn't feel unsafe and was close to the highway for easy access to the casino and shopping. For the price it was just what we needed. Everyone was friendly to us.
Cons: The entrance was a little obscure and could be better lit since its tucked back among trees on sort of a residential stretch of road. Pool was small and looked cloudy so we didn't swim but it was open til 11 pm which is later than most.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Hot tub
Cons: We had to change sheets. There was hair on them!. Trash on floor.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nothing special.
Cons: Room was hot - air conditioning did not work well. Ice machine didn't work on our floor.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Conveniently located and not too far from the casino. Very comfortable bed.
Cons: Hotel was overbooked because of the power outage but they handled it well.

Cons: Don't expect too much. It is an older Inn. Nothing is fresh or new, but it all works. The staff rushed us the morning of check out returning to the room every 15 minutes until I went to the office, it was handled then.

Cons: The sink faucet leaks at the base when the water is turned on. Toilet paper holder in the b-room not installed properly in the wall, shower head unscrews from the supply pipe when showering and adjusting the shower spray. Bathroom has zipzero operational vent fan. Room lights flickered off and on throughout our stay for no obvious reason. Refrigerator took all all night to get anything in it slightly chilled. 8.8 Excellent
Pros: See above. Customer service was outstanding
Cons: Customer service was outstanding! The new owners are renovating this older Travellodge so if you don't mind a few minor defects this is the place to stay. They helped us with our luggage and even fixed my husband a waffle one morning. There was nothing we did not like.
