Upon arrival we were greeted by the charming receptionist who directed us to our room. The first impression was lasting. The staff, particularly Florence were enchanting and made our stay of 7 nights memorable.
La Métairie is a charming hotel in a lovely setting. We enjoyed the small, intimate feeling and welcoming hospitality. The food was fantastic. I booked a twin room and in booking sought assurances that there were indeed two beds in the room. However when we arrived we were given a double room and told that as they were full there was nothing that could be done about it. It was disappointing and out of keeping with the rest of our stay that there was little by way of apology or offer of discount.
Fantastic relaxing hotel, Immaculate service>
The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and very efficient. Lovely pool and grounds but no real view.
Friendly staff. Clean room and close proximity to the city centre. Our room was on the front of the main street and was a little noisy having spend several nights earlier in a quiet B & B.
Excellent helpfull efficient staff the pool was a major factor in choosing hotel - It was closed
Kindness of hotel staff Bed was not very good
The hotel is walking distance from old Bergerac
Clean rooms, helpful staff and the kids loved the well maintained pool area.
Location with walking distance to the old city of Bergerac.
swimming pool, cleanliness, service no tea or coffee facility in room.No choice for breakfast, would have been nice to have some cereals and cold meats instead of cheese/jam with the bread.
Very clean and comfortable. excellent breakfast andfriendly owners. really ood value for money.
This hotel had friendly staff, underground parking, great continental breakfast, and spotless rooms. We would book this one again. We had a little trouble finding this hotel, but it is still walking distance from downtown.
the management were very friendly; nice location, and just a couple of minutes walk to Bergerac centre and old town. Really nice interesting city. Room was large, nice, comfortable bed & pillows. Free parking on the road and in a car park next door. Hotel does have a secured car park but area is safe and we left our car on the road right infront of the hotel. Nice quiet area. Breakfast was a little expensive and rather crammed in the dining area. Needed to have a little background music playing over breakfast.
Helpful staff, clean, food was good.
good location, close to Bergerac town and airport The "third bed" was very inappropriate for use by an adult . Although secure bycle storage was requested at the time of booking it was not available .
Convient to town and roads to airport We requested non-smoking but had smoking and smell was not good which detracted fromotherwise good hotel
Everything was clean and in good order. The staff were helpful and willing to try to understand our hesitant French. The room was rather small.
Good Food and very quiet
The proximity to the airport and extensive parking. The staff were unhelpful and clearly didn't have an understanding of basic customer service. The hotel had been infested with "bugs" which to most of us looked like cockroaches and the uht milk in our room was off. We were not offered complimentary tea and coffee in the main reception area - there wasn't really anyway we wanted to sit in our room with over 20 bugs crawling over the bed and our belongings. We specifically ordered a double bed and single bed but were only given a double bed. Even though the website clearly states any child under 10 can stay in an extra bed free of charge.
Good value for money. Not within reasonable walking distance of the centre of Bergerac.
Good and friendly welcome and service in restaurant
Very clean, quiet, cosy and well equipped room. Only slight disadvatage is that rooms are in separate building from the reception and restuarant in a motel style. However, I found this a minor inconvenience only in adverse weather.
close to airport
Excellent staff, excellent food, beautiful gardens and rooms
the servis was excellent the room we stayed in would benefit from a bit more illumination inside
The atmosphere, the gardens, the relationship between the inside (room, lounge) and the outside (garden and courtyard).
The staff at Le Vieux Logis was incredible! They were SO customer service oriented and met our every need. The little town of Tremolat was very charming. There was nothing we did not like.
Although our room was small it had all the elements and opened on to the lovely garden. We liked the understated luxurious French country house atmosphere - the gourmet restaurant with good wine list and excellent service - the restaurant has only one Michelin star - a gross oversight in our opinion - a second is certainly deserved especially for the tasting menu with wine. The friendly and helpfull staff and general attention to detail in a professional but relaxed way. Although not a budget option no visit to the Dordogne would be complete without at least one night here! We are already planning our next visit! We wouldn't change a thing!
I loved everything. The service, friendliness, food, rooms, comfort, pool were all great
The food was wonderful. The staff were very helpful. The hotel and gardens were delightful.
The grounds and location of this property are very beautiful. It is a good location to explore the Perigord area. The resteraunt and bistro serve very good food.
The staff were super helpful and friendly, and the restaurant was wonderful. Nothing
We liked everything about the hotel: brilliant friendly staff; lovely food and wine [we had the menu gastronomique]; excellent room; most attractive setting, lovely grounds in an interesting village.
very clean, manager very friendly Guy with the bald head very surely. No manners whatsoever, needs to learn from the owner and the lady who were very nice and helpful
The largest hotel room ever and so quiet. Staff very friendly and breakfast very good.
Very friendly and helpful reception staff Good location Very clean Rooms are noisy neighbours can be heard in their rooms and in the corridor, quite a lot of street noise in the early morning
Great little hotel right near the old town. Lovely staff. It's a little dated but the room was big and very nicely decorated. Good linens, best pillows in France. Bathroom was clean and modern. Free street parking on Sundays. Would definitely stay here again.
The reception staff were very helpful. The pool area very pleasant. Nothing wrong with the hotel, but Bergerac was disappointing.
Nice rooms and quality service. Easy overnight parking.
The staff - very friendly and obliging. The location of the hotel on the edge of the old town of Bergerac, and the heart of the open air market on market days. It would have been nice if the hotel also did food in the evenings.
Only stayed overnight but hotel fully met expectations. Well situated for station, airport and riverside walks.
I would like to compliment the front desk personnel - Isabelle is very helpful and her service is excellent which made my stay pleasant.
Friendliness of the owners
Helpful and friendly staff, spoke good English. Evening meal was of good quality and good value. Would use again
We found the Hotel and staff very good. The food was also very good. The pool and outside areas were clean and tidy. We have told friends who travel to Bergerac about our good experience at the Kyriad. We will use this hotel again.
Nice Hotel. Close to Bergerac (driving distance). Room Fair size for the four of us. Staff helpful.
The resident friendly cat Room a little small
friendly staff, situation
A very efficient restaurant serving good local cuisine.
Good value - staff great - 1st room fine, 2nd better. Clean, comfortable and all I needed for my stays. All I needed. Food could be improved for the evening meal. My first was OK, the second time I stayed I had the plat du jour which was awful - I left much of it. The restaurant is friendly, welcoming and the staff very helpful.A restaurant on site is really good as after a long days travelling I just didn't want to find somewhere in Bergerac to eat -- driving again, parking etc. etc. Breakfast buffet is good, but the evening meals were limited and not that brilliant.
Ground floor room with door to oputside - convenient for dog!
friendly efficient and helpful staff
Very friendly and informal with deliciious food and drink
The totally relaxing atmosphere along with the attentitveness of the staff made the visit a wonderfull experience Lack of indoor bar area
A beautiful hotel. The owners and staff were incredibly helpful. Our hire car broke down on route and the owners cheerfully stayed until 2am to greet us. The staff were all very friendly to us and our two year old son. Very impressed will certainly return.
The staff were incredibly friendly and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed and I liked the style of the decor - clean, modern and luxurious but in an old, 'chateau' style setting - lovely. No.
Very nice welcome with champagne. Very quiet room and establishment. Breakfast was wonderful. Bedrooms do not have queen or king beds, but instead two regular beds next to each other, which is not very romantic or functional. The bathroom didn't have a separate door for the WC, and there was no window or ventilation there. Only one window in the bedroom - overall poor ventilation.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, our room was beautiful and the food was delicious. We stayed for two nights, but the restaurant menu changes just once a week. Although delicious it would have been better if there was a little more choice as we had to eat the same meal two nights in a row.
Simply stylish, excellent food, friendly service.
The welcome was friendly, the staff were attentive & happy in their work and the whole atmosphere was relaxed which made for a very enjoyable stay. Excellent food & good reasonably priced wine list.
Politness of the staff. A warm greeting. Attentive staff Noise of early morning service lorries: the mixture of old & new: ghastly overpriced modern art: plastic chairs in the restaurant & Bistro
Peaceful and quiet surroundings. Attentive staff
Stunning location, set in beautiful countryside with well kept grounds and quite literally a few minutes drive from Bergerac airport down a winding lane. However as the airport is so tiny there is no noise and finding it so quickly came as a surprise. The country house itself is just exquisite.
Absoulutely stunning hotel which was for us a perfect country retreat. Very relaxed and welcoming, personal touches throughout the stay. Amazing food and wine!
This is a quiet place to relaxe. The internet does not work in the room. The axcess to the bathroom in the room was difficult plus the double bed was small (1m40 large) which was below our expectation.
a luxurious home away from home, a place where one can enjoy silence, nice food, cosy salon
Lovely hotel with a quiet location, good facilities and restaurant.
Front of House service & restaurant staff. Good food & wine. Common areas & rooms were a little shabby
We stayed there and loveeeeed it. A perfect chill out spot. Staff were so nice. A really homely place. You didnt feel like a guest at all! Wish I was there now ! It would be great if the hotel did a snack menu- Sandwiches or similar.
Nothing really, we had asked for a room whith a bath which they don't even have and didn't inform us about but as we were very tired and had very busy days ended up staying for the two nights. We wanted to eat at their restaurant but they had a set menu, very French taste, not at all things we like like snails and so. As far as guests comments go you didn't show any, too bad because it seems that there were 3.... better 3 than none......
The relaxed atmosphere. The very freindly staff. Everything about the hotel and location was fantastic and being just outside town was perfect.
The setting was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was peaceful and quiet. It was a little too far out of the town. We did not hire a car which I would recommend to anyone visiting this hotel and there was no transport.
Friendly staff. Excellent food, not too varied though for those guests staying there frequently. Being located on the outskirts of Bergerac a car is recommendable.
The hotel room was very clean, the bathroom was especially lovely, the grounds outside and pool area were lovely and staff were friendly. The perfect place to stay if spending a couple of days around bergerac. The breakfast is very pricey for the small amount of food provided.
Beautiful dining room and very good food. The swimming pool was freezing.
It was situated very near the city centre, also there was a festival on the square outside during our stay. The rooms were very basic and they weren't 100% clean. Our shower leaked as ythe door didn't close properly and there was no mirror in the room at all.
Very convenient location. This is a good budget hotel. Our room had everything we needed and was kept very clean. We enjoyed breakfast from a self service buffet - very good selection of items - lovely pastries!
The location was perfect for seeing Bergerac. The room was clean with comfortable bed and very clean and well socked bathroom. The fact that your website said parking is available on site. This is not the case! You have to park on the street and pay and if you arrive on a Friday night as we did, you cannot park on the square outside the Hotel as the market is held there every saturday morning. There was no coffee, in the room, when we asked for it, they had none until the following morning;
English spoken by somebody please
Everything was easy and straighforward. Musty smell on first floor landing.
One chair was broken and the light was hanging of the wall in a dangerous way. Despite reporeting this nothing was done
proximity to Bergerac no coffee making facility in room
Good location, nice pool, good breakfast, staff helpful, quiet. The 2 level room was great for our family. Would use again. I would have liked a kettle in the room and being able to buy just a snack would have been helpful even a vending machine maybe.
We booked the duplex for a family of 4. two teenage daughters and it was fine. Quiet, clean and spacious.
Lady on reception was very helpful, efficient and friendly
Very close to the airport, the possibility to walk to it from the hotel. I had to hold the head of the shower myself!!!!
The Pool The restaurant was closed and the noisy neighbours
good front of house staff, helpful when we arrived and courteous throughout. Breakfast was meagre and very ordinary for the price. (ok for travelling and staying one or 2 nights)
Convenience to the airport and central for our needs. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
This hotel came up to our expectations. It was clean and I think had recently been refurbished. no pool
Côte Rivage is the most romantic hotel I have ever visited. It is situated on the Dordogne riverside in a charming small village. The hotel is elegantly decorated and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Our room had a balcony with a beautiful view of the river. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially the nice lady at the reception. She even gave us a little present when we were leaving. In the evening we had a nice meal at the restaurant, and breakfast was also good.
Where to start. Spotlessly clean, very well appointed, central to all the goodies that the region has to offer. The best cuisine for miles at affordable prices, pleasently served and in good ambiance. I would recommend to all and sundry, although the restaurant is not for a young family. Watch out for your hosts, they are a captivating couple, with simlpe English, but a joy to be with and the type you instantly warm to. Sitting right on the river, just outside of Lalinde the location is perfect for easy access to Sarlat, Perigord and Berjerac with all the medival hamlets, towns and villages, the most spectacular caves, landscapes and scenery, chateaus and castles, or just enjoy the finest cuisine you could hope for. Not a long enough stay.
Family run by an absolutely charming couple. They made our stay a delight. The food is excellent too. The village has few amenities. There is nowhere else on foot to eat or drink. Not a problem for a short stay as eating in is a must!
Very good room with balcony and view over River Dordogne and hotel in a very peaceful location. Only one menu which we thought was overpriced, so not ideal for our stay of 5 nights. Relatively isolated location meant that a journey was required for variety.
It was out in the country with a swimming pool which my sons enjoyed and there was easy access to the Dordogne
This is an excellent hotel and we really enjoyed it.the view from our room was stunning, the couple running the hotel went out of their way to please, the facilities were top class including the swimming pool and the food excellent. None.
The location. The friendliness of the hotel director. Parking on site. The delicious breakfast. The room heater didn't extend well to the bathroom, making for a chilly bath time the next morning.
the position was excellent with fantastic views The smell of dogs on entering the hotel reception and the very shabby carpet in the bedrooms.
The owners were very helpful, especially with regard to our 2 dogs and cat. The room had a small gated courtyard - most unusual and a very welcome facility for dogs. We would thoroughly recommend anyone with dogs or cats to stay in this hotel. The proprietors obviously were very pet friendly and this point should be advertised ,as such a good all round hotel which is also pet friendly is rare! No we loved this hotel and would recommend it.
The view It was a little bit run down
not a lot! Nice view? No heating at all - room was freezing overnight. Restaurant (one of the reasons we had booked there as it is miles from anywhere) was closed.1/2 board was offered but at a specific time and no choice of food & high cost. No showergel/shampoo provided(again not a problem if you know in advance - but no shops within miles!)Carpet filthy, bed uncomfortable. Only saw 1 woman in charge (charming though she was) and not anyone at all in the evening to ask for anything - eg heat! Probably a super place in the summer - but hungry & freezing I could not find any redeeming features. Probably the worst choice I have ever made for hotel rooms!
Value for money, friendly couple running it Limited breakfast, no stand up shower/only bathtub in quad
It is a good countryside hotel...The owners are nice people...
Nice views, pleasant meal would have preferred restaurant to be open later (9.30 finish)
Quiet rural location. Good breakfast. Close to major historic centre Bergerac.Swimming pool looked good but weather was not good enough on the day of my stay to use No entertainment if the weather is bad. Old rustic French style decoration of room, which is ok but could be better rearanged tastfuly
An out of town location made it our most peacefull and enjoyed stay all week. Breakfast served al fresco on the family table. Views into the vinyards...beautiful. At the top of a steep hill (hard work on bikes with panniers). Not much to offer beyond seclusion. No on-hand facilities for drinks etc. Your very much on your own!
Very friendly and just the kind of old world type place we were looking for
A beautiful old farm house with large comfortable, clean rooms. Madame made us feel very welcome. A very relaxed atmosphere. Not a smart hotel but a very friendly attractive old farm house steeped in history. No it exceeded my expectations
Friendly-good breakfast-rural location-close to good restaurant
The surrounding countyside. The carpet in the room was dirty.
room was clean and functional with just enough basic functions wi fi was important for me to continue my trip the towels could have been better
The staff were very helpful, allowing us to keep our bicycles in a store room overnight. Comfortable room, with just the right level of basic necessities.
It was cheap, clean and comfortable. Hotel staff was friendly and very helpful Hotel was not conveniently situated for the centre of Bergerac
