Pros: The breakfast was the very best we've ever had and we've stayed at a many B&B's. This breakfast exceeded our expectations in every way from the vast choices we were given to the generous portions and exceptional quality of ingredients. It was absolutely fabulous! We also really enjoyed our time on the big wrap around porch as well as the comfortable seating and decor in the common areas. This is a charming, historic home, full of character and lovingly restored. We highly recommend it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A hidden jewel! My hotel snob husband needed a nice place to stay during our rafting weekend and this bed and breakfast exceed our expectations. The rooms are cute, cozy and SUPER CLEAN! The inn keepers were great. Because we had to leave early to go rafting we missed breakfast but they packed us a lite breakfast (muffin, fruit and juice) but if the muffin was any indication as to breakfast, it had to be delicious because that muffin blew me away! Would stay again!
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was awesome!
Cons: The decor could use an update!!! It was like stepping back into a different era! Could use Joanna Gaines influence!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked that it had a bed and breakfast feel but still has all the modern comforts that you look for in a hotel. They are very accommodating of people planning to hike and make breakfast to go bags for you if you are planning an early morning. Convenient location to Baxter State Park and Mt. Katahdin, as well as some restaurants ans grocery stores. Would definitely stay here again.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: My boyfriend and I stayed at the Young House B&B when we hiked Katahdin. The Innkeepers Tom and Darci were very kind and accommodating. They made gluten free cookies special for us and packed a gluten free breakfast for us to take early in the morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Innkeepers were very friendly and accommodating! Charming vintage home. Everything was spotless.
Cons: Standard bed was a little cramped for us. Upgrading to queen-sized beds would be great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brian and Stephanie were outstanding! They made this one of the best BnB experiences I have ever had. They were personable, knowledgeable about the area, and very accommodating. I cannot say enough great things about them!
Cons: Wifi was spotty. Had to leave room to pick up the wifi.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very comfy.
Cons: Too busy on walls.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The eggs Benedict were superb! Stephanie was an excellent, friendly Innkeeper.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Bed was comfortable. Host was super friendly. Lovely rooms. Good location
Cons: Breakfast time was only a one hour window. We got a breakfast to go as we were on tours. But it was only muffin Apple and drink.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Great hosts, VERY. good and filling breakfast from a large menu, comfortable rooms with so much to enjoy on the walls, nice common areas which we didn't have time to enjoy, close to Baxter State Park.
Cons: It was all fabulous. You'll have to climb some stairs, but it's a 1900 house, very well restored.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had. Had everything we needed. Bathroom was a good size. Breakfast was more than I expected- cereal, oatmeal, yogurt and fresh fruit and more.
Cons: You had to let someone know if you wanted to use the pool so that they could remove the cover.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Updates have been made to windows, paint, and tub inserts.Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Price was high for age and style of property. Location was great for visiting Baxter State Park. Not many chains available in area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool. The bed was comfortable. The art work in the bedroom was great.
Cons: Water pressure in the shower could have been better, not strong enough to get the soap out of your hair.
7.1 Good
Pros: Good location for Baxter SP (half an hour drive) but still "in town" so you can get for example coffee and so Simple old fashioned motel, exactly what we like
Cons: A bit too expensive for what it is. OK motel for fancy price. Breakfast and lobby only open relatively late in the morning, considering many persons get up early (we went hiking in Baxter SP so obviously already gone by the time the breakfast opened) no 24h reception so always gives some stress when you are on the road
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly & helpful staff, comfortable room, quiet, Compete breakfast. Pool.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very quiet. In fact, on Sunday night, I believe we were the only occupants. Check-in was unusually easy. The clerk asked my name, then gave us to key cards. No sign-in, no request for credit card or any identification. Lovely.
Cons: Only one person working, he was absent from the front desk often. Continental breakfast was okay, but I had to ask for butter. While the room seemed very clean, the hallways seemed a little shabby.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property is in a great location near Baxter state park. The suites are in a house built in 1902, and the house reflects the character of the town. The owners are very accommodating and very nice.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast not included. This is a good thing, since the place to go in Millinocket is Appalachian Trail Café.
Cons: We have nothing to complain about. Excellent place with two bedrooms, living room and kitchen.
7.1 Good
Pros: cozy room
Cons: Very loud for ground floor customers.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect!
5.0 Okay
Cons: Waited 35 minutes to be able to get into room . The doorknob did not work door would only shut using the deadbolt , no outlet in the bathroom for haircare . Outlets are very low to the floor in bedroom - no one on the premises when we arrived ... and throughout our stay .
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Being backpackers, we needed a place to spread out and organize gear. The apartment had two bedrooms plus a living area and large kitchen for an excellent price.
Cons: The stairs up to the apartment are steep and narrow, not suitable for someone not physically fit.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: On site staff were friendly and conversational, made recommendations on dinner locations along with offered a history of the town and its population. The room included a kitchen and living area with all the comforts of home. I will return with hiking friends next time.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff who were very accommodating. We stayed in Suite 1 which was basically a huge 1st floor apartment with two bedrooms. Kitchen was great.
Cons: The deadbolt on the door was pretty sketchy and the gap around the door was drafty. The place definitely looks its age.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Parks Edge Inn is a large New Englander that was previously divided into apartments. Now run as a rambling Inn by a friendly wife/husband team, it is old, creaky, clean, spacious and comfortable - it will remind you of your first apartment after you got that first job after school. And it comes with a discount on the pizza place owned by the same couple.
Cons: Just know that some of the rooms/suites are upstairs - so you will be hauling some stuff up if you have one of those rooms. They could clean up the cig butts around the outdoor picnic area.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Close to Baxter Park, and restaurant next door. Breakfast was fantastic!
Cons: The key was tricky and no outlets close enough to the bed so had to get up to use the phone
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Meals were available in the adjoining restaurant so that was helpful. (This information is quoted from my husband who ended up making the trip alone for some nature time. I couldn't hike as much as him so I sat this trip out at home.)
Cons: The mattress was a little hard and not his usual medium choice. After traipsing around Baxter State Park, it didn't take him very long to get over that and fall asleep. Possible quilted mattress pad on the bed could be available for future visits?
7.1 Good
Pros: They are old style. They use turn keys. The double beds one with soft and one was hard. They were really good about their cleanliness. Is very cozy bring me back until simpler times where everything's not electronic and I liked it to have the restaurant right next door so you can order whatever you wanted.
Cons: The Wi-Fi sucked. Was looking for a house and I had no cell reception and the Wi-Fi would not work for us. The coffee in the rooms may need a change and a complimentary breakfast would be appreciated.
5.0 Okay
Pros: It was clean and staff was very nice.
Cons: We had room 118. The beds were like sleeping on the ground, very uncomfortable. The AC was at least 30 years old and was heating the room instead of cooling. (yes we had it on the coldest setting.) The place is very outdated, but clean and the staff was very nice. Would not stay here again.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The king size bed was very comfortable. The location is great for visiting Baxter State Park. Staff is friendly and helpful.
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff was very accommodating as we arrived not long before closing and they did not rush us so we could get something to eat at the attached restaurant :-)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Real close to White Water Rafting
5.8 Okay
Pros: The decor was very nice in the room and the staff was very polite and accommodating!
Cons: The bathroom lights stopped working at night, so we had to use our phone lights. Also the AC didn't work and the room was at least 90 degrees, so we were unable to sleep.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was not included in the reservation. The attached restaurant was great!
Cons: The room smelled a bit musty and the light over the bathroom sink didn't work.

7.0 Good
Pros: 15 minutes from Baxter State Park
Cons: Poor internet service, Dated rooms, but comfortable enough for a short stay.
7.5 Good
Pros: It’s clean and affordable, very nice and helpful staff.
Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable and I was not able to stay in the king room that I paid more for. The chain lock was broken and I didn’t feel comfortable. The staff was very helpful in finding me another room that was more secure, however, it was two double beds. I assumed the price would be adjusted accordingly but upon checkout was told the price could not be changed because I booked via third party. :(
7.1 Good
Cons: Air quality due to the swimming pool not being better ventilated
6.7 Good
Pros: I did not have high expectations for a property in the area. The hotel staff was very nice. Property is very dated and could really use a refresh, could be a nice spot

Pros: Very convenient location to Baxter park and the area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room. Exceeded our expectations after reading reviews.
Cons: Everything needs renovation. Starting with the TV (I don't remember the last time I saw a working CRT TV!!), ac, rugs and shower which is very low for an average man. But apart from it all is OK.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A cozy cabin that was clean and neat. Exactly as advertised. Shower is tank-less so an endless supply of Hot water after hiking Baxter all day was the best! Baxter Park Entrance is 20 Minutes away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great stay near the Baxter state park if you don't want to camp and still want the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. The owners were very friendly and even had fresh baked cookies in our at night. I would def stay here again!!
Cons: Everything was great!
8.2 Excellent
Pros: A fine little cabin to serve as a base camp for Baxter State Park outings. All the necessities, everything worked, and everything was clean. A good value.
Cons: The window screens in our cabin were configured in such a way that when the window was opened, moths found their way into a gap between the upper and lower window sections. And when the window was subsequently closed, that gap opened to the inside of the cabin. I had to swat 5 or 6 moths. Not a big deal, though.
