The room was very clean with excellent bathroom facilities, and the beds very comfortable with quality bed linen. very limited for food on the evening we stayed. But breakfast did make up for that, although a little bit too expensive.
Spacious room and bed. Crisp and clean linen. Helpful and professional staff. Excellent value. Quiet location.
Better facilities than many in the immediate vicinity, good, value for money, restaurant, friendly helpful staff Poor English language TV!
Room was a good size and very clean. Bathroom was excellent. Food and service in the restaurant were a real let down.
Nice, spacious room. Very noisy party going on downstairs.
nice room for the size, well designed and fitted. good breakfast, nice dining room. we called ahead to say we would arrive late, and were given the code to get in...on arrival the code did not work despite confirming that it was in fact correct. staff had to be woken (understandably irritated) but cold response and reluctance to let us in tainted our experience.
Clean and nice rooms. Very good price/quality We used this hotel or a citytrip to Versailles and we found it a bit far from Versailles to the hotel.
Everything was fine. None
very helpful staff nice small resturant in buc even though no parking was easy to park close by. had to walk up spiral stairs to rooms so ask for ground floor if you need one.
good location near to paris and versailles, quiet area. car parking is fine.
rooms were clean, tidy, nicely located in Buc, friendly greeting. Room was small
Very chic atmosphere. friendly No night life at all! Bus schedules confusing.
Good spots close by to go running/walking. Basic room but reasonable for price. Great water pressure in shower! Petty charge for tea/coffee, expensive breakfast option. Room smelt very strongly of paint.
Awful!!! Dirty, too expansive!
receptionist left key an gave us entry code as we were stuck on the Pheriferique and were late for check-in Small rooms, superiour room is a laugh. Bed is very hard, next to the road, no parking, absolutely no value-for-money in my opinion and I do sleep in hotels 2-3 nights a week
Clean, comfortable, price of breakfast, good location for Versailles, modern interior style and fittings, good room price Although in a nice residential location across from the park it is difficult to find and more signs are needed from the centre of Buc which is itself hard to locate.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good dinner. Hard to find the hotel, quite hidden.
The hotel manager was a nice person but he seemed to be alone working at the hotel (besides a waitress) I booked the hotel because it was close to the business area however no taxi wanted to give me a lift because the run was too short. The room smelt quite bad (like bathroom sink). The hotel didn't have wireless available although it was advertised in the booking website. The hotel sign was actually not Balladins hotel but something else I don't remember so it took a long time to get there because the taxi driver from the airport dind't know where it was.
Friendly personel; Hotel difficult to find (behind Hertz sign); very sober entree; paint falling of the outside; room smelling like smoke; hairs in my bed (not mine); spots in the blanket (not mine); ripped sheets; used ear pin in bath room; sober braekfast, ...
Staff very friendly. Rooms had nice space. Difficult to find. Few amenities within walking distance.
Breakfast was adequate. Towels changed every day and toiletries available. Room was clean and comfortable and free wifi in the room. Free parking. No english tv available without paying and no restaurants close by, nearest bars were about 20mins walk. Staff not too helpful and garden was very tiny, advert for hotel a bit misleading regarding the garden. No teamaking facilities in room. Late trains from Paris do not go directly to St. Cyr L'ecole so had to get a taxi back late at night from Versailles and no-one explained this to us.
I liked the friendly staff and not having to fill in a form the moment you arrive, or even later. Proper toilet rolls needed please!!! The tiny little pink tissues were totally inadaquate.
Connected rooms beside the main building are good choice for family with more than four member.
Overall it was a very pleasant stay There were no bad points to speak of
Very cosy out of the way hotel. Convenient for Versailles and the Chateau as I had a car.
The room was neat and tidy enough for the price. Beware, The hotel door closes at 11:00pm
the location, near to Versailles, but everything else is a big cheating... The pictures what we saw on the internet in the reality was completelly different. In the garden of the hotel there is two little house, where originally they kept the garden tools ...and after they transfered as a hotel room...no isolation, all walls were humid and mouldy , was a strong mildew smell, since i have an asthma, i could not really sleep well all night long. The wall's painting was coming down, the blanket was dirty We asked to change the room, so we got the next door "garden tools room " since it had a common wall with the previous one it was the same condition. and all this things for 78 euro, i would never recommend to sleep there. Internet which was published also on the website of course in a garden tool suite,,,didn't work
Nice quiet hotel and location. Close proximity to Versailles and train station. The shower hose holder was broken and we had to improvise by attaching the shower hose to the holder with a sock.
Well located to visit Versailles if you have a car. Free parking.
The hotel is centeraly located near the train station (1 min.).
The restaurant and bar were closed on Sunday. Breakfast was incomplete most of the times.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They went to great lengths to ensure all our enquiries were dealt with properly. Nothing open at the weekend. No bar or restaurant. Very dissapointing.
Reasonably priced and equipped. Close to restaurants and a walking distance to the business center in Guyancourt. I plan to stay there again.
Nice clean room. Staff polite but very busy/understaffed so was difficult to get served in the bar
Reasonably close to Versailles (15-20 mins drive), very good value for money for a Novotel. Although it's close to a busy road it was surprisingly quiet. Not many dining alternatives if you're not prepared to drive; no luggage storage facilities (we wanted to leave our bikes somewhere secure and ended up bringing them into our room overnight!)
The food was pretty good and plenty to do with the kids.
Garden and swimming pool were excellent for the kids. Very child-friendly atmosphere: playing corner, special kid-menus, etc. Room was extremely warm (no airconditioning).
rooms are big, quiet area it was a little cold in the room, but nothing could be done with the heating system
that the hotel cleaning staff were always smiling and helpful and that even with a full day of conferences they and the front desk and the kitchens did not forget us simple visitors
We stayed here because the Novotel at Versailles was full. If you have a car and a satnav this is a great spot to be based to see Versailles and Paris. The hotel is in a village surrounded by fields. Versailles is 15 / 20 mins drive - park in front of the palace in the huge car park.Paris (Trocadero / Eiffel Tower car parks) is 25 / 30 mins drive. Without a car, this hotel is probably too far out. Room big and comfortable. Helpful staff. Good breakfast.
Large free parking lot available, clean room Not really friendly staff, bad smell in the corridors, french style bathrooms, few TV chains
Lots to do for children Room price was good, Restaurant and Bar were over-priced
Excellent and friendly help from the reception staff when my son lost his boarding pass for the return flight. They printed out a new one for him. Cleaners removed towels from the bathroom without replacing them straight away. I had to ask for one as I wanted a shower.
la comodità del postorispetto alle nostre esigenze, ambiente ordinato, pulito, funzionale.
Room was quiet. Despite the fact that it was a non-smoking room there was a persistant smell of stale smoke.
The location of the hotel was ideal for my purposes. Nestled in the beautiful Vallée Chevreuse with immediate access to hiking trails through national forests, passing historic sites and chateaux and many sites of natural beauty. The hotel was comfortable, clean, well designed and with a real "home" feel to it. Highly recommended.
Very quiet location and good for the business traveller. Close to many restaurants. Albeit old facilities, very well kept.
No restaurant and very few commodities
Excellent hotel. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and good breakfast.
Arriving late, there was no personell in the reception. In the automat outside, the booking reference number did not work. Had to order a new room with my credit card. Key did not work at the room door. Had to order an additional room on my credit card. Difficult to get the re- found of the first room (key not worked) since hotel personal did not understand english.
I chose this hotel because it was very close to the Renault Technocentre. The room was clean. I would recommend this hotel only as a place to sleep. Heating is only available via air conditioning. Breakfast costs extra.
Breakfast facilities were good. The ceiling of the bathroom of our room (room 16) needs to be fixed
We had just stayed at another Ibis Budget that we liked very well. This had almost identical décor (though no seats on the toilets - seems to be common in France). The rooms are snug but reasonably attractive. The toilet did not function properly. I used it when we arrived and although it dumped a lot of water in the bowl, the contents went no where. I explained this to the manager. He told me a refund was impossible and no other rooms available.
High quality of the appartment (furiture, equipment etc) and spacious enough to live in, which made it feel more like a home than a hotel. Chevreuse is a nice village, clean country air. Internet in the rooms. Good bedding, we had a great sleep! No real garden or play area for kids (although public park nearby).
excellent service: we made redervation really late in the day and would arrive at 0.00 at lnight and this was no problem at all: very flexible.
A warm welcome, and a comfortable, if small, apartment, with a beautiful outlook over lawn and woodland. No
The manager was very helpful and provided lots of information regarding the area. He changed our room when we complained of the smell of smoke in the room without any problems. No
Silent location close to highway in a quiet and calm green village, ideal to visit Paris. Reception was closed 10 minutes in advance, we had been there 8.50 PM and it's scandalous and unprofessional ! Moreover, just room breakfast under reservation is avaiable and this is NOT clearly defined in booking conditions.
Fantastic location on the edge of a good-sized town with good access to Paris. Loved that we could walk down into town to find a restaurant. Great apartment; well stocked and perfect to be all together, rather than having to book multipal rooms. Really suited us for breakfast to be delivered to the room at no extra cost. Would definately use again.
Very nice hotel sitted in a very green, calm and nice area, ideal for families with kids. Located near Paris, have a lot to visit around. The only possibility to go to this hotel is to drive a car.
Staff Helpful Moved to another room Cold Water Electrical Fault
Toured area and visited family.
Staff were fantastic and went out of their way to make us welcome. Lovely apartments, walking distance to the village and a great restaurant - le Caprosia in Chevreuse
Campanile at its utilitarian best. Smooth checkin, room clean and ready, good dinner and breakfast, wifi worked perfectly.
Have stayed at this particular Campanile many times. Welcome just as warm as previous. Have found the prices steadily increasing qwuite a bit over the last few years and we may reconsider our choice on our next trip on the same route (which we do regularly)
Internet Access was excellent. Room was comfortable and easy to access.
WiFi acces free of charge breakfast not choice enough
WIFI Internet availability in our room was very poor. A room change after 2 days closer to reception gave better results
the good service and the quick service. No waiting times.
The staff were very attentive and helpfull and overall value for money at short notice There was no food available after 11pm and drinks had to be taken to the room. The rooms, in particular the ground floor are a little noisey due to the rail line and road.
The bed was excellent and I like the free coffee, tea and biscuits. WiFi internet slow and unreliable, which is inconvenient when staying for business purposes.
Good for business use
Reasonable proximity to Versailles Small room for 3 people
Clean and good after hours service. The toilet extraction fan does not seem to work very well.
Good Value for money, close to supermarket
Close to Versaille and Paris
With the smoking ban now extended to France the opening onto the hotel grounds was a boon. In the bathroom the shower head was fitted about 2 metres off the bath floor. Ok for people of restricted growth but not very appropriate for average height people.
very quiet hotel in the country near von Versailles or Paris with the high way
Convenient for visiting Paris and Versailles Although it was relatively out of the way, it was not quiet during the night as it's in the middle of an industrial estate. Also a coach party arrived around 11:30pm and the coach sat with its engine running for about 20minutes. The shower didn't work as the pipe was full of holes.
The room and bath were clean and in nice condition. The hotel has free wireless internet, which we find very useful. We arrived at the hotel about 17:00, on July 13th. The door was locked, and there was no one at the reception desk. A page on the door showed our name, as a new arrival, and indicated the room number where we would be staying, but we could not enter through the locked door. A message said to call the hotel phone number, but we had no phone to call from. Another hotel guest eventually let us in, and told us the combination to the electronic lock on the hotel door. Our key was in the door to our room. The next morning, a receptionist was at the hotel desk.
Hotel very clean and quiet. Hotel staff nice
very quiet and a good bed the breakfast. The bread was not good (self baked???)
We just used the hotel as a stop over to the South of France Burn mark on the carpets, looked like somrthing hot has been put on the floor
I couldn't make an internet connection, keeps wanting the code number which couldn't go through
There was nothing I liked about this hotel, it was shabby, in a poor location & I wouldn't have been surprised to wake up & find my car broken into..the one saving grace was the restaurant nearby which was very good!
pleasant atrium, convenient breakfast, kind staff Small room, shower soaked everything in the bathroom, drain from shower did not work (when we complainned, told that the drain pipe was too small in all the rooms) bathroom filed with water which then ran into teh bedroom. No kettle in room. Directions to hotel hard to follow.
Hotel staff is kind. Bath Room is too small.
Cheap hotel paid only 50 Euros for 4 people. Close to a shopping centre and restaurants, 30 minutes to Paris in car. Need a car to move around, very small room and ultra small toilet/shower we called it an "airplane toilet". breakfast not recomended. Can be very noisy from car park
Very small bedroom with a tiny bathroom with only a shower. No shelves or cabinets to store away clothing. No kitchen facilities and limited use of hotel microwave. Extra fee for internet access. Internet is not included.
This hotel offers excellent value for money: quiet surroundings, the possiblity of family rooms, self-service breakfast facilities: ideal place when you want to visit Paris or Chartres (with your family) on a tight budget. (As far as we saw) no public transport facilities to Paris (own car needed); the rooms are not well suited to place baby beds (but we managed..)
The hotel is far away from the station and there are no proper sign boards depicting the way to hotel...
Small room and affordable. Good location in the city. Quiet. We went with a bunk bed setup, and one of the days they did not make the bed for the bunk bed (top bed). The front desk did not speak a lot of English, but we managed to get the information we needed.
Functional room, good dinner and breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Free internet that actually worked!
The rooms were small (but clean and stylish) and had no air conditioning except a window.
Restaurant and staff organization ( very kind ) - I chosen this hotel for its position and its fair.
The hotel is located near a beautiful park and a lake, the way to the center of Guyancourt through this park is very pleasant, though rather long. The hotel staff is very polite and well-disposed. Internet service is comfortable. The air conditioner was not effective enough during such a hot weather that was at the end of June, 2010. The table and chair in the room are good for the, but are not suitable for a work with paper and documents. A translucent curtain made of white tulle should be hung on the window, as the window looking at a car park, where inside the room is clearly visible.
