Do not rent here an absolute rip off. The main points are: 1. They attempted to charge 600€ instead of 55€ for a two-day rental at the desk, and then acted like it was a mistake. They then billed my credit card for $350, without explanation. 2. They brought me a car that hadn’t been cleaned (it was filthy – see pictures). 3. The car had an almost empty fuel tank(image - It cost 120€ to fill directly after pickup). 4. They didn’t have the car I booked (smallest class), and instead said I could take a Mercedes 7-Seater, as that was the only option available. I agreed to the Mercedes, they then brought me a Hyundai Diesel. 5. After patiently waiting in line at the desk, I was told about the change from a small Opel to a 7 Seat Mercedes. I then waited 40 Minutes to get the Mercedes. After 40 Minutes the dirty Hyundai with an empty fuel tank was brought to me, and I was rudely told to take it or leave it. After waiting in total for an hour, and already late I had no choice but to take this car. 6. The car had three of four tires underinflated and they needed to be inflated. 7. The car had a low level of Adblue, so it beeped the entire two days. 8. Since the car was huge and with zero fuel economy, I spent over 200€ on fuel in less than two days. 9. This location closes at 6pm, everything else is “after hours.” You then have to park on the street and pay for parking there (2€ per hour) since they don’t allow you to bring the car into their garage afterhours.

The car that they gave us was a complete piece of s*** and we had to drive a couple hours around Berlin it was very uncomfortable it was not what was promised to me and when I booked directly I never have this problem so I don't know if they're taking advantage of you

Although the name of the representative slips my mind, I could not have asked for a better experience from the employee at Enterprise. He took the time to connect with me about my trip and ask about me all while completing the transaction in a timely manner.

Pros:

Overall the experience with sixt was nice - the car was totally new and comfortable. Although I received a premium-class car, I reserved SUV, but not sedan that I have received. That was unfortunate and rather unexpected, given the size of luggage and the quality of countryside road I was going to.

Cons:

I would prefer a faster reaction - if sixt can't guarantee even the car class, then I would prefer an immediate cancellation. When I hear that my car is not available at the counter - that's already late for last minute changes.

Cons:

Phone service is terrible. It is impossible to reach n human on the phone. Also they did not explain that you need a vignette to drive in the Czech Republic or Austria.

I returned a car at 10am before 11. they wrote in the system that it was 7pm. Charged me for late return. Which is not true. PLUS, they told me that I did not return 2 floor mats. OMG, what a company, never again! I have proofs of video recording on the day of pickup that mops were not installed. Really never again, and don't recommend to rent with them!

Cons:

We ordered the car online, preparing to pay 60 Euros, but when we arrived it turned out that we were sole a deal with not insurance. So KAYAK is the problem here. We ended up adding more than double this amount. This is poor programing of your algorithm. I WILL NOT USE KAYAK AGAIN. I received a confirmation to my reservation with a price that had no relations to reality.

We came to Europcar, provide booking, all necessary documents as driving license, passport, address of living, etc. But after some security check, it was refused to provide a car for us, without any explanation, the only that Europcar colleague said that you pay on rentalcars, so contact with them. Thats all. So for current moment we didn't receive a car and didn't receive money back. So I'd not prefer to answer on question "How you satisfied ?" . . .

The staff was probably racist. I observed her behavior to other German-speaking customers. The staff tried to provide a SW car which I rented sedan. ZERO customer service and handling. For the upgraded final car, they told me that the car was white, but the car came black, and in the key sticker it was still written white for the black car. I requested the staff to talk with their supervisor but staff said I cannot speak with a supervisor. Finally, the staff told me that the car was at -3 level of the parking, which they were supposed to give me the car in front of the office. I went to -3 to have the car but the car wasn't there. Then I went to -2 again, the car wasn't there. Then I went to the office again to ask the staff where was the car. The answer was: I DON'T KNOW! Who would know the place of the car if the staff wouldn't know? It was a nightmare!!!

Beware of renting with Budget/Avis outside of the US. I rented a car for the day in Berlin and was charged over $1500 USD in fake damages. The car was checked in in PERFECT condition and they billed my credit card $1523 USD later that day. Sadly, the user reviews about the office in Mitte all indicated the same experience. Wish I had followed the advice to avoid this company, but as a loyal customer, I thought I would be safe. Not this case. I will never use this comany again. To small court claims court we go....

Bad, we asked for a petrol car and got pushed an electric car. We struggled the whole weekend to find places to charge it in the countryside. We also were told we didn't buy insurance from Kayak and so had to pay a ridiculous amount of money (more than the rental cost) to get insurance on the spot. Dissatisfied
