I like everything with this bed and breakfast. The owner is great. Very friendly - learns all the guests by name. The staff is friendly, hard working. The breakfast is excellent - they worry if you miss breakfast :) Clean rooms. Good heating and showers. Very cute village. I was there on Business but I would go there for vacation. The one thing I didn't like they fixed without me asking. When I first arrived the shower curtain hangers were cheap and if you weren't gentle with the curtain it would fall down. I was going to mention it but the next day the had replaced the hangers with better ones. I can only assume the housekeeping noticed it and changed it immediately! - Perfect
The owners were very welcoming on arrival and during our stay. All the staff were very pleasant. The food was of an excellent quality. There were no bad points
Found the service was very good, the rooms clean and comfortable. Enjoyed that it was a 'green' hotel and conscious of resources. I was on a business trip and was greatful for the steam, pool and jacuzzi at the end of a long day. Shame that the sauna was out of use. Would prefer a cheaper single person suppliment.
The Innaction health spa was great and the staff at the spar were very helpful there were lots of little things that did not come up to standard.
easy come easy go swimming and sauna conveniant for town and shops Reception not being able to sort out minor problems i.e. television sub titles for the deaf.
Buffet breakfast / staff courtesy No
uncomfortable beds, dirty window coverings, early morning fire alarm,
good location and parking slightlt ageing. could do with freshening up
It Was In The Town Centre
The room was extremely spacious, clean and airy. We could have done with another set of towels as needed to shower on night of arrival and then again next morning. I do understand that the provision of one set of towels per person tends to be the standard policy of most hotel chain.
Helpfullness of staff, smart facilities Price of drinks at the bar
Very handy location and excellent value for money Nothing at all wrong with the hotel, perfect
Good location off the motorway. Excellent value for money. Good size rooms and very clean. breakfast was served 8am-10am, and we had to leave at 7.30am so missed out.
This is the second stay at this hotel. We were wanting to stay close to Silverstone and this was very convenient. Everywhere was exceptionally clean and beds were very comfortable. We had an evening meal and breakfast, not what I would call gourmet however it was very nice.
Clean and tidy room Poorly serviced, lack of towels, meagre tea and coffee allowance, nothing to say the hotel really cares about it's customers, just bland and nothing special.
Everything excellent No Bad points
Comfort and cleanliness of the room unable to get a late drink at the bar
Very pleasant and helpful happy staff. Everywhere spotlessly clean and fresh. Excellent food, good beer! Excellent value for the price. Can`t fault it.This hotel is on j15 m1 (uk) None
Not too much, basic cheap, bit very comfortable Rooms looked better on the Internet, very basic and cheap fit out. Functional but better out there for the money
Helpful & friendly staff, good location, clean room and surrounding areas, easy to find No bad points just little extras which would help ie: Fridge (we had to take sandwiches to a bowls competition at a local school). Tea making facilities for all occupants (only enough for 2 when there were 3 in the room).
Very clean, excellent facilities, very comfortable. Delicious breakfast, Air conditioned rooms, friendly staff.
very reasonably priced and a nice breakfast. It was very basic and the restaurant wasn't open on either night of our stay.
it was peace and quiet
cleanliness, comfort and price i would recommend this hotel if the staff were more friendly
Nearness to the motorway
Not checking out till 1200 was a bonus.Having a selection of snacks and confectionary available at reception 24/7 was a great idea. No meats available - cold would be fine - with the breakfast buffet.
Very relaxing. High quality furnishings, and service. Very friendly staff, even willing to make breakfast out of time. Breakfast very basic though, the UK version of continental. The decor was very modern, though very clean: I found this the least relaxing of the stay, with brash lighting
Convenient location Scrambled egg at breakfast like rubber
They seem to have thought of everything Climate control in room blew directly onto bed
Extremely clean The prices of the drinks at bar, well wine actually. I have worked in the uk and abroad for the last 8 years in lodges,Holiday parks and 3 and 4 star hotel abroad and a glass of wine has never cost me £6.00 nor £15.99 a bottle. So was a bit disappointed and ended up having a cider!
Good reception staff. Comfy lounge Bed and pillows not particularly comfy. Even though room had various pillows
Shower head in bathroom, very poor.
None The curtains were broken they needed hanging properly, the desk in the room had a broken leg,the beds were hard and uncomfortable, around the windows were black mould and damp and the net curtains were filthy. The room smelt as though someone had been smoking in the room and there were large cob webs hanging from the ceiling. The bedside lamp was broken so was the shower curtain, the complimentary soap etc was only enough for 1 person and there was 3 of us.
Very clean rooms, nice bathroom and quite a central location. I wouldn't usually expect to pay to stay in the car park but £5 wasn't too bad.
Mature staff - exceptionally good None - quite pricey and not impressed in paying for the carpark
The bed was comfortable. The lighting in the room was complicated and inadequate.
Room was clean and the overall facilities at the hotel were very good and child friendly
very clean and spacious; Staff were very professional and acomodating.
Gary on reception was very helpfull with booking flowers which I enquired about for my arrival as it was my anniversary I had to have my room key electronically reset atleast 5 times
Very nice. Loved the gym
The food in the resturante was very good. I had trouble on several attempts to contact the reception
The pool & sauna facelities Would be great if spa facilities were open late
Staff were very helpful. This was my first time in Northampton and I didn't know my way around, staff provided map and advice of where shops etc were located. There were no 'mini' complimentary tolietries in my room and the soap dispenser in the shower was empty during the whole of my one week's stay
Very friendly and attentive staff. computer keyboard was replaced immediately. served within a reasonable time at the restaurant. Although the room was adequate for our needs, it smelt of cigarette smoke the moment we walked into the room. that same night, I did not sleep very well as the bedclothes smelt of cigarette smoke and being a non-smoker, it affected me. On arrival, we were asked to complete a form and I read that smoking was prohibited and if caught smoking, a penalty would be incurred. Outside our window we saw cigarette ends and a lighter. During the course of the night at approx 1.45 am, a smoke alarm sounded, causing a bit of panic and not knowing if we had to follow the evacuation procedure.
Location The room was bleak, there were people running up and down the corridor at 4am, singing and shouting
Large, clean room, friendly staff, good shower and kettle useful. Also a good breakfast and prompt help when my card got demagnetised. Bit basic with some facilities, especially lack of bathmat and freeview tv channels. Could also do with better coffee somehow!
Too few towels, pillows and tv channels. Lift out of order. Rude man on reception. Have to pay for parking on top of room cost. Not good. The bathroom though clean, was not in great shape. lots of discolouration. The bed was Very creaky and moved.
clean; polite staff occasional loud pipework/plumbing noise; poor architecture: the view of the roof was needlessly depressing
Rooms were large, good showers! Unfriendly, unhelpful staff who are not interested in the customer and don't know how to work their own systems.
Staff were fairly friendly, tea and coffee was there Room was dirty, not value for money overall
Very clean and fresh look to the hotel, attentive staff and very nice lounge/dining area None - everything was good
Staff were friendly and polite `There was alot of noise well into the early hours doors banging people shouting to each other until about 03.40
Good location for travel up m1. Effective/swift resolution by management of complaints. Mariotts have modern rooms and Canadian-style facilities. Confusion by check in staff on difference between full account prepayment and recording of credit card details for room charges. After a long corridor walk, we found our room was already occupied - raising security issues, not to mention a major inconvenience. We were not alerted that a four digit code is required to exit the parking lot, requiring a return to the desk.
Comfortable room with proper bathroom (ie a bath!), windows that actually open, easy access to hotel from ring road, surprisingly good restaurant. Cost of room and meal high for location, time of year and day of the week (Saturday).
The room was lovely- v.clean and comfortable! The Angel Spa Treatment Lady was fantastic. The staff were great too. The food was very expensive- didn't personally think it was worth the price. The windows are very thin- not ideal for a hotel located near a busy motorway, it also left the room really cold during the night. The aircon in the room was broken and we could not turn it off at all- disturbed our nights sleep!
Quick check in and good breakfasts Arrived at 5.00pm and the corridor to my room was littered with room service trays that had not yet been collected. Created a bad impression.,
Clean and tidy friendly staff Room a bit small, no lift.
Food was excellent Drinks seemed pricey but that may be Marriot general policy.
Breakfast was decent enough, room was clean, bed was comfy, handy for the golf course if you like golf Decor a bit dated, shower could have been better
Very good value for money
I was extreamly impressed with this hotel, so much so that I have written a letter to the hotel to thank them None
Nice interior of the common facilities Room really hot windows don't open very far, they supplied a small fan which basically circulated warm air around the room. They supplied cushions instead of pillows for the bed which made awkward sleeping on top of the heat and the noise of the fan having to be on all night. Food and drink prices very steep in terms of quality.
Very nice atmosphere and very comfortable - good food and very handy location - about 15 minutes max from M25 Not exactly boutique as advertised - but very comfortable
Excellent food and great atmosphere Ask for a room on the car park side otherwise your room will be next to the road
The hotel room was clean and comfortable with good tea and coffee making facilities. The food was good and reasonable priced and vey well presented.
Welcome, Restaurant, Meal, Drink. 1 x sour milk. Dirt under bed and on skirting board behind bed. 1 small kit kat to share between us both.
The staff were very helpful from the first point of contact. They aloowed us to check out an hour later on departure which was very much appreciated. The room was very clean and comforatble. We were a little dissappointed with the food. We have read good reports on the website, however, our first choice was not available from the menu and my wife's alternative selection was moderate. Also, the bar area for eating was quite smokey. However, never judge a restaurant on one meal and it would not stop us re-visiting.
Friendly and very helpfull staff. Nice room and atmosphere. Good restaurant for dinner (try the huge pizza!) and breakfast. Bed and shower are not really suitable for a tall person (> 1,85m). Relatively busy trafic on the street in front of the hotel, which you can hear with the window open.
Excellent breakfast Decor throughout hotel was good Bar staff attitude was not great - continued to sweep up although we were waiting to be served Matress on bed was very, very squeaky
The room and restaurant Check in 2pm lunch finished 2.30, so we immediately had to go out,? (Pretty crazy) needed breakfast 7am were told not before 8am, we did eventually get it but thru arguing !!!!
dinner in the restaurant surly and unfriendly staff at breakfast with a lack of attention to our requirements
Excellent stay (3 nights). Very good attentive service. We had dinner at the restaurant twice - the best food we have had at a restaurant in a long time. Very professional and absolutely delicious. Great wines too. We would have eaten three times but for other plans. Would thoroughly recommend. Nothing at all. Regarding reviews. We found them conflicting, some extremely picky. We had no problems. True we did find two of the staff having their breakfast at the same time as us, but one presumes they have to eat before starting work and showed good manners, so not sure what that review complaint was about.
Very clean and modern quiet room Bathroom lights did not all work
Excellent food, bright modern room, great shower. Internally advertised 'dine and stay' not available as we had booked on- line, although I understand we received the internet room rate, a reduction of £20
High quality room, great bar, breakfast excellent None at all
Very friendly and helpful staff. Superb and plentiful breakfast which was freshly prepared. The only downfall to our stay was road noise which was a little disturbing, however, as we live in the depths of the countryside, we are used to absolute quietness and this has a bearing on the answer.
Very clean and new bathroom with nice toiletries. Warm. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff-got me a sandwich on arrival though kitchen had shut 30mins befoore I got there. Coffee was rather cold at breakfast
Friendly staff and very good food. Even breakfast was a pleasant and jolly experience - all too often a sombre affair!
Everything was just "ok", there was nothing wrong with the hotel but there was nothing to shout about either. For some reason they seem to have touched up the paintwork on some doors and put up no warning signs so my partner got her hands covered in paint opening a door.
Staff friendly, food was delicious...good clean comfortable accomodation, well located. Comfortable bed. Room a little small, otherwise good
Location was very convenient as we were going to local funeral. Liked decor and atmosphere, bed very comfortable.
The swimming pool, sauna & jacuzi. Even though the heating was on full in the room, it still wasn't warm enough. Everywhere in the hotel seemed warmer than our room.
The room , breakfast We came to sedgebrook hall only for a relaxing weekend.we wanted.to use the swimming pool and jacussi but we couldn't because these was out of order.at no point was we informed about this.would you consider letting us stay for free again when these facilities which we payed for are actually working
Hotel staff all were very helpful, lovely English breakfast. Long walk to the room, not ideal for the disabled. Bed was very soft, (each to there own) Noise in the corridoor very late to early hours of the morning. I feel there should be signs on all door (please respect other people sleeping.)
Good atmosphere in the bar, friendly and polite staff Looked to have good facilities Good food - nice breakfast with plenty of choice
The room was really lovely and warm, the breakfast was also really good!
Peace n quiet
walking the grounds
It is convenient to the sailing and breakfast was good i asked for a twin room when booking as I was staying with my mother. As it was a double we were given she went home and did not stay a bit disapppointing as I had specified it when booking
The Pub next door. The grounds and setting. Not too peaceful if staying in room during day, due to busy maids. Expensive if late checkout required
Location As above
The room was very spacious
The shower was great. Also the pillows were excellent. We took full advantage of the breakfast deal at £6 The picture on the TV in our room was off to one side
Clean , practical, very good breakfast, helpful accommodating staff. Convenient to city centre.
Quality of room and convenience of facilities Some staff didn't follow through on requests
Loation and cleanliness of the room. The price was the main factor for visiting our daughter in University. Would come again. Price of the breakfast if you paid for room only.
The distance to the City Center by Taxi was great!!! Only a Five Pounds! I did not get the room I paid for as advertise on the internet but the room was still clean and comfortable.
Hotel took payment twice !!
Big rooms! Staff were useless! Man could not find my booking, i had to psyhically go behind the desk and find it for him on systems i didnt know!!!!!
convenient for stay air conditioning noisy, and why three pillows for two people?
yes the state of there bathrooms we informed the managment of the dirt they tried to change our room for us but they found that other rooms where they same
unforiunatly due to busy schedule did not have time to use any of what looked like very good amieneties, but what i did use were very good eg resteraunt coffee lounge.
The helpfulness of all the staff The dining area is like a corridor and there were families where the parents let their children run up and down. Hell for the diner looking to enjoy a quite meal!
The staff were friendly, very helpful, making sandwiches for us even though the kitchen was closed, as we had arrived late due to the bad weather, and served us in the bar, the food was very good, hot and fresh breakfast buffet. I had an 'old blood stain' on a pillow case, which I know was clean but it did not look nice, I pointed this out to housekeeping and mentioned to the reception when I checked out. The radiator in the ensuite did not appear to work either, which was brought to their attention upon check out.
able to relax, enjoy a quiet business conversation in the exquisite bar area, and an excellent meal getting wet in between my room and the bar/dining area
Restaurant coped very well with a grumpy older member of our group Mobile phone reception is poor - between us we had at least 3 providers but all of them were patchy. I think this is an area problem rather than the hotel
lovely countryside location
Everything was great from the food and drink to the great leisure facilities
Very good value. pleasnt staff, would go again
The general ambience was delightful, a mixture of "outside and Inside" feeling, rather than the normal claustrophobic sensation of a "one-building" hotel. I admit the carpet entrance to the group of three rooms which my family used was a wee bit grubby - and one receptionist was a bit sharp. But i am splitting hairs. The hotel was 99% delightful.
The room was very comfortable
Great location and terrific style in public rooms. Howerever my room - whilst comfortable - tiny tv though - was a bit like a travel lodge in layout and feel. Appreciated the table lamp which was definitely not travel lodge. Would go back but was looking forward to something a bit special and was disappointed.
As an aviation enthusiast and appreciator of period architecture this was a superb experience. As a hotel stay, there are no negatives but you have to be mindful that this an active aerodrome site and therefore fairly remote. The surrounding area is pretty bleak, although this view may be influenced by the snowy weather during our stay. The nearest sizeable shopping location is Milton Keynes which is a 30 minutes or so drive.
Decor, flat screen TV, breakfast, size of shower Parking a bit restricted. Also door hinges could be oiled.
Nice room, enough space. Nice people good breakfast We missed a bar or railing or hooks to hang our towels
The welcome is always warm and friendly. The free Wi Fi is a bonus! The secure parking is also useful A small point but the access road to the car park is in need of repair
I was made very welcome. The room was clean, comfortable and modern. They were well designed and quiet. The breakfast was outstanding and the portions were very generous. It was convenient for public transport. Nothing
Friendly family atmosphere TV in the room had very poor reception - needs updating
Very quiet rooms.
The staffs are helpful and the locus of the hotel is quite near to the main bus station. The ceiling of my room keeps on sounding like somebody's knocking on it...and quite frequently. It scares me when I found the base of the bathing place in my room began is aleak.
We were given a wonderful welcome by Mary and all the staff in the dining/breakfast room. There was ample room for car parking as well. I cannot think of anything we did not like at the hotel. Food was plentiful, well-cooked and we had more than enough.
The warm and friendly welcome and the speedy breakfast. It is well situated for work
Bad quality breakfast
There was no reservation received when checking into the Hotel. There was only one room avalable for that night which was a smoking room which we had to except, it was lucky we checked in before going onto our venue otherwise we would not have checked in until 11.00 and no doubt there would not have been a toom available.
Nice helpful staff.
Comfortable bed Room was a bit pokey.
The grounds were terrific as we had our dogs with us. Our booking when we arrived at reception was under another name but our address?and the other name kept appearing on the computer? We did not purchase any breakfast as we thought it was very expensive at £12.50.
Cheerful staff I booked my room online but on arrival at the hotel there was no reservation for me. Luckily there were rooms available for the night. Light over bed was not working.
bar and food
Room very clean & comfortable. Nice extra touches, iron, board & trouser press also options for different pillow types. Loved the blackout screens.
Gym facilities Toilet in room had not been flushed!
good location (near the highway). the hotel is clean. comfort is good the restaurant is not a the level we canb expect for a Holiday Inn. Cost of internet connection (15 pound for 24 hours) is too expensive, and should be included in the room cost.
Nice grounds to walk round before dinner, well maintained gardens in a nice location. Although it was a no smoking room there was a distinct smell of tabaco smoke in the room.
the location was easy to find and near to where i needed to be the room was perfect and the staff helpful the bar prices where unreal and the beer was off too one ofthe worst and most expensive drinks i have ever suffered
How quiet the room was considering there was a wedding taking place, we were in a room away from quests who would be no doubt noisy returning to their accomodation. The price they charge for a pint of Soda Water/Ice & Lemon £2:65!!!!!
Extremely warm welcome by the gentleman on reception The fan in the bathroom was extremely noisy, did feed back on form when leaving
Old rooms and furnitures. Expensive internet access.
Nothing...............................................................................................( We booked in for 2 nights but were so cold & tired after the first night we gave the keycard to a cleaner and came home. The 'duvet' (for want of a name) was useless so I wrapped my disabled wife up in it for warmth and put as many clothes on as I could and sat in thechair all night-syill cold. The breakfast was extremely poor with the cheapest 'middle cut' bacon being served.) Other Holiday Inns we have stayed at have been excellent! And please note that Philip only has 1 x l in it! The bedding arrangements. The breakfast was very poor quality.
Rooms are modern & clean Traffic noise from M1 Motorway & noisey bathroom fan
Clean tidy good food
fire alarm went off 3 times in the morrning from 7.30 am, given wrong room on arrivel, no toilet paper in room, bit of a night mare to be honest.
Generally ok, but not cheap. No Fridge in room. Although a smoking room, it did smell 'stale'.
A good stopover on a long journey. Clean and comfortable with very good sound proofing.
You know what you are getting and facilities are appropriate Room very tired in appearance and smelled of smoke even though it should be non smoking
I thought that the lady at reception was really welcoming and helped me find the lodge with directions, she also offered to help if I needed anything at all during my stay and was still there the next morning, she must work very ong hours! No, there was a leak in the bathroom, but I told the lady at reception the next morning, it was not a worry or prolem for me at all.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Shabby from the outside, shabby from the inside. Initial feeling of not being welcoming at all due to the concrete jungle of the buildings adjoining and large buses parked outside the Premier Inn. Rooms had recently been refurbished (painted) unprofessionally (still felt grubby) and the bathroom had mould around the bath / shower area and the silicon sealant looked as though it had been applied by a trowel around the toilet area. Absolutely the worst Premier Inn I've stayed at so far. This goes below the usual standard of a Travel Lodge!!! If I stop here again it will be because I have no other options. I doubt Lennie Henry would have a smile on his face for this accommodation? I am not surprised there are not enough reviews for this Inn.
Polite helpful mature receptionist. Simple online booking. No towels provided despite towel rail. Also room seemed very stale and smoky even though it supposedly was non-smoking.
Very welcoming friendly staff to check us in even though it was 10.30pm.Explained evevything re facilities,check-out,comfort guarantees and rightly proud to tell us about the 50th anniversay.
Convienient location Poor signage from northbound services staff on check in could hardly understand me and was rude and hung up when I rang for directions. Leaking tap in bathroom and damp smell in the bathroom too.
I like that its easy to get to, comfortable bed and a cheap nights sleep. Apart from the room being so hot, the shower was terrible, I really needed a good shower and there was just a 3 small blades of water tumbling out. Only thing that spoiled it really, my girlfriend needed to wash her hair and just couldnt.
Brilliant staff and lovely rooms Food was dreadful, very expensive, bland, not much choice, sat around too long and I even saw flies having a feast on an un covered danish!!!!!
