It was quiet and cozy Some of the staff not all of them... The were not as friendly...
The scenery was nice. There wasn't breakfast on weekends. The breakfast on weekdays was only some cereal and orange juice, very disappointing. We only got free internet after we complained, because it should be paid for according to the staff. The window in the room couldn't be opened, because when we tried the window fell out. The safe in the room was locked and couldn't be opened by the staff.
I like that it was away from the city. It was quite, romantic, relaxing and cozy. It's a beautiful resort. There are many hiking trails to choose from. We actually completed the hike to the top of the mountain and it was breath taking. The food at the restaurant was fantastic and really large portions. We can't wait to stay there again.
The mountain atmosphere
The setting was wonderfull
Beautiful surrounding area, close to hiking trails Hotel grounds need to be cleaned a little more...ie. duck poop on walkways and litter on grass
the thing i liked best about the stay was the atmosphere, and the fact that the bar is open 24 hours nothing
The hotel is right for relaxing and stay well Little far from the main routes
The only redeeming thing about our stay was the staff. They were all pleasant and helpful even though the resort is clearly run without enough people: when your waitress is the hostess, buser, food runner, server and cashier for the entire restaurant...hire someone else. It's unfair to her and the guests. Rooms: awful, dirty, squashed spiders on the ceiling, loud heater, furniture in serious need of updates Wifi: don't advertise it if you don't have it Restaurant: sub-par food (we were both sick after dinner) "View": booked 2 months in advance, requested a room with a view(apparently of the parking lot) Check-in: couldn't find my booking, then overcharged my card after assuring me they wouldn't charge it until we cleared it up
The resort is approximately half way up Mt. Charleston (perfect location). Beautiful scenery of the mountains from our 3rd floor balcony and the resort had a mountain resort feeling. Close to all of the hiking trails. Fairly expensive to dine or purchase food items for your hike. Dinner and breakfast were mediocre at best! WiFi didn't work in or around the room and when I complained about paying the resort fee without internet, I was told the resort fee also helps pay for the grounds...isn't that what the room cost is for? 3rd floor has vaulted ceilings and for anyone 5'11" or taller, watch your head! Had a good time, likely won't stay there again.
A very relaxed laid back atmospere. The large fire place in the lobby really sets the stage
Nothing Rooms were small, TV only got 3 channels, not enough hot water in the shower, no vending machines, Bistro closed at 7PM, Had to go to management to get a snack as we arrived late, Paid 11.00 for two pieces of pie.
