Great service, coffee and warm welcome back with wine and appetizers in the afternoon
The amenities and extra touches like evening drinks were great. The rooms are compact but comfortable with great linen and products.
A little difficult to get a taxi in front of the building. Other than that, it was great.
Accommodating with pets. Great staff.
Nothing not to like.
Nicely appointed boutique hotel in quiet Tribeca neighborhood. The room is typically small, enough that two people might run into each other, but for one it's perfect. Bed is very comfortable, and the only noises I could hear were the opening and closing of the door for the room next door. One elevator and it's not super-fast, but fine. Staff are very courteous and eager to help. The lobby has a couple of couches and comfortable chairs for visiting/lounging and small bar - coffee in the morning, alcohol later in the day. There is an adjoining restaurant open in the evening which I did not try. There are a number of excellent non-big-chain coffee shops nearby (Laughing Man, Jack's, and Hungry Ghost), Duane Park patisserie (many kinds of delicious scones and known for their ring dings), and a few places to get light food (I highly recommend Nish Nush for fast Mediterranean cuisine, falafel and the like). I didn't try any real sit-down restaurants in the area. The hotel is very close to 1-2-3 and the A-C subway stations at Chambers St. Bonus points for: drawer and adequate closet space for clothes, shelves and cubbies in bathroom for cosmetics, etc.; coffee machine in room (Keurig) and plenty of pods; extra bonus points for wine happy hour (red, white, and sparkling) with lots of food (olives, stuffed grape leaves, cheese, meat, two dip/spreads with toasted pita and crackers), though the food can go fast; more bonus points for gratis espresso drinks in the morning (served by trained La Colombe barista) and two types of biscotti.
The shower is a rain-type and it's the kind I can never figure out how to get the water on and to the right temperature before I'm wet.
A great place to stay in the city. Location is absolutely perfect! I really like their lobby, small, simple, great for a little bit of work on the computer!+ complimentary coffee in the morning is definitely a nice bonus!
